Extremely happy with the service I received from the shop thus far. Tim was very knowledgeable of all the details for the suspension lift, tire installation, alignment, and process. Reasonably priced parts were ordered and came in as expected less than a week and they were able to get me on the schedule immediately and had it all done within a day and a half just in time for a trip to the OBX. They had no problems installing the rims, tires, and quick disconnects that I had already revived from online orders, which is normally frowned upon at other shops. I love the work that was done and it has performed flawlessly on the beach and drives smooth as butter on the highway. After searching for a place that was knowledgeable on working on a trucks with lift kits I came across HiTech Auto and after reading their reviews from other customers it encouraged me to drive an hour and 1/2 to give them a shot. Due to my demanding career, travel time and their operational hours, for the first time ever, I dropped my truck off utilizing a night drop without actually meeting or previously knowing the techs. My truck is on a 6inch lift, with over 200k miles, buts its a V8* Toyota Tundra known for being bullet proof as long as the right techs keep things running smooth. Originally the Toyota dealer quoted me $3,333 to do a steering rack replacement, but after receiving a call Raul the next morning I actually had leaking shocks, valve cover gaskets, worn control arms amongst a few recommended service maintenance items. Fast forward to returning the truck a couple times for normal wear and tear items and repairs, each time Raul and his team has gone above the call of duty to ensure that I was in good hands. My truck now drives better than ever! Although the travel time to their shop is a bit brutal for me, their knowledge and efforts to earn the customers satisfaction is worth every mile it takes to get there. It was my first time bring commercial truck in for Safety inspection. They were very helpful, in letting me know what inspections were needed for a truck that size. They were timely in getting it done. And were able to repair a couple of items, to make sure the truck passed inspection. I look forward to returning next year for the annual inspection.

I have taken my Xterra down to High Tech for a while now. Theyve done everything Ive asked, from the mundane to the custom. I had them install my custom lift kit, pieced together by me, complete with light welding on the frame for the remote reservoir mounts. When the threaded inserts in the frame spun loose from work I was doing they came to my rescue with a custom fix. Recently I had them install new diff gears in both differentials and couldnt be happier with the results. They have no problem dealing with my armor and aftermarket bumpers and are happy to tackle any issue I bring in to them. I recommend them to all my friends. You cant go wrong with the quality of the service and professional attention you get at High Tech Auto!

Weve been getting our lifted Xterra serviced here for years and its one of the few places wed trust to do the complicated stuff. Labor costs are a bit high but you definitely get what you pay for, especially if you have a lifted truck. They are also super accommodating if you ask them to tackle a weird project or letting you bring your own parts in. Very honest business and everyone there is so friendly!

I did trust you guys because you have such a good recommendation on the website.But I am very disappointed and frustrated now, because my Jeep still has same problems and I had to pay more than $600, including number of Uber rides. You had my Jeep for three days total, but you couldn’t fix it right.I don’t know what I should do now.

Best place I have found, they worked on my lifted truck and were very honest by not tacking on things that didnt need to be fixed and understood what I can physically fix myself and told me I could replace the rear shocks myself basically talking themselves out of more money from me. They were also on time or early and very convenient white drop offs and pick ups. Also Tim is an amazing employee!!!

From the time I walked in with my new 2018 Jeep JL Rubicon Unlimited and worked with Joey I knew it would be a great experience. It is clear Joey really knows what he is doing and knew about differences with the new JL model. He was very helpful walking the vehicle and talking about what I wanted, finding options with some aftermarket JL items, especially with those not in stock at some places and even managed to get MOPAR parts in a short period of time that initially we were getting an undefined period of time it could take to get in given the new JL model year. Joey also made me solid quality recommendations that saved me money which was even more appreciated. From the time we started moving forward, ordering parts, doing the work, and finishing up the communication was absolutely fantastic and top notch. Also, throughout all of this Susan up front was unbelievable. She was extremely responsive, kept on top of everything, and always ensured I was kept up to date. She has just an incredible customer service focus and a wonderful personality and attitude that really adds to the overall experience and managing the process. Also, just loved to hear the excitement and passion she has for her job and learning. On top of all this, the owner also came out and thanked me for the business when I picked up my Jeep. By no means a requirement but clearly, he sets the tone and example there and it shows, I greatly appreciated him doing so. My appointment was at 8am and they took me very promptly at 8am.Would highly recommend if you have a modified off-road vehicle (or any vehicle for that matter) and need work done!

It was great to work with these guys out our Sportsmobile. They did the most through job out of anyone we’ve ever taken it to, to ensure things were in great working order. It’s a very complicated conversion RV/camper van with a ton of customizations from two previous owners. They were able to troubleshoot some very difficult electrical issues that ran throughout the van.

