The perfect beer store. The best selection in the cities worth driving 20 minutes out of my way to be transported back in time to my early 20s.Unlike every other lq store around they keep 99 percent of their beer in refrigerators to protect it and I for one appreciate that immensely as I get day drunk on Belgian abbey quadruples at what I would have paid 15 years ago. ANYONE who complains about their prices should be tarred and featherd. Love this store.

Small on the outside huge selection on the inside every beer imaginable and very deep selection of Single Malts and blends lots of independent bottlings as well. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.

This store may be small but it is stuffed full of great wines and unique beers. Their prices are reasonable too. Even if prices were a bit higher, I would ALWAYS choose to shop a family business rather than a big box store! I definitely would recommend this shop.

ABSOLUTELY FIVE STARS 🌟!They not only have a major selection of beer, mead, wine, whiskey and so much more, but theyre knowledgeable and know exactly what theyre speaking to.You have questions, they have answers. Even if they dont know the answer, theyll find or figure it out.True story, I couldnt find what I wanted and asked one of the associates, they didnt have it on hand. He says hell order it for me. I love this place, they have a good selection. But more importantly, their staff is so freaking nice! I dont know the ladys name but she is awesome. Shes there every time I go and she is always there with a recommendation. She also helped me pick something out for a gift for someone which was really nice. She didnt have to do that, because I would have gotten it regardless but she took the extra step to do so out of kindness and good customer service. Definitely going to keep going here for all my alcohol needs!

Best selection of single malt scotches I’ve found yet. Most of their prices seem pretty good, compared total wine everything seemed to be a few dollars cheaper. Not much, but the selection is the real draw here. Good beer selection too!

This place has one of the largest selections of Scotch in the Cities. The owner knows his scotch, and can answer just about any question. Great selection of local beers here as well as foreign beers. Some of the best bourbon is sold here too. The wine selection isnt huge, but its definitely good enough. Prices are great too!

This place may look small from the outside...but theyre big where it counts-selection. Step inside and it is packed with the largest beer selection Ive ever seen in the state before. Tons of local breweries, huge import area and many verticals of things that theyve aged themselves. Friendly staff, better than average pricing. Plus, this is a locally owned shop. No big box.

The new owner is literally running this store into the ground!! The store is messy and understaffed, hes always on his phone, and he doesnt care about the safety of the customers or the staff especially during this pandemic. The Blue Max has been busier than Ive ever seen and the owner wont make any changes to make this store SAFER for everyone. I have never seen an owner care less about its business, clientele or staff! Its clear the only reason this place is still open is due to the manager and staff who are risking their lives by working there. PLEASE BOYCOTT and LET HIM KNOW WHY!

A small space with a big selection of brews from all over the world. They also stock all of the hottest local beers. Prices cant compete with bigger distributors such as Total Wine but they will often stock some of the harder to find trending beers.

One of the best selections of local and craft Brews around! Super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Convenient location right off 42 with plenty of parking. They also have a nice selection of single malt scotch for you aficionados.

Best kept secret. Huge chilled beer selection. In and out in 10 minutes and never busy. The staff is very helpful and very knowledgeable about all the various craft brews. Better shopping experience all-around compared to the bigger liquor stores.

Total Wine is cheaper and just down the road but this is a pretty good spot with decent variety and friendly staff.

Blue Max is my favorite liquor store. They have a large selection of single malts and a huge selection of craft beers. Definitely worth the drive.

Here is the best selection of scotch in the cities as well as import beers. Bourbon is hit or miss. Staff is usually helpful and accommodating when they are able.

The best thing about Blue Max is their large selection of cold items to go. I would even go as far as saying they have more cold options than Total Wine. Also everytime I have been their I have found something new and their prices are the most reasonable around town.

Best Liquor Store EVER. Their Scotch/Whisky selection is second to none. I bet they have over 200 selections. Everytime I go to the Cities, I make a stop there and buy/try at least 4 new selections. A MUST VISTIT for Whisky lovers !!!!

For such a tiny place they pack in more variety than stores 10 times their sizeAnd best of all the beer guys have tried everything and can help find things for even the hardest customer. Additionally their scotch selection is superb.

Always a good selection of beers, they will go out of their way to hunt down other request you may have stumbled across your journey... just dont be mad when their suppliers cant get a hold of your request, trust me, I have tried to get those obscured small town beers....

Hands down the best selection of craft beer in the southern metro! Dont waste your time going to Total Wine with the huge numbers of people buying Bud Light, pop into Blue Max and get in and out quickly with beers you cant get at the big stores.

Unfortunately I have seen this liquor store go down hill drastically due to the new ownership. Its not a clean or safe environment anymore even if you remove the current virus. This is not the place for all of the issues. Please support another liquor store.
