I highly recommend Dolphin Cove for dry stack storage, boat maintenance, and top-notch customer service. Deb and Annie take great care of their customers and treat your boat as though it was their own. The dock staff is great and always very helpful. An enjoyable boating experience!
I just started storing my boat here and ALREADY I am impressed. From the time Wyatt and Harrison showed where and helped me park to Harrison showing me around til the time Annie was going over the package and contract, everything was amazing and I look forward to my interaction with them all.
Love this place! A secret treasure of a place that makes charleston still hold onto its unique character. Women owned and run business. Been here for years and dont plan on leaving!
Thankful no matter what they say... We made memories and we hold onto the wonderful moments and the good time. We had found a friend and we laugh for a moment in time with good humors Richard/Dickie shared. The good people we met, the free boat rides we were offered and taken through Ben and Dave. With Vanessa and David, and Mike and others too, we have good ways to say hi! and hello! Annies been a good help in many ways or things she can do, especially the free chocolates my boys love and enjoys grabbing by the front office. The friendly people, the good ones we look closer with a good touch. The memory is unfading, we seem to know we lasts. :) lol Above all, we are super thankful for Mr. Race that we had the privilege to watch the dolphins entertaining us and we catch some shrimps, some fish and some crabs. We were rocked like a baby to sleep and chill, even passers-by were speeding so fast and wabble our boat in daylight and at night. But to have a beautiful boat we stayed for awhile, boy! We couldnt be more grateful we come across the Dolphin Cove Marina and the world had moved us in special clouds and beautiful Southern skies in counting our blessings. Whatever other people may say, we are grateful anyway. We miss being here! We miss the great people we know!
Staff is amazing! Would highly recommend them for any business or personal needs
I love this place. The staff there is all about taking care of their customers and promoting boating. Deb, the owner, is often out on the yard working her tail off and making sure that everything is taken care of.I docked my boat here just a few weeks before a huge hurricane and the staff was very thorough in securing customers boats, communicating with everyone what to expect, and pulling boats out of the water all day long. I have found it very easy to deal with all the people there and the prices are reasonable. Sure the amenities are dated but you can not beat the way Deb and her team run that place. I love having my boat there and would recommend to anyone to use Dolphin Cove. I am a customer for life.
The docks are ok. The clubhouse is beyond run down. Look into the date of your last tetanus shot before using the Showers. Then there is the staff ......... but cheap, and plenty of spots available.
Was looking for a house boat renovation project. Came across a listing on Facebook marketplace. It happened to be the owner who ended up being completely rude. See for yourself (google won’t post conversation). I wouldn’t keep my boat there after reading her Marina’s reviews and dealing with her to conduct a purchase. Proceed at your own risk.Had to update my response to her utter nonsense of being demeaning to women. My response was of genuine surprise that the owner of the Marina was selling the boat. Had nothing to do with being a woman. Not only has she lost a potential customer for life. This will serve as Googles proof of her lack of grip on reality and share with friends for a good laugh about crazy southern Marina owners!Conversation:DebSure! It’s at Dolphin Cove Marina in Charleston. We are open 99-3pm everyday.MeOkay, thanks. Do you work for the Marina?DebI own itMeThe Marina?DebDo I really need to answer that question twice?MeNo, surprised is all.DebWhy?MeNo reason. Awesome marina to store and keep your boat. Great owners and staff
Some of the most kind people I have ever dealt with, a great choice to dock your boat in the Charleston area!
This has to be my all time favorite marina!! Lot attendants deep in siesta on golf carts peppered throughout the lush and lavish landscaping. The club house/ laundry room/bar/weight room are all but a tiny handful of reasons why this is one top notch facility.....That, plus the surly attitude from the locals make it feel extra enchanting... and stupid for asking the wrong questions.Leave any modicum of class you thought you had and drink until your tickets are no moreDolphin Cove - “we don’t care and it shows”
Super Friendly Marina getting lots of upgrades. Our boats second home spot for 25 years. Always accommodating and helpful. Less stress than dealing with the crazies at the local boat landings!
Nice people, great service. Dolphins in the river make it a great place to be.
This marina has a pretty setting. The area is quiet. Its hard to find due to construction but once you do the view is beautiful.
Love this Marina! The staff and owners are very personable, they go the extra mile to give you the best customer service!
Very happy with the service at Dolphin Cove Marina. From the contract signing with Annie, who spoke to me and my wife like she knew us for ever, to watching the forklift driver take the boat off the trailer, who made it look so easy, to the great dockhands that were so helpful. This was our first season at Dolphin Cove, and we will continue returning every season. Great job to the staff of the marina!
We were not trying to work after hours as the below response suggests. One delay staff caused was moving our boat over 10 feet without asking while we were not there, which destroyed the wet paint in 6 places. We were charged for the days we spent fixing it and never got it back to right. We followed all rules and were treated with disrespect. We were also charged over $1000 extra which was applied to another customers bill.If you care about your boat at all do not bring it near Dolphin Cove Marina. Extremely POOR customer service and intentional delays to cause additional storage time and fees - this was acknowledged by the boatyard staff who also agreed the marina is poorly managed. Office manager Annie is a completely incompetent idiot and lied about many aspects of the service and facilities. I cant imagine how they stay open. Hopefully they will go out of business soon and stop ripping off honest customers. I only gave 1 star because it doesnt allow zero.
Weve kept our boats here since 1994. They have been doing a massive amount of clean-up and rebuilding. From what we were told yesterday, theyre also trying to reopen the restaurant. When thats completed and the beer is cold, Ill give it 5 stars!!
