Went to buy a car. Already had a pre-approved loan. The salesmen kept saying we couldnt afford it and he could show us something cheaper. Showed him the check and he literally said wow. They approved you for that much?Once we sign the paperwork, and provide proof of insurance and the check from the bank with the cars VIN on it, which matched the purchase agreement..... he comes back with a new form and says there was a mistake. So he makes us resign the paperwork. We didnt double check the VIN on that paperwork.We see the car and he assures us its the same car even though we were trying to point out it seemed different.We drove off. Two days later,, we confirmed it was the wrong car. We were given the lower trim. Which meant we would have payed about 8k OVER sticker price.So we came back and spent about 6 hours doing paperwork to get the right car that we payed for. They found our original purchase receipt for the corrected receipt.The manager that took care of us was great. He kept apologizing and trying to get us free stuff. The salesman that did all the paperwork to correct the issue was amazing. He said that the other salesman is a conman and has done it multiple times.Hopefully he got fired

Hey folks, its a car dealership. But unlike the shady ways of doing business in the past, the service and answers I got about questions of the cars themselves and any I had about financing options were straightforward, informative and laid out all on the table. We all know that personnel should be professional and show courtesy but these people were way over the top. One more thing that I appreciated. There wasnt a feeling of a rush to sell you a car. Great experience and deal for me personally. I love my Subaru! Thanks Bob Baker Subaru!

I was a bit nervous heading in to get the 2022 outback wilderness on my own but Jason was amazing at helping me through the whole process. He was super knowledgable and was patient about all my questions. Most of all, he was extremely kind, encouraging, and honest the entire time. Im sure everyone who works there is great, but if youre heading to Bob Baker for a Subaru I can not recommend Jason enough as your sales guy! To top off my already awesome experience, Kelly was super friendly and accommodating when finalizing everything!

I had a wonderful experience at Bob Baker Subaru during my recent purchase of a 2022 Outback. Yuri, the sales rep, was kind and knowledgeable. He was able to answer all questions and was willing to forward any requests to his sales manager during the buying process. The finance office employee was also personable and made sure we understood everything that was offered for our new car, while also personalizing warranties and add-ons to fit our lifestyle. I called in on short notice for a fender liner repair while I was at work. I was able to drop off my vehicle before my scheduled appointment time and received a call that it was done less than 3 hours later.The porter staff were all friendly and service advisors would acknowledge me each time they walked by, even with another client. JP was friendly, accommodating, and willing to assist with additional items. If I didnt leave 60 miles away, I would definitely come back.

I went for a diagnostics test for a check engine light on. They got me in quickly, but then an hour and a half later I was still waiting with no word on what was happening. As I walked out to find the guy who checked us in he said, let me go find out whats going on. 10 minutes later he came back and said well know more in 15 minutes. I spent almost 2.5 hours and left with them telling me my gas cap probably wasnt on all the way.Nobody told me it would take that long. When we first arrived the guy who checked us in asked if we wanted to wait in the lounge or if I would be walking around with my daughter while we waited. The fact that he thought I could just walk around with my daughter whos 16 months while we waited gave me the impression it would only be 15 or 20 minutes. And when Ive taken in other vehicles for a diagnostics for check engine it usually only takes that long.They should have let me know up front I would be there for over 2 hours. Dont love this place.

The staff is trained to be professional and courteous. I brought my vehicle in for routine service and waited less than one hour before the service advisor called to say everything is complete. They even washed my car! This is the place to do business whether it is sales or service. Very pleased.

Pros: Reasonably priced, problems fixed efficiently, info given in timely manner, JP is good at what he does.Cons: air filter not included with oil change, and free car wash is free car wash level, drove away with dirty windows and interior. I truly trust Bob Baker Subaru when I take my Subaru in for any kind of service. My last visit was to have recall work done as well as 6 month oil change. The advisor, Tanner Knapp was friendly, informative and listened to my concerns. He was upfront with how long the service would take and indicated he would make every effort to see that it was completed in a timely fashion. Well, he kept his word—my vehicle was done within the time given!

Easy, online service scheduling with email and text reminders so you wont forget your appointment. We arrived at the dealership a few minutes early and we were promptly greeted and checked in. We were there for a scheduled oil change and decided to walk to the outlet mall to kill the 60 to 90 minutes we were told it would take (note to others wanting to do likewise, most of the stores at the mall dont open until 11:00). Our service writer (Erick) called after about an hour to give us the heads-up that our car was in its final stages and would be ready in 15 - 20 minutes. The car was promptly brought out to us upon our return to the dealership. The only negative mark I am able to give has to do with the free car wash. The car had some dried water spots on the passenger side and the black lower body trim missed getting fully cleaned. It is a free car wash and you often get what you pay for.

