Best tomatoes in town. Heirloom tomatoes make outstanding tomato sandwiches.

Small grocery store with selection of veggies, homemade breads, locally roasted coffees, common spices, fruits, fresh pasta, local meats (in the freezer section), etc.TERRIFIC fresh pasta (made by Rio Bertolinis in Charleston) in the refrigerated section! We drive 45 mins. one-way to pick up 5 or so tubs of these about every other week. They last a few weeks in our refrigerator, and are very easy to make. They are all delicious! They have a good selection, too: spaghetti, linguine, pappardelle, ravioli, gnocchi (spinach, sweet potato, fresh ricotta, etc.), even ramen.Instructions on the tubs tell you to cook the pasta in boiling water for 1-2 minutes. But when we make them, we simply put one bunch (there are two in one container) in a bowl. Pour boiling water over it. Let it stand for about a minute depending on how firm you like your pasta. Thats it -- youre done. Just pour your favorite pasta sauce over it.

We lived close to the Veggie Bin while we were renovating our home. I regularly visited them and wish we were still close. The parking is not ideal. But, they have fantastic produce at a really good price. You can get just about everything you need and they have a great loyalty card. I received money towards my purchases often.

So happy there is still a Veggie Bin. Ive been to every location thru the years. In West Ashley, they were on 61 and Wappoo where a pawn shop is now. They were where Big Lots is now, and of course on Society St. I believe this is 3rd generation. Good selections.

I used to go to their original location weekly when I worked at the corner of East Bay and Calhoun. I love this place and went to the new Spring Street location recently. They support local farms by selling their produce and they also have a ton of local Carolina farm fresh items.

I love this place! It is actually cheaper than Bi-Los in many things and they are usually local! They have veggies, fruit, spices, etc. I also love that they have bulk bins of grains and certain dry goods so you can reduce your packaging use! and to top it off the staff is always friendly and cheerful! I highly recommend this place to everyone!

This place is amazing. I stop in a couple times a month to stock up on veggies at a great price!! I can get a weeks worth of fresh veggies for $15 to $20! Just stick to veggies though, their fruit selection is too pricey and I think they probably just buy them from the grocery store to expand their inventory.

Run by an awesome couple and a wonderfully kind man. Fresh, beautiful, natural produce. In the summer, they drive up to North Carolina and get fresh apples straight from the orchard. Delicious, freshly roasted coffee beans. Everything is priced on par with the grocery store, even though it is of a much higher quality. One of the locally owned and operated that makes Charleston and the Cannonborough/Elliottborough Neighborhood great. Awesome loyalty program too.

Lady told me I couldnt park there when I was going to the barbershop next to it, the barbershop parking lot was full and the parking spot in front of the veggie bin wasnt. She didnt even have customers until I left. She asked me to park on the street for no reason. Shes just jealous that the barbershop gets way more business than she ever could.
