Its got a lot of storage units. Its more difficult to get in and out of the storage area, you need to have a card to enter and leave the area. Its kind of a good location, but also a little weird of a location. Its nice having it being inside so the climate control keeps it comfortable in some of the worst outside temps! Inside theres motion sensor lights and cameras all over for protection of your unit and yourself! Overall, its one of the best storage places Ive ever seen across the western half of the US!
Very Disorganized Location - workers do their best to provide good service.I have been to this location many times over the last month because I had things shipped to me in 4 U-Boxes. I dont know if they are understaffed or disorganized, or what the problem is. Perhaps they are not accustomed to having multiple U-boxes shipped and only one box picked up at a time.I was told to contact the store 24 hours before I wanted to pick up a U-Box. I was only able to talk with the answering service - she always said the people at the store were busy helping other customers.I left detailed messages, requesting a call back to confirm they received my request, but I never received a call back and when I went to pick up the U-box, the workers didnt know I had requested a pick up.I sent text messages to the manager (his voicemail was full.) 3 of the 4 times when I went to pick up u-boxes, they were not ready and the workers said they didnt know I had requested a pick-up.I even stopped by the store once to confirm my request and was told there was no record of it, but was promised the U-box would be available at the requested time. Again, when I went to pick up the u-box, it wasnt ready and I waited an hour or more for it to be located and prepared for me to take with me.The workers were great, they always helped me, even if it took more than an hour, to find my u-boxes and prepare them for me to take them with me.When I returned the first of the four U-boxes, someone inadvertently checked all 4 of the boxes in. I think that made the problem worse. The inventory system doesnt seem to be able to locate boxes that are available for use. Naturally, I was concerned that someone would take one of my U-boxes, assuming it was available for use, and I would never see my belongings again.I really hope they find a way to do a better job with the U-boxes. I think they are great - they make moving easy for someone who wants to do it themselves,
The facility is always clean and temperature inside is perfect. The staff has always been so kind, helpful, and accommodating.

I liked the friendly person person I spoke with at the 12200 Portland Ave U Haul. However Im not too impressed with the U Haul reservation system. They took my online reservation for a 17 truck and some moving supplies. When printing my Confirmation it states that this is a preference only. Im glad I called to see what this meant because the nice person answering stated that they didnt have a truck that size available. She kindly forwarded me to the traffic person. Her name was Nicole. She stated that I did check the box saying I agreed to recognize this confirmation was only a confirmation IF the truck was available. What good is a confirmation then?! She stated that the closest available truck was just down the highway 4 exits. That would be an additional $12.00 mileage fee in the morning and another $12.00 mileage fee to return the truck. I asked if theyd compensate us because we had to go out of our way to pick up/return the truck. It was frustrating talking to Nicole because she didnt sound like she was hearing me. Her words sounded like shed practiced this customer service rhetoric many times and she stated that U Haul never refunds for mileage and if I wanted to talk to someone else about it Id have to go online to the U Haul site. Ugh!!! I wont rent from from U Haul. Very disappointing to say the least. One star was given only because this wont post.
Great service, no problems. Easy. Set up our van rental and check in online. Picked it up on time, had it back early. Straightforward. No hassles. Great van!

This is the worst place to rent U-Haul and the manager is the rude is very disrespectful he doesn’t know how to talk to his customer he’s name is Alexandria they overcharge me the mileage I return early one day and they start charging me $20 for nothing they rip you off Even I call the U-Haul customer service they are the worst customer service so be careful guys
