I own a 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid 34k miles. My daughter drives it for college. She called me and said she has a Charging System Service Now fault on display panel. I asked her to call the dealer and tell them. She tells me a short time later she has an appointment for Saturday. ( I assumed then it must be a routine maintenance light). She arrives for the appointment and they immediately tell her she is not scheduled. She has on her phone the exact time she called. Then they tell her they only do oil changes on Saturdays. (She drove 40 miles to get to this dealer where we bought the car).She called me and I drove over there. The service manager was telling her to schedule an appointment during the week. He had not yet asked what was wrong with the car. She said she was getting a charging system service now light. He stated, how long has it been coming on. She said a week - about the time she called for the appointment. He stated to her, well it has been working for over a week it should be ok. I told him I was not comfortable with her driving it back to San Diego and I wanted a rental. He stated they have no rentals. I HAVE THE $3000 Ford Protect Premium Care Extended Service Plan.We took the car home and gave my daughter the Toyota - (They have GREAT service)In a nut shell, this manager told my daughter to keep driving the car...This fault could mean a bad alternator/generator and if the car is running solely on battery it could leave you stranded -ANYWHERE- Who does that to a 18 year old girl I paid for this car to mitigate this type of risk.So now they tell me Thursday is the earliest appointment and they cannot authorize a rental until they do a diagnoses. I was hesitant to consider buying a Ford after owning Toyota most of my life. We were looking for something that could be towed behind an RV. The Ford Fusion was one of the top choices in all of our searches. I found the fusion on line and it was a perfect fit for our needs. It drives like your sitting on a marshmallow. I forgot what driving a sound and safe car felt like. All of the staff, Brock Pizza, Adrian, and Sam were some of the best car sales people we have ever dealt with-No high Pressure. They also give military discounts which was great. I am so glad we went to Ken Grody. They had the largest inventory of used cars in North County.

Adrian (Sales Person) and Francisco (Sales Manager) hooked my wife and I up when we purchased our Certified Pre Owned 2019 Ranger. Both Adrian and Francisco were extremely nice, well kept, and personable. Adrian worked with us to make sure we were in the exact vehicle we wanted, and Francisco worked to get us the best financing and warranty that fit our budget. I will be going here for all of my Ford purchases in the future, as well as sending all my friends and family here. We felt like we were genuinely taken care of, whereas other dealers seemed to want to rush us through the process.

Came here to trade in my mustang GT in excellent condition (title in hand) for a new GT and was greeted by a guy with an accent, mustache and was smug to me and my family, told me to try somewhere else because I didn’t wanna throw any money down on top of the trade in with great credit. I have always been a mustang guy for years, So I walked out and bought a BMW from vista BMW instead. Wouldn’t waste my time here with sales people like that.

Don’t expect to get any kind of customer service after you purchase a car with them. They send a letter saying you need to bring your car in for a recall but they don’t provide any kind of transportation for you to get back home. A mistake they made that is going to take almost all day for them to repair but the customer has to figure out a way to get home. Poor customer service!

The folks here in Ken Grody Ford are true professionals. If I were going to be asked at what ford dealership I truly appreciate and would highly recommend, that would definitely be here at Ken Grody Ford! I always do my research and my family and I are ford enthusiast. With the recent lost of my truck, I at least spoke with 5 ford dealerships on the phone during these hard times. Im the type of person who also supports the local business, but since the local business was unprofessional and wasted viable time, I gave my business to the best and deserving Ken Grody Ford. You see, my truck got totaled not long ago. I needed a replacement right away! I will personally thank Chana (Sales Manager), Jesse (Finance Manager), and Ruben (Sales) in the future when this COVID-19 lock down is over. Everything was done online and on the phone. Truck was delivered by Ken (Operations) last night (04/14/2020) the same day when transaction was completed in the comfort of my own home. Thank you boys for making everything very professional and worthwhile. You boys have really gone above and beyond and have truly made us love our fords even more!

I was not 100% pleased with my transaction when I purchased my Mazda CX-5 and drove down from the Bay Area. However, now that I am at my Mazda Service Center, I would steer anyone from purchasing a Mazda vehicle with their Ford extended warranty. The gentleman who sold this to me, assurred me I could choose any Mazda or Ford dealership for service. I initally went to a Ford dealership where I waited 45 minutes until they took me, I had an appointment. I was so unhappy with their service that I came to a Mazda dealership and Mazda spent an hour on the phone trying to wring the last out of the extended warranty I purchased. Be wary of this dealership and do no buy the extended warranty.

