Great, friendly and extremely knowledgable team ready to nerd out and discuss liquors at length. Fantatastic inventory selection and they even have a variety of samples available after you show genuine interest in the products. I made a mistake of passing up sherry cask Arran whiskey they specifically had for their store. Hopefully Ill get my hands on it next time. Zac and another fellow were both warm and helped me explore a great collection.

Warehouse Liquors is a great spot to find a variety of spirits, wines, and beers for every occasion. The staff is very knowledgeable on their selection and have exclusive limited releases of special drinks.They also have a free Spirits and Beer tasting every Thursday and wine tasting every Friday.Whats not to love about the place?

I’m visiting from out of town and wanted to surprise my partner with a bottle of bourbon to wind our night down. I went about 30 minutes after they opened. The gentleman that was working at the time made me feel as though I was bothersome but I just chucked it to a bad morning. There were a great selection of options and he was very knowledgeable, I’m happy with my selection. 3 stars because making me feel welcomed and wanted is very important! BUT I would definitely recommend and will visit again on my next trip to Chicago

This place has alot of specialty items. Huge selection and great curating of craft beers. And they answer their phone! Convenient location downtown on the loop. Knowledgable staff and open off hours. The name is misleading for this location- its not really a warehouse. Ha

Exactly what you had in mind! A wine shop stocked with all the booze you could want. I come here for formal situations, such as stocking up before home parties or looking for a special wine. The prices are reasonable, and the employees are friendly. I highly recommend that you visit here on a regular basis, plus they are now open on Sundays!

May be a good store in person, pretty bad online. Why? Easy. They arent interested in answering fairly basic customer questions. They have an online form for just such things. Unfortunately, the conversation was like this:Me: Hey guys! Do you guys have X or Y whisky?Them: We have 5 of X but not Y.Me: Great, can you tell me what specific bottles of X you have, and is it in this price range?Them: Some, yes.Listen, guys. Im not asking you to give me your whole inventory in a spreadsheet, Im asking for you to give me specifics on a couple bottles of hard to find, triple digit bottles of scotch here. Were not talking about Jack Daniels and Im not going to drive 2 hours to visit your store without knowing at least some sorts of specifics. If you cant be bothered to answer these questions, dont bother having an online form for questions.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Immensely impressive single malt selection, with a wide variety of original and independently bottled releases. A lot of store selections as well. And you can taste before making the purchase. Well worth a trip for any whisky fans in Chicago

I love this shop. If you want the basics at the lowest price, go to Binnys or a similar establishment. If you want stuff that you may not be able to find at the retail multiples, at what I think is a very modest price bump, together with knowledgeable and helpful staff, then come here. Its a proper shop rather than a warehouse, whatever the shops name suggests. I focus on buying scotch / bourbon / rye and craft beer and hard seltzer and am rarely disappointed. Good selection of wine, rum and white spirits too. I come here weekly and enjoy it every time..

During my visit, I saw a nice selection of scotch whiskys including Compass Box and Single Cask Nation. I also saw and picked up some very nice quality rums. The prices are a little high, but understandable for the location.

We walked in and had no intention of buying something, only browsing. For a while, I was set on another business before I tried this spot. The staff were highly professional and did not hesitate to assist us! He began a conversation right away and helped lead me to what my new favorite wine will be. We ended up leaving with the purchase of 7 bottles and 3 glasses of wine!

In fact, calling it a liquor store does it a disservice: Warehouse is like an art gallery, except the art is delicious and gets you tipsy.Gene, the proprietor, is a master curator, stocking pretty much anything you can dream up, and scouring the world for unique experiences to offer to his customers. His house cask picks are the best Ive ever had.Ive found that the most rewarding way to experience his store isnt to look for particular brands or years, and instead rely on his encyclopedic knowledge and uncanny ability to match tastes to bottles. If you give him a description of what you like or what sorts of flavors and aromas youd like to experience, nine times out of ten hell know exactly what to recommend. And this is where the real fun begins: as he gets to understand what you like and dislike hell be able to introduce you to entire new realms of booze youd never have considered but instantly fall in love with.You could just pop into Warehouse and grab something off the shelf and have a great experience, but the real joy of being a customer there is the unique relationship youll develop and the wonderful things youll taste and learn as a result.

We call this place Boojie Liquor because the prices are high and they wont give you samples while they sit there and drink whiskey in front of you. Great selection though!

The best liquor store in Chicago. Excellent selection and range if spirits, wines, beer, bitters and mixers. Everything is selected with value and taste in mind. Many selections are the best in their class or category. Also has hard to find and/or collectible spirits. They have a robust presence on social media. Owners (Gene) videos for whiskey tastings are informative and fun to watch. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely worth stop and spending a few of your hard earned dollars.

Well stocked liquor store with a super cool sign! Located in downtown which makes the fact that this point has its own dedicated parking lot quite amazing. Entire staff was friendly, from the elderly smiling security guard all the way to the staff member that let us use their chiller to cool down our red bull!

