The best part of this grocery shop is that it was very accessible to everyone. It was near the bus stops, taxi stands, a few blocks from the subway, and a block away from the mall. We always buy here our groceries for everyday needs. They sell hardware items, home decorations, and other home necessities, too. This place is a real-deal!
So manei good sdf
Its one of my favorite shops. They have a lot of goods, wines, and fresh produce that are really affordable. This is a perfect place to get the food products clean and free. This place is still busy, but youve never been in line for a long time. Workers are friendly, and they know their shop well. Its highly recommended!
YOU CAN PARK HERE! Good to know right? But you can park here and walk across the street to the other markets and restaurants without fear of getting towed. So, that’s always nice.Selection is pretty wide for an Asian market, so don’t be fooled by its size. Everything is organized in a logical manner which makes navigating the foreign labels easier to navigate. Overall, I’ll definitely make this my primary market for Asian goods.
This is a place you have to visit if you need reliable products at a very fordable price. It also has a large selection of fresh produce on the shelf that are not always available at other places. This is the best grocery shop I have ever visited in town for me. Highly recommended!
This grocery store definitely receives top marks from me. The shop isnt too crowded, and it smells pleasant and is air-conditioned.
Amazing selection of produce, meats and all sorts of dried goods. HUGE SELECTION of sauces, rices, noodles and candies. This is the closest place I’ve seen to an actual Hong Kong grocery store. THE PARKING LOT IS COMPLETELY CRAZY, so you might want to park on the street (nearby) and just walk the last 150 feet to the entrance.
Always crowded and long check out line. The price is reasonable and plenty of choices.
Selling food not fresh; be sure to check their expiration date! It is suggested to avoid. H-mart is much a decent place to shop
I could hardly wipe the smile and excitement off my face when I was first got here. I found out about this place only a year after landing here, which is a year too late.I was amazed about the size and selections in this place. Now obviously this place isnt as big as the Super H Mart at Niles. But this is a true Chinese grocer, this is one of the biggest grocer in Chicago with Chinese selections. The grocer at Argyle is also big, but the selections are different, having more Vietnamese items. Park and Shop is also known as Hong Kong Market, and has more Chinese items from Hong Kong and also SE Asia. The selections of vegetables, meat, hot pot ingredients, dumplings, instant noodles, etc, are plenty and various. The most selection Ive seen in the Chinese grocers. Whatever you want, if you cant find it here, you probably wont find elsewhere! Look at my photos to see the selections and what excites me!However, the prices are not nevertheless cheapest, some are but some can be found cheaper elsewhere, so compare nefore buying. Moreover the place is quite old and parkings are few, thats why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars.
Convenient supermarket. Has a lot of yummy snacks, drinks and food!
Most often, the elderly man at the live seafood counter is very rude. However, someone nice usually comes along and restores my faith in mankind. Prices are very reasonable.
My favorite to go to Chinese store for groceries. Price are decent.I dont recommend buying the bread near the roast duck section. I feel like they are really old bread from bakeries from Chinatown. Everytime when I buy the sponge cake (3pc) they always go bad in 2-3 days. There are no dates on them when they are made. Waste of money. I hate the parking lot. It is always full and parking space are so tight. I just park in the streets!
Thx for Greate food:)
The Chinese employee didnt help me out, they dont speak English, the place smells really bad and there were many animals like whole dead chickens and ducks packed. Fish and Lobsters were cramped up into one tank. Thats animal abuse. No animal should be treated like that. Everything was organized and there was lots of snacks. Mostly everything is cute. Overall its ok.
Awful cashier in the world!!!I just ask a common question about the bussiness tax exempt. The young lady was impatient and rude. She told me “If you dont like tax exempt, you can pay the tax fully.” I just ask a question. Whats wrong with her!
This supermarket has a huge variety of bread, seafood, fruit, vegetables, and spices. Theyve got everything you needed. They were more likely to be one-stop-shop. They had food stalls as well. It was such a fascinating experience. I will definitely visit here again.
The shops location is quite convenient, and it features a big aisle, ample parking, and excellent customer service. Its ideal.
Had a horrible shopping experience due to the cashier just straight up not wanting to help me. Not recommended, One star rating for my visit today.
I wasnt impressed compared to other oriental type markets Ive visited
Grocery store for all my Asian ingredient-needs 🥰. I always find everything, and they’re very good about restocking items on the shelf so I don’t need to ask around for items.I always buy potato starch noodles here because I struggle finding them in other Asian grocery stores ):But this place has the usual necessities! Fresh fruit and veggies, meat and fish, frozen foods (dumplings, wraps, baos, pancake, snacks, etc), snacks, ramen, spices/teas, sauces, pots and pans, etc!
