Great store easy to find stuff. Return and customer service is great. Been going to this store for about 15 yearsOnly had a few minor issues
This Home Depot has particularly beautiful and reasonably priced plants for both inside and outside. The staff is knowledgeable about what they are selling and keep the plants well watered and cared for. We purchased multiple plants for the patio including some perennials that could not be found anywhere else.
EDDIE WAS A FANTASTIC SALESMAN WHO TOOK OVER THE PLUMBING DEPT WHILE I WAS THERE LOOKING AROUND. STEVE ALSO HELPED ME EARLIER and BEING Handicapped didnt slow him down one bit. This store has great personnel.
Great place! Ive been coming here prettyuch exclusively for home repair and or renovation project needs ever since I moved to the area almost 10 years ago. Its not just due to proximity, its pretty close to where I live, but also because I swear by Behr paint. IMO it is one of the best on the market for the price you pay. Ive used Behr paint inside and outside my house and on my deck. Absolutely love how well it coats, its durability, and easy of maintenance.Service at this location is amazing, theyre friendly and they are all very knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are good and they have a great selection. The store is always orderly and clean.
Not a busy store but employees can do better! We needed to rent a cargo van, they have one and is first come first served. I called ahead and this store does not allow online reservation so we rushed and drove for 30 mins to get there. Don’t get me wrong we got the van but the employee gave us mixed signals… she is not a happy camper but she helped us anyways. I think that if you are not happy with your job, the customer is not your tool to vent ;( and when we returned the van the second employee who helped was even more unhappy and mean.
I own McFarland Pro Maintenance Services and shop this location often. Scott in the plumbing department is a life saver and keeps my visit time short by helping me find what I need every time. This location is awesome, but Scott has made shopping this location a breeze for all my plumbing needs.
Very nice store. Had exactly what we needed. Store was clean and plenty of staff available to help!
Overall, store is fully stocked and very neat. This location is always organized and clean. However, the customer service team of women are terrible! I stood in front of them waiting to be greeted and ALL of them looked at me like I was crazy... all I wanted to know where something was. Staff on the floor was great!
In general, this is the Home Depot I go very often, and have been having good experience. However, tonight, 09/28/2021, I had a terrible experience. I went there to see if I can return a lawn mower which was purchased around the end of June. I didnt have a receipt. I went to a man at the front desk, and he told me that the return had to be within 30 days, and I had to go to the mower store to have it repaired. I said O.K. As I walked out, I check the website to check return policy, and it said 90days to one year. I returned to the man to show him. He made a phone call to call somebody to come to talk to me. I waited maybe 10 mins, A white woman with short blond hair showed up and I talked to her again saying I didnt have a receipt but they could check my credit card to find the purchase which I did in other stores. She insisted that it had to be Home Depot credit card and asked around for back up. The man said again it had to be within 30 days. I asked him to show me the policy. He showed me the policy posted on the glass which clearly said after Mar 1st, it was 90 days instead of 180 days. Then he said there was exclusions. I asked him where it said that the mower was an exclusion. He couldnt answer....Anyway, at the end, another woman checked my credit card, found the purchase, and the mower was returned.During this process, the man (Ryan as I remember his name on his clothes), and the white blond short hair woman were arrogant, and lying. They did not understand the store policy which was fine and they could just ask, but they didnt. I wasnt sure if it was because I am an asian and they didnt think I understood English. Even after the man lied, he was still laughing around.I hope people are honest, humble, and kind. Its a pity to see people like this. Shouldnt customer service people at least know store policy? Its O.K. to not know, but its not O.k. to be arrogant and lying. Also, they were not wearing masks.
My wife and I was gifted a crib 5 years ago by my parents but we lost the hardware in the process of moving. The manufacture did not offer the hardware separately for purchase so we had to try and find the needed hardware from a hardware store.First I went to Lowe’s and after 40 minutes of waiting and asking 3 employees for help and got no assistance, I decided to try Home Depot instead to find what I needed. The customer service between the two places was night and day. I was immediately able to find someone to not only tell me where everything was but also took the time to help me find everything I needed. The employee’s name who assisted was Booker. Thank you again for going above and beyond the definition of customer service.
