Im very impressed with the honesty and integrity of the employees at this shop. I was recently told by another mechanic that I needed to replace my front brake pads and rotors, but the price that shop quoted me seemed unreasonable. I called Champlin Auto Care for an estimate, which was much more reasonable and scheduled an appointment to have the work done there. Shortly after dropping my car off, Bob called me and told me it wasnt necessary to replace the parts now and assured me there was no safety risk associated with waiting to do it. I was so delighted by his honesty. Well certainly be returning to Champlin Auto Care.

Yesterday I came into Champlin Auto Care with a bolt and a screw jammed into my left back tire. The gentleman at the front desk from the very beginning was amazing and so much help. Besides it being lunch hour and most staff on break he took time out of his busy schedule to accommodate my needs. He very quickly got my car in the shop and patched my tire. I sincerely appreciate that kind of service and would recommend this company to anyone! Thank you again for such amazing service !

Aaron and his staff of technicians as nd service men are absolutely outstanding!. Not only did they diagnose and resolve my air conditioning issue, but they monitored and rechecked the system multiple times to assure that there were no small leaks. Great customer service! Was lead to believe I would need new brakes by my next oil change from another shop. Champlain Auto Care changed my oil and let me know my brakes were fine, and wouldnt need to be changed at this point. Highly recommend!

I called on Monday and they were able to get me in today (Tuesday). I dropped it off at 8am for a 10am appointment. Bob called me at 9:30am to tell me what the problem was. And then he called me back just before 11am to tell me it was finished and ready to be picked up. Highly recommend!!! Bob was very friendly, helpful and professional.

I brought my car into Champlin Auto Care on 10/22/2019 after scheduling an in-person appointment the week before with a list of things Id like to have looked at being both a first time car owner and first time customer to a garage. Great guys work here, honest and theyll try to fix your part rather than charge you for an entire new part. They did this with my exhaust, much cheaper to weld a new section on than install a new one altogether like they would have done in a dealership.

The customer service is amazing, and great prices. As an older single woman, they dont try to tell me I need this or that in addition to the issue I bring my vehicle in for. Gary is awesome! He’s a straight shooter. No trying to sell you what you don’t need. Recommends things but not pushy.. Had some recent work done on my truck, he called me several times to make sure that I was satisfied. I’ll keep taking my vehicles there!

These guys do great work at a very affordable price! Each time I have taken a vehicle here I have been extremely satisfied! There is a reason they always have a week wait. But trust me, they are worth waiting for.

Came in because my car was overheating while idling. Turns out a cord was just stuck in the radiator fan. They pulled it out and made sure it all worried okay, and gave me back my car, free of charge. All within a couple hours. Excellent service, friendly people, and very honest. No doubt Ill be coming here for all my repairs in the future.

Gary is a great guy. I wouldnt trust my car with anyone else. Even though I live in south Minneapolis, I still drive my car up to Champlin to have him look at it! I was in a car accident in Duluth, called Gary, and he helped me understand what I needed work on, and made sure I paid a fair price for the repairs- he didnt make a dime off of that! We have had multiple great experiences with Champlin Auto Care. They are very honest and have twice sent us to the car dealer because the issue was covered under warranty or was a recall. Specifically, Matt has been great to work with. He has consistently done great work on our cars and has a high level of integrity, sometimes charging us less than quoted because he was able to get the work done faster than he initially thought and another time explaining some work he could do, but work that wasnt necessary. Great people and great work, Champlin Auto Care!

My first review of anything online and its these guys. Good caring mechanics that only charge what they have to. They do honest work and always try to keep the bill low. Sometimes not even charging me at all if it turns out to be a simple fix. I trust them over anybody else (including myself) with my cars. If I could, Id pay them twice what they ask simply because I think they deserve it.

I was a customer here one time for a specific issue with my car. I thought they did a pretty good job on the whole. Id give them 5 stars if I was a more frequent customer. The only shop on Hwy 169 where I question the customer service, etc. is NTB.

Excellent service! I dropped off my car after work without an appointment (broke off exhaust pipe) and they had my car all fixed and ready for pick up before 3pm the next day!

