Decided to try out a new place for some fabric to make a new curtains. That was very helpful and organized and knew where everything was located. My special order comes in about 2 weeks and looking forward to getting it.

On my day off i Googled ‘fabric stores’ and was decided on spending my money for a craft in a small business. I drove all the way here from Indiana. ALTHOUGH— this business is an entire warehouse full of treasures and I cannot stop raving and praising how wonderful and helpful all the staff treated all customers. Towards the end I was being helped by a really kind and helpful young man named Israel. Come to find out he IS THE OWNER. He was so helpful and humble I really left there feeling like a valued customer and I found everything I was looking for our pillow craft. THANK YOU IMMENSELY ISRAEL AND THANK YOU TO ALL YOUR WONDERFUL STAFF :)

I love this place SO MUCH. It has everything, or near to it. Theres a specific magic to the sense of hunting for the perfect thing- and the amount of creativity being in this place inspires is jaw dropping.

Crazy amount of selection!! Prices super reasonable and they have literally everything you would need for your sewing project. Lots of vintage notions as well. You could easily spend a whole day here. I picked up almost 20yds of fabric + notions for under $60.

Huge Warehouse of Fabric! Three floors of fabrics. Some bulk notions. The prices are about half of what you would expect to pay at the chain stores. Many beautiful brocades and special occasion fabrics. Many elastics and ribbons and trims and bias tapes to choose from with great prices. Tons of upholstery fabrics and drapery fabrics. Huge selection of knits, double-width fabrics, Cottons and blends, tulle, satins, and crepes, fleece, etc. Just bolts upon bolts and rolls upon rolls of beautiful fabrics. It is a warehouse, and a bit cluttered in areas, but easy enough to find your way around through all the rooms. There are stairs, and a few tight squeezes, so I dont think it is really wheelchair accessible.This was our first visit, and we spent three fun hours here exploring everything they had. We certainly plan to return soon! By the way, it was rather warm in the building. I wore a sweater expecting it to be cold, and instead, I got overheated a couple times. Just wear a long sleeve t-shirt, I guess. 🤷😉

I bought some fabric and other items. The fabric here is beautiful. Will shop here again.

They have a good selection of fabrics for all kinds of projects. I come here as my first choice for costume materials. They do carry some thread and notions related to clothes making and upholstery, but if youre looking for general crafting stuff youre not likely to find it here.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! But please at least go back to normal business hours! Its bad enough we cant shop on Fridays and Saturdays. With work hours, I can only be there on Sundays which makes it very difficult to make final decisions or if there is someting else I need to complete my project.

Giant place with floors and floors of fabric trim etc. No air conditioning so it was pretty toasty in the second floor. But, amazing selection!

Stopped by today for the first time just to have a very unpleasant experience. Asked an older Caucasian lady for help, she looked at me up and down and walked away. Hispanic cashier directed me over to customer service where I kindly greeted a man “hi how are you?” Just to get such a whiny answer “ OH I DONT KNOW ASK ME AT 4PM” .. I asked him if he possibly would have a wool fabric that would best match a coat I brought in just to get a “YOUR KIDDING RIGHT?” As in answer, sent me over to a room said if you find nothing in aisle 2 to the left I have nothing, thankfully a lady there overheard these obnoxious answers and directed me elsewhere with my business. I saw and completely understand how busy they are, But got God sake if you have such a terrible customer service attitude GTFO of working with people . I seriously wonder if people like that wake up everyday just to be miserable and give others such a hard time.

If your looking for a fabric they will most likely have it. They are always pretty busy so its best to come early. Great store over all!

Im so happy to be able to go in my favorite fabric store. The hours are abbreviated & you have to call and set an appointment to come in. You take as long as you want. They havent inflated prices like other stores. Hours are 11am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs.

Absolutely GIANT. Its just floors and floors of fabric with endless room. We spent HOURS there and only discovered a fraction of it. It was also very, very cheap and the staff was very friendly. I cant wait to go back (after Covid)

I frequent this establishment, at least two to three times a week. Overall, I’m pleased with their service. A good place to shop, feels like you’re at home.

Lovely boutique for everything knitting, sewing, and embroidery-related! I really appreciated how carefully curated the selection was, and it made knitting seem accessible, even to a total novice like me! This will be a great place for gifts for my yarn savvy friends this holiday season!

I took my GF here to find some fabric for her project, thinking their selection was going to be like hobby lobby or joan fabrics, was i wrong! This place is nothing like those two. The selections of fabric are out of this world, but it has a moldy smell in the basement where it might have flooded some time ago. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody whom works with fabric or upholstery, but dry your fabrics on high for 20 minutes and wash them as soon as you get home because i dont think the owners treat the place thoroughly for pests.

