Ill start by being that customer and say I have spent an ungodly amount of money here. Most of my kitchen is stocked from here. I recently decided to use them to sharpen my knives. The biggest headache and mistake I could have made. I dropped them off, picked them up the same day. When I got home and unsheathed them, they were destroyed. Wavy and unusable. Thinking I was dealing with a company I respected I contacted customer service who asked for photos, and agreed compensation was the right path. They referred us to the store. Darcy, the manager was great when we arrived with the damaged knives, shared she couldnt believe how someone could have done this damage. She took the knives, and asked if we still wanted to go the compensation route, we said yes and provided our address as understandably the store cannot just cut a check. We left the knives also understanding we didnt expect to keep them and receive compensation. She assured us we would have a call back from her Tuesday. (This was a Saturday.) Tuesday comes and goes, no response. Then on Wednesday we receive a call our knives are fixed. We never signed or gave anyone permission to touch the knives again, and only left them under the guise we were turning them in to be compensated for them. Shocker, the manager wasnt in and couldnt be reached. So the associate manager who is the one I left the knives with the first time tells me she was told by Darcy to fix them and call us. Half the blade is gone from each knife from trying to fix them. Its now been weeks since I first asked for my knives to simply be sharpened and we are getting the runaround on a resolution. We are left without kitchen knives, and no can be bothered to call, and sort this out. I am begging you to move your money to Williams Sonoma who has never blatantly lied to us, and certainly has not damaged our products. This is a sorry excuse for a store who refuses to own what they did, and make it right.

What an amazing experience. My wife and I took the knife skill class on July 25. We learned a lot for Rachel that day. Even after the class she took the time to answer all of our questions. Their knifes are very very sharp. The whole store is super friendly and well knowledge of their products. This was our 3rd time going to Sur la table and we will be going back plenty more times.

2 years ago I came for my birthday. We took the cooking class and learned how to make all kinds of desserts! Absolutely amazing experience. I recommend everyone trying it once even if your only slightly into cooking

An amazing time was had by all in my family. We did the Italian Cooking for an early Mothers Day gift. The employees and chef were very nice. The cooking was extremely organized and fun. The final product was delisious. We were stuffed. Thank you so, we cant wait to come back.

My husband and I took a cooking class to celebrate my birthday. We chose the Oct 2 class and learned how to cook a New York style strip with compound butter, creamed kale, gruyere poppers, and creme brulee. Our instructor was so much fun and laid back. We shared the celebration with 2 other birthdays. There were 2 couples, and a group of 3 friends. Ages ranged from early 20s to upper 40s. This class is for ALL. I deducted one star because our steak was surprisingly not a great cut, but everything else was very good. If you decide to take a class, bring your own wine! (I wish I had.) Afterwards enjoy 10% off our purchase. We ended up purchasing a knife and set of frying pans and love everything we bought! Cooking is so much more enjoyable when you have the right tools.

Just had a wonderful shopping experience at Sur La Table in Southpark Mall in Charlotte, NC. Paul and Jess were wonderful in helping me find the best cake pans and cutting boards for my needs. This store is consistently amazing in customer service, quality products and cooking classes. Great job....cant wait to go back!!

I like the store in South Park, which I would recommend going into, but their online store is awful. I received a gift card for my birthday and have had to place orders 3x, because weeks after Ive placed my orders I get a notification that they cannot fulfill my whole orders. At this point, Ive had to call customer service 3x, and ask them to refund my gift card 3x. They dont automatically do it. Every order I place I get parts of my order, and then when I have to try and find something again, I get charged another delivery fee. I asked customer service to give me at least 1 free delivery, and they denied it. At this point Ive paid 3 delivery fees when I should have paid 1, and its almost 2 months after Christmas and still havent received all of the stuff Ive been trying to use my gift card from. William and Sonomas online store is way better.

Very disappointed. I ordered several things in November to be able to bake Christmas cookies with my kids. I gave it the 10 days that they said it would take... I kept getting oh you will get this on next week and this the first week in January. Then when I called for probably the 10th time, I got oh well we canceled your order. Which they did without notifying me first. Then had to wait 2 weeks for a refund. Did some reordering of things and I was sent a text saying that I was going to receive some of my order today. Well.... even though it said it was shipped and processed yesterday I will now get my package on Monday. I am so done with this company. No wonder they are going out of business.