Took my car here for safety recalls. Service quality will depend who helps you. The first guy said they couldnt give me a loaner even though I requested one when I made the appointment (some bs about enterprise selling off all their cars). Drove 40 minutes home and back to bring a 2nd car and the second service rep, Kal, offered a loaner no questions asked. Received only great service from there on. If you have to go to this location see if Kal is there to help you out.

Come here to get your ford worked from minor to major work and I promise he/she will be well taken care of properly in a timely manner. The customer service is excellent. At 8am not one employee is grumpy, irritated or represent the outward look of being stand offish not approachable. He/she will not be disapointed with any service here at this ford dealership. As for the over look at the dealership, the place is neat, organized and extremely well kept. There is a,seating lounge for customers to seat at, with a large t.v. there is also free self serve coffee just outside the lounge while you wait. Next to the lounge are three vending machines that contain an assortment of drinks and snacks. The machines except both cash and credit card. In the far corner of the large customer service wait area next to the double door entrance is also self serve popcorn.

If I could give them a 0 star I would. I own a Ford so I thought things will go fine. Worst costumer experience EVER. They charged me $1,400 to fix a broken fuel pump and I brought it in because my headlights and dash emergency lights would ficker on and off very fast. The interior lights would shut off, and TCS would turn off randomly while driving and wheel locks also when I turn my car off when the issue happens behind the dash would make a weird grinding sound. I told them that was my main issue and my radio also was broken for about 9 months. They tried to get me to pay $500 labor to put in a new radio box ($200> for the radio box) After I brought it in for lights inside and out flickering, in less than 2 hours the service advisor called me and said he cant even RUN the diagnostic test because my battery was almost dead so either pay $146 for a new battery or get nothing done. So I hesitantly agreed and was called back before end of day, told that E light (no explanation for the other 5 lights, dash, and headlights flickering on and off) was on because my fuel neck was broken, I said okay how much will it cost, $1,000. I agreed and asked why my lights were being dangerous.l, he said he doesnt know but the fuel part will arrive in 2 days at most. 4 days later I called and asked what was taking so long and they said the shipment is taking extra time and he doesnt know when I will have a drivable car. So finally 5 days later (2 days=9 days to them) I get the call to come pick it up, I get there and I asked why my lights were doing the flickering and turning TCS off by itself and emergency lights, they said it was the radio. So let me get this straight, the radio is causing the dash lights to blink on and off, headlights to flicker, and grinding noises was caused by my shot out radio, and if I dont pay you $200+500 to buy a new one, this will keep happening? I said I will wait and paid a $180 diagnostic fee and the legal paperwork they gave me says customer declined radio (NOTHING WAS SAID ABOUT MY LIGHTS OR ANY DIAGNOSTICS THEY DID) I am now waiting to get my taxes to see if it fixes the light issue that went away for 3 months and came back just a couple weeks ago. I wouldnt recommend this dealership for service or a car even if they offered a free diagnostic, no lie.

We purchased a Certified Pre-owned Expedition Max. At the purchase it was amazing and we had a great customer experience. However I am appalled and how horrible their continued care for customer service has been. The vehicle turned out to be a Lemon and Ford has acknowledged this by offering a buy back. We went through the process and went to Ken Grody Ford to have our vehicle replaced. The offer was denied because we were told “sorry we won’t make enough money” I have purchased a vehicle from this dealership for my family, which was unsafe for our family. Instead of taking care of a mistake and a portly built vehicle which disengages the airbags and shuts off the acceleration in the middle of driving, the dealership, or those representing the dealership in this offer have chosen to care more about how much money they will make than the care and safety of their customers, along with the quality of product they sell.

What a disaster this place is. They made a deal with us on a vehicle only to then later say they actually couldnt make that deal. then they would not let us take delivery of the vehicle because they needed time to inspect it and make sure it was good to go. Over the first month the vehicle needed a door replaced, some engine brackets replaced, some throttle component replaced, and kept getting emergency lights an indicators. Management completely unhelpful. Acting like I brought them this car out of nowhere not like they sold it to me two weeks ago. These guys say things just to say things and then do whatever. If you want to teach someone whats wrong with a car dealership and why people get so fired up trying to buy a car this is a great place to take them to teach them what not to do.

Ken Grody Ford in Carlsbad is the only dealer I’ll be buying a car from going forward. I absolutely love Fords and this dealership has A++ customer service. Eddy in Sales sold me my vehicle 2 years ago but will always follow up when I have a concern. On top of that Paloma really trains her team in Service to provide immaculate customer service. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Chad and other service advisors and they are all very reasonable and understanding when you bring up a concern to them. Oil changes. Pretty simple and straight forward for a dealer’s service department to manage. Especially when you buy an extended service plan for your Shelby. It shouldn’t result in a rohrshach test print in my driveway the next morning. And yet, here we are. I’m 0-2 in Ford service experiences here in No.County San Diego - between here and Vista Ford. Highly recommend avoiding both dealers unless your blood pressure is up for a test.

