Our family have been visiting Ray and Bennie for years! Surf n Shack is our favorite shop in Capitola. Our hearts were broken this past weekend when we discovered that Ray closed his business. There isnt another store like his anywhere. We wish Ray our very best and are so thankful for all of our fun shopping trips to the store to visit him and Bennie. ✌🏼

My husband, toddler, baby and I came into this store looking for a Santa Cruz sticker. When I chose the one I wanted he told me it was $3. I pull out my card and hand it to the owner and he said its not worth swiping a card for only a $3 sticker and wouldnt take my card. This is during the COVID 19 pandemic and currently a lot of places arent taking cash. My husband and I do not carry cash with us because its easier to transfer the germs. When I first walked in I noticed a product Id like buy in the future and vocalized it aswell so I know he heard me. I guess he didnt care for my business now or in the future. Just like many other reviewers said, dont waste your time here.

The owner was so nice and our experiance there was so plesant. I came in and saw he was a vw enthusiast we talked dubs and he offered a private tour of his shop. Not only was the tour great he gave me the last of his custom shop tikis witch now adorns my vw shop in Pleasanton i will always stop in to get the best capatola things and wish him well in his busy times stop by his shop take the time to know him he was the best shop in the area and well worth the look.

Nice guy, he gave Us some good tips for our road trip and a beautiful Christmas present. Go to visit him and his beautiful shop and his awesome puppy. See ya in Pescadero.

Owner having a bad day!!?? 4 of us walked in and opened 1 shirt closet a couple feet from the counter where the owner was and he became upset that I was looking for my size of shirt and said not to touch them. I said I wanted to buy the shirt I was looking for and then he asked us to leave. He made to other girls mad and when he treated us the way he did. They left too with profanity towards him. They were there before we were. Don’t know what’s up with the good reviews but this guy ran out 6 customers in less than 5 minutes. Won’t ever recommend or return to his establishment.

Owner was extremely friendly and knew all about the merchandise. The prices are also amazing.

This place has great jackets, sweaters, stickers, and hats all themed around surfing and Santa Cruz/Capitola.
