They have a lot of good stuff you just have to be prepared to take some time to go through it. Its been awhile since Ive been there but it looks like the store was kept neatly and priced accordingly. I got some bargains because I was prepared to take the time the look
I hate to give it one star because it used to be a decent thrift store but heres why:They have great stuff but the prices are outrageous. They had one pair of shoes that were gross with a price of $25. They dont have any good sales either, 50% off one colored tag once a week. Big deal.
Do NOT donate to this location! Manager was very rude, complaining about the customers, and the job. I brought over two large bookcases (excellent condition) and my sons moved them inside. This woman was cross and convinced me not to bring anything else. I have several other pieces in excellent condition as well. They will go to veterans organizations. Doesnt she realize when this stuff is sold, it pays her wages?
This was my first time ever successfully thrift shopping! Ive been to stores in the past with no real success. This store was big and had lots of stuff with used as well as new stuff. I got a pair of seven for all mankind jeans ($5.49), a pair of Adidas athletic shoes in great condition ($4.29) new 6pk k-swiss socks ($5.47) new 2pk star wars socks ($1.97) black half zip pull over active long sleeve ($4.29) and a t-shirt ($2.39) Cant wait to go back and find more good stuff. I dont think Ill shop for my clothes anywhere else now!
The prices were FAR too high, not a lot of selection at all, staff seemed bothered by customers... the four or five of us that were in there. We just wasted time while waiting for our Mexican Fiesta take out order to finish. Would Not recommend.
Never would I come here I wanted two hours for the people in the back to bring out things they kept telling me it would be 10 mins 15 mins. Definitely doesn’t take 2, 3 hours to bring out clothes from the back they literally had the clothing rack full they just was doing it on purpose and if they wasn’t their lazy. Won’t be back came all the way from saline.
Wonderful Goodwill very well stocked and spread out. Tons of variety and super easy to shop through it was a joy to stop in. Large variety of clothing minimal household goods and very small amount of electronics or jewelry. But definitely worth a stop if you were in the area.
Great store very clean great selection and great prices
I called the number on their website. It said that they accept donations from 11am until 6 pm. When I arrived, there was a sign in the door, donations accepted 11 am until 6 pm. I backed in and opened the back of my van. No one came. Then I noticed a woman in my rearview mirror shaking her head. Two more cars showed up and left after making phone calls..
Extremely friendly staff! Great prices! Very clean!
This store has a nasty manager that literally screamed at me when I tried to donate items because I walked it up to the store (instead of dropping it off in my car). When I asked her who her manager was, she said the VP of Goodwill… the other store owners in the plaza said she has a reputation of publicly yelling at customers. I don’t think she genuinely wants to help people.
I found what I needed. The staff is a happy group. Being registered gets you a discount. The worker placed the item in my car for me. 😁I reassembled it today and the whole family loves the purchase.
Found some of what I was looking for, on the other things I liked prices too high.
Im always satisfied with goodwill. Service is excellent the store is the cleanest of thrift stores. Clothing is beyond exceptional quality. Yet other wares were lacking but I blame that on location and who donated.
Me and my wife drove to that place to donate and the lady was right there and does not accept donations. it was 6.05She talks very arrogantly. It is not worth to donate at this center. Canton location
The indoor staff were absolutely amazing and interesting..but the donation staff were extremely rude and argumentative when leaving the building.Hope to never see them on the outside again.
Store was well kept, staff was very helpful and kind. Great for kids books.
They maintain social distancing and masks, clear sitting directions are given and things moved smoothly.
I will never drop off anything here ever again the people are rude and you need to get a better set up for drop off of items. From now on I will be taking my items elsewhere where they be valued for donationsGoodwill
They are really great about pricing, quality and friendliness!
Excited about the 50% off of all items. I am trying my hand at tie-dyeing and getting a lot of white or lightly colored clothes to practice on is great!
We donate tons of clothes, shoes etc to this goodwill in canton. It Makes us SICK to see the prices they put on the stuff we donate(particularly the shoes) that are $30-$40 a pair. These were DONATED for less fortunate people. and there is NO reason to charge such prices when people can buy new shoes for far less. We wont be donating to this organization any more.
Worst donation experience my husband and I have had. Staff were very rude and short. I understand you have to do this all day, get fatigued, and have to be forward but people donating are usually trying to do something kind. We will be donating else where from now on.
Its nice being able to drop things off to donate, however there is a girl who is almost always at the donation doors with the worst attitude. Despite the sign being up stating the donation hours and me pulling in only 30 minutes after the drop-off time started, she shook her head as I unloaded, said Im done, and refused to allow me to place my last item in the bin. Id even called ahead to make sure they would accept the items I was dropping off. I am unlikely to donate here again because of how awful her customer service is every time I donate things.
