Had a great experience here while getting my tires changed. They had the best price and were able to change my tires the same day. The manager Emil was very helpful and knowledgeable.

On vacation before I make a trip back home out of state from Cali. Most ran down Pep Boys I’ve ever been too, facility is filthy. Had a appointment at 9am and Sat there for a 1.5 hours before they even touch my vehicle. They only had one tech from 8-9am then finally got another at 9am then one more at 10am. Very disappointed. Asked for a oil change/ tire rotation and only got a oil change after waiting that long making me wait even longer. Would’ve went to Walmart for that kind of service. Also was told making appointment time doesn’t matter, just having a appointment makes you guaranteed your car will be finished that day.

Great organization. Emil G. was the best. He listened to my needs and was attentive and very customer-oriented. Best service I have had for a vehicle repair. I will be back for sure. They are super honest. I was greeted at the time of my appointment and left before the estimated time of repair. I was explained my options and the repair. A happy customer. This happened last September (2020) but its relevant and Pep Boys never attempted to make this right, so here it is. This place is gross and I will never be back.----Disgusted by the service I had at this location today. Set an appointment for 2:30 and when I got there I was told it would be 1.5-2 hours because they were backed up on appointments. Yet, I was the only one in the waiting room.I figured Id just pass the time while waiting, but it felt like 110 degrees outside and thanks to COVID, there was no water in the waiting room. By 3:15 - 45 minutes later - no one had looked at my car beyond checking the odometer. I went back in to the service desk to ask for my keys back. I didnt even get an argument -- he just gave it back to me, and said, again, that they were backed up on appointments.I understand if it takes a little bit of time to service a vehicle, but an appointment should be a contract, and it shouldnt take hours to GET STARTED on a job that was supposed to be in play at 2:30. Another reviewer said they should just alert us if theyre running late -- if someone had bothered to call me before I got there and say hey, we wont get started until 4 I would have accepted that. But that would require professionalism which did not exist from this location.I wont be back to this location and I echo the other reviews about poor customer service because this guy didnt seem sorry at all, like it was expected to take hours. Shame because I have been to Pep Boys before in other locations, and they never disappointed the way I was disappointed today.The store, by the way, has a great selection, but theres no point in buying something if you cant pay someone to install it.Oh, and FINALLY... when they did check my odometer, they left my car unlocked. Way to protect my property, bozos.

Also if you care about protecting yourself and others from covid then this is not the place to be. All workers were maskless when entering the facility.I showed up yesterday and the guy behind the register recommending scheduling my oil change for 5pm today. I showed up today on time and I was told my car wouldn’t be serviced until at least 6pm. What is the point of asking me to schedule if I’m still going to wait over an hour for a simple oil change?Valvoline gets in done in 15 minutes. Go to Valvoline.

Second time I’ve been here. First time waited over 3 hours WITH a reservation just to get an oil changed on a not so busy day. Today I went to get my washer fluid hose fixed at 8am and took over 4 hours. 3 of those hours I watched my car sit with no one touching it. Then when they finished I noticed my ac and rear view camera isn’t working. They said they had nothing to do with it but was working perfectly before handing off the car. Now here I am stairing at my car again while nobody works on it once again. Never come here. Go anywhere else but here if you value your own time

Went there for service. They try to upsell you a little bit, but super cheap and friendly. They dont push if you say No.

My car has a unique lemony quality that triggers the air pressure light within 24 hours of any oil change. This usually means I have to stare at the pressure indicator light until I return to a shop (usually Toyota N. Hollywood) and have them reset the system to get that light to stay off. Its been 6 days now and no pressure light has reared its ugly head. Success!

What a terrible auto shop. I made a appointment for oil change at 9 am, but I had been waiting for it for over 3 hours. Dont waste your time here. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE.

