First time customer. 2005 BMW 330Ci ZHP. A new total suspension refresh using genuine BMW parts were installed at an indy shop 2 years ago. The front strut on passenger side has been making a subtle tapping noise that a few mechanics were unable to diagnose and fix. I took a risk and contacted German Autohaus for a diagnostic after several people mentioned their reputation for competency. They found the issue and took care of it.Also had the valve cover and gasket replaced at the same time with genuine BMW parts. All services were performed and both the Service and Parts departments were professional and helpful. I would use them again.
Very courteous and polite, affordable and accurate diagnosis with professional work!
Great company made me feel more educated when I left after getting my car tuned for the first time. I would highly recommend these great guys for any auto repair issues. Great clean place and getting ready to move to a bigger location. Very happy with their service and shop.
Horrible service, I took my 2006 C55 AMG there to get a second opinion b/c a previous shop failed to do the work properlyThey call me and explain that my valve cover gaskets were leaking, I had a gas smell coming from my charcoal canister, and my transmission pan gasket was leakingSo I approved the work order, I get my car back and 250 miles later I started it up to head to a meeting and I noticed it told me it was two quarts low on oil, They failed to put the correct amount of the oil in my car!!! So I drove back to the shop and they corrected that issue.I drive the car back home, 5 minutes away from my house it goes into limp mode. I limp it back to my house and I call a tow truck to come Get it and take it back to German Autohaus to figure out whats going on,The driver starts it up and a lot of white smoke pours out of the exhaust. It never did that until now.I get a call from German Autohaus stating that I was Trying to get free work out of their shopI spent 3,300 dollars and they messed up my car. I highly recommend to stay far away from this shop
After moving from out of state, I thought there is no way I could find a repair shop like what i had for my BMW, Mini Coo[per and Mercedes SUV. I walked through the door and was met with such professionalism, knowledge of service/repair time, cleanliness and kindness. After having the service, I know these people are people of integrity and that means absolutely everything to me! You find that so rarely in this world, so when you do find it you hang on to it. German Autohaus will definitely be my go to place from here on out!
Excellent staff and service! Honest and hard working folks.
Finally a home for service for my Volvo! After having a horrible experience at the local dealer, and another foreign repair shop on Lee Hwy, I am thrilled to find a place that actually appreciates my business!
Great professional service. They performed a transmission service on my BMW. My transmission pan had serious damage underneath from a previous owner. They found the part and made the repairs promptly. No worries, no stress for me. I recommend.
Knowledgeable staff and reasonable prices. Best VW mechanic I’ve found in Chattanooga.
I wish they were a little closer to where I work/live, because Id use them for routine maintenance. As it turns out, I use them when my regular guy cant handle the job. I really like German Autohaus! Theyre honest, efficient and very customer service oriented. I drive a VW Eos. The engine is compact and nothing is easy to get to. I love my car, but when something breaks, it tends to be a big job and costly. Ive found that GA can handle it and Ive even had a bill lower than the quote because it didnt take as long as they thought. That shows me theyre honest, and itll keep me going back. I rarely give recommendations, but I would definitely recommend German Autohaus!
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, from the front desk to the back of the shop . I felt kept in the loop and informed . German Autohaus has handled minor to major mechanical issues with the same respect and care . I will return to the shop in the future because piece of mind is priceless .
I have nothing but love for these guys at German Autohaus. They made sure the work they did on my Mercedes Benz was done right. The staff treat you with courtesy and respect along with great customer service. I can trust German AutoHaus with my car and so can you.
They told me the truth about the cost of repairs because I ask for best guess of price. I like honesty this the place for truth.
Been having issues with my F30, 328i (N26). These great folks identified the issue for my rough idle and from the time I dropped it off for a diagnostic, had the parts in and replaced less than two days later. They also let me know about a leak with one of my fuel injectors, which seems to be the only issue remaining after new spark plugs, ignition coils, and an entire new door lock assembly install. The shop did not overcharge at all. Great price and really nice people inside the shop, Fallon is also super nice to deal with and professional. I will be returning to German Autohaus for my repairs on my BMW and have recommended to friends!
