Glad I stumbled upon this gem today after getting a haircut down the street. There is a great selection of imported Italian goods to choose from. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and treated me like I was family. I am all about supporting local business, especially when you get 5-star service. Can’t wait to see what I walk out of there with next time!

The last time I went they were completely out of the one thing I needed, pizza flour. This time all three of the staff members I saw still weren’t wearing masks, despite the recent local mandate. They had them around their arms and the cashier wears a tiny plastic “face shield” that covers just her chin, to avoid the rules. They don’t sell any fresh produce, so forget about finding basil, Italian frying peppers, or other specialities. This place is a disappointment. Wish we had a friendly local Italian store I could actually get behind!

Well we were having a bad, no good, horrible, Sh#*ty day, and then I stumbled across this Italian Market CapriFlavors. We were in the area @ Bass Pro Shops to waste some time for a delayed flight, lost luggage and pouring rain. We made our way down the shopping center stopping at each store until we walked into Capri Flavors. We walked in and talked to a gentleman named ANTONIO (THE MAN) and told him our issues we were having. I felt like I walked into and old Italian Home and NANA was there to make sure we were fed and happy. We bought some wine, dried meats, and desserts to try/ eat while we were wasting time. Everything we had was top notch authentic Italian. He helped pair us wines to our liking and broke bread (literally with homemade pesto) to eat with our meats and peppers and cheese. Antonio literally turned our day around 180*. If you are looking for authentic Italian foods and items made in house like dried meats, wine, cheese, desserts this is the place you want to go. I would drive 100 miles just to come back here. Only thing is I wish I was closer. I own and operate an Italian food restaurant in Texas so you know Im not just making this stuff up... When we had our espresso shots and were ready to leave, we walked out the door the sky opened up, the rain dissipated and the sun peaked out. We sat and talked for about an hour or so with Antonio while we were eating. He is really good people and a genuine guy that made us feel lies we were at home. IF YOU WANT TO SUPPORT A LOCAL SHOP PLEASE STOP BY HERE INSTEAD OF WAL-MART OR YOUR TYPICAL BIG NAME CHAIN GROCERY STORE, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!

My first time in their new location but its a beautiful space. It seems they do have everything that was available before and then some. Love the authenticity. I noticed they hade premade meals made in house that are convenient and easy to heat up. Im not sure if they offered those before but thats a definite plus!

My wife and I were at the Bass Pro store and noticed that was a Italian Market called CapriFlavors Market. We went to check the place out. We ended up purchasing a few things and one of them was the $20.00 tray of the homemade lasagna. We decided to have the lasagna for dinner that evening. Im sorry to say that the lasagna was not what we expected since we were told that it was made by scratch by the owner of the establishment. There was too much ricotta cheese, very little sauce and meat and the noodles were overcooked. It was mushy. I do not recommend the lasagna. I do however like the variety of products that they offer.

I was a 17 year customer.... WAS! Clear shield is not a mask. It is a pandemic which spreads from air particles. It is 2021 after so many have died in Italy and the US you would think they would mask up! 😔 Not risking my life for some pasta. NOPE!

Its hard to be making authentic Italian dishes if not for Capri esp basket cheese. Have to call weeks ahead to reserve, but its worth it.Quality products and tasty!Snacks are also quite nice and the huge containers of olives last is for months, same with the pecorino. 5 lb bag is just right for my small family. The other cheeses and meats are also nice.Their available desserts are also great treats! Their gran conducts cooking training pre pandemic. I hope shes still ok.Its very hard to call them though.

Nice Italian products. Why only 3 stars? Customers walking around without masks and employees are wearing some sort of silly plexiglass chin guard that does not prevent an airborne virus entering the nose or prevent spittle entering the air when they speak or cough. Hopefully theyll figure out theres a pandemic and do masks properly as its a lovely store and Id like to continue shopping here.

I went here based on all the positive reviews. We were the only ones in the store. The man working there didnt bother to come out from the back to see if we needed anything. Whatever. I got several items that I thought looked good but was overall disappointed. Most everything is frozen. I really needed some dried Italian herbs. I went to the back room to ask the man if they had any. Nope was the reply without even turning around. At that point I put my stuff back and left. The place is nothing out of the ordinary and customer service needs major work.

I can expound on this special store but for the sake of efficiency, let me recommend Capri Flavors for the following personal favorites:1. WATER BUFFALO Mozzarella - yes, the real deal! Absolutely delicious and will still leave your wallet fat.2. Sardines w/ the SKIN AND BONES in Olive oil from Portugal. Delicious and at a BARGAIN price every day. I used to have these gems shipped from specialty stores in Utah and Michigan. Not any more!!!3. Fantastic selection of premium tinned fish. Affordable and from the original source - none of this weird caught here and processed elsewhere mumbo jumbo that you see in most store-bought canned fish.4. Lovely people!! Friendly and warm. Just the right pairing for the foods you will sink your eyes (and teeth) into when you step into this place.Experience it soon!!

I serendipitously stumbled onto This market while staying around the corner at a hotel for a wedding. Being the son of an off the boat Italian immigrant as well as extension of the Ruffino wine family and chef! I know my Italian items. But what I was expecting with such incredibly kind, helpful, wonderful and professional help and service in Anthony Misso!! Forget about how wonderful products are, how reasonable the prices are and what a great store this is, Anthony’s customer service is Olde school it’s something you’re really not gonna fine. It’s a shame that I now live in Atlanta. However for my next trip north, I am going to make a serious detour and go visit Anthony at his wonderful store. Treat yourself to this market and fellowship. I always go to Capri Flavors for my usual supply of Italian hard-to-find staples: lady fingers, Piave cheese, Mulino Bianco cookies, porcini mushrooms (both dry and frozen), pancetta, uncommon pasta formats, go-to wines that never disappoint and dont break the bank. The new location off Harrison Avenue is much easier to reach than the old one, sometimes stopping there for some goodies is a welcome treat in the midst of the grueling daily commute on I-40.

Review №78

I just want to say that we had a great class and a great time cooking authentic italian food and drinking some great wines. However, the shop owners DID NOT make it clear that our private lesson did not meet the 10 person minimum. Not only that but we had to wait until the end of the lesson to pay. And it was at that time that they let us know that our party of 6 had to pay for a party of 10. I was beyond distraught and disappointed with this discrepancy on their account. And at $60 per person plus some wine (which we were encouraged to pay for AFTER our meal) it was a huge and disappointing shock. Capriflavors knows exactly what they are doing with their discrete 10 person minimum requirement. Paying at the end of everything seemed a little sketchy to me, but I figured I was being paranoid. So I suggest you ask what the minimum requirements are and demand details on what each cooking class requires. We anticipated that a scheduled cooking class every Saturday at 6:00pm meant that there was no minimum attendant requirement. Dont let them fool you into paying for 10 people at the tail end, dont fall victim to them withholding information. And lastly, understand that a healthy TIP at the end is required in a very awkward manner. The ladies will set out a crumpled $10 bill on the counter along with a thank you note that guilts you to pay cash for their 2 hour class. We only ate enough food for 6 people to NOT 10!!!
