My Control 4 system went down and the original company that installed went out of business. My partner found this company and I am so grateful. The call was scheduled--Erik the technician showed up on time. Explained the challenges of an 11 year old system and was able to get the system up and running in under 6 hours on site. Erik was able to go above and beyond to repair what was initially reported for as we fixed one issue--we found another. He was calm, professional and gave me his full attention. Every part of our experience with AVDG was smooth, and their attention to detail was stellar. We had a large project to install in-ceiling speakers all throughout our condo, and they sent out a project manager (Todd) to scope out or condo and gather our requirements - within days, they had a plan ready for. TVTI (now AVDG) has been servicing our Control4 Home Automation System for the past 7 years, and they (Ryan) recently helped us upgrade our old system. Their service has always been outstanding. The remote service team (especially Morgan and Dave) is responsive, patient, and always committed to solving problems. The installation team (Alex and Sam) for our new system was not only quick and courteous, but went above and beyond to make sure we understood the new system, helped us integrate other electronics that were NOT part of the package, recycled outdated equipment, and then, once we had some experience with the original design, worked with us to make minor modifications at no added cost. I cant recommend them highly enough.

We had wiring installed through the house we were renovating in 2008 and that was done well, and then a second contractor installed the movie theater and the sound system equipment in 2010, but we could never really get anything to work the way we wanted and always had issues getting the blu ray player to work and then I found TVTI in early 2018, what a Godsend.The sales quote to replace equipment that had stopped working, and to set us up with a suitable audio and video experience, was reasonable. Everything got installed in three days (we had a lot to change !) and apart from one hiccup, which took a while to sort, all is now working as we wanted. Thank you TVTI.

Recently Tunnel Vision Technology installed additional CCTV cameras at our building. Prior to Tunnel Vision, we had used 2 other companies in the past. Tunnel vision came to our office for an initial meeting to discover our needs and proposed what we wanted to do and their suggestions on what we should do with options.The field installers were knowledgeable and courteous to all of our office employees as they worked during business hours. It ended up taking two days for the job and when they left, all of the supplies were neatly organized in one place and all of the debris were cleaned before they left to come back for the second day.Their customer service representatives followed up with us when the job was completed within a week and another check up call at later to see if everything was working properly. We have other projects on the building and we will definitely consult with Tunnel Vision for the job in the future.

I am very satisfied working with TVTI. They continue to provide excellent customer support, even after a year of my equipment being installed. No matter the time of day they are responsive and helpful to find a solution should an issue with the system arise.

I just bought a new construction single family home and they installed an extensive audio/visual system that is working great. They are punctual, efficient and have come in at budget on all projects. TVTI provides top notch service and are responsive to issues that crop up from time to time, which is the nature of technology. Their team of installers and technicians are courteous, professional and they know their stuff. I have recommended TVTI to several friends over the years and they have delivered.

I have now had TVTI out for multiple visits and am still having issues with my network, TVs, etc. They claim to be high end however they charge high end prices for low end, budget services. In short i had a small fire in my place and all of my equipment was working beautifully (network, home theater, outdoor sunbrite, surround speakers) prior to the fire. Following the fire I paid TVTI to reinstall the equipment that was removed and cleaned post fire. TVTI came out and for nearly $10,000 they charged me to literally just plug and reinsert equipment back into its previous position in my home. During the install they were unable to make it right. My network is still terrible, many of the TVs still dont work properly. I was told one of my receivers and surround speakers needed to be replaced as they are now not working. My home theater had to have a new HDMI cable run as the previous one magically stopped working. I had to replace my entire ABUS system as the technicians couldnt figure out how to get it to work properly. They then proceed to tell me that making certain things work correctly wasnt part of the scope of the project- and proceed to attempt to invoice me for additional labor and hardware in order to make things work (ie. need an entire new network). I just want to come home and have things work properly- TVTI has failed in that regard and I am now 10k in the hole and have to reach out to another company to make it right. As a matter of fact my brother in law in Glencoe had hired them for a large project and he told me he ran into the same issues- they had to come out multiple times in order to make something right - charging him every time for their services when they shouldve fixed things on the first visit. Claiming each time - well the reason this doesnt work is now you need to upgrade to this other device....etc etc. A reputable high end company needs to make things right for their customer and not attempt to nickel and dime them every step along the way. I would look elsewhere for your home automation needs.

I hired TVTI relocate and reinstall an existing Control 4 system. The system is now running seamlessly. The two onsite technicians (Tyler and Tim) did an outstanding job. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. Other than the change in esthetics and physical location of the components, an improvement that has impacted us the most has to do with how the volume settings were programed. Since each component operates at a different volume setting, the system was programmed to reset the zone volume to 8% when switching between component. Prior, the zone volume remained constant regardless of the component, creating extreme volume fluctuations when switching between components. We no longer have that issue. This small adjustment has made a huge difference! I’m Looking forward to phase 2! Thanks TVTI!

I highly recommend Tunnel Vision Technology (TVTI). I inherited a very complex Control-4 Home Automation System when I purchased a condo. The system was a mess and the technology company that did the implementation and maintenance was unresponsive and unprofessional. I chose TVTI due to their reputation in my condo building. I couldnt be more impressed with their responsive customer service and the quality of their onsite technicians. My system automates lighting, music, video, and HVAC and includes 4 HDTVs, 3 DVRs, AppleTV, itTunes/AIrplay, DVD player, iPhone dock, 4 touch screens, 4 universal remotes, and a large stored music library. Every onsite technician is well trained and doesnt waste any time understanding my system which is pretty impressive. They stay until they get the job done and often they can do the work remotely. If anyone is considering home automation in Chicago, chose TVTI. Also, anyone who owns a Control-4 system should upgrade to the HC-800 and the iPad interface. It makes all the difference in the world.
