Great grocery store, I always get delicious stuff from the deli that is very well made. Abbi ( or Gabbi? Not sure) from the deli does an amazing job, and is always very kind and attentive when I come in. The Greek farrow salad is delicious!I would give 5 stars, but I’ve seen some other employees when I come in working in the deli/meat department who don’t seem to know what they are doing or even care to learn about good customer service.Great selection in the rest of the store, if a little expensive compared to some others, the quality is there to justify it.Overall great store, but needs to hire some more workers like that nice girl in the deli/meat!

Love this place. The produce is always fresh and well presented. The meat selection is top quality and the baked goods are fabulous. Best cheese selection of any stores in the area. Most of the employees go out of their way to be helpful and friendly, except for the grumpy guy in the deli who always seems perturbed if you ask him a question. The only negative is that the prices are steep, but thats to be expected I guess.

Great experience with Kacee in the deli today! She was so helpful and kind, I really appreciated her taking the time to assist me. People can be so quick to leave a negative review, I wanted to make sure to give her a virtual round of applause for stellar customer service skills! Thank you so much!

Love the feel of this store but the prices drive me away. Spices were once a terrific value but no longer. I paid five times what Amazon charges for the spice zaatar. I only shop here normally for their specials

I like this store and the staff is great...helpful. I love the daily specials. I consider the food here to be of higher quality but I am puzzled seeing shrimp from Indonesia and farm raised tilapia here. You can get that lower quality food at Aldi and Lidl.

This is my favorite grocery store for fresh, delicious meats, seafood, bakery items and everything else. Only 4 stars as most items can be purchased less elsewhere and some items are outrageously expensive. Still, when Im looking for the best, I usually come here.

If you want to pay twice as much for the same stuff they have at Teeters this place will let you do that. Moldy strawberries in the Fresh fruit section. Cannot recommend.

Had very good experience here with whatever food they have from local and outside of market. Very fresh and organic too. Very picky about specific stuff not a wide variety of brands. Chicken, meat are very fresh too.

I visited the store to pick up some specialty items needed for an appetizer. After circling the cheese section cold case several times and unable to find parmesan cheeses, I finally asked for help. Two people were standing behind the counter talking and only helping if a customer flagged them down for help. I felt as if I had bothered the young lady when she waved her hand towards a single unrefrigerated display of one piece of cheese and a few shredded containers. I thought it was funny that they only had one piece of cheese and so I took a picture to show friends for a laugh. Once we started using the cheese, however, it was not funny to discover patches of green mold growing in the cheese. We were thoroughly disgusted with the lack of freshness The date on the container was more than a week away for a sell by date. I will never buy cheese here again. The recipe also called for artichoke hearts and every single can was dented! So...High prices and second rate is what I found.

I’m not sure what has changed, I have never been disappointed with any purchases made at this store over the years. But this past Friday I purchased a range of bakery items and the cookies were hard, the Black Forest cake & cheese cakes were old, stale and the cherries on the Black Forest cake tasted like spoiled old socks. It’s Sunday night, I had a house full of eight 17 year old boys & girls here for the weekend and these teenagers wouldn’t eat any of it. $50 worth of garbage.

LOVE this place so much! Im obsessed with the lemon orzo and the smokey mozzarella pasta salad. I walked past their mac-n-cheese, it might be a new item, and I had to try it bc of how amazing it looked. Well, it absolutely tasted just as good as it looks😍😀

Meat, seafood, deli, the staff, the selection...its all top notch. Id recommend getting on their email list as they frequently have great specials.

Ordered the Mothers Day Dinner for two chateaubriand with mashed potatoes, asparagus, chocolate covered strawberries and a bouquet of flowers. Everything was delicious! I will do it again next year for sure.