Best selection out of all the other Goodwills around!
WORST EXPIERENCE EVER!!! I wanted to donate some of my clothes and was waiting until things calmed down due to COVID19. NO DIRECTIONS ANYWHERE on how the policy went. RUDE STAFF!! Yelled at me multiple times but once again there was NO DIRECTIONS! I was just trying to help take my stuff out of the car I kept trying to calmly ask questions but could not get a word in. I dont need to be screamed at. WILL NEVER GO TO THIS ONE AGAIN!! I understand people are freaked out because of everything going on but I am a human being I need to be respected too just like I respect you, we are all going through this.
Manager is extremely rude.
Well the Lady that use to be Soo nice..was flustered..I told her you use to be so kind..but I stated I understand..there seems.like.there was hardly no workers to out away product..so I says I do understand..but you use to be so nice..she was treating me in voice rough..she went.from behind the registor and hand pointed..the price signs to me..but I says I got.this from hanging up from a rack..so I didnt know..but she says you have to look at the prices.. hanging up over rack..but oh well.. its ok..people are little 😥 stressed
The people there are so rude. No signs anywhere they just expect you to know their policies.
Trying to do well for the community by donating clothes and having an unnecessarily rude woman stand at the door is disappointing. Not happy about it and will consider going elsewhere next time.
What happened to my favorite thrift store?? Prior to the shutdown, this was my go to place for really cool finds at great prices. You had to develop an eye to find them, but that was part of the fun. And the staff was great; friendly, they’d gotten to know all the regulars, and they knew what items were worth. If something ended up being priced wrong for what it was, the manager would always take a look and offer you a fair price. Usually it wasn’t necessary because the prices were reasonable, and if they were a bit high on some things, you could wait and see if the item was still there when the price tag color was 50% off.Ever since reopening, the place has fallen apart. All familiar faces are gone. I’m not sure if they found new jobs in the interim or were not rehired, but the store has been very affected by their absence. I don’t know what’s happening with the donations, but the parking lot is constantly full of multiple giant boxes of donations. I’ve seen them when I drop off my own, and there appear to be very nice items donated. But inside? Almost nothing! In 3 weeks, every time I visit, the shelves are half empty with almost nothing of any value. The stock barely changes, and there are never carts of new merchandise being brought in from the back. People have been donating like crazy since the shutdown, cleaning out their houses and dropping bags and bags off daily...but where is it all? Not on the shelves, that’s for sure. Where is it all going? What IS there, is ridiculously priced. Old, used, damaged items near or even at retail price. Some things have even had the original price tags still on, and Goodwill has priced them HIGHER than they were brand new. Scratched, flaking and dirty cheap Teflon pans (which shouldn’t even be resold, those are dangerous to cook in) for $8 - 10, when brand new they were probably $12 at most. I saw glass milk jugs (returnable) without lids for $4...you get $1 to recycle them. Plastic rubbermaid containers that are sold at the Dollar Tree for 4x the price. Almost nothing they had was worth the asking price, and nothing was a good deal.I was excited when they reopened this location, but it’s been a massive disappointment. The first week, I thought I’d give them time to get back into the swing of things, but it’s been 3 weeks and no improvement. Sad to say, I will have to find a new thrift store haunt. :((
The place was clean and neat. The staff was friendly.
I met a few very nice employees here but the prices are WAY too high. I frequent 9+ thrift stores in the area so would consider myself an expert.
RUDE WOMEN WORKERS
Friendly employees. Keep up the great work 👍
I manage a store as a profession and so I can understand a few flaws in operations. One thing that absolutely cannot be forgiven is the rudeness of the staff on duty. I was shocked and appalled by how my partner and I were treated during our visit. It was close to closing time and we were yelled at by a cashier (while he was ringing someone up) saying that they were closed and sarcastically asked: “Do you know what that means?”Upon exiting, I checked my phone and notified the cashier that it was 5:58pm, which is before 6:00pm when they ACTUALLY close. To add insult to injury, the place is horribly disorganized, staff are not friendly or helpful, over half of the items I looked at were not priced, and the items that were marked were way overpriced for the quality.Definitely will not be returning to this store!
My wife and I went to your Canton location looking to use our 50% off first and second purchase we got after becoming a Club Blue member. After looking through the entire store, we tried to use our 50% off second purchase and we were denied multiple times. We were told that Saturday you cannot use the discount because it was not in the system. We decided to still go through with our purchase but we are very dissatisfied with not only the employee but the way the whole encounter was handled. All we wanted was the employee to honor our 50% off discount that was posted on the website and we had proof on our phone.
