I was a customer at Air and Space self storage from August 2018 until September 2021. Amazing customer service; Adrian and his team always provided clear and timely communication and were responsive to inquiries. Additionally, the facility was formerly a brewery so not only is it temperature controlled but unlike other local climate controlled storage, Air and Space self storage has low humidity; ideal for individuals storing high value metallic objects or items that can develop rust or corrosion. In the 3 years I had metallic items stored here, no rusting occurred.Why 3 stars? The primary reason for a mediocre rating and my departure was that the exit gate has been broken for 6 months (as of September 2021). While I recognize this can be expensive to fix for a business, it’s the only layer of security between the street and the items in your unit (based on the layout and design of the facility). For some customers, this may not be a big deal, but I prefer a facility that had a little more standoff and security. I’m sure corporate just doesn’t want to incur the likely 5 figure repair/replacement cost; a fair decision that I respect. However, the lack of action has cost them my continued business. This is a great facility and I hope to come back in the future if repairs are made and ongoing maintenance costs do not deter the owners from necessary upkeep.

I think self storage plus is ok in most ways except the rental price keeps going up and up I am finding it may be more affordable to purchase my own storage building . I currently am renting a 10 x 5 climate controlled unit and. Since I started renting a little over a year ago the price has gone up nearly 65% at this rate before long I will be forced to find an alternative source of storage over a thousand dollars a year is too high .

I have been a tenant for almost two years and have been very pleased with my unit and the location. The manager, Adrian is very friendly and accommodating and is always helpful with any questions I have - all of the staff are professional. I upgraded to two units and am happy with everything! Definitely recommend for long-term storage as well as short-term.

I had a storage unit with Air & Space for several years and they KEPT INCREASING MY RENT. I went from $175.00 to $305.00. My rent increased every 6 months. I NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT. I called to complain was told the reason they were increasing my rent was because they had a lot of people not paying their rent and it was a business decision.When I gave my 30 day notice to remove my belongings, I looked at their website and they were offering my exact storage unit for $175.00.I had to ask myself, What kind of business increases the payment of a loyal customer but will offer a lower rent to someone else?I REFUSE TO DO BUSINESS WITH SOMEONE LIKE THIS!

I have used Air and Space Self Storage for several years now. Their staff is courteous, supportive, and professional. The facility is clean and climate controlled. Access to the facility and lockers are very accessible. I highly recommend this place for short or long term storage needs.

Renter beware, this place is a rip off! The rental prices have increased TWICE IN LESS THAN 6 MONTHS for a total increase of $23/mo just this year (that is almost $300/year in additional costs). I find this completely unacceptable and have decided to move elsewhere! We originally chose Air and Space Storage because of its reasonable prices and convenient location, but In the 3 years that we have been here, our storage cost have almost doubled for a small 5x10 unit. I will sacrafice location for a resonably priced unit.

Nothing terrible and nothing especially positive. They have carts at every door which is handy if people put them back when theyre finished. Clean inside. The entrance gates work, most of the time, and if theyre not theyre just left open. The keypad at the exit is lower than the entrance one. Its hard to reach even from a regular sized SUV. Expect 5 to 10% rent increases EVERY year no matter how good of a tenant you may be by not paying late or other problems, nor how low inflation is. They always have rising costs, so they say. Itd be nice if they had a trash dumpster for their tenants, but the one they have is not to be used by tenants.

We rented a mid-size unit for about three years, then were able to downsize to a smaller unit. They made the process very smooth for us. Within a couple hours, we had the change on our account and moved our possessions to the new unit. The building is well maintained and I like that they play some classic rock music! Thanks for taking good care of our stuff!

Horrible, I became homless and had to put all my stuff in storage. I didnt get 26 weeks of unemployment ! I got the special 130 a month. Late fees after 5 days of 30 to 50 bucks. Now they send me a letter saying they will no longer honer our contract and is raising the rent on everyone to 160. Now if i didnt honer rhe contract id be paying fees and going to court. I’ve been with Air and Space Storage, Chantilly, VA for many years. They are very professional, helpful, clean inside and out, spacious and keep units at good temperatures. Fees are reasonable and do not continuously increase the monthly fees.