Made an appointment to have my first service using the Pep Boys Pre-Paid Service Plan I purchased when I bought the car. It was the first appointment of the day and I arrived a little early to makes sure I can get in and out. 9:20AM rolls around and I am finally seen by someone. I present the coupon and he says it will take about 2 hours. No problem. 10 minutes later he walks up and says that I will have to bring the cat in another day. Why!? Because they cannot verify that my coupon is valid... Why? Because the office is closed.... ah... I am sure this has happened before, couldnt you have verified that before you booked the appointment? The service plan is a Pep Boys service plan... I dont understand how this is possible... when I purchased this plan (which wasnt cheap), they didnt say that I cant have service on Sundays.... and the rep was very dismissive... now I have to figure out another day DURING THE WEEK to have my car serviced. But I am not coming back here... scrubs

I swear on my life I will never set foot in a pep boys as long as I live.I called ahead to see what replacing my car battery would cost. I told them the make and model of my car, and was told it would be $165. I came into the store, told the technician the make and model of my car, and he said replacing my battery would cost $165. So by this point, Im fairly certain it will cost $165, right? The technician then hands me the form to sign off, and I notice hes written my old vehicle down. I, again, tell him the make and model of my car, and he says it will cost nearly $300 to replace the batter. Excuse me? But Im in a bind, so I tell them to proceed with the repairs. I get on the phone with a customer service rep, who quotes me two different batteries at two different prices ($104 and $124.) So he gets on the phone with the store and puts me on hold. When he comes back, he makes some attempt to explain why Im being charged nearly three times the lowest quoted price for a battery. I try to explain why this is still an issue, because now Ive been quoted five different prices four different times. Then the pep boys technician who I spoke with in the store started to well, actually... me. In a (fairly justified, Id say) fit of rage, I canceled my service.I then called AAA, who replaced my battery for $177 in the pep boys parking lot, and offered better customer service to boot.

Came in for a starter to a 75 Chevy Van. Only had one in stock. Picked it up. Its working. Cant complain. Store was big and clean. Almost too big. Staff is friendly and nice.

I cannot say enough about Pep Boys especially for small service I go there to change my oil and its the cheapest place that I can find in town for synthetic oil change.But this particular day today was Sunday and I could not find a place. my exhaust pipe had fallen off and was wiggling and literally smacking on the ground and no other Auto Body place was open and another Pep Boys was too busy.I went to this particular Pep Boys talked to Steven on the phone and it was like 4:15 and they were closing at 6 and hes like bring it over well look at it. they looked it over and put the exhaust back on the hanger didnt charge me anything.I wanted to pay him a $20 tip I literally was putting it into his pocket and he kept telling me no no no. These guys are the greatest general Pep Boys is the greatest but this one was a above and beyond

This place gave me excellent customer service. I had problems with my brakes, after having them replaced at a different pepboys. This store stood buy the warranty for the repair, assessed the car and did a full replacement on the rotors and brakes. They said the pads were not good even though they were the recommended type. Squeezing me in without an appointment was very King of them.Id definitely recommend this location, trustworthy and helpful.

Went in for brake job at one store was sent to another without appointment. Was told ball joint needed replaced. Replaced upper control arm instead. Was rushed out door and told they couldnt do front end alignment because a bushing needed replaced. Was told a trail arm bushing. No written estimate given. Turns out it is called strut rod bushing on my make and model. Told them I would make appointment because it was dangerous driving it because it pulled hard to left . Made appointment and service manager was off. No one knew what it needed. Was sent away and told to come back next day. Said I wanted written estimate. Was quoted $764 to properly align front end. Afterwards took vehicle to shop specializing in front end alignment. He told me the problem for hard pull to left is because the control arm was not properly installed. Was charged $20 to fix the problem with control arm and given wheel alignment. It no longer pulls hard to the left. Now feel safe driving it again. Crazy to think they wanted me to pay for their mistake. Worst mechanic shop experience of my life.

I like the honesty of the people there. I went for my cars wheel alignment but they refused by saying that it needed a special tool that they dont have. Thank you for the honesty and God bless you team Pep boys.

Even with an appointment, it takes 6 hours. They are sooooooooooooooo slow. This is EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to ANY pep boys. Its excruciating. I hate the Lyft stuck this partnership with them. Hate it.

I took my car for an oil change and the apt was at 11:30 am I arrived on time and was completely ignored by the person at the counter that was talking to another client. I understand that he was busy but there was no greeting what so ever. Then I was told it would be an hour and 30 minutes for the service. That they would call me when the car was ready. The call never came and after 2 hours I just showed up and was told the car wasn’t ready. Then the guy went back to check and then said I’m sorry it’s being ready for a while and yet. NOBODY CALLED ME.

