I went in to have have a necklace repaired and cleaned one morning. I explained to Simon that I had a date that night, that I’m really nervous and this is my favorite necklace! He assured me that I had nothing to worry about and said he could have it done by the end of my work day! AND HE DID!!! The necklace was beautifully repaired and cleaned by the time I got off work and they did it at a VERY reasonable price! I was overjoyed with the work he did! We needed to have a custom platinum ring made because it was impossible to find anything to match my wife’s engagement ring and we needed it done on short notice. We went in two weeks before the wedding and they said they could get it done for us and to our surprise it was not only done in time but two days earlier than the earliest they quoted us! The employees are amazing and make you feel very welcome would not shop anywhere else after this experience!

I have used this local Jeweler only a few times but they always remember my name every time I’m in the store. I have had repairs done as well as made purchases and the service is excellent! On my last repair the gentleman helping with the repair took note that the last time I had the necklace the shortened at another jeweler, they removed the Signiature Roberto Coin ruby. I didn’t ask for it to be added back but he had the ruby added back. Such a small gesture went a long way in making this my go to Jewelry store. Check them out!

Simon was very friendly, professional, genuine and likable. The original rings I was looking at had jewels around their entirety (360 degrees). That is what I thought I was getting, but not what I initially received (roughly 180 degrees). It was an honest misunderstanding. Shame on me for not clarifying before payment. The rings had beautiful craftsmanship and were wonderful rings, just not what I thought I was getting. When I picked up the rings and Simon realized that there was a miscommunication, he immediately rectified the situation. He took the rings back and made them eternity bands (a term I am now familiar with) at no additional cost. The final product was EXACTLY what I thought I was getting!! The rings were beautiful and produced in a very timely fashion! As an aside I had been a customer at and large jewelry store for the past 20 years (a huge advertiser in the Charlotte area) but more and more I felt like a number or $$ sign when I entered their doors. At Ballantine Jewelers, every time I entered the doors (spread out over several weeks) Simon would address me by name as I entered the store. He either has an incredible gift for remembering names or works hard to make his customers a priority. Either way, I intend to return as a lifelong customer.

I love that this is a family run business! The staff are all helpful and nice! I asked a lot of questions and they we always patient and helpful! Overall they have a great selection and they are willing to help you find what you need at your price range. I just bought my engagement ring here and I will be back for the bands and anything else we might want later!