I like to shop at this supermarket because of the convenient location, food lunches, good selection with good prices and the deli and meat counter is one of the best. It is never a totally crowded or long line. All the staff is very friendly in general.
I love shopping in this Chinese store.. My wife and i enjoy the place every time we go...
Sometimes you need the true Chinese stuff and this is one of the few places you can get them. Much better than the chinatown market bc there is parking, plus its bigger. Its what you would expect from an Asian market, no frills and cheap prices. By Western standards its dirty and no one is friendly but they have a decent selection of Chinese goods (some other Asian stuff too, but minimal). You can get a 50lb bag of rice for 20 bucks and any sauce imaginable which is a steal compared to trying to find those at Jewel/Marianos. They dont like you paying with credit if your purchase is small and if I were you I would park on the street if your busy....parking lot is small and Ive had other cars open their doors straight into my car before. 4 stars bc it really is pretty dirty and they are missing a fresh seafood section that most Chinese markets have. But at the same time there is parking, low prices, and youd be hard pressed not to find what you came here for.
快平靓 ! its quick in and out cheap good quality come come.
Their snacks are often near expiration; be aware!
Pure China food and living tool, there are too much people there in normal day. You may suffer time on wait packing space .
Shopping is very convenient and the waiters are friendly, nice
It was hard to take time to view the menus and select meals with so many people pushing and shouting at one time! But a great experience nevertheless.
I purchased my groceries and cooked foods. Best BBQ pork
Nice shopping environments, Good price, Courtesy services, Valued supermarket !
A very good store and have very good price and practice social distancing
Authentic ingredients and decent seafood and produce.
This grocery shop offers good quality of meat and fresh veggies, fruits, and dairies, too. They also sell frozen items. The attendants here were very friendly and accommodating. They were informative, too, they gave me some knowledge about meats that I never know about. They cut the meat clean and cost-friendly. They were cheaper than the other stores in the city.
Parking can be challenge but great place of you love tofu and a vast variety of rice
Best Chinese supermarket in town.
Amazing place, customer service could be better, but love shopping here.
Has most varieties of Asian food.
Excellent for all your organic foods and even better when I saw all vegan foods there. Im loving it! I will be visiting again and thats great!
The shop supply China food material which you may not find in other supermarkets. The space find little small.
They don’t honor the price sticker on the packed meat item. Female cashier said the system has an error and printed the wrong price. Then took my items away. Very rude. Will not come back.
Over priced. Rude cashier. Bad customer service.
This place expanded its store space recently to bring in more food varieties.
It get pretty busy at time, parking is limited.
It is a great market for chinese ingredients and food. But if you are paranoid by the pandemic, then I do not suggest you to go here. They do not have a temperature check when you go in. There is a bottle of hand sanitizer where they put the carts, but it is usually empty. I am not sure of they even clean the handle of the cart between uses.I suggest you to wear gloves, masks, and bring a bottle of hand sanitizer yourself so you can clean the cart up. Keep distance when you are checking out.One more thing I do not understand is there are always packed in the market after the period of noon. It just seems like people do not even have work. There are always people there.
Bad service, rude cashier, and don’t honor the price printed on the sticker. Then took my items away.
A huge place with a nice variety. But plenty of stale produce.
Nice to have everything in one Place
This is equivalent to the H Mart downtown. A big airy Chinatown market that is actually fun to shop. Wide selection of fresh, frozen and packaged goods. Also has a decent selection of utensils and plates etc. Shopping with cars is easier than Chinatown as they have a parking lot. Kinda out of the way though. And it is not on the main road.
Good service
One of the best places to shop for groceries. They have one of the biggest and cheapest selections in Chinatown.
Fine place for anything Chinese Chinese grocery youre looking for.
Great selection. Chinese immersion experience without getting on a plane. Staff are very polite in Chinese. Very crowded all through the week. Parking lot and nearby street parking. Gorgeous Fresh fish, fresh roast duck. Good fresh veg and fruit. Plus lots of canned, dried, and frozen food from China and Taiwan and other parts of Asia. Moderately tidy and clean.
There are a lot of varieties of food selections. But they need to make the store more clean and modern.
Has most things all Chinese grocery stores carry, and along with the seafood and dry herb smell. Parking can be a challenge as it is limited and shared with the restaurant.
Good selection
It’s packed. Warehouse type grocery store. A bit dim and spartan, everything crammed close. You’ll find everything you need to make an Asian meal or snack.FYI parking lot is not very big. Parking spots are a little ambiguous. So be careful parking.
Central location in Cermak Chinatown. Parking available. Next door to Chicago Public Library.Compact. Well stocked. Good variety of Chinese & Thai foods.
Best Chinese supermarket in town. Full of selections and really nice staff. Last time I went they gave a free mask to every customer. That’s when you know they care.
