Overall, I was glad that we were able to get in and out very fast. I wasn’t impressed with the employees just as well as customers not wearing a mask especially with the rise of COVID-19 on a high once again. It just baffles me that the managers haven’t expressed to the employees the importance of wearing their mask for their safety most importantly than anything. They advertise on the doors that if you’re fully vaccinated you have the option to wear a mask or not, but nowadays no one is being truthful about it. So, I pray that they change their tune and reinforce the wearing of the mask until things are resolved.

It was great. I was able to get my grandmother some flowers.I also got some groceries.

Cashier with red blonde hair has a nasty passive attitude. Roll the pic the camera back to 9:05pm tonight and see how she places the items in the bag, then proceeds to pick up her phone, and call someone in between transactions. She has an ear piece on and I could hear her talking through the mask. This isn’t the first time I have experience a cashier talking on the phone while helping customers. This is very distasteful, and I also purchased an item off the shelf that was expired May 2021. I will be calling corporate because this staff focus isn’t on the actual task at hand....customers first not personal conversations.

The cashiers are so rude. This the second time I have been treated badly. She put the hamburger buns, and bread in the bag with canned goods, and rice. She threw the bag in the basket so hard the bag tore. I want be back to this store. You all will lose a lot of customers because of the rude cashiers. Without the customers their wont be a foodlion

Easiest spot to shop. Very cheap stuff. It is not exceptional service and not as big and clean as walmart but it is always the same. In that, you can expect what your going to get. Face masks are not enforced.

This Food Lion on King Street in Charleston is a really good grocery store and one of the few on the Peninsula. I like the location and everything that they have to offer and the deli section really stands out for its delicious and well prepared food. The staff here is really helpful and available to provide assistance when you need it. This is a reliable grocery store.

This is a good store. My wife and I stop theyre often. Theyve got a huge selection and very good prices especially if you use their food Lion card.

FoodLion didnt have any cash in the store at all and I really needed cashback

Its a nice store. They are located downtown off of meeting street. But the parking lot floods when it rains and Ive seen trash everywhere on the outside a few times before. Definitely not somewhere I would shop. Only if its an emergency

I love Food Lion, they were the only store that sold the Willy Wonka Bars. Some of the staff here is to be desired. The staff that do have that great customer service, they dont work them like that. The store is very clean, they run out of my favorite items here lately. Im feeling some type of way.

Clean Store! Great Staff! You will find some of the best prices here and some of the friendliest folks in all of Charleston. The store has been through some management but you can see the positive change that has occurred with the most recent managers. There a new face to the staff everyday which means s growth!

Great Store! Finally got my MVP card. They have paper applications folks. Everyone else make you use that darn machine. They also have an app, and it saved me 3 dollars making my milk .91 cents! Love this store and the people in it. I’m sure that Pamela Kinloch person was talking about the customer service line. Sometimes that long can be very long. Everyone uses them to pay bill and play lottery. Maybe they should get a vending machine for lottery at the location

This was my first and last time here. I had the worst customer service experience. The staff is incredibly rude. Ive never experienced attitudes like this at any food lion. Take your money elsewhere. Just rude. Customer service reps need to understand that youre here for me, not the other way around. Your money comes from the food your customers purchase. Try treating them with respect. Not to mention the parking lot has people just standing around. I didnt feel comfortable or at ease shopping here and I will never come here again.

Terrible produce. Terrible selection. ALWAYS ten minute minimum in check out. I just watched the manager walk up to a register with six people in line, transfer the cashier to an adjacent register, then walk away. Even if there is some corporate excuse for this nonsense, it looks like TERRIBLE customer service. If there are 3 people in each line, open every register. Period.Businesses that refuse to fully staff their establishments deserve to be fined cruel amounts. Staff the store. Hire the community. Lower unemployment numbers. Then, more people in the community can afford more and better products,and your store makes more money.If you want to be IN the community, you should be a PART OF the community...not just a leech.

I happen to know in reference the last review that was posted. This store experienced the same thing everyone else experienced. The trucks they get come from NORTH CAROLINA. There was a hurricane. If their warehouses are shut down because they cannot get trucks out. How do you expect them to have items on their shelves. They are rebuilding just as fast as they can. Have a little patience.

Food Lion of Kings Plaza Charleston address the local community needs. The staff and local managers will always make real time adjustments to meet each and everyone of their customers. Ever since the start of the franchise they have remained loyal to the local area, which kinda makes them a great place for meeting old long lost acquaintances.

It was clean the associates was friendly and helpful meats and produce was fresh. It was handicapped accessible.

Good prices. Mediocre produce, meats. Deli and bakery are substandard. Some organic options. Parking lot is consistently dirty. Staff is typically pleasant. This place consistently stirs up a lot of feelings from the neighborhood. It serves the needs of many, but not all that well.

I live around the corner so its very convenient and cheap prices and the have a great meat department

Glad to know theres food lion here but, unlike Norfolk Virginia, we are missing the packages of Silver Fish (fine tiny white fish) good for fying with flour and eggs for Fish Torta and we look forward theyd find a way to make such Silver Fish available here for our shopping. Good catch for many things though. We enjoy wheeling our cart around.

I like this Food Lion, it has come a very long way since I first visited over 5 years ago. Although the parking lot is a bit sketchy, the staff are pleasant and helpful. The prices are way better than Harris Tetter. Its a clean store and I always get what I need.

Timing is everything at this Food Lion. Shop midmorning and you can be in and out in no time. Otherwise, bring a book to read while you wait. Some of the staff are friendly but dont expect the kind of customer service you get at Publix. I have been a customer since 2001 and have seen the place improve in many ways. I frequently score great deals on meat and ice cream (what more does one need? Ha ha) but wish they would give the cleanliness of the parking lot higher priority. Prices and location mean I will continue to be a regular there.

Just got conned out of $10 by a light handed cashier called manager over she was of no help! I guess they decided to split it at the end of shift. Were in a pandemic people if u needed 10 bucks tht bad all you had to do was ask.

Sometimes too crowded but most of all the employees there are very respectful & friendly

Good Lord. What can I possibly say that will dissuade everyone from the convenience of the only grocery store in the upper peninsula? Well, for starters, dont expect warm and inviting customer service. Secondly, dont expect to grab convenience items quickly as there are never enough open registers and the ones that are open are miserably slow. So, do you need that cheese, bread, veggie, or beer? Usually the answer is no if Food Lion on King is the option. November of 2018 and the WestEdge Publix cannot come soon enough!

Horrible customer service. i once had a cashier there catch the worst attitude with me because i didnt look happy about going back to my car to get my ID. my facial expressions should not dictate your service. (btw my face had nothing to do with her carding me. my son was also throwing a tantrum in the store) she then proceeded to talk junk to me in front of her manager who also didnt care and she threw my pack of cigarrattes towards me. i just grabbed my cigarrettes and said thankyou and walked out. that was a few years ago... i never reported but ill never forget it either. I dont think they care too much about their customers
