Mr. Elliott kept in touch throughout the length of the repair and he always answered all of my questions - his knowledge and attention to detail are unmatched.When I first saw my vehicle after the repair was complete I was glad to see that it had been restored to like-factory conditioning once again. 1st off, this was my very 1st accident in 41 years!! My car was hit while in my parking spot. I was mortified. The staff here is AMAZING!!!! They communicate very effectively in detail as to what the process is. They outline all the work and update you at the next interval. If you have questions, like me, they call you back by days end. The entire team at Toyota Carlsbad Collision was excellent from start to finish. Carl Scott, Andres Solis, and Mike (dont know his last name) were all delightful to work with. Carl (the estimator and project manager) walked me through in a very detailed manner exactly what needed to be done, the damage they found, the parts that needed to be replaced, and the timeline for the repair to be complete. He was very communicative to my phone calls and emails considering how busy he is. I am a very technical person (mechanical engineer by trade), and Carl understood all of my concerns and explained everything to me in great detail to assure me that my truck would be repaired exactly back to factory specs (which it most definitely was). Andres (the lead mechanic/body shop tech) even laid under the truck with me to walk me through the damage and the repair steps that would need to be done. I was so pleased with the work that was done here, I referred my coworker, who had a rear-ended Tacoma to bring his truck here for repairs, which he ended up doing. I’m so happy to have my truck back and honestly you would never be able to tell that any damage ever happened to my Tundra. The estimated timeline for the repairs that Carl projected was accurate and we got our truck back in time to take it up to the mountains in Mammoth! Thank you to the entire team there, my wife and I were extremely satisfied with the repairs and overall experience!

I had a very positive experience with the Toyota Carlsbad Collision Center. They replaced the bumper on my wife’s Lexus RX350, matching original paint and with Lexus parts. Ivan Pena, my Estimator, did a professional job of explaining what would be done, that the parts were readily available, and when the car would be ready for pickup. The actual cost was less than the estimate as they were able to reuse the existing backup sensors on the new bumper. The icing is that the work is guaranteed for as long as we own this vehicle. Had my work truck for three weeks. Bumper and front quarter panel repair. I asked if they could paint both doors with the quarter panel. No problem. Then I picked it up and it wasn’t done. The lame excuse was it would take to long. I reiterated I would have paid for it. The next reply was. Oh bring it back it will only take a couple hours. Really. Front alignment was out. I was assured it drove straight. Wrong. Still pulling to the right. Now it will be almost impossible to get this covered by insurance. My service engine light had also come on after the accident and Toyota scanned my codes but said they weren’t going to fix it. Also front LED bar was not replaced and headlights are t really what I had on the truck. After years of my whole family using Toyota Carlsbad we will not be returning

The customer service from the reception is amazing. Very friendly and helpful. The work they did on my vehicle was acceptable, I originally chose this particular company since they are the only Lexus certified collision center in the area and I had just recently purchased my Lexus. However they left a part in a box in my trunk, when I called to find out why, they stated the part probably wasn’t for my car, which was even more concerning. What professional company goes around leaving other people’s car parts in my trunk? After insisting it was probably the cosmetic paneling that’s I noticed was missing they went out of their way to help put the part on which was very considerate until they didn’t follow through and call or show up at the designated time or new location. After I called and left multiple messages for Carl I finally went down to the collision center and had them put the part on right then and there.This collision center has great customer service potential but their communication and follow through is lacking.

There was an inauspicious beginning, with me showing up for an appointment and the Collision Center not having the part needed. Then speaking to a representative who told me they would need two days. I thought such a well thought of facility would have information available to them to tell their customers the amount of time needed to replace a part. After some frustration on my part, Denise came through, picked up my car at my home, and returned it washed and vacuumed the same day. The part was successfully replaced.

I was confused by the communication I received from multiple people at the collision center. First, was told to bring the car to the center when it was to go to service. Asked for a quick estimate to take out the dings on the doors and received an estimate double of what i paid. Was told my windshield had shattered and the windshields were on back order. But when I picked up the car, the original windshield was still on the car. The date it would be ready was confusing and I did not get the Tuesday and Thursday updates. The work looks good I am very grateful to Toyota for fixing my car on their nickel. Sp thanks for the good work.

Brought car in for my mom to get it fixed. Door was hit and had to be repaired. Took 3 weeks. Door panel was lose and was missing a fastener that the panel came undone. I had to bring in back to get it fixed.The door now whistles as the car goes over 45 mph. To make matters worst, it is now leaking in water when I take it through the car wash. Paint job was spotty and need some touch ups or it will rust. I hate having to bring the car back when these issues arise. I dont have the time to make 3-4 trips for an incompetent auto body job.

Had my 4runner painted after some clear coat damage. Looks like new and cant even tell it has been painted. Came out very nice and professional.

I highly recommend retraining these young folks. Very bad manners and their body language said it all. Ivan was on point from the beginning. He didn’t make promises. He let the finished product speak for itself.All he did was: 1) provided an impromptu update when I called, 2) performed my requests to the letter, and 3) delivered my car prior to the estimated time of completion.At the end, my car looked fabulous. After getting rear ended we needed major work done. Toyota in Carlsbad was nice, fast and easy to work with. They finished our car way early which makes our lives easier. The staff was great to work with. Although I hope not to have to come back, this is where we would return for future issues with our Rav4.

