Ive been using Lloyd Tire for many years for many of my vehicle maintenance needs. Theyre great people and do great work! I recently got a flat tire and it wasnt repairable. I shopped around and Lloyd Tire had the best prices on a direct replacement for the tire. They give the same great pricing to all their customers. They also have a great service protection plan and road hazard warranty. I expect Ill be back to Lloyd Tire when my other 2 tires are ready to be replaced too!

I looked around at a lot of places for tires on my Subaru. Lloyds want the least expensive but was able to get the tires in stock and get me an appointment in 24 hours. They look great and they didactic great job. Would recommend them to anyone.

I took my car to Lloyd’s for a simple oil change and was pleased with my dealings with them. My tires were rotated as part of this at no extra charge. I was told that my back brakes will need replacing in 5000 to 10000 miles. It’s nice to have advance notice. Overall l was happy with my experience at Lloyd’s.

They kept great records from the previous car owner, gave me copies, and transferred the records over to my name. They had a lot of work going on but worked me in. My daughter took her car there to have the brakes fixed and they did an awesome job. We had taken it elsewhere and they were unable to do it and these guys did it in a timely manner for a fair price. Ive been using Lloyds since moving to Chapel Hill 10 years ago. I always feel comfortable interacting with the front desk. Ive never felt like they were giving me the female treatment. Their cost is fair and they never use pressure sales tactics. More than once they have squeezed my car in to fix a slow leak in a tire or get an oil change before a long road trip. I highly recommend them to anyone for all your car service needs.

I have asked several times about having brake pads/ tires replaced and have been deferred because they were not yet needed. Helps too that Flyleaf books and Root, as well as several shops, are right across the street, so you can keep busy if waiting. Their friendly shop dog is ready to welcome you too!

Great experience. We noticed Lloyd Tire was near my daughter’s apartment when we dropped her off at UNC. I noted their name and location in case she had issues with her new used car. Sure enough, I got a call that oil was dripping underneath the car. It was significant. I sent her to Lloyd Tire with no knowledge of their brand or reputation. They quickly solved the problem at a very reasonable price, and have earned my trust. Thanks to the Lloyd Tire team for helping a father remotely manage his daughter’s situation and get her vehicle back on the road.

Super nice people here! I just needed a hitch to be off my car, asked for tool or help on it... Management had a young mechanic do it for me, free (cuz I have gray hair? :) .. I gave him a big tip.

I am not completely sure how I feel about this place. When I made my appointment, the woman I spoke with was very nice and seemed helpful. When I got there, it just seemed like the normal “men trying to tell you things like you don’t know anything.” All I wanted was an inspection. I was not familiar with the tint laws in NC (because I have registered this vehicle in three other states with no issue). They tried to tell me that mine was 21% and asked if I was from Florida. I said Georgia, where the legal limit is 32% (vs NC’s 35% - VA is the same, where I am currently registered). I also told them that it was put on by an GA officer at the legal limit. They just ignored me and said that they could recommend a removal service, which could cost $300-400 and would be the same price as a ticket. Obviously, while I was there I didn’t have all of the information on percentages by state or know that I could request for recalibration of their machine. I also didn’t know that on 12/1/2021 the tint portion of the inspection will be removed from NC legislature and none of this will matter, and only realized that I didn’t even need this inspection for my initial registration in NC, after re-reading NCDMV’s confusing website. So, I took the fail and went home feeling overwhelmed, noticing all the MUCH DARKER tint on the cars around me and wondering how they got registered if mine was so low… I am hoping that this place just made an honest mistake and that I am solely responsible for messing up my ability to register my car in a timely manner by trying to do the right thing, but some of the evidence says otherwise.

I drove 5 hours to go to this mechanic because my friend swears by them and they didnt let me down! Great service, very friendly, and able to identify the issue with my car in record time. They suggested some other maintenance but I never felt pressured to accept. Everything was very up-front, including prices. I recommend!

Lloyds is hands down the best place to take your car for tires and maintenance. Honest and professional. I wont take my vehicles anywhere else. They are the best.

