Just completely insulted by Debbie. Having a tough time checkout my ourselves out and became frustrated. Clerk Debbie came over and started yelling at us. Told us we were rude, would not back down. Absolutely NO IDEA about customer service. Wound not let it go. Last timeI spend my $$ at this Vons.

Nice clean store, the staff is really friendly and helpful, their sandwiches are good! Especially the chicken pesto one!Update: today when I went to the store I noticed there are gearing out for Christmas, they were a little busy but one thing I notice is the service was so great. They have a great selection of items right now for sale as well as the chicken strips that are great. This time I picked something different and I enjoyed it very much, not only the chicken strips were good but also they were fresh they just came out of the fryer. I didnt notice they have a bigger selection of wines and the prices are very reasonable. Theres sushi bar I may have a lot of new things, this Sushi is made there fresh everyday. Also I notice that they have a good Starbucks there they were busy. Theres a lot of items for sale or a cheaper price and regular all over the store you just have to take them and look. Theres room for wheelchair, the parking lot is free, are bathrooms at the store and theyre clean. I also notice if you go to the meat department smells a little funny but its really clean. If you have time to look all over the store you will be able to find a lot good different. I love this store!

There should be an option for zero stars, so the one star is for the actual manager. I’ve been shopping at this VONS for 8 years. I shop here at least two or three times a week. It’s a clean store, except for the restroom which needs more attention. The new manager (I believe he’s Asian or Samoan)I don’t like (cranky, most of the time yelling at employees which is sad and embarrassing)....They should bring back the manager that used to work here before the new one came... I believe his name was Paul. He was “very kind”, or at least someone like him “nice”. This new manager gives a bad reputation to VONS. Managers should treat employees kindly and respectfully and work as a team. Being a good boss is crucial for your organization — a third of employees in one survey revealed that theyd quit a job because of a bad manager. Employees and managers should respect each other as it creates a good work environment, which increases employees’ productivity.At least some employees are very, very kind and helpful when looking for a specific item, plus they always greet you kindly, just to mention a few, a latina with short straight black hair at the self checkout, a fit guy in his forties with eye glasses in the produce department, an African-American lady at the cashiers, a slim guy, light brown hair at the self checkout (5 stars for them). I hope they bring a new manager.

Great selection, helpful employees. Except for the deli workers. I went for lunch meat, and they just cleaned the machine and told me the deli was closed. Please do not lie. I know it is annoying to clean that machine; however, I didnt ask you 1 minute before the close. The deli should be open until 8 pm, not closed at 7:30. If you do not want to work in the deli area, get a different position. It is unfair to treat customers in this way because youre lazy. The manager told me he would have them cut it, but I had already checked out with my purchase.

Clean, convenient and well stocked store. The store is clean and Starbucks inside is a nice bonus.. The staff are friendly and quick with check out service. Plenty of parking. Easy to get in and out. Will definitely be returning when in the area.

Two out of four self check-out kiosks were down so checking out took awhile. Other than that nothing spectacular. All the store employees were taking precautions seriously and maintaining a high level of customer service.

I like going there for my lunch. The sandwiches are reasonably priced and tasty. Or pick up a great meal they are delicious.

This Vons has everything we needed, so a one stop shop is always welcome to me. Went during a weekday, around lunchtime. Store had one check stand open, and self-check was readily available. Would definitely come back if Im in the area.

I like coming to this aPlace mainly for cooked food such as chicken and mac and cheese. The guys that work behind the counter were helpful and attentive.

A little over price, customer service was ok. Social distance was ok.

I absolutely love this place. The staff is really friendly and go out of their way to help. They know my kids and love it when we go grocery shopping. We absolutely love going to the Starbucks there because the staff is very quick at making our order. My sons get excited when they see them make drinks. Theres a bathroom and it has a changing table. The bakery is great too. Ordered a cake for my son and it was really good!!

The quality/freshness of the produce doesnt hold up with the prices. The prices in general went up big time. We suggest to have a cluster look on your receipt. Not all sales offers apply. And yes, when making them aware we got the stereotype answer - the system didnt pick it up...lol

I just moved to the Otay Ranch area a few months ago and I have been in this store about a dozen times. I noticed that there is one employee that sticks out in particular. I always see Bridgette at the register greeting everyone as they pass through and she always has a positive and upbeat attitude. You don’t get that very often anymore anywhere. She is such a great reflection of this store and I hope that this does not go unnoticed by management :)

I can’t post a picture but the cake they made for me was ridiculously overpriced $80 for poor looking two tier cake. Part of the reason was because the cake my daughter wanted they were out of the toys that go on top And it was copy written. So they couldn’t make the cake my daughter originally wanted but tried to make a similar one. $80 shame on you Vons’s last cake purchase ever. .

