Our car started overheating as we were traveling from Iowa to Florida. We stopped in Cape Girardeau for the night and decided our best option was to see if we could find another car to buy. Great service, done on time. I was told my car would be washed each time I was in for service, but that didn’t happen. That’s why I didn’t give them 5 stars.

No frills, stick-it-to-you, fair is fair, walk away feeling screwed over salesmanship. No free oil changes, gas tank on empty, had to fight tooth and nail for a good interest rate in spite of a 770 credit score, and they ripped us off on our really good trade-in, shorting us 2-3k on KBB. Happy with our vehicle but not at all with the service. The icing on the cake is they took our picture and didnt even post it, but all the other sales since have been. Goes to show they didnt appreciate our business at all.

I usually dread going through the process of buying an automobile, but my recent experience was different. Lance Pruden was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and did not engage in any pressure tactics commonly associated with salesmen. His professionalism was refreshing.

Not even two weeks after purchasing my nearly 40k vehicle I had to take it back to have the alternator replaced at my expense. After they replaced the alternator my vehicle was not drivable. A defective part was used in replacing the alternator and I had to then take the vehicle back to the dealership once again. While they waived any charges for this, it was highly inconvenient and time consuming. Save time and frustration and do not buy from Bening Mazda. Shop locally instead at a small business garage or dealership.

Great but a little long. Have to admit that they were short staffed. Point is that Lance had several contacts come in and while waiting for some of my paperwork to get done he worked with them.

Always a pleasant experience at Bening Mazda. From purchasing our CX-9 to our maintenance appointments, they are always friendly and accommodating.

I had an overall terrible experience with Bening Mazda. One example: my SUV tire pressure in a front tire (the day after I bought it) was slowly leaking. I stopped by twice to have it looked at. I had a nail in the side of my tire, concealed and rigged with a cap over the nail. That should have been caught the first time I brought it by. I had driven to Chicago and back twice with a nail in my front tire. There are too many minor things to post them all. Very frustrating and time consuming mistakes. They fixed some of their screw ups, but that doesn’t excuse the poor customer service... especially when it comes to safety. It was stupid of me to go by myself. I made some ignorant mistakes. I’m being nice by not publicly posting all of the things.

Our last three cars were all purchased at Bening Mazda. A+ experience every time.

I bought a preowned 2008 Ford Escape from this place mid February. The next day my oil light came on. I called and told them about this issue and although I did not purchase a warranty, they fixed it for me! Well the next day after getting it back, the calipers locked up on me. I called again, worried that maybe something got messed up when they fixed the oil light issue. They were more than willing to fix this issue for me as well! Since the calipers didnt lock up on them when diagnosing, they replaced my brakes, hose, and calipers so that it wouldnt happen again. I am truly blessed and grateful for the team at Mazda! Very honest, respectable, and hardworking people.

Our first car from them we worked with Ricky. We had never bought from a dealership and were clueless. He walked us through it and made it super easy.When we outgrew that car we returned to trade it in and worked with Dru. We’d originally just went in that day to ask questions and before I knew it we were driving off in the new car! Dru made it so quick and easy.We were surprised even with a bankruptcy against us they worked magic and got us in a much nicer car than I thought and a payment that was waaaay better than I imagined.Their service department is also amazing. I get my oil changed there and love that they let you borrow a car if need be while they work on yours.When it’s time to upgrade my husbands truck we know where we’ll be going!

My parents came in and bought a preowned vehicle and were completely over charged on the fabric and paint protection and now having a titling issues because Benning decided to switch Leander’s after they left to make more money after putting a substantial amount of money down on the vehicle ! There is no reason to have title issues with people that have excellent credit!!!!!!!

Our sales person, Peyton was awesome. We test drove 3 different vehicles. We found the one that was perfect for us. A 2019 CX-9 touring, soul red. What’s great is, they managed to get my payment $100 less than what I was paying for a 2015 Ford. WOW!! At Bening Mazda, everyone was willing to help, not just our salesperson. They said, if we had any questions about the vehicle at anytime to come in or call. Again, this was not our salesperson. They have awesome customer service. So on Saturday 1/19/2019 we got there at 9am. My daughters first car. She worked very hard for 2 years saved every penny and found one she loved. The sales manager James and one of the owners JP, took very good care of us. From the time we arrived to the time we left, everyone and everything was perfect, Ive dealt with alot of dealerships over the years but make no mistake, this place is top of the list. Very professional, very knowledgeable very clean and comfortable. No pressure to sale in any way at any time and as a matter of fact Im certain they probably lost a little money just to make a deal work out for my daughter. First time Ive ever felt like I was somewhere other than a dealership while actually at a dealership. I usually trade my 2 vehicles every 2 years and never have I had such a remarkable experience. Bought a car with a 3000 mile warranty. 2 days later the car messes up. They tell me just to drive it for a a few thousand miles and it will fix itself. 3000 miles later same problem and now they wont help me even though this is what they told me to do. People working in maintenance hot rodded my car the one time i took it in driving it around back because they were mad they had to do their job. All around i would not reccomend this place to buy a car or to maintenance it.
