Somali restaurant tucked away in the corner of a ancient strip mall. It can be easy to miss because there are so many great restaurants in the span of a block. Menu is limited but beef suqur comes in a generous portion; if youre lucky they may have goat that day.

I read the reviews before eating here and omg.. It definitely was not a lie! The food Is so delicious, I will be going back.

Never tried the food to rate. I have driven from Greensboro several times just to try the place out but every time I came, they were closed. I have attempted to also call them multiple times prior to making the 1.5 hour drive but they NEVER pick up the phone. Why have a business phone and not actually use it? PLEASE do not follow the closing time as it’s never accurate. They close whenever they feel like it. I have been to the restaurant as early as 5pm and they said they were closed as the owner and other people were sipping chai and chatting amongst themselves. I came to the restaurant once at 2:30pm and I was told only thing they had was the rice with chicken left and that everything else was sold out. How can you be sold out when you just opened. Anyways, I shall never again attempt a disappointing journey to Jamie’s. Only reason I am giving a three star rating is because I want them to succeed Insha’Allah.

I love it. The best food ever and its definitely authentic African food. Keep up the great work Jamile. I was served by Jamile herself and shes a wonderful and humble person. If you read this Jamile I will forever tell everyone this is my favorite restaurant. 🙂

The owners are very friendly. The menu is limited buuut the food is delish - definitely not cookie cutter. If you like trying different foods this is the place! Love it!

I been there multiple times and the owners are very kind and friendly I even bought home decorating materials and they are gorgeous.

Jamilahs Somali food is heaven!!!! I go whenever Im in Charlotte now and crave it when I leave back for Greenville SC. I wish there was an African restaurant where I live

If you are going for atmosphere you will be disappointed, if you are going for good tasting food at a great price you will be happy.

I have been there twice in the last couple of months when they are suppose to be open but tbey have been closed. Never know when they are going to be open. The website says 12 noon. But that appears to be incorrect. So I end up going elsewhere.

Jamile is a queen the food is like a piece of heaven i love it.
