New bike is unbelievable. Went out for a 25, did lots of road, some trails, bike went through soft sand like butter. Took it on some 50 degree hills, no problem. This bike is sweet. If you want an all around bike that can go almost anywhere. I do recommend this bike. Cycle loft is nothing short of Professional. Very happy with the entire experience. Fun, Enjoyable.

The service was amazing- when a product that is very hard to find (like most cycling products out there right now) went out of stock, they were able to suggest a product that would work just as well- something no other bike shop had been able to do. They worked with me to get the new product shipped out to me quickly. Knowledgable and considerate- solid combination!

This place has top not customer service and quick turn around for online orders. Doug is very nice and has a vast amount of information. Dont hesitate if youre looking for a place to buy a bike or supplies.I have been searching for a discontinued pair of Bontrager shoes. This is the only place in the United States that showed stock of my size. I emailed them today to ask a question regarding the 2 sizes they had in stock. I received an auto-reply email stating that a response my be delayed due to their uptick in emails and calls, which I thought was very understandable and figured Id hear from them within the next few days.Instead of waiting for a response to my questions, I went ahead and ordered the shoes in the size I thought I needed since I didnt want to risk them being sold. About 2 hours after I placed my order, and 3 hours after I sent the email with questions, I received a call from Doug about my order and email. He was very informative, professional and answered my questions I had asked in the email. He also let me know he would be shipping the items tomorrow and that if I didnt like them, to reach back out to him and we could work to find a shoe that might work better.I was very impressed by him taking the time to call me and discuss everything and the quick turn around of the order since Im sure theyre like every other bike shop and are insanely busy.

Came in during the time of industry-wide part shortages and labor shortages, hoping to maybe find a few parts I needed. Instead, I was greeted, helped to choose between two name-brand computer mounts, and got every item on my list! Great selection and service!

Service kindness knowledge and affordability… Each time i have gone into the store i have been amazed at the kindness the attentiveness and the service offered at cycle loft Burlington. This time of covid has taught us a lot and kindness is key to not only the survival of a business but how we should now be operating as humans . Sadly its not the case everywhere, so i only spend money where i receive kindness knowledge service. Otherwise i. Am quick to tell them why and to leave… At cycle loft. The staff is both knowledgeable and incredibly friendly and helpful. They ask a lot of questions and to do a LOT of listening. They also have the ability to explain things in an understandable way, completely devoid of condescension. Theirs is a “comfortable” expertise — they demonstrate it through their actions, sharing examples, and easy conversation— not by trying to hit you over the head with their knowledge. I was impressed that every single staff member with whom I had interaction was like this. Stu, Vinny, Brendan, and Brien. It is clear that they are passionate about what they do. They are tremendous assets.

My son broke the brakes on his brand new Trek Marlin 6. Unfortunately our local bike shop did not have the part and we were told Trek would not have it available until December. We were given 2 bike shops in a 500 mile radius of Maryland that possibly had the parts. CYCLE LOFT had 1 left in stock and agreed to ship it to me. We were so grateful since it seems this is the only hydraulic brake in the country. These guys are great. If I lived in MassachusettsI would be there a lot. STOP IN AND SAY HI TO DOUG! He is full of useful biking information.

I purchased an expensive bike from CycleLoft from out of state. Anthony spent 2 hours setting me up to ensure the bike fits me perfectly. They held the bike for a month until I was able to pick. Great group of folks with stellar communication z. The shop is pretty big with of lots inventory. Wish my LBS has the same . Very happy with my purchase

I thought I provided good customer service to my own customers, but after meeting Doug I now know what incredible, above and beyond, customer service is. I went in recently to buy a dual suspension mountain bike. Doug took the time to size up the perfect bike and options for me. He took a lot of time to help and the time was priceless. I can tell you that because he took so much time to help me find the perfect bike that I will NEVER go anywhere else for a bike for the remainder of my life. I will service my bike here and when I upgrade eventually to carbon I will go back here to buy my expensive bike because I know they will put me in the perfect bike and take the time to help me with the nuisances. Absolute best resource in New England for a British Brompton.Cycle Loft supplied me the model, configuration, features, accessories and even the color I was seeking to buy after I did extensive research.Excellent knowledgeable technicians, mechanics., sales advisors all onsite. They are professionals who listen, advise, explain and get it right.Doug setup my Brompton perfectly for my short stature, gave advice and answered all questions about my concern maintaining the chain .(lubricant products are sold in the shop )First service / maintenance appointment free with the bike purchase.Cycle loft has the tough to find Brompton accessories including rear luggage rack, custom snap on briefcase and borough shopping bag,... Vinny located a Brompton rain cover, tested it for me and it fits like a glove on the folded bike......very durable and practical item.I wouldnt shop bicycles or do repairs anywhere else in New England.

