Started using this auto shop as a single mom so in counting coins they kept me afloat with what was necessary and always took my challenges into consideration while doing a great job in keeping my vehicles up and running between commute to work, missed school buses and chaffeuring the kids to their activities. They are honest, small but mighty! Ive witnessed them grow and never falter on customer service! Very clean waiting room and facilities if you decide to wait, they work to get you in and out. Great to work with! They installed a shield to protect my catalytic converter, and did a great job, including adjusting it when I heard some rubbing…just a simple adjustment on the shield. They were very reasonable, and knew a lot about my car! Later I took my car in when a warning light for tire pressure would not go away, and I had taken the car to Firestone, who did not know what the warning light was, then when I looked it up, they told me how to reset the warning light…and that never worked…at least three times…(that was where I had just purchased a new set of tires).The manager at Hybrid Shop knew exactly what the problem was, had the mechanic check the diagnosis, and then told me the problem was common: as a Prius ages, a tire pressure sensor on each wheel that fails after about 8-10 yrs. Only two sensors were failing, so he suggested replacing only those two sensors for now. Saved me quite a bit of money. Since the wheels had to be removed it took some time, and the cost even with all the labor this entailed, was very reasonable. The shop has made careful, comfortable, and safe waiting rooms and also outdoor waiting areas. I have the utmost confidence in this company. I will take my car here for any work needed! Finding an excellent repair shop that is also very reasonably priced, is a Diamond in the rough!

Great repair shop! I brought my Prius in with all the dash lights on and they notified me about a manufacturer warranty that could cover the repair at a Toyota dealership. I only had to pay for the diagnostic. I will certainly be making this my regular repair shop. Very honest and thoughtful staff!

Incredible service. I was traveling from New York state and not only did I receive Quick and Proper Service, it was met with extreme compassion and fairness and speed. I spoke with the manager Greg right when they opened (amazingly so early at 7am!) he was able to have my Kia Soul in by 8:30 am where they immediately assessed the problem (of a detached front passenger tire and broken axle) and offered me two very fair positions I could take. Considering I had to travel all the way back to New York State the following day, I went with the more extra of the two. The relief I had at the price and at the quality and at the time frame in which it was done… well, it has been unmatched in any experience I have ever had in dealing with mechanics and car services in my life. Thank you so much Greg and team for taking care of me so wonderfully. I could not recommend this business enough!!!

I do not think I will ever find a mechanic as honest and trustworthy as this shop. Long story short, then went way WAY above and beyond in making sure my car problem was properly diagnosed and corrected. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Recently acquired a 1999 Toyota Celica, and installed a coilover suspension kit to lower it.. I spent 5 hours calling and driving around to different shops only to be told either its too low to get on the rack, or we use the factory alignment settings and since you lowered it, we cant align it. Finally I found this shop. They were more than happy to align the car. They were welcoming whereas every other shop I went to made me feel like a burden. I try to do most of the work on my cars myself, but if ever I have something needing to be done that is out of my wheelhouse, I will 100 percent be taking my car here.

Used this company for years...HONEST service - if you dont need it (even if you think you do)...it wont be done! I thought I had a burned out bulb - turns out it was just loose - I could have been charged for a new bulb and installation - they just fixed it! This has happened with other service(s) as well! I would recommend to anyone!

Auto Shop of the Carolinas has saved me sooo much money on my car repairs without compromising on quality. They are my go-to spot for any repairs I need for my Prius. When my car wasn’t covered for a power brake issue (dashboard randomly lit up and regenerative brakes stopped working), they were able to fix it up for half the price Toyota quoted me for. It was such a relief because I was certainly not ready to pay thousands for this repair, and they were so reassuring. They took my car in as soon as I could drop it off, and it only took a couple days despite it being a holiday week. I’ve returned to them one more time since then for a separate repair and received the same great customer service along with a great repair. They remembered me the second time I came in despite it being several months after. After each repair, Rozel reached out to me to ensure my car was running well. It’s also reassuring to know that the repairs are covered for a certain amount of time/number of miles. Hopefully I won’t need anymore repairs, but I know if I do, this is definitely where I’ll continue going.

I went to my dealer 3 times and they had every excuse for why they could not find the issue. Now these gentlemen are the TRUTH! They diagnosed the issue gave me a realistic timeline. If my car wasnt still under warranty I would have happily paid them to do it. Great service and very knowledgable. Exactly what you need.

Lets just say I wont be returning they have great customer service but I had work done and they put a aftermarket part on my vehicle its been causing problems since the work has been done now theyre telling me that they cant keep fixing it but its their mistake in their error so no I will not be returning to that shop

Been taking my cars to them for 5 years and very time has been a great experience. Before Covid, they would offer to drop me off at work while my car was getting worked on, customer service was excellent. Every time something needs worked on they provide me a quote and explain what is going on, theres no convincing or trying to get me to fix things that dont need to be fixed. They are good honest people and I would recommended anyone to them.