These guys are fantastic. Initially, I looked at doing my own oil changes by purchasing the proper german synthetic oil + filter online. After calculating the cost of oil + filter + shipping, it would cost me the same to have it done professionally at German Autohaus. These guys did a great job. I showed up right as the business opened for my appointment and I was out the door in 30 minutes.2 years prior to this, I had them replace the stock clutch in my car with an uprated clutch to compensate for additional HP and TQ a tune added to my car and the clutch has been trouble free! I would highly recommend German Autohaus to anyone who owns a German vehicle but doesnt want to get raked over the coals by Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche dealers and their outrageous prices. These guys work on German cars not because its a job, but because they are enthusiasts and truly love performance cars! Support your local small business and patronize German Autohaus!
Friendly and very informative. These guys know their stuff
They charge you money for work that they do not do, and then they get mad at you for being mad at them for not delivering said work. Its laughable at best. Give them your hard earned money at your own risk.
Ausgezeichnet!!! Best place to get a car serviced.
Fantastic Experience! We had our oil changed at this location. Service was pleasant, friendly & helpful. My husband is a frontline worker and they took extra special care of us in a difficult time. It was much appreciated & awesome to watch how an individual company can give so much back to the local community. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!!!
Great work and very friendly staff.
Honest, fair, knowledgeable, and great customer service. What more could you ask for? These folks treat you like family. This is the only place I will take my vehicles from now on. They have a very comfortable waiting room, and their time estimate was spot on. They are absolutely a business you can trust! Thank you for the great service!
I had my FRM reprogrammed due to error on my 2017 BMW 640i. The team was very friendly and discussed at length any questions that I had. Took time out of their day to help. I would do business with them again. Thanks for everything.
Best place in town to get a german vehicle fixed! Also the staff is amazing!
Brought in my BMW a while back and after a diagnosis they informed me it was the DME/ECU at fault. The person that diagnosed my vehicle advised me to buy a new or used part and have it synced and reprogrammed to my car.Long story short: bought the suggested part, reprogrammed it successfully via 3rd party with electronic confirmation. Car still wont start. Sent in the original ECU and nothing was wrong with it to begin with.$200 to German Autohaus.$200+ for a new part (that they suggested)$150 for reprogramming/syncStill no running car, and no response from these experts.Back to square 1.EDIT to response:-The vehicle was never in a collision, this is a completely false claim.-I never refused to pickup the vehicle. I was advised it would be charged a storage fee which I had no issue paying for.Car is back running, never a DME issue. Dont waste your time here.
These guys are very knowledgeable and incredibly professional. They are all helpful, willing to answer questions and truly honest about what needs to be done to your car. They are all definitely experts in thier field. If you want the best possible care for your car, from oil change to performance tuning; this is the place!
Such a great place for your German Toy! Being on the road it is not that easy to find a good shop. These guys were able to service my car without any delays, fast solution finders, great customer service, recommend! Definitely this shop goes to my favorite list!
They have my VW now. It will be like a new one when I get it back.
Professional staff and reasonable pricing.
Brett and Greg are honest people who do an amazing job! I’ve had my oil changed, a wheel bearing replaced, and my transmission serviced here. Each experience has been stress free without any complaints. Highly recommend!
German Autohaus is a great place to have your European automobile serviced. I usually do all my own work on my BMW, but when I dont this is the place I will go to.Its a very clean shop, friendly staff and very knowledgable and experienced technicians. They will service and fix your car right and they will explain every step they take so you can understand whats wrong with your car and what it needs.Prices are very reasonable and they do their best to keep costs down and work with your budget.
Just started with these folks, and am very impressed. Quick, clean and reliable. Diagnosed problem then gave me options and suggestions--now we are back to running like a charm. Look forward to working with them more!
I recently purchased a used VW GTI. I took it to German Autohaus to have them inspect it and service it. I cannot recommend them enough. Falon kept me up to date as to what was wrong with the car and what needed to be repaired on it. They had the repairs done quickly and it is running much better now. Great group of people!
