I lost my set of keys and with the help of my landlord and borrowing keys from my neighbors, I was able to recreate what I had. Im so glad Andersonville Hardware Store was open early on Labor Day. They were able to make keys for me in a jiffy. Its a good thing I had a spare car key. Im going back this week and theyre going to program an additional car key for me at much less than the dealership would charge. Im so glad I was able to give my business to a good local establishment instead of a big box store.

So glad this place is just blocks away. Took in two random screws and asked for help replacing them. Got me what I needed and pointed me to the brackets to look through too. Small is better.

I stopped into Andersonville Hardware after locking myself out of my apartment, hoping they could recommend a locksmith. The clerk was super helpful, looking up a great locksmith for me (Chicago Locksmiths are awesome btw), and placing calls to secure me an appointment that day. This damsel in distress without her phone is so eternally grateful for the very kind help in a bad moment. My Dad always said if its an emergency, go to an independent hardware store, because they can help you. Im so glad Andersonville Hardware was there!

Cute little hardware store. The prices are reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise considering lots of small businesses tend to be overpriced. I will definitely be coming back here again.**Update** Ive been coming here quite a bit over the past year, and I have really found the staff to be kind and personable. They care about the community and their customers, and they tell the best stories.

Friendly and helpful staff and a quaint shop. I bought a lockbox from them but later realized I didnt need it. They let me return it and helped me get the one I need. Ive also gotten multiple keys copied here very quickly and very cheap. Highly recommend for basic hardware needs!