This store is all about quality and deliciousness! I am new to area and these folks that run this store are an asset to the community. They have great produce, quality meats and hands down the best deserts in the area. Cannolis that really match what Ive had in the NY area and their ricotta cheese cake, that is to die for! Its always a pleasure to shop at Fresh Market. They have excellent butcher section including grass fed beef. Lots of prepared and partially prepared meal choices. Helpful staff. I trust their quality.

We got our Thanksgiving dinner from Fresh Market. It was amazing. The cranberry sauce was super delicious. The Turkey was on point. It was a lot of food for my wife and small children. I just finished my last plate of Thanksgiving dinner last night. Ive eaten Turkey and stuffing for 5 straight days. 5 stars for Fresh Market!

Havent been to fresh market for many years because they are very expensive. The expiration date on the item was several months out, I cant believe my eyes. Please see the attachment. Fresh market used to be a good place for fresh goods, guess not now. We told the manager, she seems dont care. Terrible service

They always have the best of everything in food. Great variety of fruit, vegetables, meat etc. They also have a variety of coffee, tea, cheese and other items. I love their sushi, freshly made in the store everyday. Also, love their freshly made almond and peanut butters. Wonderful store and great service.

Added detail to my initial review from 1/2/2021:Can find some great items here you cant find elsewhere, like multigrain croissants & Homestead Creamery products, but selections are hit or miss. Just because you found an item here one time does not mean youll find it ever again. And the seafood counter lady was EXTREMELY, unbelievably rude to me yesterday (1/1/2021). I decided she was unhappy about having to work on the holiday, but wow. People wont come back after that kind of treatment, no matter what the reason.Here is what happened on 1/1/2021: My husband & I were looking for herring in a jar. He spied it as we strolled by the roped off path in front of the Seafood section. The herring happened to be just beyond a gap in the rope / chain. There was no one within at least 20 ft of us when I stepped through the rope / chain gap, intending to grab a jar of herring. As I stepped forward, the masked woman behind the Seafood section gestured at me & loudly instructed me to go to the Seafood counter entrance that was at least 20 feet distant from me & where a masked shopper with a cart had been standing for some time, just staring at the seafood in the counter at the entryway to the roped off path. So I went back to the section entrance, walked around the staring shopper, & as I got near the herring & closer to the employee staffing the counter, she yelled at me that I had passed others in the line & that I needed to go back to my place in line. I looked back & saw that another shopper was in the Seafood line at that point & walking toward me. I realized I may have passed her, as she was just browsing the section, & I knew what I wanted. The staring shopper still stood where he was at the entrance to the line. The woman staffing the counter had stopped serving someone who was getting some seafood from her in order to yell at me again about taking my place in line. I kept going to the herring, grabbed the sought-after jar, held it up to show the employee, & exited the line through the chain gap Id initially entered through, all the while being yelled & gestured at. I am still stunned at how I was treated & at the impression the Seafood counter employee gave to other shoppers. The herring isnt very good, unfortunately. Publix has the best we have found (Vita brand), but Fresh Market is still the ONLY place to get FABULOUS multigrain croissants!

Management needs to properly implement pandemic plan. They insist on opening adjacent checkout stations, meaning when youre standing at the plexiglass screen between you and the cashier, your butt is literally almost touching the adjacent cashier! Come on, make us feel safer by opening alternate checkout stations.

I go out of my way to shop there weekly or several times per week. This is the only place i buy fish and vegetables. Yesterday I went on the way home from work, a busy time. I asked for Parmesan Tilapia, and they were out. Jack, who was waiting on me said, I can make you some up fresh! I was not expecting that without asking for it. The store is always clean, and the staff friendly. The selections in the deli are always well presented and of the ones I have tried, very tasty.

Shopping here is fun compared to the larger chains I normally frequent because there is a large number of items those other stores dont carry. The baked goods are very good. The service is always quick and friendly. They keep the store very clean. An overall better-than-average shopping experience. I wonder why they keep the lights dim inside? When I walk in, I always think for a moment that I have just entered a store after closing.