Incredible waste of time. Told me they had a car, I literally tell them to send me the purchase order, Im ready to buy it. Nothing.Call back a few days later: oh she doesnt work here anymore. Ok fine, who do I talk to now? They insist I make an appointment instead. Sure.I call earlier today to make sure its still there before driving up, switching my insurance over, etc and am told its still available. Show up and they dont have the car. The guy Im supposed to meet isnt even working today.Literally trying to give them money and absolutely no respect for my time. Go somewhere else that wont waste your time.

I brought my car in today because I needed to get 3 recalls done. I also asked for an oil change and an inspection to get done. JP told me I need new brakes and an air filter change after the inspection was completed. He made sure everything ran smoothly and gave me $65 dollars off. He gave me a free hubcap and a free car wash, as well. He informed me of what was happening with my car as often as he could. I highly appreciate his help and the service there. The battery on my 2020 outback which only has approximately 6000 miles on it kept dying, so without question these guys replaced it on a Friday before Labor Day because they didnt want me to be stuck without a vehicle for the weekend. After testing it, they did find that it was faulty and under warranty. Im really grateful to Eric Lopez and and his assistant for expediting my service. They did a stellar job.

JP is and has been the best service advisor over the many years Ive been going to this dealership. I completely trust him and he has gone above and beyond every time to help me with the MANY issues I had with my last Subaru. When corporate Subaru did not offer support, JP did and completely salvaged my relationship with Subaru. The ONLY reason I ended up buying another Subaru is because of JP who actually orchestrated the new car buying process so all I had to do was sign and drive away. I know JP will always have my back. His customer service and knowledge is exceptional and BB Subaru is beyond lucky to have him working there!!

Were had no intention of buying a car during our visit. Were interested in the Ascent SUV. We got sloughed off to some two bit hustler of a salesman with a blue stain on his pants. We were doing our due diligence to get more informed about the car (like any intelligent person would do). There were only two Ascents on the lot and neither were the configuration we wanted. No matter what we said, he kept asking us what it would take to get us into the car today (I really hate that line). Once he realized he wasnt going to make a sale, he told us that since we werent interested in making a deal that he was going to help other clients. Mind you, he hadnt finished answering the questions that we had yet to ask. We felt pretty insignificant at that point. We did our test drive and left. If we buy an Ascent, it wont be this place.In summary, 🎶At Bob Baker Auto Group its NOT so nice to be nice. 🎶

My Subaru had cvt issues and I had to tow the car to the dealer. Zach the service writer assisted me with great customer service. He was clear, very thorough in his answers, and gave me an estimate. Zach stated he needed some time to properly diagnose it. He also said he would notify me once he had answers. A day and a half later Zach called as he promised and told me he had Good News ! He explained to me a part in the CVT was defective and it was going to be covered under warranty. The car was repaired on day 3 and ready for pick up. Zach also had the technicians look over the car for any issues.I would like to thank Zach of Subaru very much for his outstanding customer service to which he demonstrated, also the technicians for properly diagnosing and repairing the car, and Subaru for providing great service. Purshased a 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid, $40,000 out the door with all the protection available. Left the dealership without a spare key. Got home to take my wife for a ride and I couldnt because the dealership alarm was left on so I couldnt start the car, then my wife told me why I bought a car without any floor mats. I just hope the car doesnt have any issues.

This place is a rip off! Took my car in for a recall and they first tried to tell me my clutch was shot, which I had just replaced less then 10,000 miles ago. Then they told me my PVC hose was leaking oil.. they said its leaking alot and its visibly coming out of the hose. Wanted to charge me $350. I called my mechanic and he quoted me 95 bucks.. replaced the PVC hose and there was nothing at all wrong with it. They fed me complete BS!

I got jp in service after a torque converter failure on the freeway. He was fast and was able to get me covered under a warranty I didnt know was still valid. They did solid work and got me in right away. 2 other suby dealers in the area wouldnt be able to get to me until 20 days later but here I got in and done. Thanks guys!

