Its hard to find a good mechanic, but Pep Boys in Cherry Hill is my go-to! They always give the best price on tires, no matter which brand you prefer. Andrew was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in finding the perfect tires for my application. All of the staff, both at the desk and in the shop, have always been honest and helpful, and the technicians always perform top-quality repairs on my vehicles. Will return for years to come!
Tried to stop in to have a screw removed from my tire and have it plugged. I have Pep Boys Rd. hazard warranty. While I was in there I got told it would be at least a two hour wait for a five minute plug. Then I got told that someone decided to book a bunch of appointments at the same time. I’m sorry but your failure to manage your schedule should not create an issue on my part. I now have to drive on an unsafe tire and find a gas station, which I have to pay out of pocket for, to plug my tire. Absolutely a dying franchise.

Have been using this Pep Boys location on Haddonfield Road for at least 15 years. I have always found them to provide honest and reasonably priced repair and maintenance services. They will let you know if theres a specialized repair that can only be done by a dealer. They offer great hours 7 days per week--- yes they are open Sundays. Highly recommend for your basic services-- oil change, brakes, tires, new battery, alternator replacement.

Timely service friendly staff but beware Predatory selling. I was sold several services I did not need based on false prices and unclear communication. I was also given incorrect tires. I asked about this and I was told the tires I wanted were not in stock so they gave me cheaper ones.

I never learn my lesson. No matter how many times people tell me to avoid this place, I go for close-to-home convenience, but end up being robbed by this company (Specifically the Haddonfield Road, Cherry Hill, NJ location). They charged me $900 for service, and nothing had been fixed. They then had the nerve to attempt to CHARGE ME ANOTHER $1000 FOR THE SAME ISSUE THEY NEVER FIXED!!!!!! After having it out with them, they did it for half 🤕. $2000 line of credit down to $300 over the span of 24 hours. Avoid at all costs, and save yourself the immense heartache and poverty!
Ive been a customer for several years and for good reason. Excellent service and attitude. Im a senior citizen with a 2005 vehicle. Had a diagnostic test yesterday and nothing was found - I wasnt charged! This kind of service is remembered!

Currently sitting in the parking lot waiting for my brake lights to get replaced again. I originally came because it was out. As I was leaving, I was told another light was out that wasn’t out when I got here so I had to turn around and come back. I came back in and the employees are too busy smoking to actually fix the light. I’m not sure if they know I can see them but they are in the garage puffing instead of working. What made it worse was the first time I came, one of the employees who was not working on my car was sitting on it in the trunk when it was open. Now I got my car back and it smells like nothing but smoke. Ridiculous

Was originally quoted over $200 for a part that Auto zone down the street had it available for $99. Locally the Service Manager dropped the price to $109. Price gauging perhaps? Plus $200+ for labor. I understand that you are here to make a profit, but come on, marking 200% parts is simply armed robbery.

In the past two weeks I have attempted to make purchases in the Cherry Hill store and ended up leaving my items and the store. Both times were due to inattentive staff. Additionally, the store itself looks sloppy and disheveled. I worked very close by for 20 years.While I prefer Pep Boys’ selection to Autozone, Autozone stores are always clean and neatly organized. Autozone staff seems far more attentive. This used to be my go-to. I doubt I will be back.

This is one of those instances where you wish you could grant zero stars to a business.This morning I visited the Haddonfield Road location of Pep Boys, in Cherry Hill NJ. Upon arrival I met Neil Ramcharan, the service “manager” at this location.My appointment was for a relatively simple issue: I have a Bosch battery which is it still under warranty and needs to be replaced, due to loss of power on cold starts.I explained to Mr. Neil that I have recently moved twice (graduate school), and did not have my receipt in hand. However, this battery was manufactured for sale at Pep Boys only, as verified by my SKU number (SKU: 9998137) and was stamped with its manufacturing date, for warranty purposes. I further requested Mr. Neil to review my service records, where the replacement of my battery was to be found.To my surprise, Mr. Neil indicated that “mysteriously,” the record for my battery replacement could not be found in “the new system that was installed 3 months ago”, despite having dozens of records showing all my vehicles being serviced there over the years (tires, oil changes, batteries, etc). This was just a lie and its such a shame that people are getting scammed this way.After about five minutes of rude and condescending service, it had been enough. Given Mr. Neil’s abrasive and unprofessional behavior, I asked to talk to his management. He refused to provide the name of his supervisor/district manager, and instead adopted a more confrontational and aggressive attitude — shameful, to say the least.So, with that, I ended up losing about $200 and not having any support to cover the cost of the replacement. This despite the fact I bought the most expensive line of battery, which should have been covered for up to 96 months.My advice to you is simple: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Pep Boys will not stand by its warranties. This place is literally out to get all it can out of unsuspecting customers.