The CAC guys are fantastic! They are honest and dont try to squeeze extras into your visit. In fact, on my visit, Gary told me to wait on getting the work done - told me I could hold off for a couple months. What mechanic does that?!?! They offer under the hood maintenance and repair as well as oil changes and tires. For me, they changed the oil and rotated the tires. Their prices are fair and they have a great location. Just off of 169 (across from Target). I had no complaints and I will be back for my next service visit!!

Outstanding auto shop.They routinely take care of extra items for no charge. One time I brought in a vehicle for an oil change. They did the oil change and noticed that the tires needed to be rotated, which they did at no cost.Will continue to return to this place!

Probably nearing 10 shop visits - in addition to oil changes.I am always pleased with the customer service I receive, even with my embarrassing lack of car knowledge! My sly remarks are always met with a smile and correction, this is a great group of guys. Honest assessments and fair prices have been my experience throughout. I will continue to use Champlin Auto for my cars needs, and rest assured it is in good hands!Highly, highly recommend these guys. These guys have been servicing my cars for over 20 years. When you find a shop with good honest mechanics you should hang on to it. They do great work, their prices are reasonable, and they really stand behind their work. I wont go anywhere else.

My 16 year old daughter and I had an awful experience at this shop and if I can save anyone else from experiencing the feelings of aggravation and helplessness that were feeling right now, then its worth the time it takes to write this review. My daughter took her vehicle in for a brake issue and they misdiagnosed the problem. They charged her $60 for the repair and sent her on her way. The problem persisted and we took the car back in only to be told they werent going to credit us for the previous repair. I objected to the owner and pointed out that his quote for the new repair was $100 more than three of his local competitors PLUS wed be out the money from the previous repair. The way he talked down to both me AND my daughter in response to my concerns was reprehensible. My daughter pointed out that it was HER hard earned money that was being affected and he scoffed in her face and told her dont even start with that. Give me a break. Needless to say we wont be going back to a place that not only price gouges its customers but treats women and children with complete disrespect. PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS HERE!!!

Very good and didnt fix or recommend anything that didnt already need to be fixed very hard to find these days.

My son took his dilapidated vehicle to them and they have damaged it even more. They fixed it mechanically, but managed to either back it into something or back something into it, causing the back gate to have pushed in the backside door. The drivers side inside door handle is now broken, too. These were not there when he brought it in. Its a 96 Bronco, he bought with his own money last fall and, admittedly, its been one thing after another, but imagine yourself at 16, buying your first car with your own money. He was so proud if this, and rightly so. He doesnt have an auto-minded mom to help him out. He also doesnt have a dad to let him know what would be a good vehicle to buy (something my dad always did for me and my two sisters). A few weeks ago, he had it towed from a friends house in Champlin, to this place. They put it on a back burner, with my sons permission. He could afford to get two of the things that needed to be done, the brake line and the gear linkage (I think). He picked it up yesterday, paid them $650 of his money, that he makes working his part time job. He brought the car home and parked it in our driveway. He wants to sell it now as he cant afford the future repairs, so doesnt want to drive it, as something else is sure to break. Its been a life lesson for him. Champlin Auto Care is, of course, denying this, and we have no way of proving anything, but our knowledge that they damaged his car, thus lowering the sale value. I dont care how dilapidated something is, if you damage it, own up to it. I am just so disappointed in this business who has so obviously taken advantage of my son.

I brought my 2014 chevy Cruze in because my check engine light came on and it was making a squealing sound (like a bad belt). I had replaced the belt myself before I brought it in, but it didn’t solve the issue. The tech went above and beyond by diagnosing the problem and he even called Chevy to see if was under warranty. Turns out it was under warranty and when I went to pay them for them their time, they said just give us a referral/come back!I was dumbfounded that they were that honest, most places charge $90-100/hour just find the problem, and on top of that he went out of his to call Chevy for me.Awesome service! Cars can get expensive quick, but I 100% trust this shop to fix it a very fair price.I wish I could give 10 stars!