I traveled with my bike to Boston, unfortunately, due to mishandling of the bike by the airline carrier, the bikes fork got seriously bent inward as well as got twisted. I went to another bike shop first that recommended changing the fork and did not even accepted the bike to be repaired. The Cycle Loft staff though accepted to work on the bike and cautioned me that the fix might not be doable. Nevertheless, they flawlessly fixed the fork. I am very impressed by the quality of the work and their professionalism.

Showed up on a rainy day and Liam helped us out. I was wanting to trade in my bike, and they were honest from the start, which I appreciated. I ended up just selling it on Facebook instead. Liam helped answer all my questions and found me the perfect bike. Cycle loft had a great selection on site and everyone was very nice. It is worth the drive from boston!

I bought a bike here about two weeks ago. I explained what I needed and there was no over-selling. Salesperson explained everything and was able to find something to fit my needs. Had the pleasure of dealing with Tyler Andrew and Anthony in the service shop. All three are excellent and really know their stuff. I have a rather expensive bike so Im always worried when going to a new shop. Within the first few minutes of talking to Tyler who was my main tech I knew that he was very knowledgeable and that my bike would be in safe hands.A lot of the reviews on here are negative because of COVID-19 mask mandates that the owner adhered to to keep his employees safe. I say good job to the owner for keeping everyone safe.Ask for Tyler Anthony or Andrew if youre taking your bike into be serviced You wont be disappointed.

Superb customer service. I had very little idea of what I was doing--still, the employee who helped me was patient, understanding, helpful, and educated me about what I needed and what they had to serve my needs. He took the time to explain in detail what I needed and why, and how do use the products even though he was serving me just minutes before closing (Id arrived well before, but stood in line for a while).Highly recommended. Prices are low, selection is wide, and employees are knowledgeable and humble.

Just stood there for 45 minutes while employee sat at register explaining to customer ever different type of trek bike the guy wasn’t buying. I thought I might be being impatient until he went on to spend 10 more minutes on kick stands which his model didn’t have either. Looks like a fine place. Pandemic delays are inevitable. But Cycle Loft did a good job of helping me understand my options as I waited for parts to arrive and a product to be delivered. Forthcoming, (i.e., honest), professional and helpful. I really love this cycling store!

Cycle Loft customers range from the quite serious professional to those like me who are decidedly recreational bicyclists. The service provided to each customer is warmly personal and expert; all are treated equally. There are many Cycle Loft service employees -- for example, Steve, Brien and Kevin more recently and Zack in the past -- whom I have enjoyed over the years and who have treated me very well. In addition, the Specialized and Bontragger parts and paraphernalia offered by Cycle Loft, as well as all the other products (there is nothing bicycling-related that you cant find at Cycle Loft) are very reliable.

Staff was excellent- friendly, knowledgeable- and didnt make you feel stupid for asking questions. That last part is really important. I have been to more than a dozen bike shops in the last 3 months and at least 3 of them had that issue. Will definitely shop there again.UPDATE: just had my first experience with the bike mechanics at cycle Loft- in short, amazing. Across the board- customer service, knowledge, friendliness, all awesome. They carefully explained the problem what they would to fix, and how I could deal with it in the future.

The staff here has been very helpful in processing my out-of-state order. During the bike drought of 2020, its been tough to find stock, let alone good service. Ive had multiple phone contacts and emails from different employees, all knowledgeable and kind.Also know this store is both a Specialized dealer and a Trek dealer, one of few around. So customers have twice the option to pick from!

Ive been to many bike shops in MA and NH, but this one is by far the best. Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable mechanics. If keeping your bike in good shape is a priority to you, then I always follow their advice. Ive also used them for a bike fitting, which made a huge difference in my ride experience afterwards, and to have a bike shipped from another country. Very reliable. I will buy my next bike from them for sure.

I had a wonderful experience with ordering a bicycle from Cycle Loft. I came to the store in mid-April to purchase a built bicycle I saw online. Because they no longer had one built, they offered to build one for me with no obligation to buy. The quote for my bicycle build was three weeks. It was ready early (almost by a full week) and it was even better than I expected in-person. I got to take it for a spin, they answered any and all questions, and I then received confirmation that same day of my thirty-day complimentary tune-up. While waiting for my bike, I ordered a basket to pickup in store, which was also easy to pickup with the bike. Cycle Loft also had an efficient and safe check-in process for COVID-19. Im looking forward to being a customer and bringing my bike here in the years to come.