Really poor service. The store is very nice, but do not order online. Lots of reviews speak about delays and cancellations. Ordered a stand up mixer that they cancelled 4 days later about a week before Christmas.

I placed an order in mid November, the item had no indication it was back ordered or out of stock. After a month of waiting I called customer service which was no help and said they couldn’t give me any update and pointed me to the manufacturer (Staub). I tried reaching out to them 4 various times through email and phone, nothing, never heard back. Finally in early January I get an update from SLT (sur la table)saying my order is delayed. So I waited, here we are 2 months from placing my order, I call SLT to check the status again bc I couldn’t get help from staub to find out my order was cancelled sometime in early January, and I didn’t get any notification (the customer service rep even saw in the system no notif. Was sent to me), which is ridiculous! The worse part is I was charged the full amount for the item upon checking out 2 months ago and I found out the refund hasn’t even been released to me, I had to actually ask them to refund me while on the phone. Wouldn’t you think common sense would be to refund me when you cancel an order? It’s like they’re trying to be sneaky bc if you don’t ask for your refund they’ll just keep the money. I will never order from this company again, if you do make sure you track your order and payment carefully.I’m sorry to post this on my local store’s review page bc they’re very nice, but there’s literally no where else to post about online ordering/customer service, and this review is strictly about that experience, not the local store.

We enjoy shopping here because of the high quality products but could do without the “car dealership” method of lack of clear pricing on items and “having to check with the manager” if items are on sale. Just put clear prices on your products.

We just left and it was so much fun! I have actually done it several times but tonight was the best because Chef Rachel has the best personality! I feel bad that she had to keep repeating herself to the Peopel that weren’t paying attention 😂 but she handled it with grace! Kept us all moving and very professional and personal! We will for sure be back again and I hope to get her!

Amazing customer service! I worked with Alex at the store. She was so incredibly patient with me and my decision for a new set of pots and pans. I ended up bringing home a set and later changing my mind. She was super attentive and exchanged my item with no problems at all. Thank you for your great customer service and patience! Incredibly helpful staff and just a pleasant shopping experience. We always find something we didn’t know we needed. Bonus points for the cashier encouraging us to swap out two almost-equivalent items in our cart so we could get the buy two get one free on a set.

Called about a coffee grinder I couldnt get the availablity info online. I was told one was left and it was new, so I drove across town. The grinder was not in the box and had no top. No discount offered for what was basically an incomplete display model and the salesperson insisted that it originally didnt have a lid. 😐

My mom and I went for her birthday. We had a great time. Instead of attempting to write down the recipe while cooking, you receive a packet giving you all the instructions you need. We have never done a cooking class and had a great time. Due to the small class sizes you get detailed instruction and help along the way. We will definitely be looking to do this again.

I have no negative feelings towards their product, but I have very strong feelings towards their service at this location. I called a week ago to inquire about the Staub Perfect pan since their website said it’s limited availability at this location. The lady on the phone first asked for the SKU number and then when she came back to the phone, instead of saying it’s in stock or not in stock, she asked me about the price. It felt wired since I didn’t understand why she needed to ask me the price. After I told her the price, she then immediately said “we don’t have any of those here.” Later that week I happen to stop at SouthPark mall and went in Sur La Table to buy something else, and I saw 7 Staub Perfect Pan sitting on the shelf and the price by then has risen by 30%. The attitude of the employees who worked longer at this location is always very bad. I don’t know if they are not happy that people are shopping in their store or they are not happy about customer giving inquiries, their answers are rude and dishonest. Will never visit this shop again!

I attended a cooking class here on June 21st and it was not anything like I expected it to be. Seeing that it was a cooking class, I expected that we would actually be cooking, but that was not the case. We were only there to chop up some herbs and garnishes while the chef did all the cooking. I do want to mention, the chef was great and super friendly, but I wanted more out of an $85/person cooking class. After reaching out to customer service on their website on June 22nd concerning my issues, I received an email back saying I would hear from the district manager within 3 business days. It has now been 8 business days and Ive followed-up numerous times and I still have not received a response. This place is a joke and no-one should spend their money at a business that proves they do not value their customers at all.

I was at Sur La Table in South Park for 40 minutes before I had to walk out. NO ONE said anything to me. Instead the stood at the counter and chatted amongst themselves. I walked back in because I had to buy two things for a competition tomorrow.When I bring up what I want to purchase and they see the price tags they then try to chauffeur me through the store to purchase unrelated items. It was absolutely pathetic. Definitely lost my future business completely.