I bought my 2018 F150 Raptor from Ken Grody Ford in Carlsbad over a year ago. As some of you may know, Raptors are in high demand and most dealerships only have 1 or 0 on hand. Ken Grody had about 10 to choose from, literally more than anyone else in the entire country. Additionally they gave me by far the best price. I even was calling dealerships all over the US trying to get a better price, but they ended up having a better deal than anyone in the entire nation...which is great because they are only a few miles from my house.

To start the service adviser I was first assigned made a sexist comment upon meeting me. Now after paying for a cabin filter and the air cleaner assembly and air filter to be replaced, I was told at my following service elsewhere that those were never changed.I have left multiple messages for the manager to have my $100 refunded and they will not return my calls.So apparently they prefer more drastic actions.Terrible service, unprofessional and apparently thieves.

So the people that work there are super helpful & knowledgeable & they were able to find out why my ac wasn’t working & fix it, so that’s the important part I guess.That being said, I had to sit there for a better part of 2 days because they don’t provide courtesy cars or rentals like other dealers. They didn’t have the part so that’s why I had to come back the second day. It took almost all day to diagnose & then almost all day to fix, even though they said it’s only he like 2 hours.They also don’t do a full vehicle inspection like other dealers, only an inspection on the problem you’re having. You would think for $1700 in repairs they’d at least throw in a full vehicle inspection but I guess times are tough right now.So my recommendation is either have your own ride home or plan to go to the mall down the street & have your day free. Otherwise, go to the ford dealer in Clairemont Mesa that provides courtesy cars.

My service technician is very nice he explained/ answered all my questions. Just the basic oil change, new wipers air filter. Took a little over an hour. And reasonable prices. I was the only one in waiting area inside. There not over booking appointments. Lots of distance inside and outside. And before leaving a friendly man was wiping down the inside of my suv.

I went here to look at GT Mustangs with my Uncle and I was looking at a GT500 for a sec and a sales rep came up and heard us say “40K markup?? That’s insane!” and he just walked away from us. I tried finding him again to ask him a question about a car but I couldn’t find the sales rep or anyone else. Not a great look when someone is offering you 46K for a Mustang. Just lost a sale guys!

Dont waste your time. Bought a vehicle 3 months ago, and due to an error when they submitted for my registration and plates, I still dont have permanent plates. My temp plates are now expired a week, and I technically cant drive my vehicle. Salesman also told me hed take care of it right away, and a week later still havent heard from him. Terrible service, and they clearly dont care about you once they get your money.

I took my Roush Mustang to the Service Manager Chad Larson, talked to him on the phone after diagnostic and $180 later got my car. The problem with SYNC was popping my speaker and shutting off radio or phone call - told problem was resolved. It is now worse than ever. As I JUST started my new job, I work during 8-5 and have not been able to get a hold of Chad. I asked my Wife to call the day after I picked up the car, and she left a message for Chad who never returned the call. I cant bring my car during service hours, nor can I go without a car for another 3 days, (like last time). Heres the best part. My plan was to sell my car once the issue was resolved, and buy the $60,000 Shelby on the lot. Guess Ill take my car elsewhere for a trade in. I wont be buying that beautiful white Shelby on the Ken Grody lot after all.

Id give no stars if I could, this place has a lot of false advertising, too much fine print for any dealerships, rude sales people that talk to you like a child (Saleem) and they make a deal with you then go back on it (Demetrius). DO NOT GO HERE! find another dealership! I leased one car from there but I never ever will again! this place is SHADY! I left this review the other day They told me they will not work with me yet they call me every day to try to sell me a truck then I remind them they dont want to deal with me. Its to the point of harassment they wont stop calling and emailing me although I have requested they leave me alone.

I bought a Ford Edge back in May. I was told that my first payment was due July 1st. A week before July 1st I still had not received a bill, so being the responsible person I called the finance department to find out what was going on. I had to leave a message, they were too busy to take my call. I waited 2 days and then I called again...still nobody responded. The 3rd time I was told that since I bought my car in May that I probably had my payment waved for the next 3 months. Didnt think anything of it. Today Ford credit called my husband saying that I was 16 days late for my payment....comes to find out that they had the wrong phone (thats why they called my husband) and the wrong address and thats why I did not receive a bill. Extremely unprofessional sales staff, and horrifically over priced vehicles. Avoid this place at all costs, literally. I wanted to test drive a vehicle today and get information, but instead was left in the parking lot for over an hour because the fat slobs forgot about me. Calls and texts were ignored from the sales staff. They also lied about their inventory and how it was “limited” because of COVID which is entirely not the case, just a sad attempt to over charge people saying that the supply was limited.

