Great spot! Im into books about art, my wife loves novels and my son..well, hes 15 months so he likes to eat any book he can get his hands on. We all love this store and always get great recommendations when we make it in. Theyre also able to order books they dont carry and have them delivered to you! Great customer service...Beautiful store...lovely owner...Screw Amazon. This place is golden!

I stumbled upon this shop right before their opening (about a week before the pandemic started) and having going there for all my book needs ever since! Their staff is always so helpful and willing to chat about a good book. Theyve provided fantastic recommendations for myself and even been able to pull some options when I was shopping for a gift. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I had a very short experience here but great one! I goofed up and didn’t wait to get a confirmation email before coming to the store and picking up the gift card I purchased online. The ladies working there were so kind and got this ready for me right away! Great service.

What a great neighborhood book store! They are so nice, have a great curated collection, and really do an excellent job at making you feel welcome and a part of the community. We have a little one and cant wait to take her there for readings and to fill up her bookshelf :)

This is fantastic place and was exactly what I was looking for. Mary, the owner, shares a love for books that makes her a delight to speak with and has a wide range of knowledge. There is just something about going in to a bookstore and thumbing through a new discovery that you cant get online. Go support this place.

I was searching for a cocktail book to give as a gift. The owner was very helpful in directing me to their cocktail/drinks section and offered up suggestions. I then found some essential of cooking and Chicago-based books to add to my own collection. They can get anything you’re looking for in a couple of days. And dog-friendly too! Support your local bookseller!

MSB is a wonderful place. Open only a few days before the oandemic shut them down, Javier and Mary quickly pivoted to offer great pick up and delivery service, as well as on line programming. Their staff is knowledgeable and eager to offer great suggestions. The range of selection nn is also top notch!
