Speed by this store to buy a wedding card and they had a few among other for birthday, anniversary, get well and more. The lady at the register did offer help and also recommended other items. The store has plenty of different funny items to get or give including charms, shirts, jewelry and more. Will come back.

The perfect shop for gifts...or a treat for yourself! Curated collection of inspiring books for adults and kids. Chicago-made lotions and serums and *facial steamer* (my go to gift to cheer up a pal). And best of all: Affordable, unique jewelery including by Chicago artisan Michelle Starbuck (who uses found metals so enviro friendly) and grand earrings designed by the shops owner, Emily (who is so nice). You can sign up for art classes too! Only problem: I love it all! And its in close proximity to Mr. Kites candy shop - I cant get close and not resist a homemade chocolate treat :)

I love shopping at One Strange Bird! As a huge candle lover the candle options are my absolute favorite! I love that the candles always burn clean and the wide range of scents gives me plenty of options for whatever mood Im in.10 out of 10 would highly recommend checking it out!

Ive loved shopping at One Strange Bird for years. Seriously, I have never walked out of there without finding something I had to have. Now they even have craft boxes for kiddos during quarantine. SO CUTE! Im already shopping the website for Fathers Day.

I was looking for the perfect Fathers Day gift and found them and so much more at One Strange Bird. After not visiting any shops and social distancing it was nice to visit a little boutique. They had hand sanitizer as you walk in and i felt very comfortable. They have such an eclectic mix of jewelry, candles, books, and cards. The owner and her adorable daughter are super helpful and fun!

Love this boutique. I visit Chicago once a year and always stock up on new jewelry from OSB each trip! They have creative pieces, including Chicago themed necklaces and earrings and t shirts. Pieces range from small and under stated to bold and shiny! I guarantee when you wear their pieces, people will ask where did you get that from?

This place has a dangerously cute selection of earrings, necklaces etc and I can get small gifts and birthday cards for my loved ones. Gift for them, gift for me... it’s a win/win!

The onesies that they have are copied from another small business and to make matters worse they dont even give the other shop credit. In fact this shop owner has the audacity to say that these onesies are designed by one strange bird. This review much like my comments on Instagram will probably be removed instead of being addressed. With all the bad going on in the world why would you willingly steal someone elses designs and pass them off as your own?? Especially from another small business thats just starting out. Its disgusting. And I will never shop here.For anyone interested i posted photos.

I went to make rings with a friend. My conclusion from this experience was that rings are hard, and thats why I will rather pay someone to make them for me. Its a fun learning experience. The rings I made looked crappy, but a more skilled person could probably make something pretty sweet. The staff are nice and helpful. The shop has a bunch of cool stuff. This is my go to shop for wedding gifts, baby shower gifts, and girlfriends birthdays. Love that its a neighborhood woman run enterprise, I cant resist all the wonderfully curated jewelry and the wide range of products- from bags and notebooks made by an NGO in Tanzania to handmade necklaces made by single moms! Since so many things are made in house you can have custom onesies or shirts made at a great price- I had this custom t-shirt made for my son’s second birthday!

It was a very eccentric place filled with great artwork dealing nature. The atmosphere was extremely pleasant and calm. I came here during Do Division fest and the manager was extremely nice and helpful when I needed help finding artwork.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! Amanda at One Strange Bird made my life so much easier! I live out of state and my niece (who is also from out of state) had major surgery at Univ. of Chicago and has been there for a couple weeks. I wanted to send her some sort of care package but being that she is on a feeding tube, i couldnt send chocolates or any food. She is 12 so what fun would flowers be?! After hours of searching online for something unique, this store came up. I called not sure if they would be able to help but they sure did! Amanda helped me pick out items from their store that were fun and different. Not only that bt she wrapped it up and had it delivered to the hospital. She even hand wrote out a card for me too. Thank you for making this such a great experience.

My friend and I signed up to take a paining class. It was BYOB (bring your own bottle) so a pleasant way to have a drink and do something fun! Great price with or without the Groupon! The instructor is an amazing artist and really took you step by step through the process of the theme painting, so if youre not an artist dont worry! There were no rules either, so it allowed you to incorporate your own creativity into the paintings. Perfect place for friends, couples, or even an early start to a bachelorette party, birthday, really anything!! Very cute boutique items for sale as well.

Bought a Groupon and tried to schedule our date no less than five times - email, voicemail, etc. Finally had someone return my call, but when we came in, they had no record that we had reserved a spot. Luckily not everyone that was scheduled to come in made it. The picture we were copying was pretty complicated for (drunk) beginners - it was a small canvas split into four smaller pictures. Overall a decent experience but a lot of annoying little things.