Great rates for dry dock storage. Honestly I have never been more happy with the price that we pay for storage at a Charleston Marina. Every time I need to splash the boat I make sure that I give them at least one hour advance notice and my boat is always in the water. The staff is always observant. Sometime I have to come up during my lunch break to put my boat back in the loading area, and there is always a staff member there to assist me in grabbing the lines to cleat onto the dock.Only reason for a 4/5 star rating is that I would like for Dolphin Cove to carry Non-ethanol fuel.I love Annie and the rest of the staff!Keep up the good work!
Awful dry docking experience. The dock hands are inexperienced and you have to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke every time you walk near them. My boat is always covered in grease from them stepping on the fork lift ramp covered in grease then getting on boats. Dont understand why they cant clean up after themselves and be professional about it. The facilities are complete trash not to mention all the trash and boats left out to rot all over the place. The docks have nails sticking up throughout every dock and finger piers. Would never recommend this place to anyone with any size boat. Pay the few extra dollars and go to rivers edge just up the river. Very disappointed in the service and cleanliness of dolphin cove, really has gone downhill in the last 5 years. Good luck.
Service was excellent and everything was timely! Couldnt have been happier. Everyone was on point and communicated everything perfectly. Glad I found them.
Love this place. They are amazing, had a few issues and they took care of them ASAP. Hands down best marina for the money. Wouldnt leave my boat anywhere else. I wish I could comment on the bad reviews, from what I have read they make no sense. I can guarantee they fixed any problems with boat owners. Some people are just bitter no matter what.
Every single person we encountered said hello and acknowledged us. Super nice and friendly people, they answered every question and helped teach me to be a better boat owner
Love it cant for resturant to open
Awesome and friendly staff
My husband, Steven, and I have a boat in drystsck at Dolphin Cove been there since 2011. We have and are very happy with them. They even put up with our English Springier Spaniels. LOL
Enjoyed myself here, would recommend more people enjoy this place.
Poor service and when we finally got our boat back after 3 months and $3200 later she was in worst shape then when she went in. Customer service is poor, i always had to call they never called me when they said they would. Pieces of are boat are broken, seats cracked. Things were not done that were requested on our trailer and boat. When we were called to advise our boat was ready we went to pick it up and it was not on its trailer and we found that the seats had been damaged and when we got home we found that strap for our ladder was broken that had not been previous. ***************** i will never return or suggest*********** i was going to have my wedding vowels redone there at the light house but will no longer being doing that***********
Went fishing. Caught a snapper, crabs and shrimp. 🦀🦀🐟🐟🦐🦐
It was away from everything and quiet... not fancy or anything but had the basic necessities
I took a tour of this marina for consideration of keeping my live aboard sized vessel at their docks, ultimately, I decided against this facility. I have a few observations to share. First, the marina is located in a rather unsightly industrial area near North Charleston, at present its worth noting significant roadworks in and around the location of the marina which has the potential to cause backups and hinder ingress and egress, which occurred during our visit; of course this would be a temporary inconvenience. On the other hand the industrial estates which bookend the marina on the riverfront are constantly in use, smokestacks belching around the clock, in close proximity; this would be a constant companion whilst in residence at this marina. Polluting the air, views and within earshot of the dockage; admittedly, management cant doing anything about the aforementioned realities. However, upon entering the marina one is greated by unkempt grounds, and would be forgiven for wondering if you inadvertently entered a recycling or waste management facility filled with refuse and scrap metals littering much of the open space around the marina.Parking appears to be available on a first come first serve basis, but beware of parking near what appears to be large scrapped vessels. Also, we arrivied after significant rainfall, the drainage was poor and flooded the low lying areas in feet of water. The marina facilities, such as they are, are abysmal. The showers and bathroom are repugnant to the point of being absurd, unusable and thirty years overdue for a total remodel. This bare bones, facility appears to be a relative value choice on paper, especially in comparison with other Marinas closer to downtown Charleston. But, this facility appears to be extraordinarily mismanaged and in dire need of significant investment and improvements to be brought up to anything resembling a reputable marina. In my experience management was dispassionate, uncaring and unprofessional. I would strongly urge anyone considering this facility to go and see the state of disrepair for themselves. I choose another marina and could not be happier to have avioded this sad excuse for a recreational marina. If you are looking for a value, this is not the place. If you are looking for a reputable, well run business just to store your boat, this is not the place. If you are looking for a place to abandoned your boat this facility may be worth considering and would put you in similar company. Protect your investment and hard earned monies and find value elsewhere, as it does not live here.
They understand boaters because they are boaters
Idk its all boatse and stuff I didnt see alot of dolphins
TheThey are amazing and respectful to my family and friends.
I have to say I was hesitant going into this place as it had a few bad reviews and was in very questionable condition to say the least but I decided to give it a try as options were limited in town. But I have to tell you THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! Maybe in all my life! Every single time I interacted with them they did something to my boat and blamed me for it. When I needed service I could only use their technicians which I was told every time they were booked a month out. When I asked them to put it on the trailer so I can fix a few things they charged me extra every time. They left it outside for days and the cuddy cabin had 3 of water in it(which they said I lied about) FYI that was a month ago and its still wet today. Then They put it on the trailer and moved it and drug the prop across the ashpault because they didnt raise the motor and denied it. The boat launch area is so contaminated with oil and grease they got it all over the seats and interior carpet every time they did clean it one time because it was soooo bad...The day I left and check out of this rat hole I found my trailer hitch damaged which she finally claimed responsibility for. And to top it off when I was trying to get my boat out for the last time they said the lift was damaged and couldnt get it on the trailer because they only do that on the weekday! It was a Saturday in December. I finally had to raise cane and the owner said get this guy outta here and lift magically fixed itself! Anyone considering this place do yourself a HUGE favor and steer clear at all costs....it wont be in business much longer at this rate!!!ABSOLUTLY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