Pretty good selection of protein shakes and supplements. The post work out protein I bought here is actually cheaper than amazon. The guy at the check out counter is pretty chill! You also get lots of free samples to take home.Easy street parking.
They have everything needed to cook up a nice Chinese cuisine
Fresh food is expensive and not fresh enough. Dry food are not fresh and usually without expiration dates. I bought too many things and had to throw them into trash because the bad quality. And they don’t take return btw. So we stop going to this place.
Very good Asian cuisines and food and foreign and domestic eateries.
Im glad to see that staff are geared in PPEs. This is probably one of the better stocked grocery stores in Chinatown but, with that, it usually means its likely busier than other stores and difficult to maintain social distancing.
Im buy everything I need to cook my Chinese plates 🍽
We visit this grocery store at least once a week. Though it does have a fishy smell sometimes, you will find great flavors from all across Asia here.
Was really hoping for some red crab! Guess theyre not in season 🥺 plenty of live lobster for Christmas though!
Fresh and authentic Chinese market with great pricing.
This place probably has the largest selection of Chinese produce in all of Chinatown. They do have a few produce from Korea and Japan. The parking is pretty limited due to its popularity in the area. There is a bit of overcrowding at times for the same reason I mentioned above but maneuvering around the store shouldnt be a problem. The staff is polite. However, if you plan to buy any beverages from them please check the best by date as some of the drinks are past those dates by either weeks or months.
I was just passing by but I like the location
The best Chinese grocery store you can find around Chicago. The have full section of produces, fresh meat, seafood and dry goods. And they carry some hard to find Asian item also. Worth the time to do some treasure hunt there.
Nice People ✌
I used buy BBQ food at the department every time I was shop here, but not this time and no more. Cause I found out the man whose work in there didn’t wash his hand after he use the restroom. What a shame.
It was new to me when COVID is over it will have a lot of places open most Are closed out you have to schedule 7 days in advance to visit most museums
Its good for Chinese, not for Asians. chicken n fish variety is very few. Veg & fruits are good. Well maintained. Can improve stuff for other countries of Asia :)
Great selection of produce and a solid butcher. They also sell prepared soy chicken, duck, BBQ pork and more prepared cuts of meats. They also sell plenty of household goods and cookware/dishware at the back. The largest market in Chinatown with its own parking lot.Just waiting for someone to open up a Ranch 99/T&T/HMart equivalent in Chinatown one day...
Asian super market with deli, produce, butcher and appliances. I bought half a Peking duck for $8.75, 10 bags of Kitkats, angelica root and other stuff I cannot get elsewhere for reasonable prices. Stock is better on Friday and Saturday though. This is the only place I know selling tins of (cloned) Red Robe Rock Tea and they only have it occasionally.
Best Chinese supermarket in Chicago city limits. Big produce selection. Quality generally good, although can vary week to week. Meat and fish counter with good selection of seafood and half a dozen live fish to choose from. A few oddities (saw alligator a few times). Frozen fish ball selection. Roasted duck/chicken/porkbelly. Many types of rice and other dry goods. Big row of sauces. A few aisles of frozen foods. Some household goods in back. Its a little dirty and can get very busy, but worth it for the selection. Parking lot can be treacherous to maneuver.
Decent Asian supermarket! Good produce and meat selection, as well as sauces and Asian pantry items, housewares
Not best practice and professional compared to large grocery in Toronto or Ca but one of the few front runners around Chicago Chinatown. A practical operator. Produce do not seem as good quality and fresh as the Chinatown Supermarket, choices leaning towards todays Chinese from China than yesteryear immigrants. One good thing about them is there late closing hour.
It a pretty neat place to buy this amazing food and there are many options to choose from. The reason I am rating it 4 stars though is that its a bit over-crowded because of the popularity of this place. If you can come here early and get here with minimum people it can be a treat.
Good source for Chinese cooking ingredients, good price for most items here.
Lots of interesting finds if you are in search for a more authentic Chinese experience. you will find a lot of their fresh ingredients as well as authentic prepared foods. you will even find some small knick knacks. i gave it 4 stars because the staff is not very friendly or helpful. we had some questions about items and no one seemed eager to help.
Great Chinese food selections, but sometimes not that fresh.
Staff is very courteous and they have great prices on most items! Absolutely the best supermarket around.
This is my go to place to shop for Chinese ingredients. They have a vast selection of items for hotpot as well as kitchen utensils. Produce is affordable compared to most groceries. They have an extensive selection of sauces and hard to find non perishable items. The parking lot gets crowded so it is good to go when they first open.
Over priced. Go to the HongKong Market. It is only 5.min from there. Better selection and cheaper prices.
Always crowded. The place is pretty dirty and some of their frozen seafood selection is very low quality. I only come here for convenience since the asian grocery stores I like to shop at are further away.
