We have been going to Benztek for a number of years to service my wifes 2007 S500. We have been very satisfied with the service and savings on repair & maintenance of her vehicle.After many years of driving a different German car brand, I have finally switched to MB myself. I am looking forward to Mike and his team servicing both of our cars and keeping them on the road for a long time.If you are used to going to a MB dealer for your regular maintenance and repairs, I think you maybe shocked at the professional service you can get at Benztek without all of the overhead and inflated prices charged by dealerships.

Actually one-half of a star. I took my M Class Merc. into the shop to be diagnosed for a suspension issue. I was told and agreed to a (125.00)basic diagnostic fee, and to an additional (125.00) for an in depth suspension diagnoses. Later Mike calls and states that he cant figure out what the issue is... and that it would cost an additional $475.00 to contact tech support. It turned out to be a bad fuse box... Days later Mike emailed and stated that I didnt actually pay for tech support but for additional unwarranted test that he decided to perform (fuel supply, ignition and air intake) Long story short, I feel that my bill was padded, and will not be doing business with Benztek any longer.

Ive been using Benztek exclusively for maintenance and repairs to my Mercedes for over 6 years. I started with Mike and his crew once the extended warranty ran out on the E500. The car is now 13 years old with well over 100,000 miles and it remains my principal driver.Mike has always been forthright and honest with me. His estimates have been accurate, his work has consistently been high quality and his turnaround time has been as promised. The very few times that some rework was necessary, it was performed quickly and accurately without excuses. It is hard enough to find a competent mechanic as it is, let alone one who is trustworthy and principal centered. 5 Star Experience! Very knowledgeable and professional. I chose Benztek based on reviews seen and a personal recommendation from associate. Benztek earned my trust, and I gave them a try after an experience at local Mercedes dealership.A local Mercedes dealership, who gave wrong diagnosis to a suspension issue and issued an outrageous quote for the wrong item (non warranty item). I know enough about cars to hold my own, and informed Mercedes service manager that its obvious their staff has a wrong diagnosis and why. Eventually, the service manager admitted the error and warranty work completed as desired. However, they lost my trust.Since that time, Ive taken both my used Mercedes solely to Benztek and will keep going back. Benztek takes the time to hear my concerns, to explain whats wrong, and takes care to do only the work necessary to make vehicle in tip top shape and roadworthy. Very conscious of doing quality work and they have earned my preference. They even offer coupons periodically to help reduce the cost of service intervals, etc.

Ive been going to Benztek for several years now and Ive got to say, its the best place Ive ever been to for Mercedes repairs. The owner is an honest guy, really knows his cars. My little C class is always completed as promised, always to my satisfaction and at a fair price. The friends that Ive referred have had nothing but great things to say about this shop.

My Experience with Ari and Independent Mercedes Benz was great. Ive been bringing my cars to his shop for many, many years. Ive always felt that he was not only a great mechanic, he was always knowledgeable, honest and at a very fair price. Ive had major work done in his shop (including clutch, transmission, brakes etc.) Ive also had oil changes and tire rotations. He has always been there when I needed him. I hope my car doesnt break down, but Im comforted knowing who I will bring it to. Ari, thank you for always fixing a bad situation. Now if only my wife would stop riding her brakes and driving over potholes :) I highly recommend this garage.

Mike and his team were great. I was trying to purchase a C63 from out of state. Mike squeezed the car into his schedule at last minute notice and completed the Pre Purchase Inspection. He found many issues with the car and let me know how much it would be to fix. He saved me over $8000 by steering me away from this car. Will definitely send any other Chicago area PPI work his way.

Benztek in Countryside is a very welcoming car repair shop. The proprietor is a warm person who is willing to help you with the problems of your Benz car. He does a good job for you. His judgment on potential problems of your is trustworthy. He is honest. According to my assessment of this place, the proprietor would not try to make money of your lack of mechanical knowledge about your car. Often such shops try to make more money by pushing you to do unnecessary repair work; the owner of this Benz repair shop will be a reliable person from my experience with him. I have been using his service for over five years now, and I am satisfied. I still take my car for yearly services and other needed repairs.