It would be 5 star if it had a rental center. Staff is always helpful.
There was a strong odor in there air there today but other than that the store was great. The store is huge but there is always someone around to help you find what you need.
This place is my heaven!!! I get everything from here. I would purchase meat and potatoes from here if I could. I just purchased an eight foot ladder from there today. I am an electrician there is not a single supply house they can compete with the Depot. Theyre wire prices beat everybody. They are the mans man store without a doubt. The Home Depot is the best place ever!!!!
We made the mistake of buying a refrigerator from home depot. The refrigerator arrived and we placed all our food in the refrigerator. 24 hours later, all our food has defrosted and was at room temperature!! The refrigerator was not working, even if it sounded like it was!! We lost a minimum of $300 worth of food. Home depot (the store and website) never offered to make the situation better, even when asked to speak to the supervisor. They only offered to deliver a new fridge to us in 10 days!!! Unacceptable, considering that we are now storing our food in a cooler box and having to buy ice regularly! Needless to say that we canceled our order and ordered from Best Buy instead. Faster and better service there!!
Our appliance shopping experience was outstanding however the appliance delivery service is awful! After waiting all day they called us at 7:15 pm to tell us our washer would not be delivered. We were 9th for delivery. Just a suggestion, but how about limiting deliveries in 90 degree temps to under 6.Manpower can just do so much in the heat and good help is hard to find.
Normally Home Depot has a high standard for its employees and most of the people in this story are nice and professional. But the old guy watering plants in the outdoor section is the rudest person I have ever met. He came to me yelling something with a thick accent and when I tried to tell him I don’t understand what he wanted, he waved the wand at my wife. Home Depot should do a better job at screening its employees
Not a good experience at all. No shopping carts available but okay didnt mind walking to get one from the parking lot. Associates were not helpful or even polite on the aisle I was shopping. It was more like I was in their way or interrupting their personal conversations. Its a big store and the time it takes to make simple purchases is a huge opportunity. The cashiers appear to carry the load for everyone and are polite.
Not happy. We drove to this location because they were the closest one that had them item in stock according to the website. We ordered online, received a notification that the order was ready to be picked up, and when we got there, no one could find our order. One lady tried to be helpful and apologized, but the other 3 people involved were not interested in looking for it and processed our refund before we even asked for the refund.
Went to purchase three flat panel 2 foot by 2 foot LED lights - first went The Home Depot in Rock Hill and they only had one - member of staff scanned it and directed me to one in SteelCreek shopping center. Great.
Neveah was incredible. She was so helpful, patient and professional. Im not handy at all and Im slightly design savvy. She helped from start to finish. Will be back again because of her!
Love Home Depot..very well stocked unlike the Lowes across the street from me..very friendly and knowledgeable associates..
Just ordered carpet for my daughter and son in law. Great service.
If I could give a 0 star I definitely would. My husband and I placed an online order for a washer and dryer, everything went smoothly we paid the total amount and got our delivery date. Today February 26th was our delivery day, it is 4:52pm and we are still waiting for the drive to show up. Believe it or not he called at 8:25am saying he will be here in 10 minutes. We waited from 8:30-12:30 and nothing. Long story short we called Home Depot and all they said we are sorry for your inconvenience, they couldn’t get a hold of the driver, gave us a different phone number to find out about the delivery, same thing happen.... so all they keep saying is sorry about the inconvenience and we can’t get a hold of the driver.I’m sure this driver works for somebody and I’m sure he has to give paperwork about his deliveries but Home Depot won’t tell us who is making the delivery.I am very very disappointed. We bought the machines because we need them, not because we wanted to spend money. It is unacceptable the fact that they are washing their hands saying sorry for the inconvenience.Do not purchase anything from Home Depot ever, their customer service is horrible.
Stayed in the store longer than expected. Spent an hour finding and buying things In needed for the house.
