This used to be my go to place for gluten free items but the minute amazon took overs at least 75% of what I used to get has been discontinued there. Its not because the manufacturer stopped making it, its because amazon decided not to carry it any longer. Since January, I think Ive only shopped there a handful of times. Every time Ive gone I come out disappointed and leaving thinking what online store I can order the item Im looking for or is there a store in my city that sells it. Amazon, more and more you are losing me as a whole foods customer or is that the plan all along to get people to stop shopping there so you can get rid of whole foods. Hmmm.

This is the grand daddy of magical Whole Foods stores. I know CV19 has done a number on social vibes but this location had in-store bars (yes, multiple), classes, and a cool international food court long before it was the in thing. I hope theyll be able to resume that some day.

Customer service has really gone downhill here, its basically worse than Walmart customer service at this point. The employees are nice but dont expect them to be able to find anything for you if you ask, or if the item is in stock or even if they carry the item. Theyve told me inaccurate info many times. On top of that if you get the wrong item dont think youll be able to exchange it on your next shopping trip unless you have your receipt, and who keeps their supermarket receipt. They dont exchange items anymore unless you have a receipt. I am shocked how bad customer service has become at Whole Foods. I really think Walmart or any other discount big box retailer has better, or at least, just as good customer service as Whole Foods at this point. It used to be you paid high prices here, but you also received good service, not so anymore.

I was on FaceTime with my friend while she walked in the store, she was harassed and cursed at, and eventually had her photo taken as she exited (by employee, Chris Gutierrez). Disappointing that Whole Foods allows an employee who clearly has no class or ability to control himself. If management reads this, I would encourage them to look at cameras at approximately 6:45-7 pm (and up to 15 minutes prior) Wednesday, June 2, to show this employee harassing and subsequently taking photos. Shameful.

I am rating the hot bar food here: I come here for the excellent quality non-GMO all-organic vegetable self-serve food made with grass-fed beef, free-range chicken. Most all restaurant foods give me mild to severe reactions due to the impurity but totally not at this place. The quality of the food ingredients here is the absolute best in all of chicago. Aside from super expensive restaurants, there is no other place in Chicago that can surpass the food quality aside from what is offered here. This Lincoln Park location always has much tastier food than the Lakeview one. Whoever cooks the food here is highly skilled, and is a real artist. Keep up the great job ! (Lakeview might have the same dishes displayed, but its not cooked with care, so it tends to taste bland over there)Ps) important: the hotbar food should only be gotten right when it opens, which is at about 11:20-45 am. If you miss that time, things will get old and dried out. Also I must mention that even at 11:20, Ive seen a couple of old dishes being re-displayed from the night before. After reading this, I hope they know not to do that anymore!

All you have to do is know exactly what you need and exactly where to find it. It takes many horrible visits to figure this out, but now I know where everything is and the best route to take to get everything I need. I also eat like 59 edibles before I go. It makes me feel like Im in a movie and my goal is to quickly save some dried mango from being held captive in whole foods. Its fun. Then I go to the cashier spend an hour looking for my Amazon Prime QR code and hold up everyone in line for two hours in order to save to save $1. Once the cashier says theyll scan their qr code this time, I hand them my credit card and walk out knowing I saved some dried mango and all I had to do was spend a trillion dollars. Yeah, every market is hundreds of dollars cheaper. But can you drink red wine while you shop?

Big thank you to Whole Foods for saving me money today!! The East-access outdoor parking area for regular customers is limited to about half as many spots as it’s had since ithis location opened-while the rest of the parking lot is reserved for whatever it says in small print on the signs that are illegible in dusk light. Srsly, did no one get mock ups of the signs and look at them from the drivers perspective in different lighting scenarios? The speed bumps in the parking deck are killing my car, so I only go up there when the weather is truly ugly. Not to mention the assault of extremely bright lights as you come down the escalator. So TY to WF: no ground floor parking.no shopping.save money !

Senior Hour is false advertising! Please don’t go to Kingsbury thinking you will shop exclusively with seniors. It is such a great concept but this WF is allowing amazon shoppers (20 somethings) to shop with the seniors - loads of them. They block aisles, you have to maneuver around them, a very risky situation for seniors. This is actually putting seniors at more risk, not prepared for the mix, feeling safe to go. I have not been out for 2 weeks, went to WF because of the concept, they will be hearing from me if i now get sick.I gave 2 stars because i called a manager that was receptive and understanding about the issue, hope something changes soon.

Prices have really come down over time and this store definitely has the best vegetables around. If youre worried about this place living up to the nickname Whole Paycheck, come here for the bars (one emphasizing beer, the other wine) or to eat (theyve redesigned the main grilling area but still have separate sections for Asian and deli sandwiches) instead. Rating my experience today at 3 stars. Made my rounds this evening through the veggies, bulk, butcher, and bakery and was very happy with the customer service received in all these departments if, and when, needed. Unfortunately that ended at the deli where I was met with a cold shoulder and glares by the gentleman on duty as if to go away. As I asked questions regarding the meats and cheeses my inquiries were met with short and snarky responses as if to go away. I then proceeded to start with my order as needed after drawing my own conclusions about the offerings provided but became very uncomfortable when I asked to purchase sharp cheddar and was told they were out and to go to the packages on the shelf (which I purposely avoided). This would have been fine if the sharp cheddar brick wasn’t clearly visible from the counter top and this guy acted like he wanted to be helpful. For-sure left a bad taste in my mouth.
