Great oil change. I was able to visibly see my car oil being changed. They didnt come at me with oh this this and this are issues. They only changed my oil and looked at the lights. Its a nice feeling to go in and leave without having a list of things that they looked at when I didnt want it. And the cost is fair priced. 4 stars is only because the waiting room chairs were weirdly uncomfortable. Either way would definitely recommend to anyone.

On 11/2/20 I took my car here to have the oil pan gasket and valve cover gasket replaced and paid the $1465.56 bill. After about I called and they informed me my car was ready to be picked up.When I picked up my car I noticed there was oil all over the front and side of the car, and once I opened the door it was all over the inside the car as well. I was upset but didnt say anything and went and got the car cleaned.The next day I check to make sure all the repairs were done and noticed they had broken off a piece of plastic that held up a box for the cords in the engine. They left the box just setting on top of the engine cover. I took the car back and asked they fix the plastic. I was informed they would call to see if they could get the part from BMW as they didnt have it in stock.I returned back to BMW and spoke with the owner and he informed me the part was already broken when I bought the car in. I informed him it was not as I had just checked the car before I took it in, and they wouldve had to remove it to replace the valve cover gasket. The owner was upset with me and told me he would try and see if they could find the part but wasnt sure. This was the 4th time I had been back and after his attitude I just said we are good. I will say they did fix the oil pan gasket and valve cover gasket, but I ended up paying for the part they broke to get to the valve cover.Im not one to write a review on bad service or complain, but I wanted to explain my experience getting my car repaired here.

Beyond my expectations at Milex. Ive gone to a few mechanic shops around CR; over priced, unfriendly, and (admittedly being female not knowing much about car function) the staff would take advantage of that and charge me for things I did not ask for/not hear me when I explained something felt wrong with my car (one I had for years). Milex however explained the process and even educated me about the parts they needed to work on! I did not feel cheated or lost, received great mechanical and customer service care for a competitive price, and will definitely be recommending their service.

As I was moving across country in my Toyota Avalon, I noticed an exhaust leak that needed immediate fixing. We found Milex online and visited their Cedar Rapids location. Grant and Jeff took GREAT care of us. They were very kind, knowledgable, and specific about the work done to the vehicle. They had us out in an hour with a very reasonable price. I highly recommend their auto services!

Went in for a regular checkup around 30k miles with an oil change, ended up leaking oil, brought the car back in a couple days later told me the oil pan gasket was the reason replaced it for free (their saving grace) when I got home noticed a slight shake while idling/stopped let the car cool down checked the oil, way overfilled and not clear fresh oil. I saw the good reviews and hoped I found somewhere I could go for a while to come. Now I’m afraid to bring the car back there. Very nice people and customer service however I wonder about the people in the garage.

LOVE IT!!! I was referred to Milex from another auto repair shop for some simple repairs. WOW! Is all I can say. From when I first walked in the door until they returned my keys to me FIRST CLASS service all the way. This is now my go to auto repair shop. Please do yourself a favor and stop by and give them a shot. You wont be sorry you did.

New to Iowa and didnt know a mechanic and though I have never brought my car to a facility that wasnt a Volvo dealer since new, I didnt know the local dealer either. Called around to some shops to get brakes done and most every shop I called, I could practically hear their eyes light up when I said Volvo lol. Mienekee was offering a 50% off sale and i was going to use them for front and rear pads and rotors but, something was telling me not to. Called Milex after getting a great referral and I realized immediately I was dealing with professionals. They advised me to let them see the car to provide an accurate estimate. So happy I did that because they informed me of the life span remaining on the rear and advised to replace the front pads and rotors only. As for price, for the front, they were actually less expensive than the other shop, even with the 50%off sale. I was there first thing and not only was the job completed in an hour, the car was given back clean and fixed correctly and professionally. So happy I found a great shop when I need repairs and a professional crew that I wont have to wonder about the quality of their work. Loook no further if you need work performed. You wont be disappointed.

I own an older car that overheated within a couple of blocks of Milex. They got me in immediately, diagnosed and replaced the water pump tension pulley and belt within an hour. Dropped my family off at a local resturant while we waited. They are honest, competent, and friendly. Give them a chance, you wont be disappointed. I spent $250 having 1 rear brake line replaced, and having the brakes bled. A few days later which was the first time i needed to use all four brakes (January/ February), i still didnt have my rears (same as original problem). I was questioned by melissa (manager) about a trip id made to a casino 2 or 3 days prior (she found this out from my ex, who shes fb friends with) and she insinuated that they were good than so i mustve done something to cause a failure and made indication of me having to pay again for the repair i had paid once for already, at which point i responded with see if theres any wear on brand new pads and rotors (none whatsoever), and grant repaired the valve in the secondary master cylinder (burning 2 and 1/2 hoursa of my work day). When i told grant how unprofessional i felt his wife/ manager had been through the already miserable process, he told me that it was none of his business (which i argued it was), he finally agreed and said melissa and and my childrens mom could both learn to keep there mouths shut. I agreed and that was the 1st and last experience at a milex.

Alignment done on a lowered vehicle no issues great job

My Chrysler 300s ride was very harsh and had been for sometime. I suspected it needed new shocks or struts. I brought it in and they checked it and found it needed new shocks in the rear and struts in the front. I checked with the dealer and the cost would have been hundreds more than Milex quoted me. I scheduled to have the repairs done the next day, they were done without any hangups and I am very happy with the service I received from Milex. I will bring my car there rather than the dealer from now on. Thanks Milex!

I took my car to get it worked on brakes and rotors and when I got my car back and left the shop the shield was behind rotor was bent and made a loud scratching noise. Not only that but also my speedometer stopped working. I immediately went back and they fixed the loud scratching noise but told me to take my care to Nissan for broken speedometer and cruise control they didn’t take any responsibility about the fact it worked fine before they had done work on car. Never going back!

Had oil change done and had great service, so I took my car there for wheel bearing, after receiving the car back it didnt feel right thinking it was in my head I gave it a week befor I realized it wasnt right, I called them and they convinced me it was because it needed an alignment and warranty didnt want to pay so I payed and got it done, it didnt fix it, after going back and forth I paid for a another diagnosis at my work where they found the bearing was not tight, the mechanic did not tighten the bolts but rather cross threaded 2 of the 3, milex just wanted to tighten them down and didnt want to pay to get it corrected after almost 4k miles on a improperly installed bearing, needless to say after about 20+ phone calls and alot of disagreement they did make it right by paying the other shop to fix their error...

Great service, friendly staff, definitely a place you can trust to have your vehicle serviced. Will definitely recommend to family and friends!

We were told that we had to pay 1000.00 for air conditioner fix on car and 200.00 for feron that would go out the next day, more in likely. The parts were under 50.00 and feron under 50.00100.00 to fix all, not the 1200.00 that milex wanted