Great store and mission.
The entrance from Ford Rd is with US Mattress
Great good will. Amazing prices with great selection
Its an ok store. There are much better ones around.
What I like the most about this store is that they have a couple of 99 cent racks where everything on those racks are 99 cents. What I dont like is that they are more expensive than most second hand shops. All the shirts are a certain price, all the pants are a certain price etc.... Most clothes are about $4. They do have sales though. They might have 50 percent off of a certain color tag, if your item has that color tag then you get a discount. I never have the sale color.
I went down the isle with the new items. 💄 💅 hair accessories. New shower curtain etc. Love this isle. Store is starting to look much better than it did when I first shopped here.
Very clean and organized place. Prices are so much better than salvation army. Clothing and other articles clean and nicely displayed
Peggy was awesome.Service was beyond that that Ive received in typical retail environment.👍👍 Selection was well organized.
This store keeps their clothing organized (by size) a bit better than some of the other local Goodwill stores. Most of the stuff in the store is priced so all the same type of item is the same price (which can work for or against you) and then theres a tag color of the week thats 50% off, as is common at thrift stores.
Great deals!Friendly employees!Awesome selection!First time being here.....and had a great experience. Very welcoming and safe atmosphere!
Drove 20 minutes to this store to donate some clothing online was advised they were open til 9pm. Just happened to pull up at 8:00 on the dot where the donation side says they close at 8:00 I quickly rush up to the door where the guy seems to purposely go through the employee only door. I then turn around and go through the retail side I had 3 small grocery bags. They said they could take them but wouldn’t give me a tax receipt or put it on my account. Disappointed I’m sure there’s more they could’ve done.
Great deals!! Nice staff.
I have had some good experiences here and some terrible. Occasionally I get a cashier who according to my receipt is named Kathy. She is always in a state of rage and genuinely upset to be working. I try to be nice and offer to help her and she is mad at that too somehow. She rings me up wrong every time and I had to have a manager adjust my receipt it was so off. I donate and try to support this store but you have to hire better people. We don’t deserve to be treated this way.
The store is always clean and very well taken care of. Today mr brown helped me move several pieces of furniture without having to be asked. He was very nice and professional. Thank you mr brown!
I was here as soon as they opened to shop with my 4yr old. The gentleman was curtious and opened the door for me, which was nice since I was pushing a large stroller. I found things were organized and clean. The employees were pleasant and very helpful. They informed me of the specials, and helped me sign up as a member. I noticed some clothing having holes, broken bead work, or stains. I found a shirt that I really liked but the knitting had snags and pulled threads. One sweatshirt was a perfect fit but it had a bleach stain on the arm of it. I would Just really look over the garment you might want to purchase. They do have Good brands and reasonable prices. I Wish there was more of a selection on sweaters In my size to look through but Im sure they will get more in as winter approaches. There are definatly good finds and I will more than likely be going back in the future. Just wanted to add that On my way to leave, the same gentleman opened the door as I exited. I really appreciate it when someone is kind enough to open a door for me when Im shopping with my child in a stroller and Im carrying so much. Thank you sir!
Sadly we had an extremely bad experience at this location today. We had been in the store for 40 minutes, choosing items for stocking stuffers for employees. It was announced that the store would be closing in ten minutes so we were choosing several Jewelry items when the guy at the register yelled across the store . We are closed! Followed by a sarcastic do you know what that means? He was ringing up a couple at the time and needless to say his unprofessionalism and rudeness was extremely uncalled for. I headed for the exit for find the door locked and unlocked to door for the customers who had just been checked out. In the meantime my friend went over to the checkout and told the employee it was still five minutes before closing. I went out to my vehicle to find the same thing when I checked the clock and also confirmed the time on my phone. The upshot is the store lost around $80.00 in sales and two or more customers . This sad display of bad behavior and non existent customer service should not go un noticed. The employee in question was a tall African American man Id guess Im his mid 30s. Hopefully someone above his pay grade will read this and handle the situation. Also the store was less than organized and clean. That being said Ive worked and managed retail and am well aware of how things should and shouldnt be done and what realistic expectations are. All in all this experience has a failing grade.
Like any thrift store, there should always be a fairly well-sized section of household goods and clothing. This Goodwill store does a fine job at this, but while there are wide spaces to go through, it is messy in some spots (i.e. book section), especially with television sets being scattered around (and also on the floors). We (my mother and me) bought only one item (sunglasses), but we were helped out by a nice lady who also helped me out with looking for some video games.
Ok this place is really nice but... Its really pricey. I would not recommend looking to get anything but clothes from this location.