Have had my vehicle serviced regularly at Lloyds for 5 1/2 years, always to my satisfaction and at a reasonable cost. When something arises between oil changes, tire checks, etc. -- either a minor or major problem -- it has been handled efficiently, promptly, and courteously (and so is the required annual vehicle inspection). I recommend the above business as experienced, trustworthy, and reliable.

Lloyds has become my go-to mechanic in the . When I first moved here 4 years ago, I tried several other shops in town. Lloyds has been the most communicative, the most consistent, and always very professional. I never feel like theyre trying to push extra work or services on me. Fantastic service. I had blown two tires avoiding a deer on Saturday. I called the shop Monday Am at 730am. They had me fixed up and out of there by 330p same day. David Was awesome and Zeus and Alex made the day go by quickly. Would give 10 stars.

I got fed up with the ‘laundry lists’ of expensive repairs I was getting from taking my car to the dealership for maintenance. I decided to look for a local service garage that I could trust. Word of mouth led me to Lloyd’s Tire. I’ve never needed anyone else. They are friendly and courteous and have never been condescending to me (and my ignorance of all things mechanical). They schedule appointments quickly and at very reasonable times. They have maintained and repaired several of my cars over the years and have even fixed my lawnmower tires. These people do it right.

This establishment is very friendly and knowledgeable about tires. The installation of the tires went smoothly from my initial contact to the installation took two days. While I have had the tires a short time, they give a smooth ride.

Ive lived within walking distance of Lloyds and have used them for basic car work for years. They have always been professional, honest, and on-time. Out of all the work they have done for me, I had a problem once (oil bolt was dripping) and they immediately got me in, redid the entire oil job, got the bolt put in correctly and gave me oil absorber for my driveway! I love Lloyds and would recommend them to anybody.

I have nothing bad to say about these guys and all the praise. I drive electric so I have only needed Tires, dmv inspections, brakes so far but their friendly punctual service makes them an easy local choice for our cars.

I trust Lloyd Tire to do work to high standards of quality at a reasonable cost. I have never had them try to “up sale” me a service that I didn’t need. They keep a record of what they have done in the past and maintain my car to my satisfaction and safety.

Lloyd Tire has always given me honest, reliable service. When I called to make an appointment to replace my expensive Micheline tires, they recommended a less expensive brand (Continental) that performs as well as my old Michelins. None of the other tire dealerships had done that in the past. Lloyd Tire also did an ignition tuneup and fuel injection service along with a complete check of belts, hoses, and fluids since my car has 107K miles. My car is running so well, it is purring! The car was done when promised and no surprise charges. They treated me well and Ill definitely be going back there! Im very pleased with their service and highly recommend them.

I was traveling from Goldsboro to Greensboro and got a flat tire and needed a new one, they didn’t have any openings, but Dave called around to see if he could find a place that could. He couldn’t find one so he figured out a way to fit me in and get me the tire I needed. I waited less than a hour and made it home safely 🙂. Thanks Dave and Lloyd Tires!!!!

When it comes to having to bring your car in for work everyone rolls their eyes and would rather avoid it like the dentist. Worries about the cost, if the mechanic is being honest and how long the repairs will take are common. And thats because, in my experience people get taken advantage of all the time. So its natural to not trust a mechanic. This is not the case with Lloyds. These guys are honest, fair and do a solid job. Ive literally sat in their waiting area and seen, first hand the owners themselves listen to people who have been told they need copious amounts of work done by other garages and tell them no, we looked at it and you dont all that work.I was in there just last week and a woman came in because her back window wouldnt raise. She was upset because she driving to Alabama that weekend, and obviously didnt want to take that trip with an open window the whole way. The shop was swamped and couldnt help at the moment but the owner didnt just reccomend other places she could bring it to, he actually called around for her to see if a competitor could help. This is the kind of service you get at Lloyds. Trust me. Bring your car to them the next time you need service. Theyre the best.Follow up.Just brought my car in for an oil change. Super fast, they inspected the car while it was up. Found nothing wrong and I was on my merry way in no time! Thanks guys!