Always take good care of my classic Mercedes Benz
Great customer service. Timely work. Well done. Highly recommend. We will not take our Mini Cooper any where else in Chattanooga. They now have a loyal customer. Thank you guys!
Chattanoogas German repair specialists. You cant go wrong with these guys. Honest well educated people. Dont get ripped off, hit the haus first! Thanks guys.
There is a reason they are rated a 4.9 out of 5! They got us back on the road again in less than 48 hours and even have a military discount :)!
If you have German car that needs work... there is no better place to take it! The guys at German Autohaus are honest, fast, and affordable I have used them multiple times in the past. They just finished up some insurance work and they handled it 110% better than the dealership was. They dont mess around... they just get the job done every time. Dont let the dealership rob you, especially if your car is out of warranty. You will not regret taking your car here.
Amazing people!
This shop is awesome! hands down! Went in for an APR down pipe install a stage 2 southbend clutch and an APR Stage 2 Tune. Brent was hands down one of the coolest and most hands on owners of a shop Ive ever met. He took the time to show me the options and explain to me the break in process and how to get the most out of my over $4k investment/work! 10/10 would recommend! I even have a second appointment with them to get the oil changed this week! Probably wont return back to VW for any work after coming here.
Excellent customer service! Very skilled mechanics. Affordable/reasonable prices, parts, and labor (1/3 of the cost of having my car repaired at the Mercedes dealership). Quick diagnosis of repairs needed and quick turnaround time for getting my car out of the shop. Great experience overall. Will definitely (and happily) return to German Autohaus for future vehicle repairs/maintenance.
I have good experiences in other places, but at German Autohaus, the BEST!Great Customer service from the phone call to walk-in the shop. My BMW 5 Series had a Laundry list of issues that had a huge estimate from the dealership. Greg and Brett gave me a fair quote and worked on the car the same day!! Thanks guys!
Just wanna give a shout out to the guys at German Auto Haus for letting a fellow enthusiast use the shop for a personal project and storage of said project until it was complete. Brett is the man and has become a good friend of mine and I cant thank him enough personally. Also, would like to give a huge shout out to my man Dominic for the knowledge and helping with my trans swap. I may or may not have been able to do this without him, but lord knows he sped the process up. Superb guys with the knowledge to back it up.Thanks again, TJ.
After a less than desirable experience at Village VW of Chattanooga I found German Autohaus to fix an issue with electrics of the front seat on my 2016 Tiguan. Brett was very friendly and actually listened to me when I was describing the problem with my seat. I was able to bring it in the next day and it was fixed within a few hours. Thank you to the knowledgeable and courteous staff at German Autohaus, my new “go-to” VW mechanics!
I took my 2011 Golf to German Autohaus for some repairs and couldnt be happier. The staff is incredibly helpful, theyre honest, and the prices arent bordering on extortion like the dealerships. I certainly wont be taking my VW anywhere else.-c
My car has been to them twice and I have been very satisfied. It is hard to find a shop that provides good service at a fair price, but these guys do. I highly recommend these guys. I trust them to do whats right.
My experience with German Autohaus was great! They have me a great price for fixing issues with my car and were very courteous. I didnt feel like I was being taken advantage of at all. I defiantly recommend them to anyone looking to have their vehicle serviced!
Wonderful customer service! Super friendly, professional, and personable. I felt very comfortable taking my BMW and Mercedes here to be worked on. These guys are well educated on European car repairs. ill definitely be back for any future issues!
Ive had a terrific experience each time Ive needed my Audi worked on! Great service! Qualified technicians! Best price! I have a foreign auto repair shop closer to me but these guys get me in, get it fixed and take the time to explain what they did! Keep up the good work!
First try with German Autohaus and all turned out good. Had some suspension and brake work done to my complete satisfaction. Added bonus; they actually called me a few days later to make sure everything was okay. That isnt something that happens much anymore. I plan on having them do more work in the future.
The only negative thing I have to say is that I was charged $200 more than I was quoted with no warning, after being told it would likely be less than what I was quoted. Not a huge deal but definitely didnt make my day! The work done on my car seems just fine and everyone I spoke to was polite and knowledgeable. I chose this shop because I wanted my car in safe hands and that is what I got! Shame about the price!