So much cheaper than other storage facilities in the area. Its very safe and clean. The staff are absolutely wonderful. Im glad I found this place and plan to keep my stuff there for a long time. I highly recommend it!

Front desk guy was less than enthusiastic or pleasant. All about what you can’t do there. I guess they must have had a bunch of bad experiences, but his demeanor put me off. Units were ok. No power available in any of the units.

Clean and well maintained. Front desk helpful with questions. Carts inside doors long enough to handle your goods hauling in or out that will fit in the trunk and backseat of a standard medium size sedan type car. Outside of the three month intro promo at the time, rate increased only less than 10 percent after the first year. No issues so far.

I have stored items for myself and my family for many years at Air & Space Self Storage on Lee Rd. I have always had great service there. The inside is kept very clean and the doors on the units have always worked well - no sticking or springs broke, etc. like other facilities in the area. When a spring is broke and goes without fixing the door, even on a 10 x 10 unit can be very heavy for a middle aged to older person to lift. I have never experienced that problem here. Additionally I have never had flooding here with inside or outside (drive-up) units like unfortunately I experienced at other local facilities. Additionally the staff has always been top notch. The current Property Manager, Adrian Drumea is always attentive, friendly and helpful. Thank you for all your help when needed.S. Marsh

We rented an indoor 5x10 space here for 18 months. It was overall a good experience. We got a great introductory rate for 6 months when we moved in and it went up after that but was still reasonable. We had access anytime we needed it (1-2 times per month), there were never any issues with having carts available. Our only complaint was lack of pro-rating when we left only 8 days into the month which is why I am not giving it 5 stars.

The facility is quite secure, the hours of accessibility are great and every part of the entire facility is always very clean.

This storage facility is nice...for a storage facility. What is maddening is they give you two or three days to pay before you get an outrageous late fee and a lock on your unit. Yes, I know I should pay on time and that is my problem. But every email they send never comes with a working link and I have to go to the website and log in that way. My first world problems are just that, but hey, you asked my opinion...I still stand by this review.

It is a safer and cheaper place to store extra items.

8/2020 Edit: This was the second time Ive used this facility. I was originally at another place because of the lower costs, but the no climate control in the units and bugs was enough to get me to leave them and come back here. I dont regret it all! Same level of service as before, easy access and clean storage, plus climate control so all of your stuff stays protected like those electronics. :)Great customer service. Easy access and clean storage. Highly recommend.

I have now been with Air and Space for about 4 years and my experience with Tommy and Susan as well as Jason and the rest of the staff has been absolutely positive.They are committed to excellence and display pride in their work. For me to be running a business out of that warehouse is like having an employee on site. They promptly alert me of my UPS delivery and make sure I can get to it on time. We also have access to clean restroom. It is great to have ample space for my delivery truck. They occasionally comment about how easy it is to maneuver around the parking lot.I like it and would highly recommend it.Doric Caron

Air and Space Storage was one of the best customer service experiences Ive ever seen. On June 30th I was suppose to do a long distance move. My moving company didnt show up, but I still had to leave. I came to Air and Space Storage late in the day, and they were able to get me a unit right away. I told them my situation (I needed a place to put my things until I could arrange for another company to move them). They helped me pay the lowest possible rate, knowing my things would be there for less than a month. I was finally able to coordinate to get a Upack cube and I hired some movers. Air and Space let me put my Upack in a parking spot, and leave it there the three days that it took to have the movers come, pack the cube, and have the distributors come and move the cube again. They were incredibly polite over the phone. My parents were there to oversee the move (because I already had moved) and Air and Space helped coordinate with everyone. They made a logistically hellish process incredibly efficient and put my nerves at ease. Additionally, their units and facility were incredibly clean. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs a safe place to put there things.

Beware - This location has roof water Leaks- stay away from this place. Management has hide the fact that they have roof leaks, even admitted they have the leaks but fails to notify their clients when this happened so they can check on your unit. They will not even work with you on the damages as it is all on your insurance policies. Stay away from this place if you do not want your items damaged.

Be very careful with this storage facility in regards to renting units on parking spaces. Passivity will attempt to charge fees and penalties upon moving out and then apply lies and mis understanding into your file in regards to storing items of other units.Not a very good business to do business with