I had been told by a few people NOT to go to Pep Boys in Burbank. So, this morning when my battery and terminals suddenly needed replaced (on a Sunday when shops are closed), where did I go? Autozone just down the street. However, Autozone wouldnt change my battery because they didnt have enough people on staff until after noon. Then, told me that they wouldnt do it anyway, because I also needed the terminals replaced, and that was too much work. Huh? So, I drove the car (left it running at every stop to make sure the battery didnt die again) another 20 minutes to Pep Boys on Olive Ave in Burbank because they were open. Well, Im GLAD I DID. Not only did the battery and terminals need replaced, but as soon as I popped the hood, we (myself and STEVE in the service dept) spotted a really bad leak at the top of my radiator! Steve, Mario, and the other service guys who installed everything were terrific. Steve helped me every way he ethically could to make sure I could financially get this done immediately. I can honestly say, this was probably the absolute best customer service Ive ever received. Im not sure when my friends had gone there, or who they dealt with when they had a bad experience, but my case was not like theirs. So, if you need to go to Pep Boys on Olive Ave, ask for Steve or Mario. Most importantly, BE NICE TO THEM! Dont be one of those dick customers.

I took my car there for a tire rotation and alignment they couldnt the alignment which is fine but now any time turn right there is a clunking at the wheels. On the rotation they only do one side because the driver side rear wheel, they apparently couldnt remove the lugs nuts because theyre to tight.I brought it home and was able to take off 3 of the 4, 1 of which is striped probably from them.To top it off they have mechanic thieves, sunglasses where there now theyre not.I recommend not going to this pep boys

It was a return visit from work they have done on our car less than a year ago that broke down again, BUT the service people were very helpful and understanding and gave us a HUGE break. Got it done in a day and back on the road just fine now. Knowing a small mechanic is always better, but the people at this specific store were a major help this time. Thank you to their service people and Alex who worked to give us an amazing deal.

My experience was what I typically expect from Pep Boys, disappointing. My gf needed tires for her Smart car and nobody had the size she needed, except the Boys. They ordered them in a timely manner and scheduled an appointment quickly. The service began and we watched as the tech unmounted the tire. Thats when we noticed he nicked the wheel. We didnt raise a fuss until the car was ready. It had the clear coat chipped and we werent happy. We complained. Now the 3 stars is basically for Arthur the service manager. He took care of the issue and made us whole. I appreciate his customer service and professionalism. Besides the nicked wheels, everything else was fine. Thanks to Art, you guys got 3 stars instead of 1.

Not a lot of workers to assist so you might have to wait a bit if you need help but bug store with a lot of items. Pretty clean place and never packed. Favorite auto parts store to visit

I showed up here 30 minutes before they closed with a dead battery. They were able to immediately look at my car, test the battery, confirm my alternator was working and that the battery was bad, and replace it right away. The service was excellent and the selection in the store is great as well. Very highly recommended.

Steven in the service department was very helpful. He even helped me out with setting up a Lyft account so that I could make my meeting on time while they worked on my truck. I give Steven 5 stars but 4 stars to the store because his co-worker who was rude to Steven when he asked him for some help locating me in the pepboys client database. I wont mention the other guys name because I dont want to get him in trouble. I hope someone will show the other guy this post, so he realizes that customers notice hes a dick. Hopefully hell change his ways. Other than that Thanks to Pep Boys for fixing my truck quickly and getting me back on the road so I could make it home at a decent time.

Honestly one of my preferred pepboys in the area, staff are very knowledgable and know what theyre doing, had my car serviced here multiple times and have been more than satisfied with with the work they did on my truck, will definitely recommend this pepboys from the whole area

So This place is horrible customer service so i walk in last night and i ask the person on desk to help me out to take out six bolt from my car and he said no we can not do this i can give tool u can do it your self and i ask him i dont need this for free u can charge me and he said we can not do this job you need to find auto body shop so i ask can you help me since am not from this area and the response was me too so i left and came back after 45 min since could not find it the i beg the guy to do that once again then he agree and want to charge me $75.00 so be aware of this location and i will say go few mile further and look for O Reilly Auto park and ask for Dwight men this guy is amazing u will never be unhappy.