Excellent service. In-depth explication of the issue and resolution. They were willing to review options for repair and give us suggestions for future issues. Will definitely use them again!
Ive had the necessity to take my BMW 328i here twice. Both experiences were positive. They are knowledgeable and professional. I especially like the way Im treated as a professional female who has in the past seen auto repair businesses attempt to take advantage of me. I will be back when their services are needed again
I have taken my vehicle to these guys twice and both times had a great experience. Very knowledgeable, honest group with great pricing. I highly recommend these guys. I will definitely be back again as needed.
I am super grateful that a friend referred us to German Autohas! After having continuous issues with the dealerships service center this experience was a welcomed change. Amazing service and fair pricing all delivered in a timely manner. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I had such a great experience taking my vehicle here. I brought my sprinter van in without any notice a few hours before they had to close. Within three hours they ordered me a part, and fixed my van. The people working there were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The service was gold and I definitely recommend this place.
Its hard to find a great German auto shop. Lots of shops work on German cars, but they dont really understand the specifics requiements for proper maintenance and repair. Brett and his team have done fantastic work for me on more than one occasion, both in routine maintenance and performance modifications. If you need work done on your vehicle, take it to them and sleep well knowing your baby is in good hands. A+
I would recommend Brett and Greg to anyone and everyone. Extremely knowledgeable and fair priced. I had my e90 M3 in for some Dinan upgrades and very pleased with the results. Highly recommended!
I was very happy to hear about German Autohaus after a less than stellar experience at another repair shop. Since I own a Mini Cooper, it is not always easy to find someone to work on my car. The folks at German Autohaus proved, not only to be exceptionally friendly and helpful, but to really know their stuff. The pricing was also much better than I had found elsewhere. I went with their long-lasting oil, and my plans are to see them again in 10,000 miles.
These are great!!! They KNOW what they are doing!!! They saved me a lot of money!! Because they are very thorough when looking for the problem. Thanks a million Autohaus for your help.
Their workmanship and customer service are excellent and prices are way better than going to the dealership. Theyre very knowledgeable, honest, easy to talk to and will explain your options for whatever you are trying to achieve with your vehicle. Ive had my Mk VI GTI in for both performance upgrades and routine service and I wont go anywhere else.
Performed a major repair on my Porsche very quickly for almost half of the dealers quote. Also took my mother to a nice seafood dinner. 5 stars these guys couldn’t be better thanks Greg
EXECELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE - Greg and Brett are the most helpful guys in the business. They saved me hundreds of dollars on a repair that was not covered under my warranty. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. I will take my BMW to them from now on. Its very hard to find honest guys to work on your car these days. Thanks guys!!!
Chattanooga has needed a German car repair shop like this for a long time. I took my BMW to a local place to get a battery. Sounds simple but after the new one was installed the dash lights would not work. They checked the fuses with no luck and said they could not help. I found this shop and they said it needed a dash cluster now since the old one was shorted out now. The shop had one they used to test other cars and let me buy it for 50 bucks. They installed it and all worked but the brake lights stayed on all the time. They took it back in and thank God they have spent the money to have the computer to connect to BMW and reprogram cars just like the dealership. They found a fuse had been removed by the last tech and not installed again. The replaced it and the car was fixed. I watched them do all this so I know its a fact. Bottom line is if you go to other German car shops they meet you at the door in a mask, with a gun and take your wallet. They are the only shop I will be using from now on when I need work done on my BMW.
German Autohaus replaced the water pump on my VW CC. The following day my car began misfiring, followed by a flashing engine light.I returned my car and Greg inspected my car and felt the issue was their fault. Some particles had gotten into the fuel injector and he cleaned it, but stated he would like to replace it free of charge. Thank you Greg for your kindness and honesty. German Autohaus will definitely be my new repair/service center moving forward.
I have a love affair with my 2002 Volvo Cross Country. I am very particular about who works on her. Brett and Greg know these cars very well. They have excellent customer service and take pride in the work they perform. I highly recommend that anyone that has a love affair with their European car, only use German Autohaus for service and maintenance !