I drive with Uber and got a flat tire and needed my tire changed they did it with very little notice and I was thrilled that they took my car as they were closing. So happy I tipped $70.... If I could take the $70 back I would. I had my spare tire on my car and they had to put it back underneath of the bed of the car it was not put on properly and fell off while I was driving on a highway and hit another car. Luckily no one was hurt and no damage was caused otherwise I would Be doing a lot more than leaving a bad review.
They were professional and were on time. Eventhough I think $50 just for a oil change is a little high.
I had bought a Champion battery here in December, and had an 8:30am appointment to have it replaced (as it was determined defective earlier that week). I arrived at 8:12am with my car. At 9:50 am my car was finally ready. If I knew it was going to take almost 1½ hours to swap out a car battery, I could of done it myself. Although this new battery has a 3 year MFG warranty, I was told that the warranty on this new battery is only valid from my original purchase date. AR and Neil were courteous, but the wait time for this particular scheduled service was much too long.

Havent always had the best experience with other Pep Boys locations in the past, but Levi has been great to our family on more than one occasion. Hes honest, upfront, and makes himself available to explain repairs. We will continue to take our vehicles to this Pep Boys location because of the great service and trustworthiness of their manager!

Great customer care!! I came in with my 1yr old. The previous mechanic put in the wrong parts and as a result my belts wore out. Nick did an excellent job keeping me updated on my results and what my best options were. The mechanic did great he had to be creative to correct the mistake. They gave me a great deal and all around great service. I am grateful for the genuine expereience I had. I will always ask for Nick because I know he will be straight forward and tell me what is needed, this will be my go to mechanic stop from now on.

Unbeknown to me Pep boys is not associated with their service department. Not only do they double the cost of the same product that is sold in the store they are attached to but then add labor on top of that. The labor was expected but not the excess markup. That being said, it was the 1st poor experience Ive had.
I wish Pep Boys, let me work the computer and let me pick out my parts, I would get them right, and let me, mount and balance my own tires, there would be any problems .

This location was a lifesaver! I was desperately looking for someone to fix a broken tail light on a late Friday night. By the time I realized Pep Boys was open till 9pm I’d called several different businesses who wouldn’t even try to fit me in. I called this location and they were attentive and kind, got me in immediately and fixed the tail light with no fuss. I don’t know about some of you, but I hate car service because of the sheer intimidation but there was none of that here! Will definitely be visiting again for all my car needs, kindness breeds loyalty.

This pep boys location is awesome! Went to Wawa to fill up my tires after thinking they just lost some air due to the cold weather and found my front passenger tire had an issue. They took me right away (even though they were busy and closing soon) and were able to fix my tire for a great cost. Everyone at this location is incredibly helpful, informative, and friendly. I will definitely be back! Thank you so much guys!

Good place to buy auto parts
I have an older car (2002) went there for all new tires, brakes, balancing and alignment. I had to take my car back twice after that as the brakes were making noises, the tires got flat, the car was pulling to the right. I was disappointed as this was such a basic service and i had to miss work twice in order to get it fixed.Also was told one price and then they called me with a COMPLETELY different price that was 2 times more, when i said they shouldn’t do anything else and i would be there to pick up car, i got a call back and they brought it back down to the original price.All in all just a hassle.Update: I emailed them and never heard anything back, they think that showing up on reviews and then doing nothing will make them look good.
100 percent better than Auto zone. The prices are usually cheaper than Auto Zone. If you sign for the reward program, points are always added to your purchases; therefore you get great coupons and offers with great discounts up to 25.00 off on a single purchase. Great store. This place has changed for the better. CJ and Dan deliver that old fashioned personal, no rush customer service.They have always gone above and beyond to help me during my quests and given great advice based on best practice. They know their stuff, their customers and value the relationship.As for the store, it needs a renovation and better stocking of smaller parts and perhaps a better use of the main area, which I heard some of which is in the works.Competitive pricing especially when using the website discounts and incentive program.

