Impressed with their cute place and friendly, helpful staff. Their unique hot fudge sundae with Tahitian vanilla was interesting and distinctive. Butter pecan had lots of pecans and was unequaled. Variety of ice cream left us wanting to come back and try more flavors!! Good job Off Track on committing to using fresh local ingredients and making every batch of ice cream by hand!!

Off Track Ice Cream— located just off the beating path of King Street— nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Due to certain circumstances, you can’t sample any of the flavors at this time. I ended up getting one of the vegan flavors: brown sugar, oat milk, and cookies. Which, surprisingly was pretty good. They say they use local ingredients. A little overpriced for the scoop portions.

I have to come here every time I’m downtown! They’re always putting out new flavors that are unheard of. Pumpkin mocha chunk? Cold brew honeycomb? Peach crisp? All delicious - and you can take home a pint of your favorite

Chic ice cream parlor. Cost $32 for a family of four. Fresh mint flavor was fresh! The waffle cone was delicious and the kids enjoyed their strawberry ice cream topped with rainbow sprinkles in a sugar cone.

Do what I did and get a 4 half-scoop sampler!This would be a great treat for even a small family as they browse downtown a Charleston and a reasonable option price-wise!top left to bottom right- cookie dough, cookies and cream, chocolate fudge brownie and salted pretzel! My 2 favorites from these were the cookies and cream and salted pretzel! Bonus if you are non dairy or vegan-the cookies and cream is terrific and they have more than your average options for those diets!

Really good ice cream shop located in a great location within Charleston. The problem is that the prices are too high and the portions are on the smaller end. Really wanted to give this a higher review, as the ambiance and quality is there, but just couldn’t with those prices and portion sizes.

Off Track was EVERYTHING! I struggle to find good dessert options because I cant do gluten or dairy 😫 But let me tell you! This adorable stop did not disappoint! I got their cold brew and honeycomb vegan ice cream on vegan & gluten free sugar cone 😍🤤😋And the hubs got their vegan choc & pb and it had legit pb chunks. Both were absolutely delish. Well def be back and would highly recommend.Oh and ps, for those that dont want vegan, they have traditional ice cream too!

I love my ice cream and at my age Ive tried many. This might possibly be the best I had. I tried the vanilla and glad I did. I was able to get a good taste at the base of the ice cream which was amazing. It must be the cream they use. My wife had the key lime which I also enjoyed

What a little hidden gem! I love ice cream and try to stop by homemade ice cream spots. Off Track Ice Cream is a hit to me. I asked one of the staff for a recommendation for a flavor. She recommended the Raspberry with Chocolate covered Pretzels on a waffle cone. I must say that it was AWESOME!!! I will be back again when I am in town to try another flavor...plus they a dog friendly establishment! Thank you for a quality ice cream and great service with a smile!

All natural homemade flavors but not the traditional taste. Sometimes things shouldnt be messed with. The chocolate fudge brownie tasted like it had alcohol in it. The mint chip has a strange natural mint taste. I LOVE ice cream and this is the first time I have thrown it away because I just couldnt eat it. It tasted so strange. I was excited because of previous great reviews but my whole group was very dissatisfied. All four of us didnt like it. Definitely would not come back.

I was absolutely in love with this place but then management handled a situation that rubbed me the wrong way. I used to work in food and beverage. It didnt make sense to me. The service industry is having a hard enough time as is.The product is legit though. I just wont be going out of my way to visit or refer anymore.

Oh my gosh! The vegan oatmeal cookie ice cream was AMAZING. Vegans and non-vegans alike will love their offers. The employees were delightful, insightful, and helpful. I also ordered a vegan brownie to go. It was a gooey and rich delight with a more brownie batter texture with giant dark chocolate chunks. It takes a little trek to get to this little establishment, but much worth the effort!

I love this place. The vegan options are suprisingly amazing. However, after going a number of times I realized the portions range. First 2 times we got the sampler of 4 half scoops. Next 2 times we got 3 full scoops. First time it was legit scoops. This time, while celebrating, our 3 scoops were 2 half scoops and 1 full scoop. I dont understand the difference. I figured getting 1 scoop would be larger compared to each scoop for the 2 and 3. I didnt expect 2 half scoops. Dont let the blonde girl with brown roots make your ice cream. Next time Ill have to specify that I want my 3 scoops to actually be 3 scoops.

Went out on a limb to try the vegan ice cream and it was just okay. It tasted less like ice cream and more like nuts. I wasnt surprised when I looked at the menu and saw the main ingredient was cashews. I wouldnt do the vegan again but their traditional ice cream is good

I had to travel and visit this place. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The fresh ice cream selection was nothing short of amazing. The staff was very friendly and was very patient in explaining the options and detailing the ingredients, all made fresh and in house. While its a little pricy, I wouldnt dare put an amount on quality, and thats what I got... Quality service and ice cream. We got vanilla and Brown Butter Bourbon Cake. Theyve only been open for 3 weeks, but I hope they have much success and longevity.

Couldn’t believe the range of non-dairy options. Usually I’m stuck eating a lemon sorbet. The vegan cookie and cream and peppermint chip were amazing. Can’t wait to go back and try more flavors!

One of the things we enjoy doing every week is having our ice cream dates. We head out and take a little time to kick back and enjoy a couple scoops. And our favorite ice cream spot in the Charleston area is hands-down Off Track. It’s always a struggle to decide which flavors to get since they have so many incredible regular flavors alongside amazing seasonal choices.When we were planning our wedding, we started down the normal path of having a cake for the reception. That was the direction we were heading up until about a month before the wedding. We visited Off Track for our weekly ice cream date and took notice of the ice cream cart they had inside the shop. It didn’t take long for us to decide that we wanted to put our own personal spin on our reception dessert - local ice cream! Not only was that totally us, but is also paired well with our Indian dessert - gulab jamun.The process of booking the cart and choosing the flavors could not have been easier. Alissa was fantastic throughout the booking process, including working with us on our fluctuating guest count. And as we expected, Off Track was a huge success at the wedding. Guests are still telling us how good it was. We love hearing about how much they enjoyed the ice cream, but of course we already knew how amazing Off Track is. Having them at the wedding was such a fun and unique way for us to celebrate.

Ive always wondered why we dont have more ice cream places around town, so Im glad to see a new(er) local business give it a go. Service was friendly, and the shop was very cute.About half the menu were vegan options in different flavors than the traditional ice creams - just be aware that the base mix they use for the vegan flavors contain cashews and coconut (in case youve got allergies). They keep a current menu on their website, so you can see which rotating flavors theyre carrying before you go.