Very fast service, helpful people, and they fixed my car for almost as much as the dealer would have charged just to look at the car.
I was very pleased overall. They took care of my daughters Beetle in a timely manner and a fair price. Will definitely be using them in the future.
My MK6 GTI needed work so I called German Autohaus to see if they would be a better alternative to the dealership. Not only were their prices fair and reasonable, but they do great work and they do it in great time. These guys are extremely knowledgeable, informative, and most importantly care about what they do.I always feel good about bringing my ride here because I know when Greg gets his hands on it he’s treating my car as if it were his, taking care of the job at hand while also bringing other things to my attention that I may want to do in the future. Dealerships will charge you more and take longer to get it done with a fraction of the care and passion that these guys have!!!
Knowledgeable. Very Fair priced. Answered every question I had and were very open during my service.Ill be a regular customer as long as I have this German car.
Great service, fair prices. The guys there are friendly and even stayed late for us to drop off our A6 for service and even delivered it to our house after they finished the next day. I work in the automotive business and would recommend these guys to anyone.
Very honest, dependable and reasonable prices.
I took my Audi to German Autohaus to check on getting a door issue fixed. The gentleman at the shop said he would take a look at it but was not sure he could repair it today. That was ok as I assumed a part might have to be ordered. Not only did he look at the issue, he repaired it on the spot. The charge was indeed fair and I was relieved to not have to bring it back. I will be bringing my auto to German Autohaus from now on.
You wont find a better shop in town! Excellent service, honest and knowledgeable staff, and very fair prices. Highly recommended!
I brought in my mini cooper for somewhat normal repair one day, but they ended up keeping it for two weeks due to some major car problems. Long story short, my car is running the best it has in years. Thank you so much, guys!
These guys went above what most places would do for customer service. I had just a simple issue with my Jetta, but didnt have a way to chase it myself and was tight on money. They helped me out tremendously and I recommend these guys for all Euro needs. =] Very knowledgeable and willing to work with you!
I have taken two different VW cars to the Autohaus. They are always super helpful, attempting to trouble shoot a problem before having to leave the car for repairs. They are quick and accurate with quotes. When one of the cars was going to be more to repair than it was worth they were upfront about that as well, didnt even charge me for the inspection. .
Simply put, a couple of great guys that love what they do. Very knowledgeable and will go out of their way to provide you with the best experience possible. Honest work and some of the fairest prices on the market! Ive referred multiple friends and family to this place and this will be my go to shop for years to come!
If you need work on your German car, German Autohaus is the definitely the place to go, they are honest and great at what they do. The service I received when I brought my vehicle there was prompt and accurate. This place is definitely going to be my go to place that I know I will be able to trust their opinions.
Without a doubt the finest and most knowledgeable mechanics I have experienced with any of my vehicles. They went above and beyond as far as customer service is concerned. They came through for me in an emergency, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
Needed a pre-sale inspection done on an Audi Q5. The Autohaus was able to get me in immediately (even though I was late) and get me taken care of. I was in and out on just over an hour and the wealth of knowledge I gained from the visit is immeasurable. The guys know their stuff and gave me tips that any other shop probably wouldnt do. They are enthusiasts and obviously take pride in what they do/know. They will for sure be at the top my list of service for our new Audi Q5.
These guys know how to repair exotic cars. I had a 930 Porsche that no one, including the dealer could resolve but German Autohaus figured it out and it ran like the old daysNow I have a classic Jaguar XK8 and it needed serious repair so there was no question where I would take it and like the 930 its running like new
An amazing car repair shop. Always does what is best for the customer. I use tbe place for my personal vehicles as well as the company fleet I have. They have always been fair with me and I will continue to use them in the future for all my car care needs.