Home Depot is a great store of everything you will ever need to complete your home, garden, or business. The whole staff of Home Depot its always say good morning. .. hello can I help you ready to help and assist you in all your needs & knowledgeable in the items that Home Depot carries and the prices is second to none. I love going to this Home Depot browsing around looking for things I need and just checking out to see all the latest new equipment the new appliances, new flowers/plants etc. To the entire staff at Home Depot Thank You for all your hard work & dedication to your customers. I appreciate yall 100%
Tried to purchase over 400 dollars in lawn and garden. Everything locked up like a jailhouse. Then was ignored by the woman in the department and had to have her paged teice overhead at customer service before she showed up with an attitude. Horrible customer service through out this place and highly unprofessional employees. Customer service acted like i was a bother for trying to get help. Wouldnt shop here again.
Great experience buying washer and dryer. Mr Chable in appliances was very courteous and efficient.
I purchased a bunch of flats of flowers for my daughter new home and they were a variety and very beautiful. The atmosphere was welcoming abd great customer service.
The people working there and over the phone were great. Nothing against them. But this was the first time we ordered a washer and dryer and it got delayed 3 times /6 weeks or more. I live out of town and each time I had to fly with their new delivery date just to be disappointed. Each time I called, they just said its out of their hand and nothing they can do. Finally cancelled my ordered. Go and pick up from store. But dont order any appliances and trust that it will be delivered. Now my refund is in progress but that is also weeks away. Just blocked my money for no reason.
Their curbside pickup leaves a lot to be desired, but other than that they are pretty good.
Always helpful and more likely than other similar places to have what I need.
Its an ok location but not much inventory and no tool rental at Rivergate location. Very friendly staff.
Actually got someone to help at this store, good service and friendly
No one to help you the staff just walls by dont. Even acknowlege you.
Hands down my preferred Home Depot of 3 in the area. Great customer service professionals.
Very Clean nice store. Beautiful plants.
I usually go to the Home Depot in Rock Hill. But needed to come here since they were out of what I needed. They store had used ALL the lumber carts for new inventory I assume. Taking up all the aisles making it impossible to navigate the store. Once I found a cart an employee yelled at me saying he needed it. Um.....I’m sorry since when don’t customers matter or come first? I’m pregnant and can’t carry 4 full sheets of plywood with my hands. Absolutely ridiculous! I’ll be avoiding this store at all costs from here on out.
You cant even get in without going around all the detours. The staff isnt as friendly... Its been over a year now and ppl are still living behind a mask and in fear. Its the FLU! Do yourselves a favor and STOP WATCHING THE NEWS! I just dont understand why ppl choose to live in fear and lose business. Id rather go to Lowes. Theyre much nicer there and the prices are better, but to each their own...
Everyone is very friendly there. I went in to get a replacement faucet for my kitchen sink. I was able to open the box before leaving the store to make sure it was the size I needed before going home and possibly having to come back to do an exchange. Is one of my favorite stores.
Theres a lot you can find at Home Depot, but my favorite area is the garden section.Plants of every size, styles, makes it a fun garden project.
Another good experience at the Steele Creek HD. Helpful and knowledgeable team got me out the door with what I needed. Thanks again.
This has got to be the WORST Home Depot Ive ever been to. Its super dirty, there are products everywhere in the aisles. There are detours everywhere, its just not up to standard, the customer service sucks, no one is friendly and the inventory is extremely low and over priced. I do not recommend this location at all.
Staff is very helpful and friendly. Great customer service at returns desk and at self check out.
I usually split my time between Home Depot and the other store because they carry different styles. Driving there this morning I found they had the main road blocked will fall plants and flowers. What was the manager thinking? Another 20 feet and they would be in the parking lot where the rental vehicles parked. Why not put there to keep us from having to maneuver around this obstacle? They didn’t have what I needed and saw no one to ask. Not really a bad experience, just a little frustrating and a waste of time.
Both curbside pickup orders that Ive placed have been disastrous. The first time, I checked in and waited for nearly an hour before calling the store. The employees didnt hang up the phone after our conversation, and I heard them talking about employees leaving curbside unattended when they leave or go on breaks - apparently it happens frequently. Then, they lost the 2nd order, but didnt tell us that until wed been sitting there waiting for over 40 minutes. I have never had such a poor curbside pickup experience at ANY other retailer. Luckily, Lowes is even closer to my house than Home Depot. CUSTOMER LOYATY LOST!!!!
