Walked into their showroom on 2/18 at approximately 3:00 and was greeted by the receptionist who referred me to a salesman. I dont recall his name but he had little interest in selling me a boat. I guess he was having a great month as he showed little enthusiasm in selling me a boat.He couldnt get me out of his office fast enough.I bought my boat elsewhere and I would advise anyone else to do the same.

Terrible experience. Broker Sean Kelly had a boat listed for sale. We contacted him and he told me it was in excellent shape. We agreed on price and I made a deposit. My broker flew down from Maine to inspect the boat and have a survey done. He arrived to find the boat a complete disaster. It had never been registered and there was so much growth on the hull that the twin tabs didnt work - there were actual oysters growing on it! It was advertised as having 130 hours - it actually had 190 hours. The engines had never been serviced - at all. They were a mess. I wasted $1500 because this guy couldnt get off his backside and actually do his job. Absolutely terrible.

Karl Anderson sold me my Scout 195 recently, he is the man! Made the process very clear and easy, I can recommend Karl 100%!

Left my boat for service a month ago (July 7th) for pick up tomorrow (Sept 1). Received a phone call today (Aug 31) at 4:33, we didnt get the parts today. Service department had the boat for almost a month. What level of professionalism is that?! Interested in what compensation will be offered. Thought I would be fishing day after tomorrow. Hmmm, well see,....NOW FOR THE REST OF THE STORY,....in short, Jason and Clay made it right. No problems since! They are always willing to work with you and Brain Storm options to get any problem fixed as soon as possible. You have to go into it with an understanding that all Marine service centers have a Lean staff and its the boating season. They have restored my trust and confidence and I highly recommend this Team.

If you are buying a boat look no further than Marine Max. From the initial phone call with Laura Ricard at the Columbia store to the final delivery at the Charleston store it has been perfectly flawless. Thank you Matt Peebles for a flawless and informative boat delivery (Boston Whaler 250 Outrage) and the follow up since!Thank you Ron for your amazing service with the trailer and when we had a minor trailer malfunction (during a hurricane evacuation) you were there for us and got Wesco at our boat to fix our issue the next morning!Thank you Laura for being so professionally amazing and sweet to work with regarding financing and the trade of my tritoon.I am so excited to have bought my boat from Marine Max and that it will be my boat dealer for life as my experience with Cove2Coast was horrible.

My wife bought her Scout from there. We recently hit a tree stump and messed up the prop. We keep the boat dry docked at Daniel island marina so we do not have a trailer. The incident happened up at lake moultrie and thats where the boat still was. We wanted MarineMax to do the work. Unfortunately, they would not offer any way to help us get the boat back from the lake. Yes they would fix it but getting the boat to them and then back to the marina was on us to figure out. Feeling distraught about the lack of effort on there part, especially since we were a customer, I went across the street to Longshore.They went up to the lake and picked up our boat. When they are done fixing it, they will take it to the marina for us. Yes there is a fee for that, which I totally expected. At least we have some piece of mind knowing our boat is back here.Dont think we will visit MarineMax again.