This is an outstanding German auto repair company. These guys are extremely knowledgeable, honest and customer service driven. As a female seeking auto repair I have been taken advantage of in the past but no more I will be taking my BMW to these guys from now on. Keep up the good work! MS
Communication from the mechanics is very poor. My car was in the shop three day before they even looked at it.2 Months after I paid good money to have them fix my car I had to take it to another shop to have them fix the problem right AND fix the problems caused by The German Autohaus. I went to talk with one of the oweners who didnt offer at all to fix the problem or make it right. Of course he was willing to fix the problem I originally paid for but by then other damage was done.A $200 job turn into $2800 in damage caused by these guys doing the worst possible job !!!! They did NOT do the job I paid them for correctly and they DID NOT make the situation right. The owner just talked to me like I was an idiot. At this point I am seeking legal action.I suggest anyone who cares about their money or their car... Take it to someone else! These guys will screw you over and then act like its your fault!I would give them ZERO stars if I could!
The. Best. European. Repair. Shop. In. Chattanooga! After getting screwed around by the other European shops in the area I started looking into replacing things myself or last resort sell my BMW. I over-heard these guys at German Autohaus getting praised on a popular BMW/VW forum. I did some research and found some really cool articles and write-ups in newspapers. SO GLAD I found these guys. Dropped my car off to have O2 sensor and brake pads replaced. Prices beat everybody else and the customer service was over the top! These guys definitely know German Engineering AND how to take care of customers. I ended up having them replace my rotors and do a full tune up as well. After talking with Brett and Greg its not hard to see their passion for the business and taking care of people.
Where do I begin? I had them install a downpipe on my GTI and I brought it to them last minute and these guys delivered the best service I have ever had! They stayed past their hours to help me out. Words can’t express how truly grateful and happy I am that they were able to help me out. I’d give them 10 stars if I could! Highly recommend!
Friendly, honest & knowledge staff! Fair prices & fast turnaround! They have helped keep my BMW going to almost 400,000 miles now!!! Best in the business!!!
These guys did some major work on my BMW that stumped another shop in town. The car runs better than the day I bought it. I gave them the go ahead for some suspension work which made a world of difference. I priced it out compared to what the dealer wanted and I saved some serious money and even got my car back earlier than promised. I would definitely do business again and am bringing my 993 back to them later this year.
Only people I trust to touch my car.... Fantastic folks!Great service, fantastic prices. They go above and beyond!
I took in a used VW for a pre-purchase inspection before buying from the dealer. The inspection was very reasonably priced, quick, and very thorough. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful when it came to understanding the potential issues I could face with the purchase of the vehicle. Needless to say, this is where I will be taking the car for all future service.
I was here recently with my Jetta. These guys are great. They helped me have a full understanding of what was happening with my car and why. Everyone was so professional and respectful. The mechanics talked to me at length and the owner actually turned my car around for me. The price was lower than anyone else and they only use authentic parts. I will never go anywhere else. I recommend this place to anyone!
Great service and knowledgeable staff. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast the work was completed. Will definitely be returning when I need more work done.
Bought my first Audi (Q5) in Atlanta, drive it back and low oil light came on. I stopped in and they topped it off (no charge) and educated me on the oil consumption problems the 2.0 has in my year. Thanks to the info the problem is being fixed. The crew at German Autohaus was very respectful as well as helpful. They have earned a customer for life with me. It’s awesome to find someone that cares about the customer and the car more than the mighty dollar. Thanks guys...
Everyone was very professional, helpful and the crew is extremely knowledgeable. 100% confident in their work.
Fast, affordable, and easy to do business with. They had my car running great in 2 days. I’ll be using them again.
Brett has been great. Theyve replaced tires, a water pump and heater core on my car with no problems at all. They even gave me a ride back to my house since I live very close. Ill go back again.
These guys are great! I have a 2006 Porsche Cayenne with a bad blower motor. Must be a common problem because they had the part in stock and completed the work within hours. They took time to look over the car and make recommendations. They gained a permanent customer
They got my Subaru fixed at a fair price and it was nice that they have a deal with the towing company. They even called after to make sure everything was working the way it should. I would go back again.
Hands down german autohaus are the best in the area!!!!! great work and A++++++++ customer service! they are the only ones who will touch my car period.....F10 m5 🚀💨
Best mechanics I’ve ever used! They are fair, honest, and Military Veteran owned. I would never take my Mini anywhere else!!!