Purchased washer and dryer based on delivery date, was placed on truck, waited to midnight, it was a no show, no communication from anyone! A new delivery date 11 days later, then Home Depot sends email stating they were having trouble with a merchandise in the warehouse, when specifically the delivery company said it was on the truck😱 Guess what, next day delivery and over $300.00 cheaper at Lowe’s!
Nice were house
Attempted to exchange a tool (a high pressure inflator got a high volume inflator... Same price, same brand. The original purchase was made on my HD card, just like every purchase (I do this on purpose to avoid having to keep up with paper receipts), but the associate couldnt find it in the system. After a 10 minute harangue, she announced, exasperated, that she could only give store credit. Which of course would have been fine because I only wanted to exchange the tool for another, similar tool of the same brand, same price. Which we looked at together on the Home Depot app. Both the tool I was returning and the tool I wanted to buy were $29.97 (plus tax). She issued me a store credit for $19.97 plus tax, and then argued with me that it was correct, even though we go had just looked at the tool on the store app and it was $29.97. She insisted that the tool on the app included a battery and charger, while the one I returned was a bare tool. However, the SKU for the two items was exactly the same, and the description on the app clearly stated tool only. Then they didnt have the tool I wanted and I had to drive to another Home Depot about 10 miles away, where I bought the correct tool, used my store credit, and paid the difference ($10.70) with my Home Depot card. When I got home, I applied for a Lowes card and will never shop at Home Depot again. Today was the very last straw.
Friendly helpful staff who were willing to go look for product stock and not just tell me they were all out based on shelf availability.
Awesome hardware store
Just keep driving to the Home Depot in Pineville or elsewhere. The customer service is horrible here. I shouldn’t have to hunt down an associate for a simple question. Also, when I did a curbside pickup they left out part of my order saying it had not yet arrived when I know for sure I received an email saying it was ready. They refused to acknowledge their mistake. I’ve been having much better experiences with Lowe’s so I’m permanently taking my business there.
The curbside pick-up is a joke. You pulled in the designated parking spot and finished the check-in. Fifty minutes later you are still waiting. Not acceptable!Update: After a phone call, one very nice young lady from customer service desk brought me the goods. The total length of time is 75 min after my check-in.
Nobody have me a hard time about not being able to wear a mask. That was relieving. I found the things I needed, after looking in a few different. Trying to fabricate a bracket out of steel, so nobody there could easily assist me. I just needed to use my imagination. I found everything I needed.
Couldnt find what I was looking for, asked (associate/employee) for assistance stopped there for a moment with a confused look. Supervisor(?) approached and asked employee if it was supposed to be thier lunch break, didnt apologize for interrupting or offer assistance. Employee referred me to customer service. Told customer service associate what I was looking for. Associate asked if I looked in department for item (I had) Then associate asked if she could help next customer .I left and went to Lowes and easily got what I wanted.
I went in for a quick purchase and had an idea of the area to look, but the item is a tube that is so small, its like looking for a needle in a haystack. The first Home Depot employee to walk down the aisle asked me if I found everything I was looking for. When I told him what I needed, he escorted me to the correct location and pointed it out to me. They saved me a ton of time .
Waited for over 30 minutes at the curb after checking in for my curbside pickup. No one turned up, and I had to go in and get it myself
Tried to rent a pickup truck for a weekend project and called every store in Charlotte (including Lowe’s) and no dice. I saw online that this location had two truck options- both would work for us. We called this location multiple times to verify they were both actually available and could NEVER get through to anyone. We drove 40 minutes one way to get there and you guessed it- both were “out of service”. I’m now driving to SC to get one. Fingers crossed!
Whatever you need for improvement in the house you can find out at good prices
Wasnt that bad, especially when people compare the blue and orange box stores side by side, they both have their own issues and depending on location will make the difference that much greater. I only prefer lowes just because its much closer.
I use it all the time, there are some things that stood out for who is doing all the construction job,but thats all Ill say.Felt like I was in another country, just saying.
Always great service and experience while shopping there.
You can find most things that you need for your home improvement projects here. Convenient to Southwest Charlotte / Steele Creek areas.
Best price on all.
Everyone was real helpful got asked at least 10 times if I needed any help im a lowes guy but home depot tested me well
This is one of the better Home Depot stores that I have been to.
