If I could could give a zero I would. My experience before even reaching the business is horrible. I purchased a Groupon for headlight restoration, called to schedule an appointment for nearly three weeks with no answer before driving to the location to find out they are temporarily closed. My question is why are you selling groupons to a location that is not currently open? I called another location and left a message for Allen the district manager who never returned my call. Today I called Apple Valley and spoke with Allan who offered no resolution except call Groupon and request a refund, no apology no appointment at a different NOTHING! Pretty rotten customer service or lack there of. Would never recommend!!!!

My brakes went out and I had my vehicle towed here. TJ was amazing. He was very helpful in showing me what went wrong, how to fix it, and did his best to work with me on pricing. He had it done in 2 hours. He was also majorly backed up with other work and was solo, but stayed late to get the job done for others.

Outstanding...simply put. They got me in for an oil change....put me into their busy schedule due to my busy schedule. They gave me an estimated time and boom... they were ready for me when I arrived!! The service manager/writer, I recall Dave was his name, was super personable and a pleasure to talk to and work with. Ill be back for certain. Thank you for making a time crunch on my end easy to deal with.

It was one of those hot summer days when my Acuras AC stopped working. Precision Tune got me right in and fixed it faster than I expected.

I made an appointment a week in advance. Dropped car off early on Sunday night for 8 am appointment on Monday. They did not look at my car until 4:50 pm. They said they drove it. They are going to look at it again the next day. Still took until Wednesday to get car back. They called me and said it was not the wheel bearing like I thought. It was the brakes (caliper was sticking) said that is where the loud noise (roaring like my car is going to blow up) which I brought my car in was from. I told them that my car makes noise while driving not braking. But it is a fusion and they have mushy brakes and I wanted to make sure that is the correct problem. They said yes. So, I had to borrow money to fix it because it was very expensive. Then after they fixed the brakes they said the noise was still there. That it was coming from the transmission. So, I told them I was concerned that they could not tell the difference between the brakes the and transmission noise. I was very frustrated. I would not have fixed the brakes if I would have known the transmission needed repair. The car is not work that. So I am frustrated and feel I was ripped off. They did not even look me in the eye when talking to me when I picked up my car.

These guys are the real deal! Driving through cross-country I ended up needing some new brakes & oil change and these guys helped me out big time. They stayed after business hours for a hour and a half to ensure the job was done and the price was better than I would get anywhere else. If I lived out here, this would be my shop, hands down, if you have auto needs, go here!

John the manager is great letting the customer know what needs to be done and how long the job will take. He is more knowledgeable and honest that some of the dealerships service centers I been to. The technicians here are also great, they will show or tell you whats wrong, and suggest work to be done in the future if needed. Champlain Precision Tune regularly has a Groupon or other coupons on their site to save you money.

I used a Groupon just yesterday at Precision Tune Auto Care. The Groupon was for a synthetic oil change and new windshield wipers. They also topped off my windshield wiper fluid and adjusted my tire pressure just to be nice! I worked with Dave who was professional, friendly, and made sure everything was done correctly. I would definitely recommend Precision Tune Auto Care and plan to come back here in the future for my next oil change! Thanks Dave!!!

Had my tires delivered here from Tire Rack, called in and asked if they could install them before the snowstorm next day, without an appointment they were able to squeeze it and finish it throughout the day. Great service!

I would have to say by far the absolute best shop I have ever been to. They were honest, had wonderful customer service and got my car back to me quickly. John is so patient and probably one of the kindest persons I’ve ever met. I had a number of things that needed to be fixed on my car and precision tune auto really exceeded my expectations. I have two young boys and the peace of mind I now have driving my car is truly priceless. I would recommend this shop to everyone I meet and I have to tell you, you have a customer for life.

The mechanic tried very hard to assist me with replacing a bearing but couldnt. I give them 5 stars for courtesy and effort.

Quickly diagnosed my car’s alignment issues and offered to make adjustments on what was required and received a no pressure estimate on sway bar end links which wasn’t a top concern yet. Very knowledgeable staff with experience repairing most car systems.

I have brought my cars there on a number of occasions. I am happy to have found a trustworthy garage in the Twin Cities to help me when an automotive issue has arisen.

This place is a hidden gem! I was treated with respect and kindness from the staff the moment I walked in. While waiting in the front office for an oil change, I witnessed the owner, John interact with customers giving each one his full undivided attention. He was warm and friendly to his employees and gave words of recognition to a staff member before they left for the day (managers that are good to their employees produce higher quality experiences for clients!). When it was my turn to check out he was detailed and thorough with the services performed and recommendations for maintenance. He gave me a break on my bill and honored an old coupon for another location that closed (how nice!). All around a great business, owner, and staff! I will definitely be back to this location!

John and his crew rescued my 17 year old car to give me at least one more year of driving. I had my doubts. John was kind and compassionate and even had a tech give me rides to work and home. He also put me in touch with the no-interest card (paid on time) to make the financing easier. Will definitely return.