Excellent quick service.

We came to change just one tire and the service people said it would take an hour and a half. So we go eat and walk around and come back and about an hour and a half goes by and the car hasnt even been brought into to ports yet and there was room for our car to be in there already. Then when we check the status of our car they then move our car into the port that has been empty for a while. Then when I tried to reason with him, and being nice but saying it is kind of dumb for us to have to ask for them to move our car in when there was an open spot for a while he just makes excuses and doesnt even apologize or anything. Worst service and they just dont care about having you leave a happy customer. Would rather go to a family owned business with respect for their customers.

A good place for tires, oil changes, minor services. Larger repairs seem a bit too high but then, that could just be me.

Dont trust them theyll find something wrong with your car even if you just drove it off the dealers lot across the street. My wife went in for an oil change they told her she needed a water pump replaced which without her knowledge had been replace three months prior. Then they gave her an old water pump to demonstrate just how bad it was and it wasnt even for our maker model not only that they didnt replace the water pump it was the same water pump that had been replace two months prior.So I took the car back to the dealer to verify the water pump was a pumping and install three months earlier and a verified the old water pump they gave us wasnt even for our maker model of car. We fought over the bill for two weeks until I had an attorney called and they agreed to reimburse us for all our expenses. And then had the nerve to ask us if we would still remain customers.

The service I got here was downright insulting. I dropped off my car at 11:30 for an oil change, I was told it would be ready at 3:00. So naturally I returned at 3:00 to a completely empty store only to be told that they havent even started working on my car. Awful customer service. An insult not just to me but to the integrity of all previous pep boys visits Ive had. Never coming back till they get rid of their lazy ways.

This Pep Boys is great. I went in for something unrelated to my battery but when i went to start my car it was dead. I had no money for a new battery and it was too dead for them to charge. They explained that the gas station gauge may have been off, and my tires were still low. They put in more air, and the light went off! It all took less than 20 minutes; thanks, guys!

Used to go here all time for oil change great service.however last time I took it for oil change I got my car back with a knock coming from right front tire it wasnt there before. I took it back all they did was visual check and till this day still have that annoying sound coming from my car when I drive.

I have had a couple of negative experiences at this place now. Once I bought a refrigerant bottle from them with a redemption value the state of California upholds. Took it back and the same teller who remembered me had to go get her manager because I didnt have the receipt. The guy wanted to give me store credit in lieu of cash. I dont think the state would be thrilled by this as it does not serve the purpose of the law to have a bunch of refrigerant bottles floating around like mine is because I left with the bottle.Just recently the guy in the back of the store told me hed get me a gasket by 2:30 yesterday. So 3:00 comes and no call. Now I am waiting for this gasket still not driving and its the next morning. I waited on hold for 20 minutes to have some lame tell the driver didnt bring my gasket. He was actually surprised when I gave him the verbal bird. Now its 8 am how much do you want to bet my gasket is not at that store? I paid for it to be there yesterday, where could it be? Its probably on some thc ridden knobs to do list existing in his head at this point, watch...

Im simply stunned. Price for a synthetic oil change was over $100. I literally could have paid less than half of that down the road a mile, but I went with it because I was in a hurry and they could patch a tire while the other place couldnt (which ended up being a waste because it turned out the tire couldnt be patched anyway, but thats a side issue).I was told it could all be done within the hour. This was around 9 AM. It wasnt until just before 12 that I got a call to come pick up the car.On top of that, they filled it with the wrong weight oil.This is not the service I paid a premium price for.

You always have everything expensive. Today I wanted to buy 4 tires mechelen, but I did not buy, because at $160 more expensive that costco, mobile oil 5w30 $31 and Walmart $23, etc.

Not much selection

I always change the oil and filter for my cars at this location. The guys are very friendly. Last time they even suggested to go to their Web site to get more discounts on oil change. And its good to talk to a person who knows what he/she sells.

Made an 11 appointment for an oil change and didnt get my car back till after 1:30 in the afternoon. Avoid getting any service here like the plague.