Clean and employees are great.
Buying on site has never been a problem. Buying online and picking up at store, not so much. Person at the Pro desk where I was told to pick up at couldnt find my items. He looked twice where it was supposed to be and couldnt find it. He went around the store and still couldnt find anything. I looked for myself where it was supposed to be and immediately found it behind another cart. Not very attentive worker.
Love thier veterans discount
I has looking for a certain product. It was not in stock. I had checked on line before going to the store.. said it was in stock..I had asked an associate to direct me to the section where I could find the product I was looking for and she was very helpful.
Spent 2 hours trying to make a exchange. No one in store able to navigate computer.
Nice store- I shop here a lot, however I cant help notice its difficult to find some help if I cant something. Yesterday I walked in circles trying to find some battery powered LED Fairy lights on copper wire. After giving up - I found a box of USB powered LEDs sandwiched in between an unrelated item (although it was in the Christmas tree atea). I wanted to try them but had a couple of questions about using this product outdoors, but still no one was around. This area is in the very front of the store. I can only imagine this will not get better as Nov. is around the corner. Oh and where did they move the Solar light section?? I always buy something pretty for my solar garden and the entire section has been moved. Viewing the cup half full = HD saved me at least $50.00 just on the solar light :)
Easy enough to find what we needed. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Its Home Depot... They are almost all the same. This store does have huge buckets of sanitizing wipes at the entrance and exit...
Home Depot is a great place to shop everything was good was accessible was easy
Associate paged over the intercom like 15 times for help in garden center, no one came, service desk paged for loading assistant 5 times no one came, sat at the doors service desk waiting for help for over 30 minutes, associates walk by and don’t ask if you need help, asked associate for help she said Frank is on lunch sometimes he takes half an hour sometimes an hour, never asked if there’s something she could possibly help me with, I had a very simple question but it seems like literally no one cares, revisit your service standards or maybe retrain your associates.
Always good
Decent experience at the garden center.. employees could be a bit more helpful and obliging
Took 20 minutes to get help with paint
Went with my girlfriend and everyone treated us great. Were working on building out our backyard and we got great suggestions and really good prices. Love this Rivergate area as everything is so close. Will be back to work on our house more!!!
Probably the best customer service that I have ever had at a Home Depot.
Lots of stuff sitting in floor and isles. Had what I needed.
The staff at this store are superb!! I purchased a gas grill this afternoon and two employees helped me partially disassemble it so it’d fit in my car and then loaded it up. In addition to today’s experience, I returned two extra boxes of porcelain tile a few weeks ago and two employees graciously came out to my car, loaded the boxes onto a cart and took to customer service desk for me. The politeness and helpfulness of all of your employees goes a long way. Thank you!!
Its a great store and they have a great selection of Traeger grills!! Wow!
Can never find help when your looking for something, wouldnt spend a dime there
Clean store, always stocked...
Home depot has made it easy for people to find the items your looking for with their app. I am usually in and of this store. Now ordering online for pick up is huge waste of time. In two occasions I ordered the day before to pick up early in the morning and I had to wait more than 45 minutes when I went to pick up. I guess the online service is for homeowners that are not in a schedule.
Great.
Jeez!! I recently bought a new refrigerator online and picked it up Sunday in the store. Whoever pulled 1 from the 8 fridges in stock needs a vision test because it wasn’t in a box and had several large dents on it with one huge one on the top back left corner. Customer service however did a great job quickly pulling another one from stock as a replacement.
So we woke up to our Christmas tree having fallen over in the night. We ordered a heavier duty base, but needed a solution until it arrived. The folks in the orange aprons were a great help. They suggested using sand bags.Bought 3, 50 lb bags, and a smaller sheet of plywood.Fingers crossed, its working.
Clean store with very knowledgeable staff.
On several visits, the staff have always been helpful in every department that Ive visited. The garden department is a great place to stroll around and brainstorm on home improvement ideas. I also like browsing the grills and wondering what a $1000 grill can do that my $300 one cant. The folks in the wood dept have always been more than happy to cut my pieces for me, and I love going through the junk pile looking for cheap wood for little projects around the house.Happy customer :)