My car was in the shop for about 2 months with that back and forth between them and the insurance company. Throughout the process there was very little communication from the shop to me. Almost all calls were unanswered and hardly ever received a call back.By the end of it all, the toyota estimator gave me a call saying he had good news and that the insurance agreed to cover all the damages. This was good news because there was a section I had to fight for. I asked if it was covered and he said yes.When I got the car back I noticed that some of the damages hadnt been fixed and asked why? The insurance had denied to fix them but this was unknown to me and very confusing because this was one of the important pieces for me.I was ready to let this slide since the damage wasnt very obvious but when I went to pick up the car they had to jump start it. I drove the car around for about 2 hours then parked it. The next day the car wouldnt start. The battery is completely dead and Ive had to buy another one.The work the shop did was very good, however the lack of communication left me feeling like Id been given the runaround. I will not be using this place again.

It took Toyota 14 days to fix a dent with insurance. I had to initiate every phone call to get updates except one. They did call me at 430pm on Friday to tell me it was ready and they close at 5 and arent open on the weekend. That was pure spite. No sense of urgency. No work ethic.

I took my truck in on Thursday 10/10/19 and was told I needed to wait for the estimator to get back to me so that they could write up an estimate and talk to my insurance. They are an authorized repair shop through my insurance and had already provided an estimate through their phone app so I was confused but said okay anyways. I waited until Tuesday and never heard back from them. Apparently Kevin Dowell is the only person that takes care of farmers insurance (aka 21st century) customers and the ONLY one that could give me an update since the front office knew nothing about my truck. I called a total of SIX times and left him three messages over the course of a week. I finally called again today 10/17/19 a week after dropping off my truck demanding an answer. FINALLY after a full business week I got to speak to Kevin. I understand that they have other customers they need to tend to but I think they could spare five minutes to give me an update on my vehicle. If they really are that busy then they should have other people helping handle farmers insurance customers. My insurance is a large company and Im sure they have a lot of customers. One person to handle all of them is not enough. Now I have to wait another week for my truck to be ready. It was not a large collision at all and I have to wait two weeks for it to be fixed? Next time Ill just choose a different repair shop and save myself the headache of having to hunt down Kevin.

Wonderful service! Brought in my car to get some paint work done and the end result looks better than new! Carl was very professional a great help throughout the process.My only con would be that sometimes when I would call the office, I would speak to what sounded like a quiet/unconfident intern which was ultimately unhelpful. When I asked to talk with someone else I was usually put on hold for about 10 minutes so I would end up just ending the call and calling back in hopes of getting someone else.Other than that, the overall experience put many of my fears to rest and I would gladly recommend this place to anyone looking for professional repairs.

Great overall experience. Only complaint would be trying to get an update on my vehicle while it was there. No one would call me to let me know how things were going for the month they had my car. I always had to call in for an update. Other then that, my car looks great and they contacted the insurance company to deal with everything they needed on there end. Good experience with collision center. Friendly, professional and helpful. Repairs look spot on so far. The only problem was the other partys insurance company. The other party admitted total fault, but their insurance company abandoned my claim after a couple of weeks. This delayed the process.

For all the time you had the car...and the person at the desk said that the person with my car would go over the paper work with me....I walked outside and the man said here you go handed my keys to me....I asked arent you going to go over what was done..he said what for. I said can you at least address the area of concern... he walked around the car and said here you go and walked away. Lousy people skills.Also...the clock time was off, the fuel was set at metric system, along with the temperature was in centigrade not Fahrenheit. The front seat passenger was laying down....I wont recommend Toyota Carlsbad to anyone.

I had trouble finding any shops (including Mercedes because they dont repair auto body damage on their own cars!) that could accommodate an oversized vehicle. Repair of accident

With out a doubt the worst customer service experience I have ever had! I called the office and scheduled an appointment a few days prior to bringing my car to the shop. When I brought my vehicle for my appointment, one of the receptionists told me that K.C. TOOMEY was my estimator, and would come up shortly to write me an estimate. After 30 minutes of waiting, I seen K.C. walk out to another vehicle. The Shop foreman, Mike, asked him if he could write the estimate for me, since I have been waiting for over half an hour. I heard K.C. say to Mike, while I was standing behind the glass doors in the lobby, tell him to take it to caliber collision center. K.C. must have seen that my vehicle was damaged beyond repair and didnt want to spend time writing up an estimate on a car he could not profit off of by repairing it. After about an hour of waiting, K.C. finally came up to me and asked me, Is your car a total loss? Also saying, I will not write an estimate until an adjuster from the insurance company writes the initial estimate. It was very inconsiderate and unprofessional, especially for someone working at a dealership to behave this way. The person at fault in the accident was insured by Farmers Ins. and Toyota collision a direct repair facility for Farmers. I have a lot of sympathy for the next unsuspecting soul that gets into an accident and has to deal with K.C.

Brought in my truck with pretty serious undercarriage damage and 2 blown shocks. Fernando was extremely enthusiastic about his position and eager to get working on my truck. Fernando made the process very easy and helped with the rental car process as well as dealing with the insurance company in a very professional manner and kept me informed every step of the way. My truck made it very difficult for fernandos team to get my truck back on time because every time they went to add/remove a part of the truck, something else would go wrong but with having kept my truck longer than expected he took it to get detailed and returned my truck in much better shape then how it was dropped off.