Great selection and fair prices, especially for being a stones throw from the Loop. Unfortunately, customer service is hit or miss. The last two times that Ive been in typify my experiences here. The first time, the staff could not have been more engaging and helpful. I dealt with a couple of long-haired headbanger looking guys who were knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic. They helped me select some great bourbon and I walked out with three bottles. I have a pretty large bourbon habit and I buy a bottle a week on average. Its a passion and finding guys who are that enthusiastic about it is nice. Today, after really talking up my previous experience, I brought a friend who buys a ton of scotch each month. Different guys behind the counter (about 3:30pm) who could have seemingly cared less that we were in the store looking to purchase several bottles. Questions were responded to with the least amount of engagement possible and no suggestions were made, even after asking, for substitutes or comparable items to some of the things that we were looking for. It was borderline surly behavior and it was like pulling teeth to get a modicum of interest or attention from the three employees who were on duty. Left a little sad because I thought I had finally found my bourbon source in Chicago. I guess Ill keep looking

In a word. WOW. So many delicious items to choose from. I had a hard time deciding what to bring home from this place. Well worth a visit when in the Windy City!

Great local place in the South Loop, they have an impressive assortment of craft beers, including a deep selection of regional breweries. Im not much into hard liquor, but their Scotch and bourbon displays look quite impressive as well. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Zak is the MOST knowledgeable and courteous spirits advisor in the Chicagoland area. Always helpful and friendly. I drive 37 miles just because of him. Store has the best private barrel selection of Bourbons and whiskeys I have ever seen. A must if you are in the city!PS...The entire staff is very cool!

Cool selection of stuff, but OUTRAGEOUS pricing. Their cheapest Gin is Gordons, and I applaud them for making it their bottom shelf gin... but it isnt a $23.00 gin.Everything here is about $3-10 more than what youd pay, anywhere else.

If youre looking for a decent selection of common spirits with a several uncommon bottles thrown in, this is a place to visit. Pricing is a little high, but thats to be expected when youre shopping in our near the loop. However, if youre looking for rare or limited edition bottles, dont bother as this place only sells such bottles to their regulars.

You cannot put a price on passion, honesty and knowledge. Nor can you let distance keep you away. Gene and his team at Warehouse Liquors offer all of the aforementioned. Genes dedication to his customers as well as his wealth of knowledge of product are priceless. Gene has gained me as a customer for life! Cannot wait to visit Warehouse Liquors again soon!

I was impressed by the selection of bourbon. The prices were very reasonable. The Elijah Craig Barrel Proof C919 was actually priced at MSRP, too bad I didnt travel with a checked bag. The selection of Michters was good, and I saw a couple of Eagle Rare bottles. One of the only places Ive seen J.T.S. Brown BiB outside of KY. I will definitely visit again next time I am in Chicago...and I will bring an extra bag to take any purchases I make back home.

A fantastic selection of wines, craft beers and liquors complemented by the friendliest staff Ive found in Chicago, yet. Ive shopped there for myself and for events on probably more than 50 occasions and have never once been disappointed. Id highly recommend if youre in the market for a decent bottle of wine or a craft beer (but if you want the cheap stuff, they have that, too! :D )

I walked in and was looked up and down by the middle aged man behind the counter and received a turned up nose as if you don’t belong. I was wearing khakis, Ugg loafers, and a nice sweater. Maybe it was my military haircut. I’m a soldier.

The owner is full of knowledge of all the spirits he carries and he has hundreds to choose from. He has a barrel program, where he chooses the barrel and has it bottled. Each barrel is unique.

Bad customer service. Never once was acknowledged. Had to flag them down for help even then the guy was smug in his answers I got the feeling since we werent local they could care less about us. Would have spent my money elsewhere if I had other options

Did not come in to shop but will certainly return to do so. I was actually merchandising a particular brand of vodka and had questions for a staff member. I walked away with a wealth of knowledge. Not only on what was required for the job, but in general on other brands I might like to personally try in the future. Looking forward to a return visit!

Rude as hell! I was recommended this place from my hotel as it’s in close proximity. No one offered me help in selecting a bottle of wine. I moved a few bottles around before I found what I was looking for. I asked an employee to help me reshelve something because the coolers were a bit chaotic. When I went the register, a short man with glasses claiming to be the manager confronted us...telling us we made a mess in his “house”. I calmly explained that I tried to get assistance, and I was thrown out of the place. We are upper middle class 50 somethings...not drunk or disorderly, clearly willing to drop some cash in this store. We will tell hotel staff to stop recommending this place.

They have a very hippy vibe in the liquor store. They also have some unique selection of alcohol (wine and beer). They might be a bit pricey but its worth going in if you are arpund the area because they also always have few liquors on sale that are a steal.

Out of date beer in stock, arrogant staff and all around dump for its prime location. I will continue to do business with Binnys and Lush instead of this place.

The staff was very friendly and they had a good selection. To the people complaining about the prices, of course stores are going to be slightly more expensive near the heart of the city. That being said, what I got was only about two or three more dollars that other places outside of the city.