Gosh ford gave me the run around for two weeks theese guys gave me what i wanted at the price i wanted in 2 hours. Blair was my salesman and what a guy he is. Bring your business here well worth it

Your Covid-19 safety protocols are not being implemented in a safe way. You are endangering the life’s of the county’s residents. I expected more from Ford. The sales person was helpful and wore a mask. But having as many customers/staff as I saw in a confined lobby in close proximity is a bad ideal as well as having all individuals need to go into a small office to sign a deal. The dealership should implement stronger safety protocols. Everyone at your dealer needs to wear face masks properly and stay socially distant.

While I did not purchase a vehicle from this location, I can attest to the high-quality dealer experience. While looking at a boutique car that most locations were not allowing to be test drove, Ken Grody Ford invited me to do so. Even after exclaiming that I was not in a position to buy at the time, I was still treated in a professional manner. The experienced sales staff were also knowledgeable about the niche and obscure vehicle I was perusing as well.

Purchased 2016 Explorer 2 months ago and am already having major issues with airbags and steering. Today is the 6th day they have had my vehicle and I have only reached someone once on Friday for an update. Was told to I could get a rental but that I only have 45 mins to get there. I could not make it in time and now Tuesday I have still not gotten an update or know anything going on with my vehicle or time frame to repair. I promised myself I would not buy Ford again because of previous issues with their service. Never again. In fact I am contemplating selling and purchasing a diff brand.

My 2003 Focus needed a break and it decided to take one at 7 am on a Monday morning while I was trying to get to work. I had to get towed to Ford Carlsbad where apparently other cars decided they too wanted to be on vacation because the line was in the street. I was quickly (about 8 minutes) greeted by a service writer named Ryan Berkeley and from Monday at about 8:30 am until Wednesday at around 3:00 pm I was taken care of. Ryan made sure I had transportation, both shuttle (the shuttle driver, I believe his name was Richard was great also) and rental (the company they are partnered with is Greenleaf and they are great too), he called me regularly with updates (even the ones I didnt like, like the price of my repairs and its going to be one more day), and even when he was busy with other customers, personally delivered my car to me at the pick up line. I usually go to Ford in Vista (closer to my house) but next time Im going to choose to come to Ken Grody Ford Carlsbad.

My wife and I walked on the lot looking for a new truck, and was quickly greeted by Eric (who is totally awesome by the way). He asked questions about what we were looking for, and showed us exactly what was relevant to us and nothing that wasnt. We test drove a F150 truck we liked and found ourselves inside talking to Saleem. Saleem made the purchase and finance process a breeze. Both Eric and Saleem were very easy going, not overly pushy, and easy to work with. Very personable and down to earth, which is all you can ask from anyone that you are making a huge purchase from. End of the day, i left the lot with a brand new truck, and we couldnt be any happier with the purchase. If i need to buy any more vehicles, i am coming here, i am telling all my friends about this place. If you are looking for a place to buy a new vehicle, look no further go down there and see for yourself.

Honestly, not usually a fan of service departments at dealerships. Usually they are very dishonest in their prices and trying to sell you on service you dont need.Every time I have come here for service, these guys made sure I get taken care of. If you specifically want a tech that takes care of his customers, ask for Ryan. This guy knows his stuff and is very proficient at his trade. Although some constructive advice would be that these guys need to work on their communication skills, they always do whatever it takes to make sure you are satisfied.In summary, if you dont have problems taking your vehicle to a dealership for service, take it here. I would.

Kevin, our salesman, was wonderful. He was professional, personable, and really understood what we were trying to accomplish with our new truck purchase. I own my own construction business and have always purchased Dodge products in the past. I will definitely contact Kevin when I am looking at increasing my fleet size in the future. Additionally, Gerardo in financing was really helpful and great at what he does. This was a wonderful buying experience from start to finish.

This is the shadiest car dealership Ive ever dealt with. Greg the sales manager is by far the worst. He kept telling me what a deal I was getting and treating me like I had no clue what I was doing even though I had done my research to find out he was trying to charge me full price, while claiming he was giving me the July 4th sale do not waster your time here!

Had my vehicle overheat on Sunday night, drove it in first thing Monday morning, got a call a couple of hours later letting me know my water pump was replaced, all covered under warranty. I’ve was definitely impressed with the service. Will be returning for upcoming maintenance.

Fantastic experience! Was looking for an Escape for the growing fam and was referred here. Kurt and Kevin were absolutely amazing! Got a great price on a brand new escape with a great payment. They even took my trade with a great deal! They really worked with me to get me into my new car. I really cant say enough about the great service. Really great guys!!!!
