If youre looking to get lumber this is a very fast and easy company to work with will highly recommend them to everybody!
Great team there.. Shop here before you go to the big box stores
I was in need of a 6x6 post for a porch railing that I am building. However, the big named stores are unable to cut a 4x4 or 6x6 piece of lumber on site. (the saws not big enough). I needed a 16ft long 6x6 post cut into five 3ft pieces in order for me to be able to fit them in my car.Jeff, at Evans Lumber Co, was very understanding about my situation & was willing to help me out. I really appreciate his willingness to help me with such a minimal order.
It is usually a pleasure getting supplies from Evans. They are fast reasonably priced and always professional.
Really nice and very helpful.
Good, local, builders supply company. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Better quality & cheaper prices than box stores.
Always the best service..even during a pandemic.
Easily the best, we’ll ran, organized, and polite lumber yard in Chattanooga. I never buy anywhere else (except 2xs on the weekend). They load for me and let me pick through the lumber and I’ve never gotten any attitude like I have at other local yards.Indoor great pricing on blades, screws, and bits. Plus you’re not making corporate pockets fatter. You’re supporting local families. Don’t know where I’d be without them👍🏻
Drew and John were fantastic at helping me get all my needs squared away. Highly recommend 👍
10x better than Home Depot. These guys have everything, and they load you up as well. Highly recommend.
By far the best selection of trim in chattanooga. If they dont have it, they will tomorrow. Class acts top to bottom. Talking to Bill in the warehouse is worth the trip! Hes super knowledgeable and will bend over backwards to help you out. They will cut all of your trim down to size if you dont have a rack or trailer without as much as a sigh. Prices are hard to beat as well. Just compare them to the big box stores and youll see what I mean. The price difference is over 50% better than the big box stores on most orders, and the quality of trim is far and away better. No worries about chips, cracks, or damage to the product, or theyll just replace it. And as far as any other commenters go, if you have left over material (or just the wrong material), of course you have to return it to get a refund. What do you think this is, a Holiday Inn? Thats pettiness from someone who thinks their time is more valuable than others. These guys will gladly accept returns without any flack. But its not their job to come out to the jobsite to pick up leftovers and give you your money back on the spot. Thats an unrealistic utopia that all Hillary/Bernie supporters demand.
Ive had good experiences working with these guys.
Ive had good experiences picking up materials, but Ive ordered JH trim twice, and the first time I was sent PlyCem instead. I had two guys on site at the time, so we just went with the flow.Yesterday, I sent the handyman I hired to pick up the trim (Friday). I saw the trim this morning (Saturday) just before we were going to install it. Not JH. Again. More PlyCem. Even after specifying JH in Artic White. Had to cancel the project for today. Well see if this will get sorted out. But not much point in featuring JH siding on the website if you dont sell it.UPDATE: After waiting 4.5 days for a refund and for the materials to get picked up, I was told Id have to bring it back to Evans. Since I specifically ordered JH trim, and in Arctic White (to match all the other trim, except what they had sent the first time), and didnt even receive JH primed...I figured for the loss of an entire day of work, the time necessary to return the materials, and the time I had to spend calling them to arrange for a refund AND calling around to find the trim I needed in stock, they would do the right thing and pick their materials up for all the inconvenience they put me through. Was told I need to return before getting the refund. Wont shop there again.
Good people, good prices