If you are looking for anything you can likely find it here! The largest and most diverse selection of fabrics I’ve ever seen. Im talking the equivalent of 2-3 football fields worth of fabrics. Honestly, its a bit overwhelming but you find so many options and the prices are excellent! Do not go for ambiance...this is not that place. Customer service is efficient not solicitous. They answer your questions and keep it moving. Which is good if you dont like people in your face when you shop.

I love this place!! A huge assortment of fabrics and leather at really good prices!! And love that they will cut leather in any size you want if you are creating a smaller scale item that doesn’t require a whole hide. It’s a bit overwhelming and there’s a lot to look at! So plan your timing accordingly!

The staff is awesome the selection is one of the best I have seen in my 45 years of sewing. Very seldom do I ever walk out of there with not finding something I need. And when I do they are more than happy to order it for me.

Fun store to shop. They sell fabric and furry rugs cut to order, as well as a gazillion other home items you didnt realize you need. Its close to Castro Theater and there is a parking lot on the same street, so its super easy to get to.

There are so many choices! This store is a maze of beautiful and unique fabrics for any project you can imagine! Go downstairs to the basement for their discount fabric ;) The staff is super helpful and they really know their stuff. Be aware, its easy to get lost and I always lose cell service there so if you get separated from your people, it might take a minute to find them!

This is an excellent fabric vendor. They have an incredible selection for creating custom formalwear, quilting, and upholstery. You cannot beat their prices. I bought 16 yards of fabric (some of it specialty!) for just over a hundred dollars. The staff was very helpful; if there is anything you can’t find, mention it at the register and they will help you find it. I will definitely return as soon as I bust my current fabric stash!

This place is amazing. They have all the kinds of fabrics, lace, accessories etc. you can think of, and all for great prices!The only issue Ive found is the layout to get in line, and the cutting counter area is a bit crowded. But honestly, for what they offer at those prices, its not a big deal and doesnt bother me at all.Big plus! They offer student discounts!

I love this outlet. Be prepared to walk and maneuver through some challenges spaces. Although it seems overwhelming and disorganized at first glance, there is a method to the madness and the staff knows whats going on. There is only 1 freight elevator, but they manage it well. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I always end up buying more than intended. Perfect place for designers, seamstresses, instructors, and fabric hoarders like me.

Im in wonderland when I come here, and I dont sew, but dream of all the things I could make if I did. I get materials and notions that I use for him decor. I visited this store recently while on a visit to IL. What a delight it is! The selection of items--primarily yarn, fabric, embroidery thread, kits, books, and notions--is very well curated to fit the shop and the customers. Ill be back.

This store is fantastic for fabric variety especially since so many fabric stores have closed. Joann is more of a craft store than a fabric store. This store is owned by Jewish ppl. Their holy day, the Sabbath, begins at sundown Friday so they are always closed early on Friday. Look at their opening/closing schedule so you ll know when to come. Their prices are reasonable also.

I was in fabric heaven!!They have every fabric on the planet! 🙂 Rooms and rooms of fabric.Don’t expect much in the customer service department. I was blessed to find ANGEL and he was very helpful and great at cutting fabric, so that was good.The women cutters weren’t quite as friendly. 🤷🏽‍♀️I’d definitely recommend it though...

If you in need of a special occasion fabric and cannot find it at your local fabric shop, this is the place to go. This place have three levels of all kinds and texture of fabrics from special occasion fabrics to home decor and color and matching trims. Oh so nice. I recommend that you take a lunch with you because it can take all day to check this place out. It cover a whole block.

Let me start out by saying: they. have. a. map. For the store. To be honest, it was a little overwhelming... there is an absolutely mind-boggling amount of fabrics. Im literally shaking my head right now, thinking about it.The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly--I saw multiple people walking and chatting with customers: providing options, thoughts, etc.You walk away inspired... so many possibilitiesThe prices are very reasonable.

I needed 24 yards of fabric for my project. After taking that fabric with me to Texas, I realized I measured wrong and was short 8 yards. Luckily, they were able to ship me 8 more yards of my fabric and I had it within two days of calling them. Needless to say, I am VERY pleased with how everything turned out!

This place is like a candy store for seamstresses and tailors. They have up to three floors (including the basement) full of a wide variety of fabrics. The only downside is that some of the employees can be kind of rude. This place also does not have enough parking space to accommodate every customer. There is parking in the back that fills up fast, and people typically block each other from getting out just to secure a space. I recommend coming here on a week day or early on a Sunday to beat the traffic. Saturdays they are closed, unfortunately. Another downside is that if you are trying to get a price on something, you have to avoid asking Steve because he always charges more for the same thing. If you are buying something and youre not trying to get ripped off, ask Jeri instead. She always gives good prices, and she is very helpful.

