I had been shopping around for someone to take care of my older boat. After making inquiries with about half a dozen different service facilities I decided to give Quickie a try, as they were the only ones that responded in a professional manner. My experience:honest=yes>communication=perfect>work quality=excellent>pricing=fair. I will go back.

I bought a boat that had sit for 14 months. It needed a list of things done to it. Mr Mark got all this stuff done for me and found out other things wrong with the boat and fixed those as well. My dash had a huge hole in it where the original owner had installed there gps. He made it look like it was brand new. To top it all off the boat was ready a couple days before memorial day weekend. I was working all week and couldnt come get the boat. Mr Mark took his own personal time to come meet me Saturday morning when they where closed. I cant thank them enough!! Have since taken the boat out 3 times. It runs amazing!

I needed a handful of things done to my boat. 100 hour service, a little bit of fiberglass work and a general inspection/detailing of the boat were just some of the items. Quickie Marine was recommended to me by a neighbor. I called, Captain Mark answered and we set up a time to walk around the boat. He took good bit of time looking things over with me. He followed up with a timely and fair quote. The work was completed in the stated timeline and she looked and runs great. I read another post here that pretty much sums up Mark and his business style. He treats everyone like gold. Hes honest, fair and does good work. Cant really ask for anything else. I will be a repeat customer.

After my boat set up for 4 years, babies & kids, I pulled it out of storage and wanted to get it running again, but I couldnt find anyone in Charleston willing to work on a 30 Y/O motor. I was recommended Quickie Marine by Oswald Propeller, who Ive done much business with in the 14 years I worked with boats, and per usual it was solid information. I called and talked to Mark, he had me bring the boat in so he could look at it, I had a quote back in a week. I couldnt believe he was even able to find all the old parts for my motor, much less many OEM parts in 1 week! The boat was back running in record time, given most of the parts had to be ordered on EBay, and other online sites. With really unbelievable service and more than fair pricing, especially in the Charleston area, I would recommend QM to everybody.

Brought my boat in for some fiberglass repair to the front of my boat. Received a date to bring it in and dropped it off. Received a phone call and text message with pictures of a full hull inspection and they located additional damage that required a repair. It was quite a few areas that required repairs. Two weeks later I was pulling my boat home. Fiberglass work was stunning. Quote was good and the work was completed as stated. No BullS**t here. Just good Fiberglass work.

I had an oyster bed do a number on the bottom of my hull, bow to stern. Mark and his team repaired the gelcoat. While evaluating the repair, I could not tell where the existing gelcoat ended and the repair began. Beautiful transition, smooth, color matched perfectly (white). 2 thumbs up, great price!

Talk about the hand of fate, I just happen to meet Quickie Marine mechanic Chris at California Dreaming on the water a couple of weeks ago. We started chatting about him being a mechanic at Quickie and I proceeded to tell him about an issue I was having with my Honda marine engine overheat light coming on. Ironically, when we left the restaurant my overheat sensor started going off which had never happened before. I called Chris the next day and he said to bring it by that day if I could. I did and they immediately pulled it in and started diagnosing the issue. He was just finishing with another Honda engine so he took mine right in and started working on it. After discovering the engine wasnt overheating, they diagnosed it to something else and eventually it solved the problem. They had my boat for about a week and a half but only because we were waiting on the part to come in. I just picked my boat up 2 days ago and havent put it in the water yet but Im sure it will run like a top. They even went further and replaced some seals that were worn and were upfront on what they discovered with my engine prior to doing work. I really appreciated the top level service I got from both Chris and Mark. Mark kept me apprised regularly on what was going on with my boat even after normal business hours. They are great couple of guys and have earned not only my business but 2 of my friends business as well. I would highly recommend Quickie Marine for not only quick service but for good quality work!Mitch F.

After just one phone call, Mark picked up my boat, repaired it and even cleaned it without me asking. Service was top notch and fast. He even finished it before the estimated date, and that is never heard of in the boating repair world. Mark is professional on every level. For all these reasons and more, I have recommended Quickie Marine to 3 other friends and they have all been very satisfied. Give them a call. You will not be disappointed.