I often travel to the Cycle Loft even though I live closer to other bike shops because their service is superior. At my most recent visit, I was given a quick estimate of the cost of having the brake cables and disc pads on my commuting bike replaced. The store was clearly very busy, but my bike was serviced and ready to pick up the same day. During the same visit, my boyfriend was shopping for a new bike. A knowledgeable staff member named Liam remained calm and collected as he simultaneously managed a long line of people waiting for help, delegated tasks to coworkers, and patiently worked with us to explain all the bike options available and answer our many questions. His new bike was built up and ready to ride in less than a week!My only suggestion is that the Cycle Loft should hire more female salespeople and mechanics!

Weve loved having Cycle Loft as our go to place for years now - theyve serviced our Bromptons really well (one of which was purchased with Jeffs help) and we were really impressed this time by Brians superlative service. Really expert work and super friendly; were grateful to have his touch on our much-loved bikes!

Excellent customer experience. Several employees offered to assist me even though I was just browsing. When I finally found the item I wanted to purchase (S-Works Power Arc Saddle), Vander quickly articulated your return/exchange policy which was suitable to me given that saddles are a difficult item to make work due to personal preference, sizing, etc. Even with a temporary internet outage, Vander handled the purchase professionally and followed up just as he indicated.

Dont go here on a weekend. They are really short staffed. Waited for more than half an hour for a quick transaction.

About a month ago, I had a couple older bikes serviced and bought a new bike at Cycle Loft. The service/repair techs were knowledgeable and analyzed what I needed. Despite parts shortages, they got it done. While there, I decided to look at a mountain bike. Doug was fantastic. I ended up buying a terrific Trek Roscoe 7. Cycle Loft is the go-to shop for me which I really trust.

Ordered a bike in the fall with my local favorite bike store and by spring it was clear that it was not arriving, so called around looking for the bike- ended up talking to Doug at CycleLoft, chose another bike and it came more or less within 2 months. Now it is here and awesome. Very happy to have a great new bike now!

The staff at Cycle Loft are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I loved the one-on-one customer service I received. I didn’t give them 5 stars because I wasn’t able to freely browse the store and had to make a line to get into the store. I went to Goodales and Buchikas in the same week and just walked in and browsed all their inventory. As a novice who has recently gotten into biking, I would have loved to be able to really immerse myself in what the store had to offer.

Needed chain oiling and handle bar red raised. Brian in service checked it out and in 15 minutes took care of me. Outstanding service! Thank you.

Terrible. Will never go back and definitely do not recommend. The owner was incredibly disrespectful after selling me an accessory that did not include the appropriate hardware to fit my $3K bike that I purchased from them...rather than acknowledging that the accessory was lacking the hardware to suit the bike, he tried to charge me $40 to install it. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or experienced such horrible treatment by a business in my entire life.

These folks have great bikes and gear. They know how to take care of their customers. The service department is great and the sales staff know their product.

I had many years of excellent purchase and repair service at Cycle Loft. But for the last two times I brought my bike in for service, I have been dissatisfied. The first time, they did not complete the work I had asked for. When I pointed it out, they took the bike back immediately and completed the work. Today, after a week in the shop, I picked up the bike and test rode it. Good thing I did, I had no brake. When I told the service advisor that the brakes were fine when I brought the bike in and that I wanted to have my brake fixed, he said, No. In all seriousness, he said no. When I spoke to the manager, he said the brakes needed to be bled. My comment was fine, fix it. They brought the bike in immediately and It turns out the bike had a defective caliper. Thats not Cycle Lofts fault and thanks for the quick service. Nevertheless, I have 2 problems with their service: 1. Why Cycle Loft returned my bike with faulty brakes that they had noted, but failed to tell me. 2. When I told them that my brakes were not working and needed to be fixed, they should have said, Thats too bad. Lets have a look. I spoke to the manager and the owner about the oversights, I belive that going forward they will be fixed.

Quick service - fixed up the bicycle for my wife in 15 minutes and we are back on the road.

I bought a Trek Emonda SL7 and that needed the derailleur adjusted so I drove to the shop and had the mechanic check it out. On the spot he knew exactly what to do and made the adjustments.During the process I needed some bar tape and he helped me pick out a color that matched the color of my bike.Just an awesome, courteous, great experience.

Very few people know how to repair sturnry archer hubs on a vintage style bike. Another bike shop in Cambridge quoted me $800 with a 3 month wait. Anthony fixed the bike for under 200 in two weeks. He even retrofitted an LED light into the big vintage headlight which goes on automatically when you pedal fantastic!. Doug took the time to find a part for my Thule bike rack that was very difficult to locate and offered to install it if I had any trouble!

