If you remember what Radio Shack used to be in the 70s and 80s, this is like that but much better. I tinker with electronics and electrical devices and this is my go to place. They even helped my senior mother with her car remote for free, service like that is rare now daysNeed a resistor? Theyve got it... capacitor? Theyve got it. Prices are good and the service is excellent.

A local very respectful person close to me told me about this place. I stopped in just to check it out. The pretty much have any electronic part you can think of or they can probably get it. Huge consumer options and they also distribute to businesses. Its a great resource if you are into building or repairing electronics.

There are two shops like this one in the entire Treasure Valley. They are the best of the two for inventory. The staff is about as friendly as you could expect and I always leave with what Im looking for and then some. My go to for parts other than online.

We were given good information and very helpful and was able to see videos of various security camera ratings and to find out about switching over to our local tv channels as the major tv companies are out pricing the customers wallets.great place to go for the best customer service..

A must go to! Time seems to stand still in this old-school store of electronic supplies. If youre into electronics of any kind they have a huge inventory and what they dont have can usually get. The staff are extremely knowledgable. Skip online and go to A-Gem, it has been around for decades.

If youre into electronics computers and everything that goes with them that you cant find at the big box stores this place is off the hook. Im in this place at least once every other week whether its for thermal paste or network cables or an antenna to pull free TV out of the air they have it all staff is very knowledgeable and being able to find a place like this thats a mom and pop local shop is awesome.

This store was awesome! They have every electronic component you could think of. I went in to find a piece to jimmyrig an electronic doorbell from 1991. While they were looking at the big electronic piece I was trying to fix, he said, hold on, I think I might have this piece in the back. He disappeared into the back room and a few minutes late came out with not only a fix but the entire doorbell from 1991. THE EXACT SAME PART I NEEDED. How he ever remembered he had a part in the back that was almost 30 years old is amazing to me. He also told me how to put it back together and checked it out before he sold it to me. This was EXCELLENT customer service and I cant wait to go back in. I think his name was Alan and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND him and A Gem Supply Co in Caldwell.

A Gem supply is always great. Its like my own little play ground, for unique and precise electrical components. I go there for audio cable and what not but they literally have everything. EVERY THING.

These guys are great at helping me find what I need. They are what RadioShack should have been/once was, in regards to electronic components and merchandise. Alan is very knowledgeable about just about everything in the store and can help you out on projects. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is due to the lack of organization in the store, its pretty messy and the aisles/shelves arent really labeled, so if youre looking for something in particular then it can be a challenge to find it without asking an employee.

I have been a customer of A-Gem Supply for over 40 years. They have always been the go-to supplier for all of the hard to find parts and pieces for obscure electronic projects. The staff knows their stuff and they are always very helpful. They carry an unmatched assortment of hard to find components.This little GEM is one of the few left of the hands on electronic parts suppliers.

Great place to pick up electronic components. Used to go to RadioShack for such components, but since it went out of business I had nowhere to go. Then I found this place. Customer service is good, too.

I was looking for an odd cable and Alan Jr was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He was even willing to make what I needed right there on the spot. Inexpensive and they have every cable, cord, wire, adapter, etc. Awesome place!

One of my favorite stores of all time! If youre one of the many people who miss Radio Shack then youve never been to A Gem supply. They have anything and everything that you would need to upgrade, alter, adapt, prototype and build anything electronic. The staff are well educated and know what they are doing. I have had countless questions answered by them and they will always have my business. They had all the capacitors, resistors, headers and IC components I needed to chip all the Honda ECUs that I build for local car enthusiasts. Before I was forced to go online to Amazon or EBay and buy bulk components then wait for weeks while I hoped they would even show up. Now I go to A Gem supply and purchase the exact quantity needed and within the day I have a customers ECU back to them chipped and loaded with a base map of their choice. And if like me your into electronic prototyping i.e. With Arduino, raspberry pie, etc. then youll hit the jackpot when you visit A Gem supply! No mattter what the project you have they will have the parts or they can order them. Buy local! Support this business! Ive worked all around the northwest United States installing custom industrial back up and emergency power supply units (really expensive diesel generators) and I have had to find a local electronics suppliers such as A Gem supply numerous times. If Im lucky enough to locate a business that deals in electronic components they often fall short of what I need and its only on rare occasion that they even compare to A Gem supply. Truly a diamond in the rough.