As always, Auto Shop got me scheduled quickly and taken care of without excessive wait time (says a lot with how busy they were). The staff is exceptionally friendly and courteous. Very fair prices. Highly recommend them.

Took a hybrid vehicle here for a pre-purchase inspection. They started on time and did a very thorough inspection, to include but not limited to scanning codes, testing the hybrid battery, testing the 12v battery, putting it on a lift to check brakes, tire wear, signs of damage, leaks, etc.During the inspection they identified a missing underbody panel, a weak 12v battery, and slight uneven tire wear. I was able to take their report back to the dealer and negotiate the price down even more. Overall the inspection cost me ~$65 but ended up saving much more in the long run after using this information to negotiate. Not to mention I have a piece of mind from the start that I bought a decent used car.

This shop always meet or exceed my expectations of excellent service. No hidden fees or inflated pricing. I love how they email you what they find when servicing my vehicle and ask for either my confirmations to proceed or to wait. I highly recommend as a one stop shop!!

This place has been very good to me and my hybrid over the last 2 years. My hybrid has been to other places but it seems I always have to return here to correct thier mistakes. The guys pretty much knows me and my car by now. The only thing I dont like is that they are not open on Saturdays....as a single mom who works a lot it can be inconvenient to only come M-F but we always work it out. The shop is always clean and coffee is stocked most of the time. The quiet and friendly atmosphere makes it very comfortable if you are waiting on your repair as well!! The prices is always reasonable and fair. I highly recommend this repair shop for your hybrid!!

My check engine light was on and I needed an alignment. The staff was friendly and set me an appointment to bring my car in. I had so many people check my car with the portable.machines, never do that again. After testing my car they let me know that it was just a bad fuse. All i could think of was how they could have easily ripped me off told me it was some expensive sensor but they didnt they also assessed my control arm was worn out. They reinsulated some wires for me and cleaned my throttle body and my car runs like new. The fact that they were honest meant alot to me I will definitely continue to support this business.

I had to get the engine replaced in my Ford Transit cargo van. The Ford dealership gave me a $13 K quote . I called Auto Shop of the Carolina and they did it for $8K . The shop is very organized, clean, the mechanics that work there are very professional . Even the restroom is very clean, the waiting room is stocked with beverages, cofee, the whole experience is great. This is the only auto shop that I use and will highly recommend it to anyone .

Highly recommend this repair shop.... they do more than hybrids, most any car I think. They are the only place I trust and they always take great care of me. Locally owned and operated a close knit group that has strong communication and is always on the same page. We’ve been going there for years for all service and repair needs.

Wont take my car anywhere else for regular service. Its conveniently near my work and they always pick up and drop off my car for me. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Any issue I have had, the manager Trent has been quick to act and respond, as well as go the extra mile to look for other things with the vehicle while its in their shop. Its not just an oil change and done shop. They want to make sure youre safe on the road when your car is returned to you.

A very good auto repair shop at a reasonable price. I stopped in for a wheel alignment, which few shops do, and they used state-of-the-art equipment to get it done right and quickly. The total cost was under $100. In upstate NY, where Im from, a similar service can cost upward of $150. If Im ever in the area again, Ill be sure to stop in. Thank you! :)

I live in S.C. and found Hybrid Shop of Carolinas online after searching for hybrid battery replacement for my 2008 Tahoe. They were highly rated and everyone seemed to have had a positive experience. I spoke to Trent Courtney on the phone multiple times before i finally decided to have the battery replaced. From the very first conversation I had a very positive feeling about Trent. He was very knowledgeable about my situation and was not pushy. Even after my 5th call he never seemed to get frustrated. I drove 4 hours from S.C. to get the battery replaced. The experience was very positive from the moment I stepped into their office til I started my trip home. The office and waiting room were very clean and well kept. Trent talked me through the entire process as it went along. Ive had no issues since it was done and would highly recommend anyone to use them for Hybrid or any auto needs.

Great experience with these guys. Toyota dealer said we needed a complete hybrid battery replacement - not necessary. Some replaced, some reconditioned. Hybrid Shop communicated through the whole process and cost 1/2 of what Toyota dealership was going to charge us. They know their hybrids - well be back when our other hybrids need service.

The staff were attentive, polite, genuinely friendly... and listened... Really listened.Not only did Hybrid Shop Of The Carolinas give me a completely different diagnosis of my problem than did the dealer, (which turned out to be correct) they saved me from needless and very expensive repairs. They quickly fixed the problem, while maintaining stellar, transparent communication... And they provided me with a loaner car.I have my car back and I spent a fraction of what I was thinking I would have to. This is a win in my book.

The service was absolutely genuine, I felt that the guys there would do what it takes to get you out the door with not only the best service but the best price. Im a car guy and have been to quite a few repair shops, and I havent got as good of feeling and confidence with anyone as I did with this place. I live about 40mins away from these guys but Ill make the drive to give them my business.
