This place is lovely to hang out at nights, have a drink or eat something, an ice cream, watch the lake, take a walk and also if you are lucky you will catch the car light show.

This is place is full of life. You park and basically find what is you like. We went just to take in the sights of the paddle boats and fountains. Finished our visit with a stop at the frozen yogurt place. Which was really nice ending to a weekend.Right in the Plaza is a bridge to stand and watch the paddle boats. From the bridge you can see Boardwalk Billy Raw Bar and Ribs. Going into the parking lot you pass a McDonalds. Also there is the Hilton Hotel if your looking for a spot to stay.Honestly we agreed it would be a cute first date spot or even just a girls/guys night out. It really had a friendly atmosphere to it.**sorry no pics. I was enjoying my first visit to the Plaza and forgot to take pics**

If you arent from Charlotte the boardwalk is a great place to relax, eat, and feed the ducks over looking calm sights. My last trip, I noticed some reconstruction of the pond and playground area. Due to this half of the pond and playground has gates and no access.

I love this place. I visit it every time I am in Charlotte. It reminds me of a boardwalk. Try ANYTHING at Ninetys Sandwiches and ice cream shop! So great!

Very nice place to hang around with friends! You will find beautiful small pond with boats! You can ride the boats with assistance! You will find a little water fountain on the pond and a easy walking trail surrounded by the pond. You will also find different restaurant, ice cream parlor, boutique house, Michels, home Depot nearby. This place is very close to university of north Carolina at Charlotte and rail lite station. Highly recommended place to bring your family and kids!

Boardwalk Billys big dog. Boardwalk Billys is a pretty decent place to sit and grab a snack buy the water watching sports and kick it with your friends. As a person who lives here and has been to Boardwalk Billys 6477 times, its very normal to me and does not bring any excitement. But if youre an out-of-towner Boardwalk Billys would be a pretty decent place we to visit as well as good a little while youre there. And hey maybe write some pedal boats.

Boardwalk Billys, the view of the lake was relaxing for enjoying a meal. Our server was professional and polite. The food, the food was fantastic. The presentation was simple and inviting. Paddle boating is our next adventure.

This is a nice place to take a stroll. Its under construction however still a good experience on a beautiful windy day.

The food was good, the atmosphere was lit, which caters more to the younger crowd. The food was reasonable for what I paid for. The restrooms were nice and clean. The waitress and other workers were very nice and attentive to our needs

My first time ordering from City Barbeque I ordered ribs greens Mac n cheese baked beans and cornbread I get all the way home and my cornbread wasnt in the bag I was upset because I wanted the cornbread with my greens and besides that it looked good on the menu, however I called the restaurant let them know what had occurred a young lady apologized asked me if I was coming back, I said NO, tho Im only 7 minutes away I had gotten comfortable at home, she then goes on to offer several things one being a gift card, I accepted she took my phone number and address and apologized again, I told her mistakes do happen, well, I looked in my mailbox a few days later and my gift card was in there, I didnt know it would be that soon, but I most definitely would be back, not just because the food is great 👍 but because I love the way they treat there customers great job City Barbeque

Used to be a nicely laid out parking lot and easy access to stores. Great restaurants, lovely lake which I could not even find with my gps and prior knowledge of the area. The busiest spot was McDonalds which had two lanes to order and a disorganized way of merging them into one lane for payment and pick up. Took greater than 40 mins to get order from time I got on the line. Several, small and large, businesses were closed, vacant and a difficult exit. Many construction (I think) rails blocking thoroughfares with no signage warnings. Add to all of this a ton of college students or younger drivers speeding throughout. What a nightmare. Btw Dunkin donuts closed at 5😭☹️☹️😿😢

I like walking the trail in the middle of this area. Nice quaint spot to do some shopping and eating. Looking forward to eating in some of the variety of places there.

Parking was ok there were got seated very fast the beers were cold and food came out faster than I expected our server was very helpful I was truly impressed and it was a Friday night

We stopped by for lunch. The oysters were over battered for my taste. I left half the oyster basket on the table. The waitress did a good job, I do want to emphasize. The food wasnt her fault. Its just not very good food, IMO.

Nothing like the smoothies here!!!!!! Beats any other smoothie shoppe! They always are accommodating to their customers- always fast, efficient and friendly. The employees are knowledgeable ab the menu and helped me when I had some questions about some menu items.Can’t beat the Sunrise Sunset Smoothie or the Blimey Limey Smootbie! I also love their breakfast Banana Pita with honey Nutella bananas and granola! If you haven’t tried, YOUVE GOTTA! And it’s always available, not only at breakfast!