This Vons is less busy than some of their other locations. The bakery at all Vons locations has always had good quality. Once the manager helped me do a search for a product they used to carry, and then later called me personally to follow up whether it would be available or not. That was nice service.The prices could be high unless you shop their sales by signing up for their club card.This last visit we had the unfortunate experience of checking out and noticing some of the refrigerated food we were purchasing was expired. So check your dates before putting stuff in the cart. Or take the stuff to the front so it doesnt stay on the shelf. Apparently inventory doesnt always keep up with it all. If not for this, I would have given 4, maybe 5, stars.

The customer service in the deli/hot foods needs work. It took another worker to walk up and ask me had I been helped. The person behind the deli counter ignored that I was even standing there.

I love that the store is clean, fresh and organized. Every employee that I have met is polite and courteous. Theyre never too busy to stop what they are doing to help me find something that I need.

Not my favorite place to go. New to the area and it is the closest thing to me. I used to shop at Nob Hill in Northern California. For the same price as Vons, Nob Hill would unload my cart at the register, bag it, put it back in the cart, take it to my car, unload it into my car then take the cart back to the front of the store. All with a friendly smile and polite conversation. At Vons, you have to unload the cart onto the conveyor. Push the cart back out to your car. Unload the cart into your car. Then return the cart to a cart return. The people have been friendly. However, they tend to gossip with each other. The store seems very crowded with junk. I dont know why there are so many inflatable animals, umbrellas and stuff clogging up the place. The produce doesnt seem to be very fresh. I am looking for a better grocery store to go to.

This place is nice and clean and well-organized. But, I come here for the bakery and the soups which are both excellent.What I dont like about Vons in general are the grocery prices; they are higher and in some cases much higher than Walmart or even Target.I find this Vons in particular to be better managed then the rest. The bakery section is generally well-stocked and so are the rest of the Isles.Another unique feature of this location is a cashier who is super friendly, efficient and fast. This lady, and you will know who Im talking about as soon as you go through her line (if you should be so fortunate), treats all customers like they are family. I am always amazed at the energy and spirit she puts into her job. Which is why even if I find myself closer to another Vons location I will drive out of my way to go to this one. And without her this would have been a 4-star review.

I love Vons especially the one in Eastlake Parkway. Its always clean and the employees are friendly and there is always an abundance of selection of foods. Im a very happy, satisfied customer!

The staff are nice the bathroom is so disgusting and now they have a code on the door so when you go ask the pharmacist for the code she gets all mad the toilet is never maintained there is always used toilet paper sticking to the floor it smells HORRIBLE the mirror is all scratched up with graffiti so you cant see out of it but the prices and deals you gett with club card are amazing but I have to say please keep that bathroom maintained it smells so bad ans fix that mirror other than that its good

Need to be a Vons member to get products anywhere near their actual value. But, the process is relatively quick and as long as you dont mind data mining it works. They do have a good beer and wine selection though. So thats a plus.

It gets 3 stars because it is pretty clean and assortment is good. But it is incredibly expensive. I usually go to Sprouts for produce and there were items I bought yesterday 3x more expensive.

Mostly a nice clean store. The donuts and bread self serve areas in the bakery is messy often. They employees done take care of the area so it remains sanitary and clean always. The Monopoly game instant winner items are not available. This game is a rip-off.

Staff Friendly, but they need to improve on the quality of food. The last several years the food quality has decreased and you will almost always find expired food on the shelves! Even though I live across the street from this location, I drive to other locations to get better quality food! Oh, the meat department is disappointing and they lack a real seafood department!!

Overall the store is pretty good. They recently updated all of the shopping carts at all of the locations. This includes two kid carts... That you cant take outside to the car! They make you switch out shopping carts. My kids are young (2 and 3). Absolutely ridiculous!!

Vons is where I go over Wal-Mart because I hate crowds and how huge it is, but Wal-Mart has more stuff (home and tech related) so this is more of a grocery store but it does have toiletries, intimate items, batteries, greeting cards, some pet stuff, flowers, and magazines. The sushi and deli area there is decent and they just opened a Starbucks inside near the produce area.Theres a few employees there who have been working there for a while who are pretty friendly and helpful when you need it, but if you dont like talking to employees its a good place because its only ever busy on holidays. The self-checkout usually has no line. Theres tables/seating area inside and outside.

For a neighborhood store whose competition is WalMart they really need to step up their customer service. Unfriendly and not very helpful. Not everyone is an expert at self checkout so if someone needs help a kind word goes a long way. Also, better staffing at Deli during peak times would be great.
