The lobby is very quiet and they keep live plants inside which i feel helped me to be patient and calm. I went to have a car inspection and the car had some problems which fix really quick. I left feeling very satisfied with the service overall!

This establishment is top notch! Great customer service whether over the telephone or in person, clean, honest professionals. They get you in & out as soon as possible.

I needed leaf spring perches and suspension brackets welded on a new axle housing. I have the old axle housing and would mirror the same measurements. They said they dont do fabrication/welding work on axles which is surprising. Their name suggests they do unlimited things with axles, this is not the case.

Im just trying to find out if they could install a four link.

One of the few places in the US that rebuilds CV axles BETTER than spec and at a much better price than the dealer. Theyve been around 25 years and have the experience to show it. Friendly group of guys as well. Had them rebuild 2 leaking CV axles in my 4th gen 4runner after reading reviews on t4r forums. Aftermarket CV axles for this vehicle are not good, do your research. Got some struts installed as well. Thanks guys!

Good service and atmosphere. Staff are jokesters while you wait in the waiting area and they do quality work on your vehicles. They fixed my rear axle and something else related to the axle but for some reason after a few days the same issue arose. I called and let them know my concerns: they offered to tow my car and offered to follow me to their establish from my location. I was able to get there on my own. They fixed the issue and did so w/o charging me extra. These guys are true professionals.

Had some axles that I couldnt get an aftermarket replacement set for and dropped it off with Dave. He rebuilt them better then the aftermarket ones would have been. I twisted 3 cv axles on my 2018 atv and the only person that had replacements was the dealer and they were outrageously priced, emailed Dave he said he would rebuild for half the price the dealer wanted new, so I shipped them across the state and he had them back in the same week BETTER than new. (Axles Unlimited is honest and stands behind their work)Johnson,- I understand where youre coming from on the Mecklenburg Inspections as a long time SC resident (No Inspections) and a long time Mecklenburg resident (Inspections) I think they are BS!- The DMV is always on the look out for shops willing to bend the rules on these inspections and the DMV will pull a shops license for passing with bad equipment- Going across the street and getting passed with the same know bad equipment by (NCDMV) standards is possible, but poor form on the shop that passed the car [I will bet $100 the Passing Shop didnt check wipers] and ultimately you. (This is a set of wipers at less than $15 for a set) and lets be honest. 95% of american dont replace them until they cant see in a rainstorm when it is to late. {{ Ever driven in Charlotte in the Rain?}} (How about tires?) Even more deadly! (These are GOOD reasons to have these state mandated inspections)- As far as you threatening him with Google Internet Justice [AKA reviews} and him responding like he did. (that is all unfortunate situation)Point here is: I understand your frustration with State Mandated inspections but you need to realize why we have them in MECK and how they are monitored across shops. Threatening people with Bad Google Reviews to get what you want is pretty poor form... (as well as the shop owners response) But you have to realize they have to deal with this type of behavior every day. (from people that dont understand/deem inspections necessary) He is just doing he job AS INSTRUCTED by the NC DMV. I would suggest writing your congressman on the pros/cons of state inspections or moving to SC like I plan to.

Took my wifes car in for an inspection and was told that the windshield washers were streaking the windshield and would have to be replaced. When I looked at the windshield there was an almost imperceptible (less than 1/32) arc across the windshield. I honestly thought the guy was joking. But he insisted they had to be replaced or he would fail it. Then of course he offered to sell me replacement blades. He said he would refund the $23.75 failed inspection fee if I could get someone else to pass it. So I went across the street to another shop, of course they passed it with no issue at all. I went back to Axels Unlimited to request my refund and the threatened to try to have the other shops licence pulled. He called the NCDMV and reported them but when I asked for their number both numbers he gave me where disconnected. When I went back in to the shop to ask for another way to contact the NCDMV he acted very frustrated and said forget it he would just refund me. After 15 minutes of waiting he puts me on the phone with someone who he claims if from the DMV. I told them I didnt care about getting my money back but wanted to make sure the other shop would not get in trouble for doing their job. I said they were very quick and courteous and I would be writing them a review reflecting that. I also said I would be writing a review for Axels Unlimited reflecting my experience there as I feel the gentleman was trying to take advantage of his position to get me to unnecessarily buy wipers from him. The Axles Unlimited guy of course hears all this and starts mumbling and when I hang up he immediately starts screaming in my face about how he doesnt care about me writing a #@$% online review and to get the $#%& out of his shop. So..... heres my review. If he is willing to try to hold me over a barrel over to get more money out of me on a simple inspection, how is he going to try to screw you out of more money when he pulls the axle out of your truck?