I like going to Pep Boys to get my oil changed since theyre the cheapest around. Going to this location the oil change tends to take 1.5 - 2 hours on average, which is a long time, but the price is worth it. Today, I go online to schedule an online appointment and an advertisement on their website claims that it can get done in 30 minutes when you make an appointment online. When I proceed to do so and arrive at my scheduled time, I tell the representative why Im there and he smirks and shakes his head in disbelief. I ask him how long it will take, and he says Ill be Lucky if I can get it done today. He claims they only have 1 guy working and theyre backed up. When did you even make this appointment?, he clicks on his computer like hes never used it before. Waiting several hours for an oil change is ridiculous, so I left. The clerk convinced me to set an appointment for another day before I left, but this is the last time I walk into that place claiming to have an appointment and they look at me like I have three heads. I hope corporate reads these, because this location needs better staffing and better coaching for their workers on how to use their online appointments pronto. Previous visits werent much better. Staff is shifty eyed and very transparent about how theyd rather me not be there. Makes the whole experience very unwelcoming and uncomfortable. This is in addition to waiting for 2 hours after setting an appointment. If spending an entire afternoon waiting for an oil change to save a couple bucks sounds good to you, then by all means. Im going to spend a few more bucks and go to a place thats more professional and doesnt eat up my entire day.
This just happen now. 9/26/16 3:30pm.I call ahead of time to see if they can check the engine code for me. The person say yes. Bring it in we can check it for you. I drive 20min to the location. I ask nicely that I spoke to a person who say he can check the code for me just bring it in. He say what?!!! No. We are too busy. Come back tomorrow. So I ask what time... He say whenever you want! Huh? Really? No explanation nothing. Felt like he just want me out of the door!!!

Came to this place to get new tires on my truck and paid extra to have the spare tire replaced as well, when I pick up the truck (5 hours later)and noticed that the spare tire was not replaced, they took back the truck and 1.5 hours later told me that the truck was ready, but when i pick it up I had the same old tire on the spare, talked to Neil and he told me they will take take care of it, waited another hour and asked them if the truck was ready and with a horrible attitude told me to take my tire and come back another day because they’re too busy, that’s after I spend $780 that day.
When to get a part I order on line, the person at the front talking with someone he knew, had to wait till he finish, then tells me had to go to the back by parts, ok no problem, get my part and something else, now have to pay with the guy at front, lucky for me the person talking with the pep boys guy told him to take care of me and left, now I said to myself good Im going to pay, now comes another employee to ask him about restocking a product, so instead of letting pay he start explaining what to do to this other person, long story short, something that could of take 3minutes it took almost 15. The employees at the auto service area in the back of this Pep Boys in Cherry Hill are the most considerate and friendly and knowledgable people you can ask to meet. Jarnelle and Dan helped me with my oil change and and checked some things. So polite and patient. They offered helpful advice and gave me accurate information. I have had good experiences with others as well going back several years. This location is set apart by its intelligent and friendly service. Thanks for making this such a good place.
Good variety of car items. Good deals on motor oil. Mechanics dont know what their doing. Rarely fix your car correctly the first time. Feel ripped off with inferior quality parts and installation.

Went to have my back brakes done because of squeaking noise. The manager Eli said he would do the front and clean the back. That didnt solve the problem. I go back to let him know what he did didnt work. He says drive around a few more days and if it didnt clear up he would redo my brakes. A week later I go and he said he would give me the credit for cleaning the back brakes but he had to order the parts. Said he would make a appointment for the next day. Go back the next day and was told by another mechanic no appointment was made and parts wasnt oeder. He told me he would order parts and the mechanic who was going to do the work told me he would call me the next with a price because I told them I wanted my credit. No call from the guy. I got tired of dealing with the entire crew till I didnt even go back to argue with them to give me my credit. Seven months later I am still driving with no back brakes because I want to go back just to get my credit but I feel I will be treated the same. I guess I will have to take the loss. I will never go there again but I would like to receive my money back. Thanks for nothing Eli at Cherry Hill Pepboys.

Went for oil change. Team at desk was attentive and professional. I didnt have to wait long at all on a Sunday afternoon. Price was alright, but their team helped me find a coupon my phone wasnt delivering on. Score!Bathroom was vile and it makes me rethink going back, but if you dont need to use it then I suppose everything else was fine.

