Great folks work the shop. love the upstairs section. definitely check this place out before going to Amazon or Barnes and Noble. Show some love for the Newberry and keep your money local!

Best bookstore in town! This bookstore has lots of historical titles, quality selection with excellent review. Buy some Chicago or Newberry library souvenirs here. Friendly staff who can even order a book for you if you are willing to wait a coupla weeks.

A wonderful store--a really well-curated selection of books and gifts. Some are classic, some are funky, all are interesting. Plus they have an amazing selection of greeting cards.

Thanks to this place I take one of the best memories of my stay in Chicago: books. I managed to enjoy a fair and I could buy several books for less than 10 dollars. The best thing is that they are books that I will value as precious jewels, books really to keep.