I was a boat owner in South Florida for a decade. It has been a while since I have been on the water, and new to the Charleston waterways..I picked up a small runabout, and my experience has taught me that the first thing you procure after you procure the boat, is the best mechanic you can find.Luckily for me, Quickie Marine was recommended, and I have to say that Mark and Chris have been 100% helpful, accurate, reliable and spot on in their service and assistance.I would never think of taking my runabout to anyone else in Charleston. Thanks for everything Quickie Marine!!!

Very reasonable and got my boat bay in 1 day. Cant beat the service and honesty!!! (UPDATE: Just took a second boat and again super fast great quality workmanship) The Ceremtech coating that they just did on a Key West is unbelievable. Definately going to do it to my boat soon. No more waxing, how can I say no to that.). I picked first boat up on a Thursday and they called the following Monday to make sure everything is correct after running the boat over the weekend. Capt. Mark came and picked my boat at my house, performed engine service, fixed my trailer, and had my boat returned back to me same day. He even cleaned the boat and took the mildew build up off my cushions. The work is good, quick, and priced fairly. Im used to waiting 2-3 weeks to have my boat turned around for standard engine service in the winter. Same week service, let alone same-day service is unheard of, and thats what these guys do. I will take my boat back to these guys every time, and recommend them to anyone I know. If youre tired of the same old lazy and overpriced approach to marine service work in this city, give these guys a try, you wont be disappointed.

My wife and I inherited a boat from her grandfather, but it hadnt been ran in three years. We finally got it to Charleston and I started to try things on my own like changing the battery, spark plugs etc and I immediately got in over my head. I got my phone out and Mark at Quickie Marine was the second and last person I called. He said bring it over. With in 24 hours Mark called me with a price quote of what was needed to get me running. I immediately trusted Mark. Other than the engine work Quickie Marine re-wired my boat, installed a fuel tank with fuel gauge, installed a new fish finder, repacked bearings on the trailer, and gave her a bath. Mark kept me updated the entire time and completed everything faster than expected. Mark and Quickie Marine have a good thing going

My Daughter brought her boat here to get repaired and all they did was give her problems and false hope. We tried to call and rectify this situation but then all they gave us was more lies and more false hope. I would highly suggest you or anyone else to go somewhere else. I ended up having her take the boat out of there and bring it somewhere else. They also sold and installed her a stolen motor. More expense on our side for nothing. It got to the point where they would not even return calls. In our opinion beware beware beware.Hard to do business with people who are irresponsible and have no word.

It is rare that I write a bad review, but since we have this power as consumers, I think this time it is a viable choice and it is a bad review deserved. By far the worst experience of my life, after purchasing my first boat in Charleston, I hired Quickie Marine to come pick up my boat to fix numerous of things. Mark the Owner and his Mechanic Micheal came to pick up my boat Jan 11th of 2017, Charged me for inspection which was over 13 things that need to be done. Took 3 months to find a fiberglass contractor. By April 20th my transom was completed so continued giving payments to what I thought was a trust worthy owner and great establishment. After week after week of personal excuses, then telling me that Ive only paid for parts I continued making payments towards my invoice. By The end of June Mark the owner assured me my boat would be done by July 4th, to give him some time cause he is having issues with his mechanic on choosing which jobs he would like to perform on and which jobs he has been paid for already. After multiple visits passing by the shop my boat was still standing in the same location outside with no tarp (I provided shop with tarp and seat cover). I can get into multiple details of what horrible customer service and Poor work ethic has been at this establishment. It is very frustrating to continue getting the runaround and paying what you think is a reliable shop over $6000 and only one thing was resolved (My transom, and still had in-completed fiberglass). After purchasing a rebuilt motor that was never under the shops name and owing back taxes should give you a little bit of my nightmare glimpse of the nightmare I am in. After 8 months of having my boat, all you sold me was an incomplete and dangerous motor that would have cause me to be left stranded and even killed for missing part, lose headbults, gas leaks, disconnected steering, the incorrect motor controls, blown powerhead, etc. I shouldn’t have fallen for your nice guy act, and never paid in advance. Dont understand how you are still in business, I would run from this shop!!!