My wife and I had damage to our vehicle this winter. I am a mechanic myself and usually do all my own repairs, this was an insurance claim however so I had it towed to precision tune. They were open on a Saturday morning wish was great, and they guy who took my car in for the inspection was great, cant remember his name. After the inspection, John was who I was dealing with. He was super helpful, and great at mediating between insurance and myself to make things run smoothly. Got the car all fixed up and good as new. Insurance was only going to pay for the drivers side, so I had John do the right side on my dime, and as a mechanic.myself, I can tell you he was more than fair. I trust precision tune, and have recommended them to people since this happened.

Went there for an alignment on my truck and was told they were unable to do it because of some faulty parts. I was able to go back to look at it and be shown what parts were bad. Prices for the repair were reasonable for repairs.

Great place to get your vehicle fix

I made an appointment to bring my car in for an alignment. They were able to schedule me promptly. I brought the car in at my appointment time and they were very busy but still running on time.The technician took my car and put it up on the lift/alignment rack. About 15 minutes later I was told my car was done and it did not need an alignment. They told me that Everything was fine and no adjustment was needed.When I tried to pay they told me there was no charge! I tried to pay but they would not take my money. I explained that their technician spent time checking and preparing my car for the alignment and I owed something for his time. Still no charge..Thank you Precision Tune for being ready to service my car at the appointment time, the honesty in telling me that the service was not needed, and the no charge for checking it.I will be back!

On my most recent trip to my local auto repair shop I had a variety of repair items that needed addressing. John, the shop manager, was more then accommodating to perform not only the basic maintenance needs but worked directly with my warranty provider to get me everything that was owed for a multitude of repairs and i didnt even have to make a call on. Johns committment to service has never waivered on my many trusted trips to the shop. I know exactly what to expect and can count on John and his people to get it right the first time. Very poor service. First of all, I suddenly had engine problems after I had an alignment done. My check engine light came on shortly after and had issues with my coolant thermostat, coolant temperature sensor, oil pressure sensor, and cylinder 5 misfire. I never had these issues prior. Their mechanics are not reliable. They do not carry enough parts to be available at your convenience and make you come back when theyre available. They deny service when a complaint is made, and called me back refusing to change my oil. I was pulled over after being serviced(alignment) by Precision Tune of Champlin and told my brake light was out. After investigating and buying a new bulb I had realized one of the mechanics had actually taken the bulb out as it was simply rolling around in my rear break light mounting. A politically biased leftist shop. Keep in mind, you have to pull them out because they are secured tightly into place. I wouldnt trust this shop to point me in the right direction.

Only Precision Tune that didnt immediately shut me down when mentioning I had a Groupon! That said, John was extremely friendly and I had a great time chatting with him before and after my vehicles alignment. While I waited in the lobby for my car to be done, the conversations I overheard were only consummate and professional. Not only that, it took under 45 minutes for a full alignment - they definitely know their stuff!Overall Id definitely recommend here for any auto work. Although I mostly work on my own vehicles, this would be a place Id go to get work done if I couldnt do it myself. I also would recommend here if you arent a car person, from what Ive seen they work hard to provide excellent and honest service.

I heard about this place through a Groupon for AC recharge which was an INCREDIBLE deal so I was a little skeptical. John changed that as soon as I walked in. He was courteous and got the job done quick. Being that it was already a good deal I didnt expect any other service but John checked all my fluids, capped off my oil which was a little low and gave me advice on how to clean my battery cables. He didnt charge me a dime more or try to hassle me into any other services. Even though its a bit of a drive for me I know that I will be seeing them again whenever I need service

I am not one to complain but if you are going to test drive someone elses vehicle, it would be nice to let them know. The guy behind the counter could be friendly about it as well. This was my first and will be my last experience with precision auto tune.

Scheduled some work in advance. Dropped my car off the evening before. They called me after 2pm the next day to tell me they wouldn’t be able to get to my car. They wasted my time - don’t let them waste yours.

Had a tune up and oil change today. Much to my surprise the tune up cost $175, yes $175. I have a 4 cylinder Toyota. $20/plug and $92 in labor. I just wanted to let folks know to expect the unexpected.

Some of the best customer service I have EVER had. The Manager John Ricke was AMAZING. You can see that he genuinely cares about all of his guests that walk thru the door. I will be a continued customer from here on out. Thanks for your service.

Good service provided by good people. No joke, when I called 6 different places (including a dealership) to get winter tires installed on my wheels and this was the ONLY place to ask me for a tire size and type of car. No joke, the ONLY place to ask BEFORE providing a quote. Perhaps even one of the last remaining car shops uncorrupted by greed...I mean vehicle type even matters for tires because not all vehicles (especially 10 year old winter vehicles dont have digital TPMS sensors which can add a 1/6th of the cost onto the install). This place is solid though, they asked for both size and vehicle type.Its a bit smaller with a mom-and-pop feel to it, but theres a couple fast-food places around and a Target within walking distance as long as its above 30 degrees out.