Somewhat of an odd COVID shopping experience. Felt honored and privileged to be allowed to even enter the store. Only to be told that my family had to separate because it was too many persons. Yet the same sales person then handled all of us. What’s the point of separating then if this was in the interest of the employee? In a culmination, all prices on kids bikes were blacked out by marker so you couldn’t read the price. Just plain odd....other shops in the area handle the challenge considerably better.

I became a daily, year-round cycle commuter 6 years ago at age 49. I was aided tremendously by a very small shop located in Inman Sq. on my commute into Boston. They knew me, they knew my bike, they nurtured my transition from being a fair-weather Friday commuter into a 4,600 commuter miles every year rider. But then they closed, and I needed a new service shop. The Cycle Loft is bigger, a bit more expensive, and far less conveniently located (nowhere near my commute!) But my experiences there have been excellent. Not everybody in the service department knows me and my bike by sight like the old place, but the more experienced mechanics are really great at making sure I get what I need, and prioritize my service as a daily commuter with only one bike. I know I need a second bike, and probably a third, and the staff knows it too, but I have never been pressured to buy what I cant afford. On the single location that an inappropriate part was installed, it was spotted on my next visit. They bought the part pack, and replaced it with no service charge. They want it to be right, they care that it is right, and they will make it right. I miss my old shop in Inman Sq., but my experiences with the Cycle Loft have been consistently outstanding over the past 3 years, and I look forward to many more.

I just bought my first adult bike and cycle loft made it very easy! I was researching online and was stuck in between sizes. Called the store and they helped me pick the right size for me and checked inventory. Set up pickup date and got my bike as planned.

CycleLoft carried all the products I was interested in and then some. I liked the variety of brands. Doug was my salesman, he was very helpful in making my decision. His knowledge of all things bikes was impressive. I made it a point to talk to him the second time I came in since I was impressed with his knowledge.He also helped with the bike setup, I felt well taken care of by both Doug and the guy that assembled the bike.I later came back with a used bike I purchased on my own, the service guy was helpful in explaining what the bike needed and did not need. I left with a better understanding of by bikes. They do not try to sell you services you do not need, they take care of you.

Cycle loft is a true neighborhood bike shop. The shop is always well stocked and super organized. My family has purchased 2 high end gravel bikes and each had a great sales and support experience. Cycle Loft is my go-to-shop for all service needs. I just had a tubeless tire that leaked all season, finally corrected and it is such a relief knowing it was done with care and precision.

Mechanics are excellent, saved me just days before an international flight with a significant repair, and did it while I waited/sweated. Have bought 3 bikes from them…so far…n+1=s-1…

Where else can you show up with your bike and often get repairs done while you wait...even during a pandemic?! Professional, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Both my wife (an occasional rider) and me (a more avid rider) have bought bikes here and been very happy with the bike fitting and follow-up service.

Both on the phone and in the shop, my questions were answered, pros and cons of different options I was considering were explained, and I got lots of tips about how to decide what to buy and then how to maintain it. Everyone I spoke to in both sales and service seemed knowledgeable and generous with their help.

Excellent shop with fast, professional service.

I have been a customer of Cycle Loft for over ten years and have consistently been pleased with the products they sell and the service they provide. My Trek Madone bike has been serviced by them and kept in great working condition, starting with a great fitting job by Joel Adams. I recently developed a biomechanical problem that made it tough for me to release safely from my SPD pedals. Anthony went over and above to work with me and develop a solution with a pedal and shoe change that put the fun back in my cycling, throwing in some cycling technique hints along the way. Service was fast, thorough and fairly priced. The store was immaculate and the covid procedure was very clear with both explanation on the website and signage at the store. I went in to have a new bike assembled and checked over. I was standing outside in line with the bike, baby carriage and my 3 year old daughter. An employee excused himself from a test drive in the parking lot and helped me inside and suggested I wait for service out of the cold. I appreciated this very much and will continue to drive 30 minutes fork my home to Cycle Loft for all my bike needs. Overall a lovely experience due to prompt and caring service.

This is the worst bike shop that I went to service my bike. The owner and manager were very rude and condescending. If you are purchasing something from them, they will very nice to service you. I believe most of the good reviews are from purchasing or repair customers. However, they treated customers with valid warranty or good will very badly. If you are planning an warranty service with them, you should prepare for a horrible shoppers experience.

I bought a bike online from Cycle Loft. Communication before, during and after the sale was absolutely perfect. The shop sent me tracking info as soon as it shipped, it arrived quickly, and the bike was perfectly packaged. The bike was clean and really easy to assemble. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in MA or further afield.

These guys are great! I trust no other shop to take care of my precious road bikes.