Been having issues with my car and was told it might be my head gasket so we took the car to pep boys to have the head gasket tested. They had my car for 4 to 5 hours. When we picked up my car we spoke to 3 different mechanics and got a different story from each, and I was also told to just junk my car not worth putting money into it bc its a 2010. I dont care who you are you never tell a customer that. Well when my husband wrote a review after the experience just today someone contacted him and they told him it was something else that no one has ever mentioned as yes my car has many mechanics baffled. They requested he remove the one star review and offered me a free oil change to do so. One if I feel your service was horrible and your mechanics cant all get on the same page than Im not gonna trust my car to go there for an oil change. 2 all oil changes are done at the Subaru dealership 3 for the rudeness and demanding he remove his one star review a free oil change isnt going to make things better.
Zero stars if I could. They literally blew my engine. It was an old jeep cherokee with many miles and was burning a lot of oil. I realize it was not going to last much longer but it was running and I was planning on milking another 6 months out of it. I took it for an oil change and then decided to have them replace plugs and wires too. The mechanic put the wires back in the wrong sequence and then started it and red lined it over and over as it kept stalling. I heard it in the waiting room and went running out to tell him to stop. The manager told me he put them in the wrong sequence. It was spewing oil out under the hood. I left it overnight so they could try to fix it the next day. They said it was a blown engine and just a coincidence because it was old and their was nothing they could do.
They took me in on short notice, provided great care and fixed what was needed beginning to end within 20mins of arriving. Will definitely go back!
Rip offs. do not take your car there if you dont have too. Took my daughter car there for a battery, alternator. They tried to charge me $700. Took the car to my local mechanic $450.
ZERO stars! went there with a bolt in my tire. they called and said it is fixed and that I could pick up the car. I picked up the car and started driving and noticed the rear drivers side tire still making a thud noise. I looked at the tire and the bolt is still in the tire!! I looked at the rear passenger side wheel and by the wipe marks I could tell they took the wrong tire off the car, and that tire had no problems with it. it looked like they didnt even touch or look at the wheel with an obvious bolt sticking out of it. why would they say they fixed it and charge me when they didnt fix anything?? even if they dont wanna admit they took the wrong wheel off, why not at least call and say we found nothing wrong with that tire or at least use some common sense and when they found nothing wrong with that tire, maybe look at the other tires??? duh!!! wasted my whole day!
The worst customer service ever. Never mind about set an appointment with them, they dont really care about it, and will use all the excuses to reschedule your appointment. The management is rude. The wait time is long, and they treat you like trash. I have never seen the customer service that bad. Unbelievable. I thought Pep Boys is very large company, and they will treat you well, but totally disappointed by their services. The are not even worth a star.

New to the area needed brakes for my sons honda accord! These gentlemen worked fast and efficient;price was reasonable at $175 installed for front brake pads and rotors! They accomplished this withing 35 minutes! Will return!

I scheduled an appointment at the Cherry Location to have my wheels aligned. I was told that I may have to sit for three hours as they had several jobs ahead of me. I ended up not having to stay even two hours because one of the jobs ahead of me wasnt going to be picked up that day; the owner decided hed pick up his vehicle the next day. The service manager then slid my vehicle ahead of that one and I got out sooner than expected, which I really appreciated.
Walk in to the store 12/21/2016, two young men standing around talking( not a hello) I walked around the store for 10 mins, the only customer at the time. Neither of them saying anything. One customer walked in and waited at the service desk he had to go get them to help. I was walking out the young man looked me dead in the face and said absolutely nothing. I will never return to this store. An I will tell everyone about my experience.

Just walked into store with a car battery. Not another customer in the store. 3 employees standing at back counter and not one employee greeted me or asked me if i needed help. Placed battery on counter while they continued to converse. Tried to find the replacement battery as an employee came from the back still standing there with my battery and he did not acknowledge me. They continued to converse so after 10 mins. I walked to front of store and saw a 5th employee and asked if he was the manager. He said no. The manager is at the back counter. I returned to the back counter and picked up my used battery while the 3 employees kept talking and proceeded to leave the store. As i got to the exit, one of the employees from the back counter yelled across the store Honey did you need help

I received poor service here, but the inside is like any other pep boys auto parts store. I dont like posting bad reviews but this seemed necessary, here are the facts: I am a mechanic. I took my car there to have new tires installed and also purchased an alignment as I just replaced the lower control arm bushings and it was a required task that I did not have the tooling to perform adequately. When I received the car back, much later than quoted, the alignment was not performed and I later discovered two wheel center caps were missing. I called and complained and was rescheduled, took it in, they had it for 8 hours, I got it back and it was still the same. I confronted the manager on duty, he said it must be my car and that there was nothing he could do for me, I was angry, so I left and sent pep boys corporate an email. A few weeks later I had to do some work under the car, upon inspection of the nuts and bolts that adjust the alignment, they were never touched (years of dirt). Laziness is a poor excuse. Corporate Never returned my E-mail, I still am missing 2 center caps and the car still pulls to the right, just dont go there.
