I have been working on our renovation for a few years now and have gone to many, many home improvement supply places. Not only does this place have an amazing array of molding options they have the friendliest most helpful employees. I walked in there with no idea what I wanted but needed to get something ASAP for the contractors who were waiting for me. I was approached by Bob who quickly pointed out some excellent options, set them up so I could visualize it, cut it to size and loaded it in my car. He was easy going and patient and funny! This renovation has been a bear but it is experiences like this that keep me going. Thanks Bob, we could not have asked for better service or advice!

Anderson & McQuaid is the best place for hardwood mouldings. They let you take samples of EVERY moulding they make to help in the selection process. The staff in the office and especially in the two warehouse cant do enough to help: making suggestions help loading. They always have plenty of the mouldings they carry. Simply the best value around!

Excellent service and a large variety of products. My husband and I worked with Brett and he was great-- easy going and super knowledgeable. We are renovating an 1880s home and have been able to get great products here that we couldnt find elsewhere to replace and compliment the original moldings, crown etc. So glad we found this place!

This place is so fantastic - if you’re in the area, go here. My wife and I came today to look at a bunch of trim samples. Bob helped us and was absolutely amazing to deal with. Usually at these places, I dread getting someone helping us who makes you feel like youre inconveniencing them. Bob was the complete opposite. Friendly, affable, knew all the trims inside and out, had awesome design suggestions. So much stress was taken off my shoulders in picking the trim for a house Im flipping. They let you take free samples of the trim which is so generous and their prices are fair. I very, very strongly recommend this business for your trim/moulding needs.

It wasnt easy for this mom in a minivan to drop in among the myriad of pick-up trucks to find amazing moldings when it was time to upgrade a few things at home. Fortunately, Bob was welcoming and helpful and made the process as stress free as any home renovation component can be. I went to Anderson & McQuaid for the first time on Friday, and everyone was so helpful and awesome! I told them exactly what I was looking for, and they showed me some options, then helped me pull down the lengths of header cap I needed. When I couldnt quite fit the 14 lengths in my truck, they then helped cut them down. Everyone I talked to was happy to help and very friendly - there was no patronizing or anything, which Ive braced myself for in the past a woman working on home renovations. I really enjoyed my experience at Anderson & McQuaid and will definitely go back for future molding needs!

I highly recommend Anderson McQuaid! Some years ago I found chair rail here for my 120 year old house that matches the original profile of the existing chair rail and remembered what a great place it was! Today I revisited for another house project. Brett was extremely helpful showing me different crown moldings that would work with my old chair rail and baseboards, and then to top off his super service, he took the time to load all the trim wood in my car! Could not have hoped for a better experience!

An amazing place because it offers an awesome selection of hardwoods and moulding profiles that is really hard to find around here. Also all their products and prices are listed online. You can take your time inspecting each species and be choosy about what piece to take. I don’t love the pricing though - but it’s hard to beat since they have stuff no one else does.

Purchased a beautiful 12’ piece of white oak and couldn’t be happier. The gentleman that helped me was extremely kind, patient and very helpful. He cut it down to size so it would fit in my car and even loaded it for me. I highly recommend Anderson McQuaid and will definitely be back in the future.

This place is great for contractors and those with a DIY desire. Also great for the hobbyist to get finished and raw materials to work with on your project. The Staff are very attentive and the product selection is well organized.

My wife and I recently completed a renovation in Newburyport Ma. Although A&M is an hour away it was worth the drive to get the quality products they stock. The staff was extremely helpful researching the products we would need to complete our project. They crossed referenced some old projects by the former owner and helped us finish our dream home. All the employees we worked with were helpful, courteous, and operated in a very safe COVID-19 environment.

I found the staff there to be of the highest quality if service. Additionally, they have one of the finest selections if lumber in New England who cater to the woodworkers who visit their place. I highly recommend anyone interested in building a quality product to visit and learn.

Creating an addition to the dinning room required molding to match the room and the rest of the house. With the help of the staff (Bob) we were able to find the exact match: crown, chair rail and rail cap. After given all molding final coat of paint, one cant tell between original (installed 20 years ago) and molding.

Visited their yard and had a very positive experience. I was helped and learned a lot, plus they have great samples. Pricey but terrific product. The reason for a two star review is simply because they have made it extremely clear they do not want to do business with homeowners, just contractors. They are no longer open on Saturday, their weekday hours are impossible and they require a person onsite to take a delivery. Clearly not catering to the young professionals who ultimately install their products in their homes.If they ever become easier to do business with, I would certainly give them more stars.
