My first time selling/pawning anything. Service was quick and efficient. Process was clearly explained. I was distraught due to the point that the owner, Michael, pulled me aside to make sure I was safe and not doing this because of pressure from someone who could harm me. He let me have a private space to work with his representative and walked me to my car. My husband is going with me next week to retrieve my item and personally thank Michael for looking out for me when he could not be with me.

From start to finish a bad experience. Told us we weren’t able to purchase a gun despite me having my purchase permit and everything being good on my end because My husband & I both were looking at the pistol. Which makes no sense because why wouldn’t my husband look over a gun in purchasing from a PAWN SHOP to make sure everything is in order for his wife to use.. Using the term “Yeah.. No” when dealing with a paying customer isn’t very professional either.

OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE, PERSONABLE AND KNOWLEGABLE STAFF. At first I was skeptical about going to a pawn shop. I had a very high priced diamond ring I was looking to sell ($40K+). I had visited several reputable jewelry stores over the past year receiving quotes which I was not satisfied with. I had read some reviews from others about auctioning their diamonds but being dissatisfied with the amount they received and having received higher quotes from their local pawn shop, so I said what the heck.South Charlotte Jewelry and Loan was the first pawn shop I visited ever. I was greeted by two gentlemen with smiles and great conversation. After they reviewed my diamond ring, he immediately placed a call to the owner Mike. He told me that the ring is not something they would be able to sell at their location however, the owner may be able to assist me. This was a Saturday. I spoke to Mike (owner) and he told me he believed he would be able to assist me. I could go on and on about how he went above and beyond to assist me with the sale of my precious ring and it all would be true. The bottom line is that by Sunday, he had a buyer for me and the price was more than I had been offered by any other jewelry store. What I liked most is he was not in this to make a buck, he was genuinely trying to help me sell my ring and get the most money for it. He even offered to give me the information of the buyer to cut out the middle man (him). He also offered to continue to search for other buyers. He was honest and shared the process step by step. He also offered to verify funds for me at his bank, go with me to the bank to make the deposit; he wanted me to feel comfortable with the process. This is a place of integrity and a place that provides exemplary customer service going above and beyond for their customers.Thank you so much Mike and Team for your efforts in getting my ring sold! Its a small shop but it offers a decent variety. Very strong customer service for a pawn shop, including guarantees/warranty on what they sell which is nice. I didnt find what I was looking for, but it was worth the visit anyways.Note that the front door is often locked even in business hours, you may need to ring the bell for service.

Outstanding, the only place of its type I go. Great selections. Bought everything from high-end TV to low end miter saws. Everything works great. The game box bought from our son was perfect. Everything like new, in a box, everything worked at half the cost of retail. He loved it. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They are up front with their appraisal of quality on items and will tell you honestly if they think you should wait to see if they can find something better for you or if the item is the right fit for what you need.

THE BEST PAWN SHOP HANDS DOWN!!!!!I couldnt afford to pay my loan in the 30 day time frame. Thankfully they offer payment extensions which gives you more flexibility for a small fee if needed. If i had went to any other pawnshop, i would have easily lost my gun in 30 days !! Not to mention their super friendly and funny!! Thank you guys !!

Mike and his staff are absolutely amazing! They helped me during a tough time and were so kind and very helpful. Just to let you know how wonderful and honest they are, heres an example: I made a payment and didnt realize that some of the bills had stuck together. Mike called me and said that we had given him an extra $100 dollar bill and wanted to ask if we wanted to come get it or apply it to my loan. I literally couldnt believe that he had called to tell me this. 99 out of 100 people would have probably kept the extra money and not said anything about it, but not Mike. I truly couldnt believe it. That just spoke volumes to me about Mike and his staff and his business practices. Not to mention what a good man he is. If I need any future loans or Im looking to buy something, my first choice is South Charlotte Jewelry and Loan! And I will continue to refer people to Mike and his staff!!!!!

Mike and the team at South Charlotte Jewelry are the absolute best! I enjoyed working with them as I selected a used diamond solitaire for my fiancee. Mike patiently explained the ways diamonds are rated. He even has a microscope attached to a large monitor so that you can examine any diamond for quality. He also pointed out certain minor flaws in his own merchandise, things that I never would have even noticed.I watched as Mike and his staff made each customer feel important and they won my trust. By the time we were done, I decided to purchase one of their used engagement ring / wedding band sets. By the next day, Mike had it resized and thoroughly polished for me. It looked like a brand new ring! So I got a nearly 1/2 carat round solitaire for only $499, including the wedding band. My fiancee loves it!Incredibly, Mike even encouraged me to take the ring Id bought from him to any jeweler in Charlotte and ask them for an estimated value. So, after purchasing it, I took the ring to Jareds in south Charlotte. The gemologist there examined it under their own microscope. She told me that, if they were selling that ring, it would go for $2000 - 2500! Yes, the same ring set Id just bought for only $499!The team at South Charlotte Jewelry and Pawn are friendly and very knowledgable. Most important, you can trust them. Everything they told me turned out to be accurate and it helped me to make a great purchase.

Shes quite rude and short with people, and likes to hangup on customers when they call to make a payment on their loans.