Billy Board Walk is a fun place for all... Children have the freedom to enjoy their favorite Ice Cream and play around and feed the ducks. Very nice for first date and so much more.

Shoppes at University has so many great restaurants and fun places to shop! Famous Toastery is a great place for breakfast and Boardwalk Billys is perfect for lunch and dinner. Theres a manmade lake with paddle boats to ride as well. Oh and Ninetys Ice Cream is the best ice cream parlor in the city!

Small shopping place with lots of things to do around.Lots of good restuarants too. Perfect place for relaxing with a pond where u can do paddle boating.

I was actually near, but I its a wonderful place.

The shopping outlet is very nice. Nice mixture of clothes shops and restaurants. Parking seems like a challange if you come late in the afternoon but once you get past that you can walk. Theres a walk/running trail that raps around the water. Theres a playground for children and the paddle boats. It was in the 90s, so a hat and some bottled water is highly recommened if you come late in the afternoon. Especially if you paddle boat.

Weekend parking can be pretty pack especially on days there are live music. We really enjoy walking around there. For 25cents you can always feed the ducks, geese and turtles or just enjoy the scenery. In addition, there are paddleboats. Bring cash if you want to ride it. The other night there was a couple that came around selling balloons with lights and light up wands. If you are there to walk around the lake keep in mind half of the walk way is closed right now. I notice the bridges had a fence up to block people from crossing. I wished there was additional handicap parking. Majority of the time the spaces are filled up and so it makes it inconvenient for me when I need the extra space to get my daughter out of the car. I have found a few people who didnt have a handicap placard park there or a few that were just waiting on someone. Please if you dont need the handicap parking spot, dont park there. There are several places to eat at like Crafty Crab, Famous Toastey, Boardwalk Billys, Fruiticup Yogurt, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Ninetys Sandwich, City Barbeque, Zappatas Mexican Restaurant, Five Guys, Blaze Fast Fired Pizza, etc.. Besides the restaurants theres the wine vault/ beer garden, shopping stores, nail salon, hair salons and several other places. Its worth checking out.

Nice place to bring your family to the boardwalk...there is a nice pond where you can paddle boat....lots of ducks in the pond and kids love feeding them...

This is a budding shopping center that was just getting into a groove before Covid. Still a nice place to go and hopefully they rebound.

There is a beautiful view then a lot of options for shopping, dining and services.

Lots of great restaurants and stores to choose from. I recommend trying Blaze pizza if youve never been, and City BBQ is pretty good as well. The shopping area is directly across the street from Boardwalk Billys North Charlotte location, and if you are looking for something good to eat then definitely check out everything in this shopping center as well as the other stores directly around this location.

First time customer. My husband had a taste for ribs (on the bone), we Googled nearest rib and discover this wonderful restaurant. Food was very good, he got ribs and I got brisket/rib combo. Everything was cooked to perfection. We are now future customers.🍽

I like shopping at Sams clubs and usually go to Matthews or the one in kannapolis we dont have a Sams club in our area in Albemarle so I have to travel to get odd and in stuff!

Yes we discovered that they had moved the Ross store and I think they are still putting items in there that is the land where I was born it is so unbelievable that 62 years ago that land will all those stores I located is my birthplace it was nothing but Bob wire fence cows and corn for miles across the street where the university hospital is was a nursing home call Green Acres that is the original name Green Acres every time my family and I ride through there we only can remember what it look like in the color purple

Omg! This place have some of the best food! Tuesdays I believe there is a 10% disciunt. Im not sure if they are allowing inside dining but the restaurant is very nice and clean inside. The employees are very helpful and friendly! A lil southern ambience. We normally get the platter where you get a variety of items! My favorite is the brisket, mac and cheese and coleslaw! Whew chile! Delicious!

The oysters I got for the price was awful my party was 4 people and we paid over 299.OO FOR FOOD AND DRINKS needless to say we were only impressed by the drinks the oysters were the size of a penny I kid you not I dont eat out a lot but I guess this will be the last oh yes the star was for the drinks sorry for nothing the hillbilly party on the menu is not what its worth no thank not again

Sunday evening

This review is for City Barbeque. I had the Pork Barbeque and Collared Green. Both were excellent. The Barbeque had a good bit of burnt ends and very tasty. The Collared Green were prepared perfectly. I am looking forward to another visit. My wife had the same except for Coleslaw which was full of sugar making them impossible to eat.

Had Fun at Boardwalk and also got the kids some ice cream while out there.

Great crab and cant wait to go back soon!

There are lots of wildlife in the artificial lake. Turtles gather around the fountains to stay cool when on land.
