The Toddy Shop on Harbor View Road on James Island is a great place to find just about every kind of drink you are looking for. They have a really good selection and pretty good prices and values. I have been able to find exactly what I was looking for each time I have visited here and have been able to quickly get in and out with what I was searching for. The service here is friendly and efficient and they are very helpful. I have always had a positive experience at the Toddy Shop and they have been consistent in their quality.

I wanted to support this business because they are local. But they demanded I wear a mask when I tried to go in. I explained that I had COVID 2 months ago, and I was no risk to them. Plus, the vaccine is available if their staff is at risk. They demanded I wear a mask. I left. Long and short: Patronize this business if you support totalitarian mask policies. Me, I believe that we were doing it the right way during the million years humanity managed to survive before 2020. I will support businesses that allow me to breathe.

I love this little store. I have cancer and cant wear a mask, and although I usually have someone else to send out for things, Ive been alone for awhile here and had to go out today for the first time on my own to pick up groceries and was hoping to get some Jameson for the evening. Groceries I could order ahead, but not the liquor of course. Totally not essential, but as someone who has been quarantined much longer than the covid stuff, this little luxury means a lot to me, and is one of the small things I can look forward to on occasion to get past the harder days. Since it is not essential, however, I was completely prepared to hear no when I called to ask. I sincerely appreciated (and was greatly delighted) that Cathy was able to accommodate me over the phone and through the glass so I did not have to enter and we did not have to have any contact or violate any ordinances. This gesture of kindness meant so much to me, but is so typical for what Im used to from these folks.