Nice quiet calm music so I can shop and think, great selection of products. Not so pleased with the meat department, they aren’t so friendly or helpful and no one is ever there. Every experience I have with them is pretty bad. Desperately in need of some retraining there. Over all I don’t like shopping here recently. Just poor customer service for the price.

This is a delightful find. Here youll find fresh meats and produce and a variety of brands not available at typical grocery stores. I particularly like the fresh fruit and vegetables. The spice kiosk is very well stocked and the take-away food is nicely presented and very tasty. Theres also a great selection of wines and craft beers. The small farm/range hen eggs are delicious and the bacon selection unbeatable.

Fresh Market at Cary Pkwy: staffs always helpful when ever I need help. They accommodate customers at the meat Dept. I can get 2 lbs or 2 pcs of shrimps. Great location and nice staffs working there. A+

I visited Fresh Market for the first time yesterday, needless to say, I will definitely be going back! The atmosphere was clean and classy casual. I loved the jazz music they had playing in the background. Aesthetics were on point - but thats not why we go to the grocery store.They have excellent selection. First of all, a whole wall of coffee beans with various flavors, local roasters like Counter Culture, etc. Some gluten-free treats I have been searching for in multiple stores the last year or so. Great hygiene, supplements, and medications section, petite yet robust.

Lovely fresh healthy food in a nice calm atmosphere

Customer Service is definitely an issue here. My last 2 visits have been very bothering as it relates to one associate and her lack of service to me and my children with regard to giving out pie samples. On the first occasion she literally screamed out at my 4 year old for accidentally touching a pie. Then today she grabbed her arm while she was merely reaching for a sample cup. The first time I complained to the manager and she seemed receptive to dealing with the situation but today did not bother to complain again to management.

This place seems to be more concerned that people have their mask on at all times rather than worried that their store is empty. I went to pay for my order. I had to take my mask off for the facial recognition to work for Apple Pay and the cashier nastily said please put your mask back on sir. Haha haha. I can go to Publix wegmans and not even wear a mask and get better service

I am not one to write reviews but my dissapointment has prompted me to do so. I was a weekly patron of the FM but lately I dont feel that the quality or service is optimal.The seafood isgenerally swimming in marinade,over crusted and expensive. Produce is expensive and short dated. General service has slipped in the meat anddeli area. Sale items are notrecognized at checkout. Sorry FM, but it seems that the local chains will get my weekly business.

I love this market. It always has different things to try. Today I picked up a quiche and croissants. We love the croissants. Come early and theyre still warm. Ive picked up crepes in the past and they were very good too.

Clean store with polite staff. Produce seafood and bakery are my favorite parts of the store.

This place used to be good. Coffee was cold at 9:30 am. Apple strudel had a big piece of hard wooden stem in it (like they chopped up some branch with the apple). Not very impressed anymore.

Since moved to present location rare to visit, but when in Preston make a point to. Never disappointed 😀 and cashiers proactively watched customer checkout lines and opened additional registers in short order, and cashiers were very nice. Made for the usual pleasant visit! I THINK a new Fresh Market will be built on Sunset Lake Road, and if so, EXCELLENT!!!!! Much much closer and easy to get to.

I go here to get a specific blend of coffee that my wife likes. They have a great selection of deli meats and cheeses as well as a good bakery. I also like all the bulk nuts and candy.It is extremely rare that I dont have to wait for one or two orders before I can check out. Also, the prices here are very high. But youre paying for an extremely nice store.

Meals for 2, great selection of food, produce, wine and beer. This is my go to store when I want my dinner or lunch to be great.