Tim and Raul were top-notch when it came to professionalism and customer-service. They took the time to explain the repairs and modifications that were being done, much appreciated on my part. I’ve used high tech twice now. First was to install skid plates on my lifted Tacoma TRD Off Road. I ordered the skid plates from a 3rd party. High tech was happy to install and reroute exhaust as needed. Other places refused to install unless they sold the items. High tech not only accommodated, but did a stellar job with the install. Second visit was for a road force balance with alignment. My lifted Taco finally drives straight with no vibration!Couldn’t be happier with their service!

(I am running a Rough Country 6 inch lift) After talking to Joe about possibly upgrading my wheel setup. Joe gave me some great insight about my truck and gave me some really great information to take home with me for some additional reading. Needless to say I told Joe I would be back in the spring for some new wheels and tires. So I showed up in a few weeks ago and having decided on the black Fuel Cleavers 20x12s and Nitto Ridge Grappler 37x12.5s, I am one happy man. I found High-Tech Auto a little over a year ago and what captured me as a customer from Day 1 was Susan at the front desk. I tow a large boat. I’ve used Hi-Tech twice in the last five years to upgrade the suspension and lighting on my Sequoia. Air bag assists in the rear, heavy duty shocks, and Rigid spot and flood lights front and rear. Their work has been first-class. Clean, smart, durable. I like all the people I’ve dealt with. They are friendly, responsive, and they know their stuff. It’s a bit of a drive from Arlington, but well worth the trip to get the work done right.

Excellent all-around service center and 4x4 specialist.I worked with Eliot to install a suspension replacement and lift for my GX470. This truck has an airbag system that makes the work more complicated, and High-Tech was able to easily handle all the details of converting from the original system and installing a full suspension and new wheels/tires. They also did a very thorough evaluation of the vehicle and noticed several issues that my previous mechanic missed.Eliot was on top of the issues that popped up including a part that did not get shipped that caused a several day delay.Highly recommended.

I think Ive probably only written about 2-3 reviews in my life, but felt that I needed to post one as these guys go above and beyond...I had originally stopped in about a month ago to look at putting in a new suspension on my high mileage 2003 4Runner and Eliot walked me through a number of packages at different prices, with no pressure at all. When I was finally ready to move forward, I called Eliot back, he remembered me, was able to pull my file, order the parts, and walked me through the whole process. Total install was done in a day.Joey was the mechanic that did the original diagnostic, looked over the truck and did the install. He was fantastic and even stayed after hours to answer my questions in the parking lot about the new setup.Plus they have great coffee, and candy in the lobby! What more could you want...

I had brought my 2001 7.3 in running like complete garbage last week. I made it clear that I didn’t have an endless pocket but would like to use Hi-Tech based on all the good reviews. Hi-Tech exceeded my expectations 10x over in the best way possible! They called me after diagnosis, explained what was wrong all around and then respected my request to only do what was needed to get it running. I assumed it would take at least a week to get it fixed to my surprise, they had it done in 2 hours! Hi-Tech, you’ve gained another loyal customer!

Thanks again Susan, Carl and everyone else at High-Tech! My family has been with High-Tech since around the time they opened up & were High-Tech 4 x 4. Id gone to a couple of other auto centers (years ago), but High-Tech Auto & Truck Center beat out their competitors every time, hands down! Ive sent people to them, havent heard any complaints! Actually, I have used other auto centers, like when a 10+ year old autos alternator gave out and was on vacation! Also, when I lived out of state... Otherwise, High-Tech Auto & Truck Center has been the automotive center for my familys vehicles, is presently & will be well into the future! They are much like family. With a friendly staff, the use of male and female mechanics, good service, in keeping you up to date regarding your vehicles disposition (email, phone, text message, etc.), having a shuttle service, a night key drop, great work & warranties; in sending out reminder service texts and emails; mailings with discounts, in the sending of Christmas cards = that additional personal touch... whats not to like or want?

Had my 3 ready lift installed on my 2018 Ram 2500z Eliot was my rep and he was great. Had my truck in and out in a day, even with shipping getting slightly delayed. I had to change my appointment due to work, and Eliot was able to accommodate my schedule and get me in as soon as I returned from over seas. I will be going back to them for any work I need done.

This shop is absolutely amazing! I had a manifold bolt shear off into the head... Robert and his team were able to remove my manifold, remove the bolt, and reinstall my manifold with new fasteners, all for $409. Dropped off at 8am, UPS delivered my new bolts at 2pm, I delivered them to Robert around 3pm, and had my car back before 4pm. Outstanding service, and a good friendly team of knowledgeable Techs.Ill be returning with my own vehicle for a camshaft install, and my wifes for all general maintenance from here on. Overall great experience working with High Tech Auto.

