We ordered topsoil from TeePee after reading on their website that it was an “excellent growing medium”. We were planning to use it in our raised garden beds. However, the topsoil we received was almost entirely sand, with a small amount of mulch and dried up chunks of manure mixed in. It looked more like the contents of a dirty sandbox than topsoil. It was absolutely not what we were expecting and not suitable for garden boxes at all. We are very disappointed.

Lady in the front office treats people very badly. Extremely unprofessional and makes customers feel like they are a bother. She yells over anything and has a very nasty attitude. If she doesn’t like dealing with customers she should hire someone else to do it because I can only assume she is the owners wife because of how self entitled she behaves. Don’t go here unless you like to be humiliated.

With Pioneer Landscaping Materials on Pinal Avenue closed, I opted to test my luck with Tee Pee Sand & Gravel. After reading Kristens review, I didnt have much confidence in the place, but was pleasantly surprised when dealing with them.Called up around 2:00 PM (they close at 3:30 in the summer) and spoke with a lady regarding the prices of decorative rock. She politely told me that itd depend on the type of rock Id be buying. After mentioning I was looking to match some rock I already have in place, she was more than happy to let me bring in a sample and see what fit best, then we could figure out the cost. Also on my list was to get some larger rock for outlining the yard. One of the guys was in the office and offered to drive me around the yard and show me what different color options were available. He went so far as to make a recommendation as to what colors would look best together, and why. After making a choice, I went back in the office, confirmed what I wanted, how much, and the delivery time. Considering my late arrival, I wasnt able to get the rock delivered that day, but 9:00 AM the following morning was open. The only thing I dont like about the place is that they dont accept credit cards. Its either cash or check with them (paid upon delivery of the material).The delivery was right on time, and the driver had no problem backing the truck up to where I wanted the rock dumped.

The staff that I dealt with 10/29 were friendly, willing to work with you on choices of their products. Their prices are good and as far as I am aware its a locally owned company.

The lady in office was rude and didn’t tell us to go to the scales first nor where the scales where located. So we drive out to yard and the owner came and chewed us out. It was embarrassing and We didn’t feel like a valued customer. They do not care about their customers.

My husband and I have ordered rock 4 times so far, we plan on using them again when we redo our backyard. Tons of rock options and reasonable prices. We shopped around locally and they are cheaper on average 8 to 10$ a ton with the rock choices we were interested in. The service and friendliness is just a plus, everytime we set up a delivery date and time they were here exactly the minute they were supposed to be or a minute early. Family that have come by noticed our rock and asked where we got it, without any hesitation we glady said TP.

They have been in business for years and there is a reason(s) for that. They have the selection, quality materials and excellent customer service. Prices are more than fair and they will deliver!