I went to the Fresh Market and bought a whole beef tenderloin. I have done this before and asked them to cut into filets and trim, cut up some for stew meat and what’s left grind up. I did this because last time the butcher asked if I’d like him to do that. Of course I said yes and he did such a great job! I came back to buy another one from the Fresh Market because of my great experience before. Today I told them twice what I wanted and they said “of course “. Got home and they basically sliced it up and wrapped it. I was SO disappointed!!! I’ll go back and trim all the filets. I do not recommend The Fresh Market as it has gone downhill. Sandra Estep

Excellent organic and conventional produce; really fresh, and much better stocked than Whole Foods in Cary. The deli section is well stocked, with fresh chicken and fish. The layout of the store is nice. Good selection of coffee beans and grinds.

On the plus side, everything they have is really good quality, but, the negative is you pay a lot. Part of the cost is that a lot of the lines are unique and carry a premium. I like the small fresh flower section, this place is great for last minute Valentines!

The service at this store is very good, and I like being able to stop in quickly to pick up sushi, salad, or one of their other prepared meals. I can also get coconut milk and other items here which I cannot find in other stores nearby. Regular items are pricey though compared to other stores. Recommended if youre looking for something nice for a meal, or something special or unique.

Too boring just shop shop shop

A North Carolina based chain of markets recently bought out. Some changes, they now offer limited bulk purchasing. The meat and vegetables seem of better quality than traditional stores -- this is the only place Ive seen that keeps asparagus in water to keep it fresher.

Todays visit I encountered dirty looks from the store manager.... You would think in conditions that the world is facing that the customer service would be a lot better!

The weekly Big Deal used to really be a great deal when it was $20. But now they have increased the price to $25 and it seems like they give you less food. Its definitely not a Big Deal anymore. In fact I dont even feel like its a deal.

Shrimp salad + avocado + multigrain bread + Patio lime chips = best meal ever. The deli department was on point and super friendly!

Its ok. Only go for specialized items. Went in for a brisket that was advertised on sale starting the same day. Was told they did not have any. A little disappointed. Walked out without buying anything.

Bought all my fall supplies here. Tasty treats and some nice smelly decor to make my house ready for the beginning of the best season! Little pricy, but thats to be expected. Love the variety and the friendly staff that helped with all of my questions!

The staff isn’t overly friendly, in my opinion and there always seems to be a little bit of a wait got a cashier. I’ve been to better grocery stores and better fresh markets specifically.

Shop here all the time. This place is excellent for really good seafood and deli food. They always have free samples of coffee and quality veggies. I love this place. The atmosphere is nice and the majority of their staff is very nice as well with the exception of a couple of bad apples in the deli, but nothings perfect right?

Nice, relatively high end store. Its a bit pricey, but you can find lots of good food, nice custom made flower bouquets, and I like their cheese selection. Other thing I love is that you can build your own six pack of beers.

Other than the dog in the produce department, good.

I like the Fresh Market. I like their old store set up better than the new set up. I especially like the meat department with all the fresh and ready to cook options.

This is my neighborhood store. I like to be able to walk there with my baby if we need something quickly. My Mom goes there too and its just a nice store to browse at, clean, smells good, calm music, friendly service. I buy small quantities here - herbs, greens, fresh fish like wild halibut, fruits and veggies, flowers - whatever I can carry in the stroller. I like tasting new products and buy exotic fruits and vegetables to try. It wouldnt be able to do that in Costco. Sometimes I buy the $20 Little Big Meals - cooking made simple. They also have boxes of loose bananas and tangerines, and kids can take one for free - love the idea - less spoiled fruits, more happy kids :) The staff is always helpful. My baby once took off his shoe and lost it, I noticed when we got home, strolled back to the store and the lady who works there handed it back to me right away once she saw us coming back. There is always room for improvement: Id like to see more vegan friendly products.

Love their bake goods, awesome deli, and they have great fresh fruits and vegetables. Plus a lot of hard to find items. If you love snacks, nuts and other assorted sweet and salty flavors they have a large selection right in the middle of the store.

Great meat counter. Try their artesian sausage. Lots of fresh side and meal options. Great bakery and produce sections. I dropped them a star because they only ever seem to have two checkout lines open ever. Would be nice to see a self check out or an additional line.