High Tech is really amazing, especially Hugh (adviser) and Frank (tech)! I had my Jeep towed there yesterday at 2, and it was ready for pickup at 5! They took the time to show me all the wiring and other work that they did. And at a great price. This was my third visit to High Tech, and I wont take my Jeep to anyone else.

-No ball park prices over phone.-No walk-in so somebody can look at your truck, only with appointment.-No appointments after 12PM-Closes at 6:00PM-Not open on weekends.I mean really..... Its like I have to take off the whole day just for an appointment. Regular person here working from 9-5, takes about an hour to get back from DC.Nice staff, I guess.

I had gotten a 3 lift at another local 4x4 performance shop in Alexandria and was not too happy with the results. (Out of alignment, lopsided etc) A week of my 4runner sitting in the lot and not much happening. This is when I went to Google and looked for a more professional company. High Tech was the answer! *** Five Stars*** all around. From the start I could see I was dealing with a different company. The front desk, Susan and Robert were both super polite and expedited things along. High Tech found 3 issues that the other performance shop seemed to miss/made mistakes on when installing the lift. Long story short, I was out the door within a few hours and with a smile! The price was very reasonable. I think the shop has 6 bays and many mechanics. On top of that they have a nice clean waiting room with free bottled water and soda, a little thing but all around added to a good experience. I drove a little extra to get out to High Tech from Washington DC, and it was well worth it. I just wish I had gone to them first. Thank you again. I will look forward to having a CBI front bumper installed this winter.

Its a Christmas Miracle! If you need service for any type of motor vehicle, High-Tech is the place to go to. Carl, Robert and the entire team at High-Tech have been nothing short of outstanding every time any of my vehicles go to their shop. Most recently they were able to identify and fix a heating issue on my 2012 Wrangler that Jeep has been trying to fix, unsuccessfully, for 5 & 1/2 years! The heat is still working guys, and I cannot thank you enough for taking the time that you did to diagnose, fix and test the fix before you returned the Jeep back to me. Its hard to find a good shop these days, let alone a shop with customer service. High-Tech has it all wrapped up into one nice little bundle. This is kind and honest Auto center..Didnt get work done just yet. But the quote is fair and will definitely use them when ready. They specialize in Jeep and trucks; big ones too!Score! Just wish the had some Saturday hours here and there. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Ive taken my 12 Wrangler to High Tech three times now. Once for some general service, once to have them install a spacer kit that I purchased elsewhere, and the last time for a check engine light that turned into a major engine problem. The guys at High Tech have been honest, responsive, and thorough. The work has been top notch and the pricing is reasonable. Case in point on good service: the major problem turned out to be a bad cylinder head. Thousands of dollars. However, the guys at High Tech knew (which I didnt) that there was a limited warranty issued by Chrysler Jeep for this very issue. They followed the Technical Service Bulletin to the letter. However, after all that the dealer, which was required to authorize the service by an independent shop, would not do so. High Tech tried to broker a deal with the dealer but was unsuccessful. They then put my Jeep back together, provided me with all of the documentation (e.g., test results) to give to the dealer, and gave me a very fair price on the diagnostic time in return for my clearly wanting them to do the work. I know the dealer will do a great job on the major issue but, being out of warranty otherwise, Ill have all my work done by High Tech. Next up - a legit lift! A+

OUTSTANDING!! I ended up there when my power steering gave out and had no chance to do any research, and I am glad I went there! Great shop, great customer service, great loaner!! They were all super friendly and took great care of me! Shout out to Susan, Robert and Elliott! It was freezing when I picked up the loaner and Robert brought it around and warmed it up! They even called, and sent a card to check up on me afterwards. I will be back!

Honestly I couldn’t be happier. Eliot and the entire staff were amazing. Patient and very knowledgeable. I must have asked a thousand questions and changed my mind about ten times. But at the end they helped me make a decision. At the end I am very happy and will be going back for y service.

A bit more expensive than other options, but i think the other options I consulted had no idea what they were doing compared to this place. Advanced Auto not only knew exactly what to do, but also provided very good updates, documentation, and explanations for what they were doing. Very respectful and worth the time. If I can, I’ll come back for more alterations to my 2011 Subaru WRX HatchServices I was provided:-oil change-installed new coils-installed coil spacers

I was greeted by Susan at the front desk and she was by far the best sales person Ive ever met. She was very down to earth and understanding of my situation. Susan knew I was upset and handled the situation even while she was dealing with 2 other customers and 1 over the phone. Not once did I feel like I wasnt top priority. Due to my situation I would have just found another shop closer to me but because of her I definitely will make the 1hr and 45min drive back up to High-Tech auto! Great experience at High-Tech getting my 2003 Jeep Wrangler a fresh look with a new set of tires/wheels and a lift.