Yesterday, June 1 2021 around 6:30 I called bob baker subaru and was told the car I wanted was on the lot. So I made an appointment for the following morning. When I arrived this morning, I was informed the car was sold after I had made the appointment to trade my car in for it. After half an hour goes by i was brought a ascent, Yuri the sales man was very pushy and just trying to make a sale. The display of customer service is terrible, I feel I should of been called an informed they sold the car after I called and made an appointment to trade my car In for it. Then I was low balled for my trade In, so I went to my car And the sales man went and got the manager who told my husband to persuade me to buy there car. The manager also told my husband he can “buy used Subaru ascents for $27k all day long at an auction so why would he give us more” our cars NADA value is over $30k… my experience here was very rude and unprofessional.

This was the worst service I have ever experienced. I was told the work would take 4-5 hours and I choose to wait for the car. I had a 9:30 am appointment. They didn’t even begin working on my vehicle until after 2:00pm! The actual work took less than 2 hours but I was there for 7 plus. The service center should develop a system where they actually work on your car close to the appointment time.

I went to only “look and test” a car that I was looking for, seriously the color of my dreams, my first car ever...And Montana first of all was an Angel on the phone, she call me right when they received the color I was looking for on the Subaru crosstrek 2021 cool gray khaki, long story short, we had an appointment Monday and we where received at the entrance by someone (super nice btw) we told him that we had an appointment and that we where trying to buy or lease, Jason helped us! Wouldve given it 5 stars if it wasnt for my salesmans boss!! Yuri was my salesman. Really nice guy who worked hard to make sure I was taken care of, but that place needs to take a look at their management. Manager (Perry I believe) got mad at me because I wasnt able to get my per diem per day from Capital One at 8pm. Then he proceeded to yell at Yuri about me while I was sitting right there trying to get the correct info. Horrible customer service skills. Yuri is the man tho!! Really respectful and patient.

My experience from this dealer was outstanding. From the very first email to walking in and leaving the dealer. The first person I spoke to about purchasing a car was Ruben. He was quick to reply and very polite. When I got to the dealer, he was unfortunately gone for the day. So instead, Matt stepped in to help me out. All my information was already saved in their system from the time I was messaging Ruben. Matt is very professional and polite. Whatever you needed, he took care of you. He is very knowledgeable about the vehicle I wanted to purchase and just overall a cool guy to have conversations with. After I signed some papers, he brought me over to Luis to sign the last of the paperwork. Luis is also a pretty cool guy. Easy to speak to, easy to work with, very professional. I was in and out with my new 2021 WRX in literally and I mean literally 1.5-2 hours. If you want a Subaru, this is the place to go to in Southern California. They WILL take care of you. Heck, my little brother lives nearby and brought a couple of his buddies there to purchase WRXs and an STI. That says a lot if thats his go to dealer as well. If I were to purchase another Subaru, I would go to this dealer, even if I live in Northern California. Thank you Ruben, Matt, and Luis. Bad customer service.Looking around for a car I was approached by a salesperson, but not knowing exactly what I wanted I let them know I was just looking. After finding something I wanted to purchase I approached them. They were with another customer, as appointments are preferred due to covid. I didn’t mind waiting the 15 minutes he said he would be, but I received nothing but poor service after that. Asking for a slightly lower price than the sticker for a used car I was not given just a simple no. I was questioned on my reason for my budget, followed by my choice for a car which I hadn’t test driven, and told to lease a car instead due to my situation. It was a very one sided conversation from someone who seemed to have been upset about something else and blowing off steam with me.He justified all of his questions and suggestion as being the reason they’re the number one seller on the west coast, but the service was just rude. Walked out of there about 5 minutes after starting the conversation as it was clear I was not a wanted customer.

UPDATE: READ ALL THE WAY THROUGHBe careful with this dealership if you are buying a used vehicle. We drove across town for a Subaru Outback and it was sold when we arrived. They are disorganized and do not have the processes in place to know what they do and do not have available. I suggest calling before you leave and again in the middle of your trip because they will not contact you to let you know what is happening. The woman I had been working with all day via text was gone before we arrived and we were not given another point of contact. Like I mentioned earlier this dealership has poor processes in place to assist its customers and they dont really care that you are inconvenienced. They did try to show us other vehicles and were kind, but made no offer to accommodate us for their mistake and the other vehicles were not equal to what we went to purchase. Good luck, you will need it.UPDATE: I did not call the dealership back. It took them a full week to respond to my review and at that point the car was gone. This is the type of problem that should have been handled immediately. As mentioned previously there are problems with the way the business is run. If it takes this amount of time to respond to an unhappy customer ( A full week), then the business is built on volume and not customer satisfaction. One unhappy customer isnt important to them. Just hope that you are not the one.