I personally love this place, all the staff are wonderful and the product is great with a huge selection
I dont come here often but when i do the service is super slow. I wanted the price for a couch (which had no price tag) but no workers were found and the cashiers were so slow with a backed up line i couldnt find a way to get to them. When i checked out it took 20 minutes in line with only one cashier! The line was backed to the end of the aisle walk way and no back up cashier was ever called out. Until minute 16 a manager came to help check out. Then the original cashier walked away from her station for about 2-3 mintues. Then she came back and helped me out in which i left the store later than the guy in line behind me who was helped by the manager, i only had 4 items. Very frustrating experience especially because I had others things to be doing during the day and did not have time to wait in line for 20 minutes.
I didnt appreciate the cashiers rudeness
Great place always finding great finds friendly employees
Nice store. Wish it was larger. Nice employee.
Some of the clothing can be really nice and gently worn, but others are kind of worn out and just really old looking. The employees are really nice and helpful though.
This store has the worst music to listen to while shopping. Found what I liked but I will not be visiting very often. Goodwill change your awful music please.
For some reason they put the tags through the material in the clothing leaving holes behind. why would you intentionally damage an item youre trying to sell?
Limited selection, but that is due to the small size. It was set up nicely and clean.
For one- the store hours on Sunday are NOT 11-5, its 12-6. Not that they cared to tell anyone that info online. Second, I walked in a few minutes prior to 12, through the unlocked doors (which indicate an open buisness) only to be stopped by two very rude employees once I was already well into the store. Lets just say that Goodwill has lost a customer and Salvation Army has gained one.
Clothing and very organized easy to find what youre looking for. Employees were extremely helpful!
Half off day is my favorite holiday.
Just dropped off items very polite and appreciative young man recieved our box
Friendly atmosphere. Great black Friday sales!
You feel welcome when you walk in . The staff is friendly and very helpful.
Easy to drop off donations. I was met at the truck with a employee with a cart to put my boxes in. Very efficient and good service.
Everyone is very nice and the store is clean. Only issue is that they are short handed and employees sparce.
Every Thursday, 1/2 off childrens clothes. Every other Friday, 1/2 off ALL donated items. Each week, different color tag sale. NO CHARGE FOR BAGS.
Its nice not a lot of little knic knacs
I enjoyed the shopping experience staff was friendly and helpful.
An extremely well run retail establishment! Clean restrooms....fresh smelling!
Good day..had a 50% off coupon...its worth going in if you got that
Very nice sales people. Not pushy but informative
Went there for childrens clothes and walked out with a wide range of gorgeous name brand little girls outfits at low prices, some even with retail tags still attached. Place was well kept and organized.
Horrible staff, I am person who doesnt look for prize nor varieties of products in a charity shop. The drive that comes to us to buy the articles is just to contribute to the charity which is spoiled by the rude and lethargic staff. I expect the staffs to be more helpful, gentle and enthusiastic towards their job.
The store sold an item the day before 50% off sale for 50% off after I was informed by a staff memember who I was later told was a manager that it would be available in the morning the district manager was rude and be littling once asked what could be done since store employees told me I would be able to get the item the next morning (they would hold it) and I waiting until the store opened only to find out the item was sold at the sale price when it wasn’t technically on sale
Looked well arranged. Dropped off some donations and it was quick and easy.
Clean..well organized. Very reasonable prices.
Like it good location. Next to my other fav store in canton aldis. Good clean store
This goodwill was very neat. I loved the clothing selection and its organization.
Love the merchandise, recommended for anyone thats looking for gently use clothing.
Sometimes a bit pricey on some of their items but overall its a nice store and can still get some great deals
Store was nicely organized and clean. Alot of good items.
Glenn was extremely helpful. Very clean, ORGANIZED BY SIZE. Sheer brilliance
This was the worst experience i have ever had here. I used to love going here. The cds didnt have any discs in them, therefore, i could not get them. Darletta rang me up. Let me start by saying i have worked in customer service for many years, and this is not how a worker should be acting. She should not be able to work in customer service. She threw my items into my bag and had the worst attitude i have ever witnessed. She even forgot to give me the 50% off on certain tag colors. Why even have deals when the cashiers wont even give you the deals. I used to love coming here but after this experience i dont know if i will be returning.
No color of the week and fitting rooms are closed.
Worker taking donations was more than just rude. I was appalled. Will never be back!
Very poor choice, Ive seen much better goodwills while traveling country, dirty, not organized, huge line for check out, slow
Horrible customer service from both associate and manager. Did not honor goodwill price stickers on items and were extremely rude and offensive.... how do you have the name goodwill? Will steer people far away from here.... worst place ever the associates name is sharmein and mgr is Michael. Quite a disservice to the community 😢