Have been going here for more than 20 years--and my kids went when they were living in town. Ive always had a good experience there, and its nice now to have a place where Im known. I never feel like things are getting pushed on me, but I always am told if there is something that needs to be done. Ill keep going there.

Where do I start? First off, John has been nothing but polite, in the constant 2-3 months where things just miraculously keep happening to my car after its been worked on in that store. Recently I got my front drivers side hub repaired, only to find out that didnt fix my 4th or 5th check vehicle light issue. Now I need the front harness repaired. Julian assured me it was an easy fix. I made an appointment a couple days prior to Christmas. Low and behold when I picked my car up after the repair, the problem was not fixed after they told me it was. Julian said to make yet another appointment for the Thursday after Christmas for no charge. On that day John called informing me Julian was not available that day. I said the following Thursday would work ( tomorrow). I had to call John today top see if we were still on for tomorrow. Only to hear Julian is on vacation now. Nothing like making a person feel like theyve been hustled for the last 3 months and taken for a lot of money. Im beyond frustrated.

I used to bring my car here all the time because they seemed like a good alternative to the dealership. However it seems as of lately my car keeps having to come back and I dont have a lot of confidence the team knows whats actually going on with my vehicle. Their work doesnt stay fixed. Im going to be bringing my car to another shop from now on.Update 2-13-2019 The manager from Precision Tune actually called me in a response to my low review to try to get me to change the review. Hes right... Two stars is too high. One star it is.

I took my car in for the Premium oil change, and the checklist was absolutely dead on with what I already knew was wrong with my car except the burned out lightbulb for my brake lights. They replaced it for less than what I would have paid to do it myself. John and his crew are the best. Highly recommended. BTW, the last time I was in for a serious repair, they brought my car back to my house so I didnt have to walk the 2 miles or find a ride to the shop to get it back.

My oil change was fast and affordable. They used Mobil synthetic blend oil. The staff at the front desk was happy and professional. I was thankful for the coffee and wifi!

John at Precision Tune is the absolute best and most knowledgeable mechanic in town. I needed an oil change very badly and my car couldnt be driven one more day without one. My schedule is so hectic with 2 jobs and kids and I expressed my worries to John about my car and he said I could bring it in even though his day was booked and all appointments were taken. He fit me in at the very last moment and he took care of my vehicle. He also showed me that I had serious damage to my front tire and explained to me why that was happeneing and put together a quote to get it fixed. Thank you John for your superior customer service, fitting my car in on a FRIDAY and making sure Im driving a safe car on the road. I will be bringing my car to Precision Tune in Champlin from now on!!! Youre the best!!!

I had to rearrange my schedule this week to make use of a Groupon I received as a gift and totally forgot about. The groupon clearly states appoinment needed and to go to the location assigned at the time of purchase so my dad and I drove all the way there in a snow storm only to find out that the coon rapids location is closed! I called the spring lake park location and got a very vague response and come to find out it was actually SLP’s location that took my name and appointment down.Eventually we called the Champlin location and I talked to a very nice man, John R. When we arrived he remembered my voice from the phone, apologized and explained the situation, got my car in right away, apologized again and even waived some fees for me.Overall I was very impressed by John’s costumer service skills. He is definitely a hard worker and does his job exceptionally. He knew exactly how do diffuse the situation and my dad and I left there very happy and satisfied with the service. We will definitely be back because of John specifically.

I just moved to the area and was looking for a new auto repair shop. I was immensley impressed with the service provided by Precision Tune Auto Care. I had my service done in a timely manner at a fair price. Was not upsold on anything unnecessary either which was a first for me at an auto shop! Jon was amazing. Very friendly and from his warm hearted and knowledgable demeanor hes ensured this shop has gotten a regular customer out of me!

Took my vehicle for oil change, after a few minutes of waiting, the gentleman comes back and tells me that my drivers window has shuttered! The worst part is that he tells me its going to cost me $40 and he is not sure if he can even fix it the next day! Of course am not happy and I ask him how am I going to drive it home..expecting him to at least place a plastic cover on it! He gets an attitude, brings my car out, no oil change, glass all over my seat and floor and hands me the key saying he has to close in an hour. I insist on I cant drive without a window ...He pulls up an old little white car and at least offers to loans it till he can fix it. After thinking about I decide no thanks my insurance can cover it, so I call the police non emergency for a police report and thankfully State Farm sends someone to fix it at my house.

Brought our suv in for an oil change, got the vehicle back and the weather stripping was pulled apart hanging out the hood. Had no brake lights (which worked before the oil change) went to another shop and said it had missing fuses. Will never bring my vehicle here again

Got there at 7:45 no one there to open waited 1/2 hour still no one there. it was my 1st & last time of trying this place. 2 mechanics out back waiting to get in 1 was helpful the other 1 had an attitiude which confirmed i will never try this place again! Stay away from this place