This is the most amazing fabric store I have ever been in. Its in a great trendy up and coming area located in a cool historic building. The assortment of fabric is endless!! The prices are great! But above all the customer service is excellent! Very nice and friendly. I cant wait to bring my friends and then go have lunch nearby. LOVE IT!!!!

Great place to get everything you need for an art project, home decor, prom dress or virtually anything else. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, and the whole space is really well organized. Just get in there and youll be totally amazed and inspired!

Just drove 2 1/2 hours here to find a closed early sign and 5 other irritated customers. I came for a few items I can not buy at Joann fabrics 15 minutes from home. I needed 10 minutes total time because I know where it is located in massive store and would have been out by closing time marked on door. I will now drive 2 1/2 hours home without what I came for. The employee was at the door saying this will be normal for the next 5 months. That tells me this is common and pre-planned. I would understand family emergency, but this was not the case. They plan to be closed at 130 on Fridays. It would be appreciated if the web site would be corrected. Here is another thought, if you want your employees gone by 2:00 tell people you close at 1:00.

Going to the Textile Discount outlet is an experience like nothing else if you like to sew or do any craft that requires textiles. Wow is all I can say! There are stories and many rooms to go through so plan to spend the day and bring your lunch because when you see what is there and their low prices you wont want to leave. The staff is wonderful and helpful. Special thanks to Bobbie who cut my fabric. She is one of a kind and so great at answering my questions. Cant wait to go back

Wow. There selection is astonishing. I went a few months ago while visiting a friend in chicago, and I was dumbstruck at the low prices. They have everything from wedding style lace to decor fabric. The basement is a treasure trove of ribbon and odd hardware. The staff is always moving, but very ready to help. If you need basic supplies like needles, thread, and notions, ask at the display counter inside. If no one is working the area, just stand in cutting line. Whoever is helping you will get you whatever you need. They will also answer any questions and help you find things. I found the store overwhelming the first time I visited. The second time, I asked for help and I felt like I belonged. The volume is overwhelming, but allow lots of time for your visit, go with a list, and ask for help.

This is textile heaven.With a multitude of rooms and three flies you can spend an entire day browsing for goodies.Its best to be a self sufficient shopper here as there is limited staff on hand.I purchased my living room curtain fabric here a few years ago and still love it.Have fun exporting!

Excellent selection and great prices. I can see how it might me a tad overwhelming the first time as the moment you walk in youre immediately immersed in a sea of colorful fabric from what seems like floor to ceiling. I equate the feeling to being s kid in a candy store! Everything is actually quite organized. The prices are easy to find on each fabric and the staff is definitely efficient. This first visit was for halloween costume fabrics and it was packed and pretty obvious that thr majority of visitors were there for the same reason. Nonetheless, everything I needed was easy to find and the stations were well tended to. I was done in no time. Cant wait to head back for my next project.

Should be five stars but today Friday they close at 2pm I get there 12:45pm. They already closed and the sign at the front door say well close at 1:30pm should out by 2pm. I dont know what time zone they use.

Come early. Wear comfortable shoes. Bring a lunch and a bottle of water. Take your allergy pill and loose your mind. OMG! ! I come from Michigan to shop now I need a 12 step program for this fabric addiction.

Three endless floors of stuff!!!! Ill never go to a chain fabric store again. A crazy selection, along with notions. There is a whole section dedicated to buttons, snaps, zippers, etc.Workers were awesome, all were very polite and offering assistance.

Yesterday, a friend and I ventured to the Textile Discount Outlet in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. It is trip everyone should take. Im not going to lie, being a suburb guy, the drive into the city is never easy... Having only one functioning eye, I can assure you, highway driving is never fun, and highway driving in the city is never a picnic. I made the trek however!It was such a blast! For any true fabric lover, hours can be lost here... Perhaps even days! I need a second trip, just to take it all in. The building is amazing, and the stock is even more so. You can find everything! Upholstery fabric for days, weeks even, and the lace and tulle selection is unrivaled. The staff is super amazing and helpful, and I had quite a bit of fun shopping with my quilting cohort!Their quilting fabric selection was quite large, and now that Im working on some art quilts, this place contains endless possibilities. I need to go back sooner rather than later. Perhaps once it warms up a bit... Like in a couple weeks... Or maybe once I finish some of these projects before I start 12 new ones.... Who knows!Either way, Ill be making many more trips here!
